The pi gets hot really fast. If it is rebooting the heat may be the problem. Try cooling it down.
temp 40.1 °C... I have the RPI vented with a fan.

This time it was "the worst case scenario". cgminer frozen for as least 1 hour, until I saw my hashing graphics @ Triplemining.com and connected home and had to reboot the RPI.

I could connect to the RPI via SSH, enter screen mode, but cgminer was frozen, not updating the display or accepting commands. I had to force a "sudo reboot" to reboot RPI. It was 13:05 and cgminer stopped working @ 11:56:17, as can be seen in this print screen:

2 more RPI reboots during the night...

UPDATE: One more reboot during the morning...

I use one of those and I'm waiting for 2 more. I use it with a multivolt power unit that gives me 7,5Amperes @ 5volts.
and the cutting the power cord and wiring 4 of them to one of these

it works great on my pi
I need to have one of those.

Interesting... my RPI started rebooting several times a day after using the new 0.2.3 MinePeon image. I don't know if it's the LCD... I'm going to not start the LCDStatus program to see if the RPI does more reboots.

My RPI restarted again 3 hours ago, this time without the LCDStats python2 program running. Definitely something is wrong with this last distribution.

Did it restart OK?  Also were you running 0.2.3 or 0.2.3a?

Neil
0.2.3. Both RPI and cgminer restart (I would love to see cgminer keep mining with the OS doing a reboot...  Grin) with no problems and I don't loose almost anything, as it only fails to mine for several seconds.

I'm going to write the new 0.2.3a (already download from SourceForce) in a SD card and later on, after arriving home, I'll try the new version.

UPDATE: Neil, the new 0.2.3a is identified as 0.2.3 (without the a) @ the Status Page. Is it normal?
New update: I started the new 0.2.3a version and my RPI rebooted after 5 minutes. The LCD was working.

After that reboot (all restarted without problems), the RPI is now working for 2 hr 18 min 42 sec without other problems. LCD is working fine.

Restarted again after 3 hr 30 sec. Working fine again after reboot.

No photo of the coins... the link to the dropbox is in error... perhaps it is not in the public area of your dropbox...

UPDATE: Now I can see them. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I am in the process of uploading a new 'test' image that I am going to call MinePeon-0.2.3a .

It is identical to 0.2.3 EXCEPT it includes the libraries, files and startup for both PiMiner and cgminerLCDStats.  If you have either of those LCD shields (or both) they should startup at boot.

Neil
WOW, Neil! You are the best! Thanks.
337  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 19, 2013, 09:39:31 PM
It's only me, or there is something strange with the macaddress that the DHCP's are receiving from eth0 of the new version of MinePeon?

With the old 0.2.2, I was receiving the usual 12 digits, but with the new version, the Windows 2010 server's IPv4 DHCP receives 36 digits. I compared it to the IPv6 macaddress (with ifconfig -a) and it's not the same.

My La Fonera 2.0 router refused to give the reserved IP I had for the RPI and gives a new one.

What could be wrong?
338  Local / Portugal / Re: 1º BFL Jalapeno Tuga :D on: August 19, 2013, 09:20:25 PM

339  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 19, 2013, 08:51:59 PM
Two bugs I ran into in the latest update:
1) On the advanced tab, some columns have too many decimals, like this:

2) When I tried changing the WebUI password, it locked me out and I had to reflash to fix it.
2) It's a bug. It blanks the password instead of changing it. To change password, goto Advanced / Settings, where you need to write the new password 2 times.
340  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 19, 2013, 08:49:58 PM
How can I automate it? Please don't forget I'm less than a noobie @ Linux. I don't know Linux! I'm a pure donkey...

Now we are into the new version I am going to be working on screen support, I actually have one of those LCD's (I even put it together) and I will be getting them going soon.

Neil
Many thanks, Neil  Cheesy
