Since you have free power why don't you just try diffrent coins and see what gives you the best profit?

Have you tried any primecoin based coins?

There is a ton of new CPU miners out for cryptonight now. Do you recommend switching from lucasjones?
I have a CPU from 2011.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help in setting up Raspberry Pi with my Scrypt ASICs on: June 07, 2014, 05:00:43 PM
Film,

Try bfgminer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=517451.0) , I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Also, if you're using putty, you can copy text and use right click to paste in the terminal.

If you need any help, I'd be happy to help you.

OK I've tried BFGminer and nothing worked.Since I've basically had enough of trying to make the Raspberry Pi 'just work',I've decided to look into an alternative system as I can't keep taking time out of my professional film work to make this cumbersome thing work.

Time is money for me.Wonder if anyone here can help me find a cheap windows netbook on ebay in the UK instead? Even though I think windows is useless compared to the mac (except no mining programs are available for the mac either)/Raspberry Pi,I just don't see any other option now.

Errors I had during this stage:
git clone -b feature/gridseed-support https://github.com/nwoolls/bfgminer

Error:‘FATAL:REMOTE BRANCH FEATURE/GRIDSEED-SUPPORT NOT FOUND IN UPSTREAM ORIGIN UNEXPECTED END OF COMMAND STREAM’ (sorry about the caps but I just wrote it down without double checking first)

Edit:Unless someone is willing to help me out by making a premade SD card ROM for me where all I have to do is plug in my miners, type my details and just get started,I'll go for another solution. Is there anyone out here who can help me with a pre-made SD card ROM for this situation for a price?

Why not DL an image with GS support?

A group buy was intended for anyone who may want to invest with a group of close friends or their family members not a group of "small timers" trying to turn this back into what we just ended. It would be in one person's name and they would be responsible for answering to there family members. This is not a solicitation for someone to organize a forum based group buy, but to contact us through our website and participate like any other client has done thus far through our sales staff. There are packages starting at $20,000 for the farm share subscriptions however the residential lots are available to those interested. Discounts will be honored according to the email sent, of which there are varying discounts depending on the size of the investment.

Ok, I guess I'm just disappointed there are no BTC securities worth investing in. You company is one of the very few who run a legitimate business.
Anyway best of luck to you and your company!
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][NEC] Neocoin, an innovative coin (not a copy paste coin) on: June 06, 2014, 07:22:25 PM
Anyone know why you cannot deposit NeoCoin on BTER?

thoughts about implementing Darkcoin (DRK) ?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Darkcoin is on our radar. We are monitoring its progress.

Anyone else here is interested in sports betting with Darkcoin ?

I have a suggestion, why not start a poll for the next coin to be implemented?
I personally don't use alt coins to bet but if you really want to know what your customers think you should have a poll on this.
328  Economy / Securities / Re: [Crypto-Trade] Agrícola y Comercial Galt’s Gulch SpA, Galt's Gulch Organics on: June 06, 2014, 07:08:17 PM
The email mentioned that us small timers can buy into the company via a group buy.
I would gladly reinvest my BTC into a group buy.

I don't know how much cash we need to come up with. Email said something about 67K USD.
How much is the smallest lot you have?

Is anyone else interested in this? I don't think I'm qualified enough to start/run a GB so if a hero member would like to step up that'd be great!

329  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] CoiningSolutions.com HashFast Shares ฿2.5 = 20GH/s [CLOSED] on: June 06, 2014, 04:57:41 PM
So basically we are losing everything here. So this has been a total scam as far as I'm concerned. Everyone running this was against taking the refund when it got offered. Now I want to wonder why, did they just assume Hashfast would fuck up and scam people? I don't care what the story is, I wanted refund they did not do it, they all should be down as scammers as much as hashfast.

Look pal how many people do you think actually got their refund? I bet they stopped paying out refunds pretty quick.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should Dogecoin Inflation be? on: June 01, 2014, 10:50:52 PM
Inflation might be the death of Dogecoin. The developers really show how clueless they are about economics when they chose massive inflation over a standard set by BTC. (no inflation after x years)
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Digital Ocean Monero Pool Mining Guide! CPU only! [MRO] Cryptonight Algo! on: May 27, 2014, 02:28:20 PM
Pools are working fine and now with stratum too.

Added some codes for digital ocean bonus.

I will add more pools soon...

Stratum gives performance boost according to the pool I use. Maybe you should edit the OP and change the command line?
332  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – Best LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. No Accounts. Instant Payouts. on: May 27, 2014, 02:14:55 PM
I have a question for you :

Which other coins would you like to bet with ?

We currently accept Bitcoins, Litecoins and Dogecoins.

litecons, Dogecoins is not worth it.

Agree, all alt coins are shit coins to me. They don't offer anything new over BTC IMO.
There might be some small differences but they are too small for me to care about.
With that said I believe in a free market and welcome any competition to BTC.
I have mined and used several alt coins but I only believe BTC one day might be an alternative to the dollar.

I think you should add Monero. One of the few alt coins that add anything. (privacy)

I personally don't bet with any other currency than Bitcoin on your site. But I don't see any thing bad about adding more currencies.
It might be more administration for you but other than that it will only help your site to be more popular.

That's great news!
Finally we are getting somewhere with this.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help in setting up Raspberry Pi with my Scrypt ASICs on: May 23, 2014, 07:08:17 PM
I have never had any issues with keyboard compatibility in Linux.
I just buy the cheapest one I can find.
335  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Avalon range available - Now $104.99! on: May 22, 2014, 07:13:35 AM
That's true but no PSU can take unlimited amps on the 5V rail. But I guess a quality PSU should shut down before a melt down happens.
336  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NOLACOIN.COM Is Back! 0.5,1, 3BTC Physical Coin LASER ENGRAVED - GLOBAL SHIPPING on: May 21, 2014, 07:47:23 PM
Your coin was featured in a segment about BTC on KCTV: http://www.kctv5.com/story/25568078/bitcoin-used-to-buy-500000-olathe-home

It really is a beautiful design. I can't wait for the silver coins. Hope the price isn't too steep though. Don't wanna pay more than 40% premium.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PSA: Add a Full Node for just $19/year! on: May 21, 2014, 07:13:20 PM
I used weloveservers' vps node and put a bitcoind on it.  The vps has went down a couple of times, weloveservers support mentioned that it is getting ddos'ed.  Did anyone experience similar issue?
I doubt people would ddos a bitcoin node, seeing there are tons of them, and there's little to gain from ddosing a single node. what probably happened was that your VPS provider was overselling its servers, and are using ddos as an excuse.

i sometimes get >100 connections at a time on one of these servers.  could that many simultaneous connections look like a ddos itself to an admin?

I highly doubt 100 connections would count as a DDOS. Isn't a VPS main function to host a service that people actually can use.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Digital Ocean Monero Pool Mining Guide! CPU only! [MRO] Cryptonight Algo! on: May 21, 2014, 12:15:22 PM
No i havent. Maybe i will try tomorrow. What problem do you have with it?

I get "Illegal instruction" after generating a wallet.
If you do get any wallet to work on Linux I would be very glad if you explained how...  Grin

I'm not sure Ray Gallo is gonna get a dime out of HashFast anyway.
I'm just glad I didn't get more than 1 share + MPP.
340  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Avalon range available - Now $104.99! on: May 21, 2014, 12:06:51 PM
specking your power supply is very important as i found out, since i fried my 800W as i was pulling ay to many amps on the 5V rail. melting smoke aint funny. as a rule of thumb always asume psu are only 80% efficient. so with a 550W dont go above 440W and obviously pay not on the amp rating of the psu as 550W not the whole power supply but more likely 470W only for the 12V rail.
RIP odin....

I guess you friend used alot of Molex to PCI-E converters right?
