Hi guys, what's a easy way to swap some USDT from ERC20 to BEP20? Have some in my metamask and want to buy some bep20 tokens. Only thing I found was the binance bridge option but has a min of $130 and I have a little under that. Thanks in advance !
To transfer assets from one network to another you are to use bridges. Personally I transfer from ERC20 to BEP20 and vice versa on https://bridge.evodefi.com/?token=USDC. The minimum here is only 50$, so I hope it will be suitable for you. Be very careful when it comes to different blockchains as if you send tokens that are not support by this chain, you will lose them. The OP asked about swapping USDT (Tether) and not USDC, so the correct link should be like this: https://bridge.evodefi.com/?token=USDT
As far as I know, this is the most popular bridge between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain: https://anyswap.exchange/bridge#/routerThe minimum swap amount is 12 USDT. You need to connect to the website via Metamask.
I also know the following cross-chain bridge that can be used to convert ERC20 tokens to BEP20 tokens: https://bridge.orbitchain.io/The swap fee is 0.1%.
I found yet another multi-chain bridge: https://o3swap.com/swapIts developers warn about the beta version, so swap tokens at your own risk.

In 2020, Estonia's Financial Intelligence Unit also conducted a massive license revocation operation due to the burden of monitoring compliance. It's good to see that the Financial Intelligence Unit regularly withdraws crypto licenses from untrustworthy companies. I am familiar with the " MODERNITYPARTY" company which is currently registered in Estonia and is incorporated as "UTRUST". A year ago, its team suddenly decided to swap their tokens. In short, they sent a large amount of new tokens directly to the Etherdelta smart contract and actually burned my tokens. As a result, I lost about 8000 USD at the current price. I contacted the official Customer Success Manager via Telegram, provided him the transaction hash, but in the end he just fell silent. As far as I know, many people who traded on decentralized exchanges have also suffered extensive financial damage. I even created a Scam Accusation thread on the Bitcointalk forum. I personally would be glad to hear that the Estonian regulatory agency has revoked the crypto license that UTRUST obtained. I believe that other companies that commit fraud should also be shut down to protect people from impudent scammers hiding behind legal entities. Anyway, such companies usually operate with their native tokens, so the next wave of revocations is unlikely to significantly affect the BTC price.

I agree that holding good quality altcoins is going to give you much more profits than if you traded them short term. But this does NOT mean that you will be able to make money holding every single altcoin - look at Peercoin, LBRY credits, etc. who were all deemed to be good projects in the past and are now worthless.
Maybe the OP hints at the possibility of reviving dead coins. Imagine that one day some wealthy trader starts to massively buy some worthless altcoin on cryptocurrency exchanges. As in a dream, people will sell him this altcoin long abandoned by its team. I think there are no more such traders after many supposedly promising projects conducted ICO campaigns and defrauded investors in 2017.
By the way, the title of the thread looks a little misguiding. According to the CoinGecko listing, the current number of alternative cryptocurrencies is 9738. I don't know what altcoin the OP is talking about, but I'm almost sure the best coin to hold long-term is Bitcoin. Therefore, I disagree with the OP. No one sane will pump a random altcoin.

an example for what is coming is Bitstamp. Bitstamp for the most active account ask to prove where you get or buy those bitcoins that you trade there. This is not a simple KYC but a heavy barrier to use this exchange especially for ppl that holds a great ammount of bitcoin and they get them from differnt sources.
This is commonly referred to as the AML policy which was implemented by many trusted cryptocurrency exchanges and lending platforms several years ago. My guess is that this new wave of heavy regulations is caused by recent successful attacks carried out by software that encrypts data or performs other malicious activities. Some of these ransomware apps demand sending coins to a specific BTC address. I even heard that a few months ago, a large company in Mexico was forced to pay unknown hackers in Bitcoin to unblock access to their servers. It looks like the government now wants to track these coins, probe deep into transactions and determine who will cash out the " dirty" bitcoins. I hope that the legislators will not impose too strict and severe regulations that will kill the entire cryptocurrency market.

I think it is because BSC is backed by top exchange Binance. But based from my experience, Tron network has actually cheaper transaction fees. Just compare the USDT-TRC20 and USDT-BSC, the TRC20 network has cheaper fees.
Both of these networks have low transaction fees compared to Ethereum which is currently the king of DeFi and NFT in the global marketplace. Perhaps the TRON blockchain has transfer commissions that go to zero, but I think most people do not worried about such a small amount of coins. Anyway, it depends on the need of the user. Some platforms will support TRC20 tokens, whereas, others won't. And now, with the popularity of BSC, a lot are already adding this chain to their options.
Of course, cryptocurrency exchanges strive to satisfy the financial desires of their customers just as the demand arises the supply. TRON is a relatively old coin that was launched in the end of 2017, so this network has long been rolled out to many exchanges.
I personally prefer Binance Smart Chain over TRON because I quite often use the Metamask extension installed in my Firefox browser that is much more convenient for me than TronLink. I clearly understand the cryptographic algorithms behind Ethereum based coins. Moreover, the BNB price is growing much faster than TRX, so I vote for BSC.

what is our respective intake towards this developments.
My intakes are as follows. Obviously, on October 9, 2021, some whales focused on Bitcoin and purchased a lot of BTC coins. Oddly enough, they didn't use the OTC markets for these big financial deals. I can humbly make an assumption that this outstanding surge of the Bitcoin price on cryptocurrency exchanges is driven by the recent news of the MtGox centralized exchange which is going into bankruptcy since 2014. As far as I understand, the recent vote has failed, so the rehabilitation plan was finally rejected on October 8, 2021. This means that at best, customers will be reimbursed as little as 485 USD per BTC. Perhaps those whales realized that bailiffs in Japan would not dump all 600 thousand bitcoins in the foreseeable future, so they decided to urgently invest in Bitcoin while its price is not so high.

I have updated the table and chart on the front page of this thread. Since the day the enhanced restrictions and requirements for newbies were introduced on the forum, 4,731 members have supported 18,083 newcomers. I also published statistics for October and September 2021. Ratimov is the leader of this TOP-200 in both months. It looks like he will soon gain first place on the main list.
Both Bitcoin and Bitcointalk can't grow without new users!
These are golden words. I daresay Bitcointalk is the best place to discuss Bitcoin. Smart and intelligent newcomers should always be welcomed into the community.
I sometimes call myself a legend, but I haven't become one officially. Let alone a legendary... This is a feature of Coin-1's statistics; I have also been in Legendary status for a long time. He, apparently, forms statuses not in fact, but according to the number of merits earned. Ratimov is right. Since user activity is a volatile characteristic that may even diminish due to the deletion of posts, I added the following note when creating this thread in September 2018: [1] - the rank that is based on the merit amount regardless of current activity
So if i give a merit to a newbie who have already one merit, giving him merit won't be counted to be eligible to be in the part of this list ? He or she should have 0 merits Yes. You must be the user who will send the newbie his first merit, this will be your help for the newbie. The newbie you want to help must have 0 merit. Ratimov is right again. This algorithm takes in consideration only the first merit received by the newbie. It ignores other merits.

In fact, when there are bad news for the market it shows how volatile bitcoin is and dropping as quick as it can. And that's very usual for bitcoin because it's the true nature of it. By being volatile, you get to have the profitability on it and despite it's high risk and we knew it, we're still holding it because it's very rewarding.
Indeed. Moreover, " bad news" often arrive exactly from regulatory bodies of different countries. The Bitcoin ban or extremely high taxes suddenly imposed on trading activities usually have a negative impact on the BTC price. But fortunately, these hostile actions are not so perceptible on an international scale.
The regulation of cryptocurrency in various countries is becoming more and more stringent.Regulatory clarity will slow down Bitcoin's volatility
Absolutely not. Unlike the national stock market, the global cryptocurrency market is not regulated and not backed by one country or government. They cannot stop trading at any time and turn off the switch even if the price of the coin is quickly halved (or doubled). This market has always been volatile and will be manipulated in the future, but there are already many independent players here.

It seems that Bitmain temporarily stopped sales due to the China ban, according to the blog they were suppose to resume in Sept but didn’t.
So unless someone exports them somehow out of China seems you can’t buy them directly anymore.
It seems that the recent ban of cryptocurrencies in China may soon destroy the ASIC manufacturing industry due to their strictly specialized purpose. I can not imagine how the Bitmain company will continue its business in the foreseeable future.
Just wondering what are some safe websites that aren't scams for buying ASIC miners. Also would help if anyone knows a good machine to buy?
You now have less opportunities to buy an ASIC than it was before. You were better to buy it from Bitmain about a month ago. So there is almost no safe place to buy a miner. Anyway, you can go across market aggregators and try to find a bid posted by an individual seller. Since China's citizens are currently not allowed to legally mine coins, they are likely to sell and ship you their computing equipment at a reasonable price. In any case, I advice you to use the escrow service provided, for example, by any trusted user from the Bitcointalk forum.

The era of traditional money transfers is coming to an end and this business, if it does not disappear completely, will significantly reduce its influence in the world. Other countries will follow in the wake of El Salvador, and millions of new users will join the ecosystem. What do you think about this?
I think it's too early to talk about the end of traditional money transfer processors like VISA, Western Union, etc. Bitcoin was born 12 years ago and has definitely had a significant influence upon this economic industry. It is undeniable that over the past years most of the traditional payment systems have made less profit than expected, so they enlisted the aid of national governments and began to compete with cryptocurrencies. From my understanding, El Salvador's banks provide poor quality services and therefore have low user ratings. Bitcoin has a highly developed infrastructure, so this country decided to use it to its full potential. In any case, they have not given up on fiat money, because it makes more sense to take advantage of the certain payment processor that is suitable for the task at hand. I assume that cryptocurrencies and traditional payment systems will exist at the same time and will complement each other.

-snip- especially with the trend of many wallets to use mBTC instead of BTC.
That will be the main consideration. Since bitcoin has other names for smaller units (mBTC, uBTC, sat), there will be other suggestions to create symbols for other units. Too many symbols will only confuse the user. I think there is no need to create a separate symbol for the smallest unit of the BTC coin. The international community should be able to write the sent amount in the Latin alphabet which is common for each keyboard and smartphone at present. I am completely satisfied with abbreviations such as "mBTC" (0.001 BTC or 100000 sat), "uBTC" (0.000001 BTC or 100 sat) and "sat". I know that in 2009 Satoshi Nakamoto personally designed the first logo for the Bitcoin client v0.1.0. He illustrated a golden circle with the letters "BC" and then embedded this ICO image to the EXE file. I heard that Satoshi did not name for the smallest division of a coin, but the community began to widely use the name "satoshi" after he disappeared in 2010. Although I admit that most people own only a part of BTC coin and more often transfer mBTCs.

but I ask help to their team and they return my coin back to my wallet, but I don't know with USDT and I think that stable coin and we don't know they have team or not.
You mean the team has control over the smart contract or the address? It is quite dangerous if the team can simply execute a call to move tokens from one address to another. Even if OP can contact Tether, I doubt they'll help for such a "small" amount of money. I just looked into the source code for the BUSD-T smart contract that was submitted for verification at Bscscan: https://bscscan.com/address/0x55d398326f99059ff775485246999027b3197955#codeThis smart contract is quite generic just like other similar stablecoins. I also doubt the team is technically capable to execute a call to move arbitrary tokens between addresses.
Due to negligence, I transferred my funds to the tether (usdt) contract. Can I get my money back? Has anyone had a similar situation as me?
@OP, I am sorry for you loss. 385 BSC-USD is a significant amount of money. Next time, do not be sloppy. And welcome to the cryptocurrency world with irreversible transactions.

Cryptocurrency capitalization is usually estimated in US dollars, not BTC. So the large-cap alts have not lost their value, but it was Bitcoin that soared to $55555 about two days ago.
I am genuinely curious about this selective pumping in the cryptocurrency market. Perhaps the true reasons are still behind a curtain and will be revealed in the coming days or weeks. I heard that the developers are planning to implement the Taproot improvement on the Bitcoin blockchain in December 2021, which is why the whales started accumulating BTC coins. Or because hydrocarbon prices have peaked in traditional commodity markets, so more expensive electricity will impact the self-cost of mining PoW-based bitcoins in the future.
I agree that Bitcoin looks much better than altcoins today.

As far as I understand, the Arbitrum network does not have a native coin, so it looks like an L2 scaling technology for Ethereum. Its main advantage is that the Uniswap decentralized exchange supports this solution, so traders can use different farming and harvesting protocols and pay low transaction fees. On the other hand, the downside is that people can not invest in Arbitrum as a promising cryptocurrency. Polygon seems to me the better solution for scaling and acting as a bridge, although I admit that in general, PoS networks are too centralized. In fact, Polygon has a native coin, so I want to buy some MATIC as a middle-term investment.
Increasing Min Gas Price to 30Gwei
Even now, asset transfers on the Polygon network are very cheap.

I am in contact with regulatory bodies of Estonia regarding the issue. Also I might visit Estonia soon and contact Police. Do you think I need to contact Estonian, Swiss or Portuguese Police or all? I might also need an Estonian lawyer or a law firm soon, so if anybody knows any reputable one, please let me know.
I just googled and found a decent list of lawyers in Estonia: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/estonia-list-of-lawyers/list-of-lawyers-in-estoniaSince the UTRUST (MODERNITYPARTY OÜ) company is currently registered in Talinn, I have selected three law firms whose office is located in the same city: 1) Advokaadibüroo Hedman Partners & Co OÜ https://hedman.legalAddress: Rotermanni 8, 10111 Tallinn Phone: (+372) 6645250 Email: info@hedman.legal2) Advokaadibüroo HEED Entsik https://www.heedentsik.eeAddress: Fr. R. Kreutzwaldi 3, Tallinn Phone: (+372) 6164660 Email: info@heedentsik.ee3) Advokaadibüroo Concordia OÜ https://www.concordia.eehttps://www.linkedin.com/company/concordia-attorneys-at-lawhttps://www.facebook.com/CONCORDIAattorneysatlawAddress: Maakri 29, Tallinn 10145 Phone: (+372) 6262062 Email: law@concordia.ee
Would you guys send me in a private message a description of the situation in a quite well understandable English that I could give to Police and regulatory bodies? I want to compile my and your version to let them understand the situation. We don't want to loose our chance by using a messy communication.
First, you can give to Police the links to your Ethereum transactions as proof of the UTK token purchase before the snapshot of all ETH addresses was taken on September 29, 2020 at 16:00 (London time). Second, you can provide a link to the "Multisender.app" transaction in which the UTRUST team directly sends about 341K new UTK tokens to the Etherdelta smart contract and thus effectively burns those tokens with the malicious purpose of reducing the supply on cryptocurrency exchanges. Third, you can mention that you tried to resolve the issue peacefully, but the UTRUST company has bluntly refused to reimburse you and did not send new UTK tokens to your ETH address.
From my perspective, what UTRUST is doing is not fair. If I were them, I will try to resolve that issue at least in that way:
1. Acknowledge that tokens that were sent to EtherDelta are technically inaccessible forever so effectively burned. 2. At one stage in the future, they will burn tokens, so they could reimburse us with new tokens, but they can also account those tokens as burned.
In my opinion, such an event is unlikely to happen. The UTRUST team doesn't appear to be capable of negotiations, so you need to hire a lawyer to prosecute this company. I found the general information about the "MODERNITYPARTY OÜ" legal entity: https://ariregister.rik.ee/eng/company/14831182/As I can see, the first director's name is Roberto Manuel Dias Machado. I googled again and found some additional public information about him: https://www.inforegister.ee/en/1475957-IDHe is currently the Board Member of two companies in Estonia: 1) MODERNITYPARTY OÜ (which is incorporated and called as UTRUST) 2) LEVIATHAN SOFTWARE OÜ His phone: (+351) 916748994 His email: rmdmachado@gmail.comThe second director's name is Daniel Raissar. https://www.inforegister.ee/en/1026200-IDHe is currently the Board Member of four companies in Estonia: 1) MODERNITYPARTY OÜ (which is incorporated and called as UTRUST) 2) OUBITANDO OÜ 3) BLOCKRHINO OÜ 4) ELECTRIFY GROUP OÜ His email: daniel.raissar@gmail.comI guess that Roberto Manuel Dias Machado and Daniel Raissar are the citizens of Portugal. You can directly contact them to try to resolve the issue in advance.
By the way, a week ago there was the first anniversary of the great UTK scam. Sad to those who lost their funds due to the fraudulent actions of the UTRUST team.
