For the immediate term (1-3 years)

Get a fulfilling career in a good country. So that I can move there with my girlfriend and start a family.

Later on accumulate some money and use it to secure our future financially.

Once financially secured, I'll work on projects to help out the society.

323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: November 20, 2017, 05:37:55 PM
In the short-term (5-10 years) probably not.

In the next 100 years - probably.

As the human civilization advances, I think it is imperative to change our way of exchanging value to more efficient systems which are more equitable and includes every people in the world.
Cash is hard to use sometimes and creates a lot of delays. Hopefully, with cryptos, we can transition to a more efficient system and one that is not run by crooked bankers.

325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins will reach $1000+ in the future? on: November 20, 2017, 05:26:12 PM
NEO has every chance of exceeding 1000$.
If such a huge crypto-currency market, as China monopolizes the release of IСO through NEO.
Add to this the pressure of China on neighboring countries, with a view to transfer platforms of developers from ETHER to NEO.
+ State support, both financial and legal.

I think having a single country monopolize a crypto asset is not that applicable anymore. Cryptos have gone worldwide and traditional thinking that China using NEO as platform will make it dominate the ICO scene.
I do think NEO have good potential, but not that it will replace Ethereum in the ICO space/development space.
326  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin=easy money on: November 20, 2017, 05:21:33 PM
Bitcoin is not an easy money anymore. It is just incrementally increasing but the rate of return has diminished significantly.
I still remember it at 1K earlier this year. Just a x8 increase compared to other ICOs with x10 - x100 returns.

It is currently just being used as a means of exchange and storage of value.
327  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best movies you have watched in 2017? on: November 20, 2017, 05:18:57 PM
Bad Genius.

It is a Thai movie. Pretty entertaining and relatable for students.

Enjoy watching Grin
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: November 20, 2017, 05:07:10 PM
It is not always safe. Due diligence on your part must be practiced to reduce the risk (cryptos are very risky by nature).
Even the overly hyped ICOs are not immune to drama and sometimes fail.

I follow this steps when checking ICOs.

1. Roadmap + Whitepaper
2. Problem that it solves? - Is it useful?
3. Team - not really that important to me sometimes
4. Ratings - look into sites like ICObench or other similar sites
5 Search in youtube some reviews.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how can bitcoin survive with 26 USD transaction cost? on: November 20, 2017, 05:03:22 PM
I don't know what wallet you're using, but unless you're sending a very large transaction, its fee estimation is terrible.

Paying less than $1 in BTC equivalent would quite comfortably get your transaction confirmed at current rates.

If you want lower fees than that, feel free to receive coins to a SegWit-compatible wallet in future.  It helps to lower your fees further, and potentially the fees for other people too.

Hopefully SegWit compatible wallets will be implemented soon.
The transaction fees are really becoming atrocious.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: November 20, 2017, 05:00:55 PM
Bitcoin is better in some aspects against gold.

1. Not hard to store as gold.
2. Easy to exchange.

It is expected that bitcoin should replace gold as storage of value in the long run.

334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Astronaut (ASTRO) Token Sale. One Token To Rule Them All. on: November 17, 2017, 06:31:37 PM
Hi can someone help me how to find my tokens? I added the ASTRO in my etherwallet it didn't show anything. I checked on etherscan it showed ASTRO coins went into different address. I remembered when purchasing ICO ASTRO there was some portal to login to get the coins.

It would be much appreciated if anyone who had the same problems and found the solution.

Cheers

You should withdraw it first in orderbook.io and move it to your MEW wallet.
Should be plenty of time before the dividends are distributed.

P.S. There is a 2 ASTRO fee for moving the tokens so don't be surprised.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your promising ICO on: November 17, 2017, 04:51:09 PM
Currently thinking of:

1. CommerceBlock - have existing product, great team

https://icobench.com/ico/commerceblock

2. GoNetwork - same as CB

https://icodrops.com/gonetwork/

Will look into Wabi as suggested by others.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Genesis Vision - Decentralized platform for the trust management on: November 17, 2017, 04:47:25 PM
Genesis Vision - GVT now listed on:

Binance
EtherDelta
KuCoin
HitBTC

Gate.io

THATS NOW 5 EXCHANGES IN 2 DAYS!

Talks in negotiations with much larger exchanges than all of the above combined^

Great job to the team. Volume is up 2MM now. Looking forward to $5 - $10 value before end of month.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTX ROCKET ready to FLY To the moon or what ? on: November 16, 2017, 03:59:05 PM
I have been following this coin since it was just $5 (which was last 2 weeks ago). Regretting not investing even a small portion of my portfolio on it.

Seems they have a good place in the market as they can be used to transfer value in a very fast way. Might be the same as bitcoin cash but no mining required.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - new virtual fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: November 13, 2017, 11:26:10 PM
if circulating supply is 11,419,386 BTX, at say... 15 usd/btx... 165.000.000 usd market cap.. we would be #30 in CMC ranking

go BTX, go!

I think they only count the circulating supply, which is currently 16M.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Multicurrency Wallet??? on: November 13, 2017, 11:11:59 PM
Any thoughts around using Coinomi?

Seems a fairly new wallet.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: UCoin Cash - is this a good ICO or a scam? on: November 13, 2017, 01:04:48 PM
Never invest more than you can lose I put small amount like 50$ max 100$ no more !!! its high risk like all new ICO programs

Might put in $100 just to see if it checks out.
Bitconnect had been very successful so copycats are sure to copy their strategy.
Even just 10x return is good I guess.
