321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness is the biggest influence. on: December 05, 2017, 05:44:05 AM
For now, BTC is such h huge digital currency, that it needs no sort of introduction because it is known to millions of people throughout the world and the centralization of bitcoin by the government could be the biggest awareness for the cryptocurrency. Other methods by which we can create awareness among people is by organising debates, campaign, printing pamphlets, hoardings and introduction of cryptocurrency to the youth could prove the great awareness for BTC because youth and cyrptos, both are asset for the planet.

Yes! I agree with this Smiley
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Awareness is the biggest influence. on: December 04, 2017, 01:09:06 PM
So we all know BTC drops when people sell their coins... but the peaking is purely because of investments...

The mall in S.Korea that started accepting BTC as of this month played a massive roll in BTC's growth. Obviously this is because BTC's awareness is growing!

Surely there are ways to bring the awareness of cryto to the population.

Are there any other 'blow ups' of crypto that you have heard of? Similar to the mall...
What are you doing to spread the awareness? Smiley

I wish I could send a message to old me, 3 years ago. I had too much money to blow and I new about bitcoin... I only invested this year...

325  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2017-11-30] Bitcoin lost $2,000 in a single day, but that’s okay – right? on: November 30, 2017, 10:34:31 AM

Quote
Bitcoin made cryptocurrency enthusiasts’ heads spin this week when its value first crossed $10,000 two days ago, and then surged past $11,000. But it also alarmingly dropped by more than $2,000 within a few short hours of crossing that milestone.

Perhaps you don’t really need to worry. Bitcoin looks to be hovering around $10,370 – up from its low of $9,749, as per Coindesk. I’ll be honest, I’m terribly risk-averse, so this roller-coaster ride makes me uneasy – but I understand that this is par for the course for folks entrenched in the crypto scene. Everything will be okay. I think.

More on this here...

People who are new to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency may find any big crash to be disturbing but not to people who have been on the Bitcoin scene even for months. The roller coaster up and down is part and parcel of the Bitcoin experience as its volatility is quite high and can even be the reason why we have many happy speculators just sitting down and watching Bitcoin go up and up. These speculators are not anymore afraid of regular corrections to Bitcoin's price.

Yes, everything will just be okay and in fact Bitcoin is now stabilizing at around $10,500 which is not really bad after going through its biggest bull run ever. Will it make some surges again? That would be exciting to watch as it can be already showing some fatigue for now...maybe it needs some rest some relaxation for more actions ahead.

Dips should not be feared but welcomed... it allows for more people to invest!
326  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-29] Elon Musk addressees the rumors - I Am Not Bitcoin Inventor Satoshi on: November 29, 2017, 01:09:17 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto identity debate seems always to be a never-ending one. A few days ago, SpaceX intern blogged that Elon Musk is most probably the real bitcoin founder, Satoshi. However, Musk clarified that he was not the creator of Bitcoin.

this is pretty funny...
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving. on: November 29, 2017, 12:39:59 PM
How about only earning Bitcoin and not using them?
I think the price of Bitcoin will gain much more value.
So if we keep it as our asset we will be much rich in the future...hehe...whats your opinion about this?

This would be the safest and easiest way to make sure you never make a loss... that's if you can keep holding of course...
328  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-27] South Korea’s Largest Underground Mall Adds Bitcoin Payments on: November 28, 2017, 08:27:53 AM
The largest underground shopping mall in South Korea, Goto Mall, has partnered with a local cryptocurrency exchange to enable its 620 stores to accept bitcoin. Spanning 880 meters long, about half a million people walk through the mall each day.

Goto Mall is also known as Gangnam Terminal Underground Shopping Center. It is connected to one of the major subway transfer stations at which Seoul subway lines 3, 7, and 9 operate. It “currently has an estimated 500,000 visitors per day and is rated as the largest underground shopping mall,” Kyeonggi news outlet reported.

The mall’s foot traffic is expected to increase significantly due to its surrounding area being renovated to increase customer base. For example, “when the reconstruction of the nearby apartment complex is completed, the [number of] visitors is expected to increase further,” the publication added.

Furthermore, “about 30 bus routes including ordinary buses and airport buses,” pass through the area, reported the Bridge Economy newspaper. “When the new influential World Duty-Free opens in Gangnam Central City next year, it is expected to further increase foreign customers,” the publication elaborated, adding that:

"Goto Mall is expected to turn into a bitcoin mecca."

I think people are underestimating how much BTC is going to spike due to influences like this...
329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Staying on track with BTC prices on: November 28, 2017, 08:16:22 AM
Do you guys check prices of crypto's daily? I'm finding it so stressful to predict and watch prices shoot up and down.

Of course not, why would you ever do that? Well if you want to day trade, then you need to be looking at charts all day during your trades, but if you are not doing that, then there is no reason to look at it's price so often. Bitcoin and crypto in general are so volatile, that looking at it's price over and over again, is way to stressful. I do check them with some regularity, to see if we got new all time highs, but I perfectly conformable with it's price drops as well, so I only do it out of curiosity, and it doesn't stress me.

I think it's important to be on the ball in regards to BTC prices. I went away for 2 days and it's nearly at $10k... If you don't follow the dips and peaks it's gonna be pretty hard to invest or pull out
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash beat BTC? on: November 23, 2017, 09:54:13 AM
I think once BTC is more popular and BCH comes into the same awareness, people may use both as the transfer fees and stuff for BTC are ridiculous... imagine trying to pay for coffee with BTC! You would be charged almost $4...

BCH has minimal transfer fees. I think people may use bitcoin as an investment and use BCH as a way to spend cash their crypto cash in the real world.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DASH - Privacy on: November 23, 2017, 09:41:24 AM
DASH - Digital anonymous cash. It is doing really well on the market right now at +$500... If you really hate the Government, I would invest Wink

Your thoughts?
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin has role to play in the future? on: November 22, 2017, 10:29:09 AM
Yeah, I think that crypto will take over everyone's money... everyone will take care of their own money. BTC also doesn't totally screw you over like banks, so I think everyone will move over once BTC comes into awareness as less than 5% of Earth becomes aware.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no role in real world on: November 22, 2017, 09:47:36 AM
Perhaps BTC has no use in the physical world because it is an INVESTMENT, where as something like BCH may become the new way of holding a check account. I think decentralization is the most fundamental thing to evolve our economy. The banks have taken advantage for hundreds of years but it's time for them to step down.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why is BCH not King? on: November 22, 2017, 09:35:27 AM
Why do you guys think we didn't move to BCH from BTC? Even though the segwitx2 was cancelled, BCH still seems to be Bitcoin 2.0
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wages being paid in crypto on: November 21, 2017, 08:26:32 AM
Personally, I would love this. It would be amazing if an employer gave the option to pay wages in crypto currencies, of the employee's choice. Tax could be deducted before the payment, and it would almost eradicate the need for banks. However, there is that possible risk of the crypto crashing.

Is there a foolproof way to be paid in crypto?

As of now I think I would not advise this just because of the volatility of the cryptocurrency and bitcoin in extension. There area lot of problems going in and yes bitcoin have sirvived a lot but workers or employees should not be a part of that if it can be helped

I guess it will depend on the employers stance on BTC's success and survival chances.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries Banning Crypto Currencies on: November 21, 2017, 08:06:02 AM
Are you sure bangladesh has banned it?im from there i havenot heard anything about it.
All what i have heared that Bangladesh has not banned the bitcoin yet, the central bank of Bangladesh has issued a notice in order to warn the people to stop buying and selling bitcoin and also they have added that as it is not the national currency of any country so it should be avoided and if someone found guilty of transaction in bitcoin would be prisoned but all what they doing is due to the fact that bitcoin is giving them a hard competition and people are favoring bitcoin more for investment than banks.

This makes me so upset! Their government and banks know there is trouble for them in the future. Banning it won't change that!
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Spotlight on: November 21, 2017, 07:43:50 AM
I read a report that said only 1% of Humans know about crypto currencies. To be honest, I doubt this is true. I think a lot of people are becoming aware, and another report said 80% of Japan already know's about it's existence.

A question which often ticks around in my brain is "WHY have the world leaders not spoken of crypto's yet?"

I would assume that if they saw it as a problem, they would say so, and if they saw it as the future of currencies, they would say so too - just like the multi-million/billionaires.

It could be planned to not give attention to crypto's too, which seems likely since these people basically work for the federal reserve.

I think once presidents/rulers with modern age thinking come to power, there will be a great awareness for btc and other crypto's!

What about you guys? Have you been hearing people speak of crypto's in your daily lives?
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: November 21, 2017, 07:32:11 AM
All too late if you have not started yet, but surrender, nothing is too late even if you are old. Learn until you die, then you will know how vast the world is.

I wish most elderly agreed with you Cry
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not have limited supply on: November 20, 2017, 10:04:18 AM
The argument is again and again that the value of Bitcoin will increase because supply is limited to 21 million. But this is quite simply wrong. Every time Bitcoin is forked that is in real terms an expansion of the Bitcoin currency beyond 21 million. To some degree the same is true of alternative crypto currencies which will flood the market. There is already more than 1000 cryptocurrencues ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptocurrencies )

Th forking (or absence of it) does not effect Bitcoin's supply. At best, you can consider it as a "gift" to all bitcoin holders, which will increase the overall worth. It in no way impacts the overall supply of 21 Mn, which is set in stone.

That is precisely my point. I create "Bitcoin2" by forking. Then I create "Bitcoin3" and so on and so on. In reality what I am doing is issuing more Bitcoin. That I call it a different name does not change the reality.

BTC is not the same currency as BCH or Bitcoin Gold... they are derived from BTC. BTC has a limit of 21m. BCH and BCG have their own limits
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries Banning Crypto Currencies on: November 20, 2017, 09:27:44 AM
Unfortunately, many counties have banned and will be banning the use of crypto currency.

So far, these countries have banned crypto:
Vietnam
Bolivia
Ecuador
Kyrgyzstan
Bangladesh
Nepal

These countries however do not have a major influence on crypto as they are third world countries and most investors/influences come from the West/China.

Do you guys think as it becomes more of a reality that crypto is the future of currencies, more countries will ban the use due to fear of losing control? Do you think as it becomes the normal form of currency, these countries will lift the ban?

What do you think?
Yes it’s true that many countries banned crypto and I think bitcoin also face such an incident but its also fact that bitcoin is not like other crypto because only two countries have banned bitcoin and the rest of every countries have accepted bitcoin and some of them make it legal so I think bitcoin is reliable safe and sound and acceptable to world.

Are you saying some countries have banned alt coins and not BTC?
