Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth?

80% of the growth of Bitcoin is because of social media. Social media has a great influence in Bitcoin's popularity and progress. Most of the people knew about Bitcoin because of the influence and impact of facebook, instagram, twitter and other platforms.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government put on tax on bitcoin on: December 26, 2017, 09:01:26 AM
If the goverment put tax to bitcoin transaction, what will the consequences?

The profit will decrease and attraction also decrease in my opinion. How about yours
If the government put taxe on Bitcoin, then there will be some adjustments to happen. The transaction fee will increase and as you said lesser profit. Likewise, people in the Bitcoin world will protest for a short period of time but they will eventually accept it. But bitcoiners I think wont decrease if the tax is just minimal.

324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: December 26, 2017, 01:41:07 AM
Bounty or Airdrop? what is the most easiest way to earn tokens?
If you are after for the sure tokens, go for bounty. Bounty has a lot of offerings and opportunities. You can join as many as you can except for the signature campaign. The only thing there is you have to wait for a couple of months before you can harvest your hardwork. For airdrop, there are only few and based on luck, so my suggestion, go for bounty.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming Millionaire from Altcoins? on: December 25, 2017, 03:17:15 AM
Hi Guys!
Do you think the successful story of BTC could happen once again?
With 8 year hodl or not.
Just being realistic and taking measurements from some prediction sites
like https://coincheckup.com/predictions the maxium of increase is 70x of worth.
But is that true ?
Could there be more growth? For example ETH and LTC
are way much better in their technologies, the marketcap is still growing and 2018 are the masses of investors coming too ...

What are your thoughts ?!

happy trading and merry xmas
Altcoins increases over the months. Their value becomes really high. Example, ETH, its increases 30x this year. I am positive that we would be millionaire in altcoins if we keep on working and have hardwork. ALTCOINS will keep on growing in the nect coming years.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Crypto on: December 25, 2017, 03:09:34 AM
Before investing in some altcoins i should do some research. I will: read the whitepaper, see if the developers are good(how experienced they are and searching them on linkedin), see if they site is good, whatch the graphs and see if the coin is growing, see if the coin have some good sponsor, understand why this coin is different from others. What else should i search before buying an altcoin?
That's a good start before buying altcoin. You must investigate and keep on reading about the particular altcoin you want to buy. In addition, i suggest to go over with the related reviews and other comments of the people involved in it. Then from that, you can gather many insights.

328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Private message spams on: December 24, 2017, 12:44:46 AM
Seems to be another way to spam.  Have received two private messages this week spamming.  This last one from a newbie "taistatizwrap".
Not only you who received spam messages. I also received several messages from newbies. I just ignore it and delete it. Maybe they are trying to use the PM button on their profile. But the best thing you can do is not to response them back, ignore or delete it.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: December 24, 2017, 12:38:05 AM
In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
You have a good hope for ethereum but personally, ethereum wont overtake bitcoin as the number one cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is a stand alone crypto, means it can exist even without other altcoins. Ethereum, you need to trade it in bitcoin to cash it out. So I think Bitcoin will remain its place in the cryto world.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: December 23, 2017, 05:59:37 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?
Im planning to continue my venture in bitcoin. When the time comes that I earn enough Bitcoin, I will put up my new business and probably to invest also into local stock market.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: Before I Die... on: December 23, 2017, 05:51:15 AM
I want to see every single bank - central, private, or public, moneylenders, etc. wiped off the face of the earth.

I want to see every person earning less than $2 a day (10% of the world, definitely more as hidden figures and ever falling fiat value) have food, clothing, and shelter.

I want to see human beings transact across borders without any fear or market manipulations.

I want to see every human being live the life of dignity, as a free, sovereign individual, who takes care of his own food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare.

"Satoshi is Cyber Buddha - he arrived on this planet to liberate us from the central banking hegemony of fiat currency - a never ending cycle of booms and busts. Bitcoin is Nirvana."

I will die, but I...

WE.

WILL.

LIVE.

ON.

THE.

BLOCKCHAIN.
I like your statement and agree on you. Most banks control the economy of the world. They leave the poor as poors because its their way of manipulating people. Thanks to Bitcoin, we have a freedom on our trading and investment.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoin Economics on: December 22, 2017, 02:22:05 AM
Future of Bitcoin Economics depends on mass adoption of Bitcoin. No body can predict accurately the true future of Bitcoin.
That's true. Considering the situation of bitcoin now, it is unstable. We cannot forsee what will happen in the next day. But as I see it, its gonna be for long term.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: December 22, 2017, 02:19:56 AM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
You better try the ETH. Its worth to buy and invest in. Its more reliable in the market now. Most people use it too.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2017, 02:16:15 AM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink
First thing to improve in bitcoin is the transaction time, the faster the better. Second, if you accidentally send BTC to wrong address, hope you can still retrieve it.
335  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: December 21, 2017, 11:23:38 AM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
I dont think bitcoin will replace dollar. Government always want some thing that they can control, and hold. Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone right one.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: December 21, 2017, 10:55:37 AM
Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.
Right now, no banks accept bitcoin. Banks accept physical money, and bitcoin is not. Banks aren't ready for cryptocurrency because they will lose. Its competition after all.
337  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: December 20, 2017, 05:09:39 AM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

Paper money is already a vital part of every country's economy and currency. It would be impossible to entirely banned it because, economically, paper money is way of balancing and checking the gross and net of one country's economy. Secondly, digital currency may exist but still need the assistance of paper money.
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC gone down today on: December 20, 2017, 03:52:06 AM
Seems on the markets at present time BTC has come down. your thoughts on this and why you think it happened?

Do you think it will go back up? if BTC goes down way lower would it be wise to buy more into it
Maybe bitcoin lacks of supply anymore because people who has bitcoin hold it until the price goes up. That's why bitcoin rises up so that people who hold bitcoin will sell them back. There maybe a shortage of bitcoin. And now, they have enough supply so bitcoin price goes down.
339  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 20, 2017, 03:41:08 AM

340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A founder of largest site Bitcoin "Declares" bitcoin Virtually Unusable on: December 20, 2017, 03:39:02 AM
Hello everyone , This News about the founders of a great bitcoin website in the world, Selling all bitcoin currencies and (Telling) investing in bitcoin currencies is a very high risk & currency is (Virtually Unusable), "and which I think, can happen because quoted from the high transaction costs now" ,hopefully the solution can be found ....  Grin , So ....What do you think about it ??

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/cofounder-of-one-of-the-worlds-largest-bitcoin-sites-has-sold-all-his-bitcoins-saying-the-currency-a3723576.html
I think that's a good strategy. It is a good publicity so that more and more bitcoiners will sell out their bitcoins into lower prices. They wont stop bitcoin because right now, its price is really high and developers will benefit from it.
