I 3.5xd some BTC I put into a fontas pump -- ha! It was back in the November/December time, don't remember exactly. But it was a TRC pump on BTCE that last literally 5 minutes. Went from .0004 --> .0018 in 2-3 minutes then immediately crashed. A lot of people got burned there I am sure. Risky business! I made over $6000 on that, it was pretty nice

I wonder why UpDown.bt wont BAN Ranlo after this ? It'll be highly unjustified if he takes action against any Member/Full Member in coming days and Ranlo remains free to roam around, just because he is a Sr. Member.
Why do you keep posting in bold? Why does it look like you created a gimmick account just to attack Ranlo? And why does it matter about 3 posts over 3 months that probably were posted before he was even on the signature campaign? I am not "licking anyones legs" But I would prefer that in this market we do not attack each other, and leave the policing to those that are running the signature campaigns! (ie updown.bt)

zipzap news is big. wonder when we'll actually see that in the states. (i know there is an estimate)
It is in the states. QVC up the street is affiliated, among others. Here comes the boom. i think he meant when bitcoin actually gets integrated into that it was not a boom for XRP when it happened tho

After I embraced my inner troll (thanks to Proudhon) a couple of days ago, it's really opened my eyes to the extent of misinformation everywhere. Even people in prestigous positions parrot the latest FUD without ever checking the original source.
misinformation is one thing. what i have noticed is that people very much overemphasize the importance of FUD. everyone gets their panties in a bunch about it without ever considering that news/FUD are not the only determining factors on price, and may not be important at all.

pure idiots can't tell they are idiots....
That I will agree on easily, seeing as you try to use coinbase for daytrading. However, you said something about "demand side" earlier, which daytraders don't contribute anything to as they cancel out their contribution. Coinbase buyers, on the other hand, do contribute a lot, and they don't really care whether coins arrive today or a week later, because they are not going to sell for a 80$ "profit". actually i have a feeling this is not true. coinbase is the easiest way for US people to buy coins -- i am confident that some of them will take these coins and try their hand at trading. that's the first thing i did as a newb. and it seems from trollbox talk that this is to some extent true (people also trade elsewhere and then cash out on coinbase)

it seems there is some conflation on this issue, often times, anyway short term/mid term effect on price is not the same as effect on utility and these are not the same and LOL and comparing the utility of the USD with BTC

has there been any meaningful analysis of huobi's reported volume vs. order books etc as was done with okcoin?

i agree, price must return to equity with a pizza for people to buy again. If it ever gets to that rate, I would happily buy all your bitcoins. And I would keep mining on, since difficulty would drop.

to say that the western exchanges are following huobi doesn't necessarily mean that huobi's volume is real.
