I'm looking at my referral list and I see 3 of them with recent commission of exactly 12 satoshis. Is it some bug or has anything changed? The minimum commision from 1 roll should be around 140 sats. It could be a commission from them playing dice, but seems very odd that 3 different players wagered the same amount and that none of them rolled for free btc.

i put all money into loterry to this week. we will see in 1 hour Wink

Good luck! What's your chance of winning?

Could you pm me your user id please?

So I won 29,500 from a random roll yesterday, but forgot to mention it here in the forums. Based on Kakmakr's logic, however, because I didn't post it here, I never won the amount until now that it's been posted here. Right?

Roll Eyes

Thanks for the win, wetsuit! Keep doing what you're doing!

Additionally, as much as I would love to invest in your website, I would advise against offering an investment option for the very same reasons that jaysbai has outlined earlier in this thread. Please don't do it; I love the integrity at which you've upheld for your site, even after the whole Google Adsense debacle. Please continue doing what you're doing!

Thank you. I also believe there might be another explanation for people not seemingly posting about their winnings. Just yesterday someone posted about winning $20 (in this thread or the one in the gambling section, I don't remember) and posted their referral link in that post too (as I suggest they do in the email I send winners) and as I was online then, I quoted their post and thanked them. After doing that, in about 15 minutes, their post and mine was deleted by a moderator for having a referral link. Many times I get notifications about people posting in the freebitco.in topics but when I check them, their posts are deleted. I probably need to change the email I send winners and offer them some kind of incentives for posting rather than asking them to post their referral links.

I do not plan to offer any kind of investments unless I can actually use the invested money to significantly increase the value of investments. It makes me quite sad to see people pour in millions of dollars into all these new ICO's/"cloud mining" services/ponzi's which clearly have a zero chance of ever making their money back.

This seems to be the only decent merge mining pool I have found. Is merge mining still disabled as mentioned in the 1st post?

hey so previously i read that it says something like the advertise will be remove soon? Will it be remain right now?

Thanks

I am travelling right now and will start phasing it out in the next few days. I'll post a message on the website for a week before this happens so people will have time to create their last ads before it is removed.
326  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: October 22, 2016, 10:55:59 PM
The advertising option will be phased out in the coming weeks. People were losing money by investing in pozi's and depositing in fake gambling websites after seeing their ads on freebitco.in and thinking that they were somehow trusted because we were showing their banners.

Simply disallowing these types of websites hasn't helped because now these advertisers are creating a faucet website to get approval and then redirecting to ponzi's and gambling websites after their websites are approved. I do not have the resources to monitor all active ads regularly and so it makes more sense to just disable the advertising option.

Once it is disabled, ads that are active will continue to be shown until they run out. Any future deposits sent to the advertising deposit address will be credited to the main balance after this.

You can still create ads now. I shall start phasing this out within the next 2 weeks.

Why don't you just hire someone on the forum to filter the Ad's for you, like the signature campaign managers are managing the

signature campaigns on behalf of the companies? You submit the criteria and this "Ad Manager" verify the sites and you do the

approvals and activations? Less work for you, and a income for someone who needs a job.  Huh Your Ad's has always been very

competitively priced.. So this will be bad for the people, who want to use it legitimately.  Sad

I already have someone who approves ad's but the issue is with checking hundreds of active ads on a daily basis to see if any are redirecting to un-approved websites after their ad has been approved. That job would take more than 1 person I think and the revenue from ads would not make up the cost of paying for them.

Why not change the system, so that no changes can be made to the URL after it was tested and approved or are they using a legit URL

for the application, and then redirects the traffic from that URL to Ponzi's and Scams? It is a pity that legit businesses have to be

punished, because a small percentage of people misused this service. Another option would be to put a disclaimer on the page with the

banner or Ad, warning people about the Ad's that are being displayed on the site.  Roll Eyes

URL's cannot be changed but that doesn't stop the website owner from redirecting to a ponzi after their URL is approved (the URL remains the same but the website changes). It's mostly the bitcoin doubler type ponzi's who abuse this and even with their crappy design and bad english, people still seem to deposit 1 BTC+ at these websites

I have disclaimers all over the website whenever ads are shown but that still doesn't seem to stop people from investing and then blaming us and calling us a scam etc. It creates a negative reputation that we could do without.

Maybe once advertising is removed, I'll implement a system where we accept clean ads on a case by case basis.

Well your "case by case" solution to this problem would seem to be the perfect solution, but I am just worried about the income stream

you are losing from this, and added to that the income that are lost from the AdSense. Will the site survive on the income generated

purely from the gambling side? Well, with your traffic, it would be a shame not to be able to advertise on your site.  Sad

Yes, in the last 30 days, ad revenue was just 2.5% of the total free play rewards+ref. commission on it's best day. It really produces very little revenue for the work that is entailed in maintaining it.

Most of the revenue currently comes from the dice games. Ads only make up less than 5% of the total revenue.

Hi,

So it means that people play dice not only from faucet.. If revenue from ads is only 5% people have to deposit a lot!! Good for you!

What happen with google AdSense?
I understand that they close your account. I hear that AdSense start removing ads from all faucets, but they always give some strange reasons..
Can you tell what happen with your account? It was about traffic, or any other reason?

Adsense has blocked the website from displaying ads since April this year (if I remember correctly) and also took back a bunch of money the website had made.

Im sure of that, but can you tell us what was the official reason? Till now i hear that mostly they close accounts because of traffic.. Do this happen to you also?

The reason they gave is "incentivized traffic" ie. paying people for using the website.
328  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: October 21, 2016, 02:05:05 AM
hey man. I love your site.

Lost shed loads of btc there. But no biggie. I won recently 1.74 BTC Cool  . My question is : are you willing to offer maybe investing in your site like on dice sites?

Quite a few people have been asking about this so I have been considering offering an investment option. However, it won't be as straight forward as just investing in the bankroll, I was planning to offer "profit share" tokens that users could buy to share in the profits of the website. Not sure how much interest there would be in such a thing.

I would venture to guess this would be a popular feature, but I would rather see the site stay privately owned and run. Once you instigate outside "ownership" stakes, the independence of the operation is not as sound as you have shareholders to please rather than doing what is best for the site. On top of that, there's no way the investment can ever pay off for shareholders. If they make a profit on their investment in the site, that's money you've lost that could have been solely your profit. It is only in your interest to sell interests in the site if people could never possibly recoup the cost of buying in, because that would maximize YOUR revenue generated from the site. The only time a business should sell interests to the public is when they legitimately need the funding to expand the business to make it more profitable. Selling interests just for the sake of selling interests, absent a real business need to raise funding, calls into question the motivation of doing so. As for market "demand," people invested in bitcoin are unsophisticated investors and pretty bad at evaluating fiscal decisions. They would buy a stake in just about any bitcoin business touted here. Just because you could sell interests in the business doesn't mean you should, as it would be taking advantage of a rather dull investor class that thinks they're going to get rich buying bitcoin and investing in bitcoin businesses.

For all these reasons, I would rather see the integrity of the site and you as the owner remain above question, which it currently is, by keeping the ownership of the site private.

Yes, you are right. The only reasons that I thought of raising money would be to increase the bankroll for larger max bets (hoping it will attract more volume) or to obtain a legitimate gambling license (from the EU, which is a long drawn and expensive process) and then to diversify into a full fledged provably fair casino which should greatly increase shareholder value if successful.

However, I am working on a couple of other ideas that I plan on linking to freebitco.in and which does not need raising capital, so offering investments has not been much of a priority since doing so would currently only reduce profitability. Maybe at some point in the future when I am able to pursue the above options.

I made a request some time ago usig the contact form. I love the percentage given from referals' claims. Too too too good. Thanks once again. But i needed to asked that a new feature be added on sharing. On site, i think one can only share coins with referals... could it be possible to share coins with a freebitco user who is not your referal or who is not on your referal list? Please i realy need it so greatly. Thanks.

What for? Freebitco.in is not a site where people interact with each other, so enabling any sort of tipping feature serves no purpose. The only use for that would be balance consolidation from multiple accounts into one (making it easier for the abusers).

Yes, the system is easy to implement but this is the main reason I haven't done it so far.

-snip-

Lol, there is no "bot" generating server seeds, they are just random strings. You could also change the client seed for every roll to influence the outcome (even offered as an option in auto-bet). Also, all client seeds are generated via javascript on the client side so we do not know what they are until the roll is played.

Numbers over 10,000 aren't possible because when a 8 character string is converted to decimal, the maximum value is 4294967295 and this is then divided by 429496.7295 so the max value can only be 10,000.

"Provably fair" is not just a word, it's the system that can be checked before and after every roll and there is no way we can generate a number in our favour. I wish more people would take time to read the provably fair tab because I spent a while writing everything in simple terms that everyone could understand, unlike many dice sites I see who claim to be provably fair but offer little to no explanation of the system they use.

Hello guys those who are wondering if I really won 0.3 btc or I am bluffing, here you go - my user/referral ID = 2715691

wetsuit can now confirm that I won the amount this morning.

Also if anyone wants to join as my referral use the referral id to sign up, I always cashback 50% of referral commission to my active referrals via the Auto-Share feature third option.

I can confirm that user id 2715691 did roll 10,000 and win $200. Congratulations again!
I have to say that he is really very lucky, one in millions i would say have won that award because since years i have not heard any one winning that maximum amount of 200USD.I would say the user must use in worthly and not to even try to gamble with those winning amount.use them wisely.

Yeah, I saw it on another section, this guy was really very lucky. I never saw someone earning it before. Big prize. On the other hand the faucet site had a big loss with it...

Anyway, many bitcoin enthusiasts will see this guy that earned $200 and surely they will try their luck also on freebitco.in, it will boost the faucet site with more users for sure.

Agreed. But I doubt that the faucet is hurting from this one win. If you think about it, this faucet's sustainability is pretty amazing. You can claim your earnings and let it sit in an account until you're ready to withdraw, or you can use your earnings to try and multiply your earnings. I know of a few users who also use the multiplier as a full-on dice site, which means they actually deposit their own bitcoin into the site, and not just use their earnings. Statistically, the site will win from the dice side of it, which keeps the earnings within the site, rather than paying out all the time to users. Brilliant.

wetsuit, how many times has the 10000 roll in the faucet been hit since you launched? I'd say a couple times now, amiright?

Quite a few more than that, we currently pay around 5 BTC a day just for free rolls and free roll commissions.

Take offense if you want, I am not phased in the least. I made a rational observation and I stated the facts. This site has been claiming that there are $200 hourly winners for years and they even claimed that they are encouraging users to report their winnings in this thread.

We see the odd 3rd and 4th place reporting here and zero hourly winners and we should be gullible enough to believe that this is not manipulated?

Let's say this site has been around for 3 years. {It has been for more than that} OK, basic math would bring you to this : 24hour per day x 365 days = 8760 per year x 3 years =  26 280 Winners!!! ... And ONLY one have reported that they have won $200 in the hourly payout, since this has started?

The math has won this argument my friend. ^smile^ Your 3rd and 4th prize is just a smoke screen for the lottery to continue. <Carrot for the donkeys> The real money, 1st and 2cnd place has never been reported. ^Rofl^

I don't know whether the rolls are honest or not, but your entire argument is based on the assumption that every, or most of freebitco.in users are not only active on bitcointalk but also in this very thread. I'm sure significant portion of users don't even speak English, probably for many their experience with cryptos starts and ends with using faucet(s).
And even of that (likely) small portion of users active both on faucet and forum, many would simply not bother with reporting/bragging about their winnings. If you rolled 10000 while taking a dump in your work, would you care about taking a screenshot, uploading image, logging in to the forum and posting? I certainly wouldn't.

Quote

^ not sure what you tried to do here. You showed that 1 user dedicating all his life to claiming faucet payments (no sleep, work, holidays etc) would, on average, hit top payment 2.6 times every 3 years (26,280/10000), or 0.88 times/year.

Yes, most of our users are from non-eglish speaking countries and 90% of our support requests are in other languages (russian and spanish being the highest if I recall correctly). It makes sense why most winners would not post here. However, winners do tell other people since our traffic has grown by more than 100% (probably near 200% but it's been a while since I checked) over the last year if I remember correctly.

The database server had crashed which caused downtime of about 3 hours. Everything is back up and running now though and there is 3x reward points until the end of this Sunday UTC to compensate for the downtime. Also active bonuses during this time have been extended by 8 hours.
