322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: catcoin, whats in your wallet? :) on: December 25, 2013, 07:12:53 AM
seems like you got good value, whered you sell them at?  100 kitteh coin here lol, down with catcoin, all hail kittehcoin!
323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This setup suitable to mine? on: December 25, 2013, 06:49:22 AM
yep, its mostly down to gpu, from the 6970 you should be able to get 430-500+ kh/s script mining alt coins catcoin etc etc etc etc etc. maybe even try some ltc as its got good value but would be harder to get than any new coin, its so flooded with coins though any new one is almost guaranteed to go nowhere. try and find with an actual purpose and dev's trying to actually get an industry to use it.

with both those cards tuned up you might be able to get 1000kh/s so i reckon mine ltc and pick 1 altcoin a month that looks good to get some of and keep incase it goes big.

you could even have one card mining one coin and another card mining another coin

331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining in 2014 with bitcoin low as $10 on: December 21, 2013, 01:30:58 PM
well, mining youd only make money if the price went back up... if you kept the $5k and just bought bitcoin at $10 would be better off. but hey we'd all buy btc for $10! don't think it would be a problem next year
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EXN] Anyone heard of Exilecoin? on: December 21, 2013, 01:16:57 PM
i've mined a few.. not many, youd need some good hardware to get a decent amount, its been round a few weeks maybe more, you can buy game bots or something already so i thought it looked promising, bit hard to get with only about 400kh/s tho

337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptsy on: December 14, 2013, 09:28:26 PM

For Australians the best way to get bitcoins is coinjar.com. I've been using them for the last couple of months and they've been flawless.

From there you can transfer your btc over to cryptsy and start trading.

Welcome to crypto currencies and happy trading Smiley

Thanks for the tip on how to buy btc in AUS. Still a bit undecided on Cyptsy though. I might try one of the others someone recommended first. Glad to get everyones opinion though. Don't worry I won't be putting my life savings on an exchange hehe.

So at the moment its...

cryptsy

https://www.coins-e.com

https://vircurex.com/

can anyone else vouch for the other 2, i will do some more research later today.
338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: distance and latency an issue with mining pools? on: December 14, 2013, 09:18:08 PM
ive definitely had more rejects from different pools, with exact same pc and settings, seems to be the network latency between me and pool.

also p2pools seem worse reject wise, not sure if its that just my luck tho hehe
339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Rig hashing at 64 mhash/s on: December 14, 2013, 11:06:19 AM
buy an ASIC device if its just for btc. otherwise lots of video cards (ATI 7970s or something) if you want to mine alt coins.
340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptsy on: December 14, 2013, 10:40:53 AM
