@Pool.mn: Gotta go now, if I leave my miner pointed to your pool it 'll be okay after launch?
Yes, you can do that safely. We are waiting for the relaunch.

pool.nm, on what port you gonna host it this time?
The same port.

Difficulty of 2700 means that with a network of 50GH/s it would take on average around 5 min to solve for a block. But this is just the average time...
It has been stuck on that diff for more than 25 minutes. Yes, that is true. The actual time to solve for a block could be much longer than the average time. Right now we have bitcoin blockchain speed.

Or maybe it was programmed for first blocks to prevent someone instamine except dev? Maybe, but how could the dev instamine with that high difficulty? Moreover, less than 20 blocks were mined, that doesn't seem like an instamine.

something wrong with difficulties adjustment
I think this is just the risk when difficulty readjusts every block from block 1. Rapidly increasing network hashrate is causing difficulty to significantly overshoot.
|
|
|
yeah there's some fella with 19gh/s on that pool
No there isn't, net hash is 3 GH/s. Block time 60 seconds or 20 minutes? Net hash is slow to update, swagpool has more than 20GH/s hashrate.

why do I have a feeling that pool.mn is behind the DDOSing, it has the highest hashrate and whenever another pool goes over 2 GH/s hashrate it gets DDosed? Pool.mn never ever did before.
Also been mining on another pool that is getting DDosed with about 3GH/s and made in less than a hour almost double what I mined at pool.mn for 2 hours at same difficulty...strange?
Before blaming us, please make sure that the other pool can handle the higher load. It is good for the network to spread the hashrate. It would be completely ridiculous on our side to be engaged in such activity. Regarding low number of shares for some found blocks - this is happening all the time on most coins and most/all pools. Mathematically it is possible to find several blocks with very little shares, although the probability is low. Nonetheless, if one looks at the average statistics one would see that on average it takes the expected number of shares to find a block so that the ratio of actual/expected is around 1.

wait.
OP actually stated 2 max supply.
Above written 5 million. (PoW)
Below written 50 million. (Total)
I think there is a mistake in the OP, 10k blocks each worth 5k coins is 50mln POW coins. Premine is 0.5mln.

i want to try
pool.mn coin?
Pool.mn has nearly all the hash yet isn't showing any blocks of the last 14...last time I mine with them. I am sorry, could you explain which blocks didn't show up? When pool.mn kicked in, it dominated the hash and the blocks started hitting like crazy. Clearly Pool.mn was generating all of these estimated 50-100 blocks. However, the first block that pool.mn paid miners for was block 270. If Pool.mn kicked in around block 150, what happened to the rewards from all the blocks it mined up to block 270? The pool didn't find any blocks between blocks 150-270 due to charity in the code. It took us around 10 min to spot and fix this.

where are the missing blocks ? There are no missing blocks, there is charity for each block of 20 coins. We didn't include the charity code in the stratum initially. So what happened to all the blocks that were hit before the charity started kicking in? The first block that the pool found is block 270. The pool didn't find any block before block 270.

I just want to say that pool.mn was trying to contact the dev for more than a week when there was a single pool in the OP (supernova.cc), however the dev never responded back and decided to add two other pools without actually explaining anything. I personally offered to publish the pool code so that other pools could use it but no reply. I am suspecting that the coin is affiliated with suprnova.cc as the other two pools are affiliated with him. This doesn't necessarily mean that a coin is bad. Just my 2c.
