I figured I'd try something new last night on the BBQ.

You take boneless, skinless chicken breast filets and flatten them out a bit.  I chopped up some jalapeno, and mixed it in with some creme cheese.  Put a ball of the mixture in the middle of the chicken breast.  Wrapped them up and then wrapped them in bacon with some toothpicks to keep them together.

They can be a bit of a pain on the BBQ, but if you keep any eye on them, it's not all that bad.

Low heat is the key to cook the chicken without burning the bacon.  After some trial and error with a a few, I found that using the top warming wrack to crisp the bacon a bit worked good without over cooking the chicken.

just a quick question

on the 17th we are required to send a pm to stunna about the whole details including our post count and btc address right? now my question is which time zone does stunna is? i am 7 hours ahead to usa if he is on that state then i need to send him a pm on the 18th base on my time and date

Not sure what time zone he is in, but I just go off of the forum time (UTC) for everything around here.  Seems the easiest way to do it.
323  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best energy drink on: June 13, 2014, 04:53:40 AM
Cannabis Energy Drink does not contain any THC or other psychoactive substances.
So I don't think it is illegal anywhere.

I live in Asia, and you will face criminal prosecution even if you possess 0.1 mg of cannabis. So if I am going to order the drink from the Netherlands, there is a chance that the customs authorities will make my life terrible.  Grin

Seriously, thats just messed up.  The police pretty much turn a blind eye to cannabis here.  As long as you're not being a dick about it and keep it on the down low, they don't care.  Anything under an ounce in Vancouver, and it's a simple ticket.
324  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best energy drink on: June 12, 2014, 11:04:23 PM
The only energy drink I will ever touch is Nos Energy Drink, original flavor.

I probably only drink 1 or 2 a year.  I try to avoid energy drinks as much as possible.  I used to drink Vodka Red Bulls back in the day, and they started to mess me up pretty bad.

Apparently I'm strange though, as my friends think it is the most disgusting energy drink out there, LOL!
325  Other / Off-topic / Re: Question about dreams/night terrors, do you get them? on: June 12, 2014, 10:26:11 PM
I have had night terrors since childhood. I usually get them when I am not getting enough sleep. For the imagery a blindfold works pretty well. I bought one of the ones people use to block out light and wear it whenever I think I might have one from lack of sleep.

These can be really terrifying and keep you in that weird state of mind for days at a time. I am terribly sorry to hear you have them too.

Never thought about the lack of sleep part of it.  Could be a huge part of it.  I've had issues sleeping ever since I was a kid. I'll have to try and pay attention to my lack of sleep when I get them.

Sorry to hear you get them, I know how much they suck and how much they can mess with the head.

On the bright side I saw a statistic that people with certain sleep disorders have a higher IQ than the average. I am also a sleep walker so my IQ must be way up there.  Grin

Sweet!

I used to sleep walk when I was a kid apparently.  From what i remember, I only did it a few times.  I remember being at a sleepover when I was 12 or so.  Couple of us were still up.  We watched a buddy get up, walk over to the corner, took a piss, than went back to his sleeping bag.  Figured he was awake, but he was sound asleep the whole time apparently.  When we woke him up, he didn't remember doing it. LOL!

Don't you hate it when btt says that your last post was within blahblahblah and don't let you post

The higher your ranking is, the less time it will be.  I don't even realize it's around anymore.  Haven't had to deal with the message in a long time.  I have no clue what mine is now, but I can't imagine it being an issue for posting unless you make a lot of posts, or type insanely fast.

**EDIT**

So I did a test, right now mines at 10 seconds. I can't imagine making 2 posts withing a 10 second span.

Might have been the Kings best game this series with the puck. Just couldn't get it past King Henrik. I think Ranger fans can stop with the Kings getting all the "puck luck!" Two pucks sitting right on the goal line but they just couldnt cash them in. Overall good game!

It was a great game.  Rangers got damn lucky in the third though.  Clean ice and that puck was in.  Don't think any team can whine about puck luck, it still would have been 3-0 before tonight.

Wow 11 NTC's! I didn't know that. Supposedly Spezza has asked out of Ottawa. It's just probably one of the destinations that Kesler isn't interested in going.

I as actually off by one. I included Luongo in that number.  Forget he's gone sometimes since the team is still on the hook for part of his contract.

NMC's: D Sedin, H Sedin

NTC's: Kesler, Burrows, Higgins, Hansen, Edler, Bieksa, Garrison, Hamhuis

Gillis really did a number on the future.

Apparently Kelser has given a 6 team list. Apparently the Ducks and Flyers are his front runners.  Doubt Ottawa would be one of them, and I don't like the sounds of Spezza as a Canuck.  I'd like to the Vancouver get a younger forward in return.

Kings down in the 3rd period...let's see if they can pull off another come from behind victory!   I kind of want them to close the series in the Staples Center.  Winning a championship is not as cool on the road...

NY outshout 8-0 so far.  Typical AV, protect the one goal lead by sitting in your own end.  This usually doesn't end well.

MMA legend and 3 time UFC title contender Chael Sonnen announced his retirement after failed drug test.
Story from espn.com:
 http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/11069205/ufc-fighter-chael-sonnen-announces-retirement-mixed-martial-arts

Not sure how I feel about this.  On one hand, I liked his trash talking and the shit disturbing he did out side of the ring.  The other part is happy he's gone.  He just didn't have it anymore to be enough of a serious contender for the belt.

Shame he has to go out on a low not failing a drug test.

I don't think you will find a correct answer in this forum, just contact a real doctor and ask him, good luck.

Oh, I know. I've talked to a few different doctors over the years, nothing really useless ever seems to come out of them.  Just curious to hear other peoples experiences.
learn to enjoy them Smiley no, for real, i know it sounds crazy, but i sometimes have a real blast.
Its not so easy, but with time you can learn to have lucid dreams - you will know ure dreaming, and when u manage to be aware of the dream, but remain calm so that u dont wake up, nothing will make you feel so good.

cheers

I hear what you're saying and I can somewhat do that with certain dreams.  Night terrors are a whole new ball game though. I've tried to remain calm and twist them, but it never seems to happen.

Do you get startled easily?

I have a friend who has suffered from nightterrors even since he was young. He gets scared and startled so easily and he is sure it's because of the nightterrors he has been having.

Not sure if I'd say I get startled easy, sometimes sure.  That usually only happens when I'm really tuned into something.  I used to dread them growing up as I used to get them constantly.  I don't get them nearly as often as I used to, sometimes I forget about them, then they come back again.
332  Other / Off-topic / Re: NHL Stanley Cup Final 2014. Who do you want to win and why? on: June 12, 2014, 01:46:26 AM
I definitely can see him leaving if given the right situation. He's had the taste of being a head coach in the league and I'm sure he would love to pilot his own team again. The Canucks have some talent there. They just need to decide what to do with Kesler. If he doesn't want to be there, they should try and package him for someone or picks.

Yeah, Kesler needs to be moved.  Sadly, his NTC makes it tricky.  Gillis handcuffed the team with 11 of those before he left. pretty much all our top players have one. I think his value is still high enough though to pick up a decent player and picks or maybe straight across star for star player.

Vancouver isn't an easy market to play in.  Lot of pressure to perform here, not easy for a coach to come in either.  Huge expectations for the team to win.

Looks like The Rangers have come pout to play tonight, but damn, almost through away the 2-0 lead ina couple minutes there.

@IamCANADIAN013,

Do you think your team will make a run at John Stevens? I know he was a finalist for the job before they hired Torts last year. I would hate to see the Kings lose him, but I think its just a matter of time now!

There have been talks about it in the local media, not really sure how serious they are this time around.  I think he would be a good fit with the direction Linden is trying to take the team.  I don't see him alone changing the direction of the team.

Would he really want to leave though if the Kings win another Stanley Cup?  I can see the Kings being a cup favorite again next year. The Canucks, I just don't see them being a contender again for a few years.
334  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your worst dates on: June 11, 2014, 05:37:42 AM
I've been on a lot of bad dates over the years.    Guess I can thank online dating for that, LOL!

Shouldn't complain too much, met my current gf of 2 years online.  It has provided me with MANY interesting date stories.

Probably one of the worst was for St. Patricks Day.  We had never met in person and we decided to meet at a local Irish pub. I assumed it was more of a date than a get together as it turned out to be.  She had a bunch of her friends there, awkward!  I figured, whatever, I can get along with anyone. Well, it just turned into a piss fest with them getting wasted.

Apparently she needed to be buzzed to socialize with me because it took a few drinks for her to bother to socialize me.  By that time I was pretty much tuned out. But whatever, I figured I'd just drink a few and stumble home as it was 10 minutes down the road.

Her buddy ended up disappearing and all of a sudden we all needed to find him.  No one could find him in the pub so the group had to head outside, LOL!  At this point it was getting laughable, but she begged me to help.  We walked the parking lot of this pub and complex that it was in to no avail.  Went back to the pub and I just sat down and said, screw it, ordered another beer and said I was done with the entire situation.

She started to cry and sobbed "but I really like you"  I laughed. Her friends told me that she got like that when she was drunk, great.  Little while later her buddy came back.  Turns out he passed out in one of the bathroom stalls.

I got up "to go to the can" found the waitress on the way and said I was on their tab and fucked off out the side door.

Never heard from here again. I guess it worked out all right though, managed to get a few free drinks.

I'm sure there are many worse but this one popped up first.

My observations in a brief hour or so is that this is not a forum to help people, but a gossip shop for geeky insiders.

Am I wrong?

I found this a great forum to help me out when I first got into bitcoin.  Most members here are very helpful and will try to steer you in the right direction.  Sure you have to wade through the FUD, but If it wasn't for this forum I likely would have given up on bitcoin.

I've been posting here since mid January and I'm still getting more and more involved in the forum.  It has many great sub forums and many great users.

I suggest reading the newbie thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.0 and checking out the meta forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

Lots of useful information in there.

Finally the Kings have gotten a lead during regulation.  Seriously all of their wins have been come from behind..

It's all but over.  It's gonna be 4 straight at this rate.  AV proving once again how easily he can be out coached.  He's making his team look like the visitors out there.  He has the last change and is allowing Sutter to dictate the play.

On the Kings 2012 cup run, Sutter out coached AV when he was with Vancouver. So its no surprise. 1 win away, but like they say, the closeout game is always the toughest! GKG!

As a Canucks fan I know all to well how AV got out coached, I watched it on a regular basis.  Not sure why I thought this final would be any different, but it serves as a good reminder as to why I was happy when he got fired last year.

The last one is the hardest, but for NY to win for in a row, i just don't see it happening.

The first movie was awesome, it was too deep and I still can't understand what happened in the end. 2nd movie was more like a meh. but it was OK anyway. When I finished watching the 3rd movie I was like, alright fuck it.

Couldn't have said it better myself.  The first one was mind blowing at the time. Such a great movie. The special effects were a step a head of their time on the big screen.  Still awesome today on the surround sound and big screen TV.

Second one was really hard to get through, but i was hoping for big things after the first one, never panned out that way.  Third one I couldn't even get through.  I've tried and just can't get into it.

I fear down the road that they will try to resurrect the series and make another one.
338  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do You smoke? tobacco/weed on: June 10, 2014, 08:24:25 AM
Smoked a couple of packs a day for about 15 years. Been vaping now for about 4 years. I breath better, my blood work is off the charts good and my car no longer smells like ass.

It's weird how you never notice it at the time, but now the smell is brutal.  I'm super sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke now.  When I sit near someone now, the smell just turns my stomach.  Back in the day, I never noticed how foul the smell was.

Sweet! Gonna have to try and make it down for this.  If I won I'd definitely take the car. Even with depreciation and other factors the cars worth more than $10,000 Canadian. Even if that car was a 2012, it would still go for around $14,000 used right now.  Newer souls are going for $20,000+ used.  These cars are killer for keeping their value.

cool, i think i'd take the car over the $10,000.. either way, you'd have to pay capital gains taxes, and the car is probably worth more than $10k.

Is it though?Cheesy

it seems like one of those fuel efficient cars, so it'll hold its value just fine. you could always re-paint the car if you don't like the way it looks.

Any car starts depreciating as soon as it rolls off the lot. With the bit coin you might be able to buy a fleet of those in 5 years.

Would you rather take $10,000 worth of bitcoin or say $20,000 cash to sink into bitcoin?

If I can get it to coinbase fast enough give me 20k. If we are in a rally I would take the 10 k worth because the jump will be rapid to say the least.

It's definitely a decision with many factors. Lots of time between here and December for things to change. Personally, I only said car because I figure it would be worth more in cash that I could flip over to more bitcoin.  I don't think I could sleep at night driving that car.  I hate the look of them.   Cheesy
