Thanks for running a solid and honest exchange, and still carrying Aeon (when others had given up on it).

Hhmmm. Bittrex must own some of it or someone is paying to keep it there. In the past, they have wasted no time in delisting coins with poor performance. Probably, one of the main reasons for the downturn in business.

Then we sell the coins to the public/users.

Another IPO. Sounds great. This one is bound to succeed because its opposite to all the other IPOs.

Looks like I touched a nerve.  Wink How is jackpotcoin doing?

Reads like a pretty respectful * PM * to me.  And where is your reply? Still waiting for the list from the self proclaimed expert.  Grin
324  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you have the IO HAWK / hands free segway? on: October 31, 2015, 01:13:37 AM
I was talking to a guy riding around on one of those last summer. Pretty cool rig. He didn't offer to let me try though. Too pricey for me.

and i am smarter ..i cashed out waaaaaaaaaaay before LOL

I call bullshit on that.

You lost more than you could afford. You are not the altruistic defender of cryptocurrency you would like people to believe. I bet you lost a shitload and it made you very bitter. For this, I understand and commiserate.

While I enjoy(and appreciate) your crusade against scams and scammers, you lose credibility when you peddle the bs.

Maybe it is a good idea to ask our friends to buy 1 bitcoin each. There will not be more than 21 million people having more than 1 bitcoin. We could be the world's top 21 million rich person.

I've always advocated that especially when btc was under $250. A small investment that *could* reap a fortune in years to come.

I know the idea is to get btc used as a mainstream currency but in the interim putting away one single bitcoin is a good idea. If it never becomes a viable currency it could very well remain a tremendous store of wealth.

"Waaaahhhh. Bitcointalk hurts my feefee's and isn't a hugbox ! Waaaaaaahhhh. Oh, BTW, please rate my grade-school-level artwork and give me more attention"

Don't be too hard on "it".  I say "it" because we have no idea what we are dealing with.

It is a very sad and lonely person. I don't know what's going on in its life to adopt btctalk as its home but its crying out human interaction and acceptance. Could be someone house bound for health reasons. Obviously, it does not get out much and has no physical friends.

If people quit responding to it, it will go away and try elsewhere.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 28, 2015, 05:58:42 PM
I would suggest OP to watch this documentary which explains many things about your question.
The movie is called 'Bitcoin The End of Money as We Know It' watched it today and it's impressive.
Bitcoin can not replace dollar but bicoin will be one day the first e-currency being used online.

I agree. This movie really opened my mind. It really gives you insight on how fiat works, who controls it, and why bitcoin makes sense. This movie should be a prerequisite in schools.

You lead the charge Spoetnik.

Maybe have a poll on which coin is best for us to back?  Wait. That won't work. No one will want to buy other's bags.

How about a brand new coin we can all get behind? Wait. Already been done. Didn't we have bitcointalk coin already? Where did it go?

Herding cats is going to be easier than getting consensus here but I applaud your sentiment.

331  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this Tor network safe for Web browsing and BTC online wallets or not on: October 13, 2015, 10:09:06 AM
Absolutely not.

Tor's function is to supply anonymity not security.  If you visit encrypted pages via tor you should still be theoretically safe and have tor's anonymity.

If you visit unencrypted pages you will have anonymity but no security.  In short, you will be at the mercy of unscrupulous tor exit nodes who will have a clear view of your surfing.

Unfortunately, you are at the mercy of exit nodes. Do you really want to access secure pages knowing an exit node could be trying to overcome the encryption or maybe the exit node is spoofing the page you go to regularly.

Not worth the risk. You are far safer investing in a Vpn service.

332  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OrcaVPN.com | DDoS Protected | Anonymous | IP Randomization on: October 12, 2015, 06:11:03 PM
You need to encrypt your website for starters. You want people to enter their email on an unencrypted  page in order to buy.

Supply some easy-to-understand tutorials for configuration with various operating systems.

Good luck.
333  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OrcaVPN.com | DDoS Protected | Anonymous | IP Randomization on: October 12, 2015, 02:51:13 AM
I have openvpn. That's not the issue.

I just wanted to setup networkmanager manually. Importing opvn is hit and miss.
334  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: October 12, 2015, 01:44:21 AM
At these prices everyone should own ONE bitcoin whether they believe in it or not.

Someone, earlier, compared btc to a diamond.  Save it. Treasure it. It could be worth a fortune in years to come or you lose $248.
335  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OrcaVPN.com | DDoS Protected | Anonymous | IP Randomization on: October 12, 2015, 01:25:42 AM
I might give it a go but I see no configuration info for debian/buntu.

Lzo compression, cipher, port, hmac auth, gateway port, renegotiation interval, dns servers?
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This new Bitshares thing! on: October 10, 2015, 10:11:29 PM
Protoshares coming back as Bitshares. Interesting. Is this something like dark to dash?

I remember an almost dead protoshares coming back to life with an amazing pump crew. They spewed quack-dac at Polo for days and days.

Regardless of the science, these guys know how to sell.

337  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: October 10, 2015, 07:33:54 PM
BTW Thanks for crunching the numbers on XPY way back when, vancefox! ...  I was only able to see the light when I saw you break it down & expose it for the impossibility that it was.

Everyone was lying...except Maths.

While I appreciate the thanks, I can't take all the credit... there were plenty of people besides me talking about the umm... issues of this "coin".

Take the credit and run Smiley

The tide began to turn around the time when you posted your findings. At the very least it was a butterfly effect of sorts, except it wasn't a random accidental event at all. The coin was crap and you put the facts out for everyone to see in an easy-to-understand and impossible-to-deny form.

I was so happy when vancefox posted his findings. Everything up to that point was "he said she said...". Although we knew it was a scam beforehand, vancefox's findings were the smoking gun IMO.
338  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Google Voice Account - Your personal USA Phone Number Outside USA - $2 on: October 09, 2015, 12:48:57 AM
I was a little taken back knowing my calls and texts have been forwarded to another number. Probably something people should be aware of. I may never have found that had it not been for the notification.

Other than that glitch, I've been happy with the accounts.

339  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Kali linux on: October 08, 2015, 09:17:29 PM
Your best bet is to do some practice runs installing Tails to usb, creating a persistent volume, and running it. Once you trust it go ahead and try out the wallet. Remember to carefully save the electrum seed and all associated passwords for Tails and electrum on paper.

To answer your question: If you do not setup a persistent volume none of your data will be saved when you shutdown Tails.
340  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Kali linux on: October 08, 2015, 06:22:17 PM
Good point about "root". Running as root is dangerous. Most live cds run with elevated privileges.  I've never installed Kali (previously Backtrack). Are you sure it does not setup a user account on installation?

what I meant is if I'am infected on Windows right now , and I dual boot Kali linux then logically the Linux should be safe by default right ?

No guarantees but its unlikely linux would be affected.
