Looks like security token offerings are stepping in the limelight lately. Which is kind of weird when we had a period where almost every crypto project desperately tried to avoid their token being labeled a security. What has happened that security tokens are seen more favorably now?
With the increased attention ICOs seem to be getting, regulatory requirements are getting more real every day. Considering that most the tokens that are being sold claim to be utility tokens, the chances for exit scams or failed investments increase significantly. Despite the jump in funding between 2017 and 2018, ICOs are becoming harder to participate in. Most of today’s ICOs are struggling to stay within the regulatory requirements and are trying to be safe by limiting the public access to ICOs and making the ICOs available to private accredited investors only. However, that seems to be a temporary solution to the problem as the regulations get tighter. Eventually, chances are that ICOs will inevitably make room for a more regulated landscape. With adoption comes regulations and such regulations may be satisfied with Security Token Offering (STOs). |

Good points. Of course we will keep developing our project and as you can see our roadmap goes a long way. We plan on releasing atleast one development update per month (shows what we've done, how far we are etc.) and updates about everything else surrounding the project. |

Have any measurements been taking to prevent dumping after bonus release?
Yes, we are mainly looking for people who share the same longterm vision as we do. We have also removed any bonusses and implented a state of the art vesting system; Second-by-Second (SbS) vesting. SbS works as follows;
We will deploy a smart contract which will vest allocations second by second. What this means in practice is that at any point a token investor wanted to release their tokens, they can make a call on the smart contract and then will have access to the total number of tokens that will have vested at that second. As an example: after the lockup, tokens will be vested over 31,536,000 seconds (365 days x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds). If they did it at exactly 6 months, they would receive half. If they did it at 1 day, then 10 days, then 57 days, and then every 3 weeks; they would receive the relevant whole tokens (rounded down) at each specific second. |

I am getting more and more interested in privacy by design, ie. instead of having to share all my data with a company or institute and trying to get them to delete some of my personal data (which they sell for profit and subsequently leaks everywhere), just only share the data that is necessary.
Does Dusk enable or support privacy by design?
Dusk Network is not a data-exchange, instead we focus on anonymity. Dusk Features untraceability through the use of RingCT, unlikability through the use of stealth addresses and protection from double spending or blockchain forks through the novel consensus mechanism called SBA. It takes the latest lessons learned in cryptography and prepares for the future through an adaptable core ready for bulletproof transactions. |

What will be the average transaction fee for transferring coins from one wallet to another?
We can't really provide details on the transaction fees at this point. Our token is not tradable yet. The platform will take fees in the form of gas just as Ethereum does. But it will be like Ethereum that Gas is actually Ether so there won't be two coins like NEO uses? so the fees will be from the model of eth in the form of gas, so it will be a single token that will also be used as gas? can i have more details?... Well we're a research project. What we're trying to do has not been done before, hence the need of all the advisors. Their expertise can help prevent some obstacles in the future, which (like any other project) are bound to happen. It's quite refreshing to hear these words, whatever is going to be the result of your work it's clear you are making sure the technical side is covered and sound, instead of making fake promises just to fuel the hype. If you get this to work you guys are going places  Your support is greatly appreciated. So far everything has been running as planned! I know DUSK token is utility but STO might not be count as utility token. Is STO transfer to other platform or exchange require KYC? is there any white listing feature will be who already done KYC once?
To help third parties to meet the legal requirements of their ownership transfer use-case, the Dusk protocol provides optional on-chain operations of white-listing (using Zero-Knowledge Cryptographic Accumulators). In the sensitive case of securities, we are also developing a Confidential Security Token Standard that allows third parties to issue security tokens on top of the Dusk Network (the XST standard). Security tokens implementing the XST will have both privacy (i.e. investment and market positions are not openly broadcasted on the ledger) and Regulatory Compliance data (transfer of these tokens can happen only if purchasers add to the transaction KYC data satisfying regulatory requirements) embedded directly in the transaction protocol. Dusk decouples the (centralized) KYC/AML vendor process from the (decentralized) security issuance and transaction arbitration with the aid of time-locked accumulators. Cryptographic accumulators are ideal for implementing zero-knowledge white/black listing accreditation of (un-)compliant investors and automated accreditation. Also, expiry mechanism can be added for forcing rechecks. It roughly works in the following way: as soon as the KYC/AML process completes, the transactor identifier (basically his/her registered wallet address, but it can also be something else, i.e. biometric data, etc) is committed to the accumulator, which remains opaque and discloses nothing of its set. A witness (called compliance witness) is thus generated and returned to the applicant. Such witness is the proof of set inclusion. From that point on, all transactions related to that particular asset class (token) must include the compliance witness. I hope this answers your question  |

Not to rain on your parade, but I have seen a lot of projects cheerily announce advisors only to give them tokens in exchange for their name. How can I be sure you are not just namedropping to create hype but have those advisors actually advise the project?

Seems like a solid project, but I can't fathom how one can possibly hope to create a scalable distributed network that can handle bulky media network traffic while also promising anonymity. People usually have a hard enough time tackling those problems separately.
I share your thoughts also but according to the team this is a research project and its normal that it has complexities. In this sense, we should rather trust the ability of the team to deliver it. Since this is a research project do you worry about how long it can take to achieve some of the items? Do you have any concerns that the timeline can get stretched out much longer than the planned roadmap? Our roadmap was based on reaching the original cap of 7.8m funding. Now that we have increased the cap there will be more funds to hire more of the world’s leading developers, thus speeding up our present timeline and securing our competitive foothold.
