why not to buy nem gold and silver coins and send them to deserving stake holders as a gift

I cant help but think that the people who really value NEM the most are the people who have waited 9 months to register. They should be given trust and some sort of Bonus however small it may be.
The remainder of the money should be held together in a fund similar to what Makoto described earlier. A fund that will help start various ventures using the upcoming asset exchange.
Am I right to then say you want more for the patience? How much is small? I think the people who really care about NEM are those trying hard to make NEM work, not those who wait 9 months, get the coins, dump and go. What I am trying to say is, there can be many who would survive on handouts or token sums to get some coins, make money on it at launch and move on. I have taken the liberty to sample quite a few of the people in this forum to check out where they go. Many are straddling on a few boats of opportunities. These are opportunists seeking gains and not interested in the future of an initiative, not just NEM alone. For these, I don't care if they are patient enough to wait 9 years. And there are many. Do not get me wrong, I too have interest in NEM. If anyone gets a bonus, so too will I. But what I am saying is, should we not use the unclaimed stakes to better and promote NEM instead of just giving back to the same people. You are making an assumption that people will dump and go. Perhaps those who registered actually care for NEM and its concept. Perhaps they will distribute in a way which is good for the coin. Maybe I am being too optimistic. There has been a shortage of people contributing in the way that you have been and others that we know of ,but maybe that will change after launch and we will hear from the true Nemsters. Ok , admitedly a lot of 'perhapses' and ' maybes' there..... if somebody gets something for free usually he doesnt value it much ,of cource they dump and go and laugh as well for getting free money giving nems away for free ,its like sending a message that it is worthless shit

what can I get for 3k nxt? I want some nothing

Proposal for unclaimed stakes ( based of equal distribution more or less) if there will be big number of those.
- 50% for those who have claimed - 20% for devs and real helpers - 20% for to keep motor running - 10 % for charity
Have we got a list where we can see claimed stakes ?
They will deliver AT for Nxt (if JL or others agree) and then bring AT to other coins, too.
Are we getting it only for us OR are we getting it before any other coin OR are we getting it after other coins? CIYAM needs to answer this question
i will pledge a few million as well
CIYAM was doing AT project for nxt for more than 6 month ,so this project should be in late stages of development and Qora could be first coin to have it implemented.

Just to clarify, when withdrawing from an exchange I use the account ID AND public key created for my NXT wallet?
Yes. The first time with any new NXT-address, you need to enter the provided (by the NXT wallet) public key in the withdraw form of the exchange. If you don't see a public key in the NXT wallet but you don't have any NXT in it, maybe that's the GUI bug in the client where the public key doesn't display anymore after you added some assets to the NXT address. In that case have a look at https://nxtforum.org/nxt-helpdesk/public-key-problem/msg100085/#msg100085. "To see your public key, go to http://localhost:7876/test, select getAccount Id and enter your passphrase in the secretPhrase box, click Submit. It will return your public key." can i include public key from new nxt acc in a transaction from old wallet?

It wouldn't matter, so long as the application/protocol were being actively supported by a growing community.
yes but the problem is that the application is closed source and the protocol description is not available..... I don't disagree. My point is, however, those are the issues that really matter, not who made the coin. I could care less who made qora, so long as it has the neccessary features and qualities to prosper. I still plan to hang around for a while, and support where I can, but the recent AE launch has proven what I hesitate to weigh in on, but it's that Qora needs at least a back-up dev, or a seconf pair of eyes. I'm not knocking the guy, but no one is a "perfect" dev, and if they tell you otherwise, well... They may have a trustworthy character, but I wouldn't trust their code. We all make mistakes and distributive, transactional ledgers are "simple" projects. Struggling to see what mistakes Qora as a developer has done. yeah I think Qora needs to be open source but Qora the developer has achieved more than NXT did, quicker than NXT and with less mishaps than NXT including zero stolen coins so far. NXT took a long time and lots of people to get where it is now. Plus you are missing that Botcoin and NXT were both the work of one man. Yeah others have refined it but the ideas came from one guy. Qora is actually following the tradition of the best developers. I want OS as much as anyone but people who suggest Qora is some science project are wrong. biggest mistake that he havent made a developer team
or at least we need a developer team of at least a few people ,to regain some trust
The biggest qora problem that is 1 man project ,if he dies (by accident like a car hit) doesnt matter how trustworthy he is , its a finish .Only hope is open source.

Does anyone knows where can I find lessons/tutorials to learn to play poker like a pro ? I want to be ready for NXT poker.
You could start at PokerStrategy.com. They have tons of starting and pro articles, videos. But don't go to far down the rabbit hole of theory, because you will spend too much time. But you have to get some basics down first. Balance this theory with playing micro stakes on any of the big sites. Try to breakeven at for a starting goal, altough, if you learn the basics, that won't be hard I disagree. Getting to breakeven at microstakes from starting out at poker is difficult. Rake is a killer. Playing poker like a pro takes a long time and lots of work. (Any lessons tutorials on playing chess like a grandmaster, any lessons/tutorials on playing piano like a master?) Rake is a killer but you won't find newbie mistakes on such a level anywhere but micro. He could start with the micro Guide (by Verneer, searchable on torrents), which is comprehensive to see what you're going to be dealing with. But for an absolute beginner that will probably be overwhelming. I'm not sure the best resource, depends on what type of game he decides to concentrate on (e.g. SNG/MTT/Cash). There's no cheat sheet for becoming good at poker, it takes thousands of hours of playing and learning. My best advice is just learn the rules and play the lowest stakes or play money at various games, just have fun expect to win some, lose some but not be a profitable player. If he finds he loves the game, then is the time to start thinking about trying to become good. verneer videos are very good for beginers to learn how to play poker
