Funny that max keiser seems to think the coin is worth more simply due to their poor planning, failure to launch, and inducing a ddos on bitcointalk by failing to post anything, literally anything, on the first post at 7:30 gmt saying launch postponed.
Yeah, it's pretty obvious the devs don't understand how to launch a coin. The info should have been in 4-5 places at once, then nobody would give a rats if one site was giving 502 errors for 5min. instead they do nothing and get 502 errors for over an hour screwing up everyone's access to bitcointalk.org especially those people that are not even sightly interested in the MaxCoin launch. |

The devs don't seem to understand that their stalling is what's causing the 502 errors, if the wallet/miner download links were up, there would be thousands of people going to those and not spamming refresh on bitcointalk.org causing the server overload.

What for are you wauting dev  ? It's 25 min past The devs are obviously new to this type of thing, they have turned bitcointalk.org into a single point of failure for the launch instead of publishing the links/info at the same time one their website, twitter, github, Facebook to spread the load. |

Every 5th F5 makes the 502 go away. Launch the damn coin already.
I bet it's not DDoS it will be thousands of silly people spamming refresh so they don't miss out on the launch thus overloading the server. |

I have to agree. I would also like to apologize for taking us ever further from the topic at hand. Frankly I let PG get under my skin after seeing page after page of nonsense. This will be my last off topic post. *edit: not apologizing to PG hes still an ass. That's why there is an ignore button, works well. I think 25% of this thread can be deleted. I'm considering placing an order for one of these may delivery units, so I am trying to find info in this thread not flame wars. |

Are you going to to an open source board design for it? I am considering that. But no promises yet. I have a little bitter taste left from the previous open-source design - which took a lot of work and energy to get it to its current and complete state, and I see a lot of people enjoying the benefits of it, except that I'm still paying the bills. And I still owe to the other people (including Luke) who did such an awesome work to get it to where it currently is. Sorry, I am not up on that story, what happened to the project, how come it cost you money? |

This is correct. Imagine that BTC crashes back down $1 tomorrow. People who buy miners now will do much better than (in BTC terms) people who just bought BTC and held on to it.
I don't understand your logic on that statement. If BTC crashes to $1 then the people that bought miners wont be able to cover their power costs and they will most likely switch them off, they will have less BTC than if they had not bough the miner. |

Why do people keep saying thus like it's the truth?! Bitfury and KNC were very nearly right on target with their shipping dates... a few days here a couple weeks there... certainly nothing major. And there's BitMain with their wonderful Antminers that just magically appeared without any preorder whatsoever.
BitMain seem to have their act together, I see many people here selling their units with delivery no more than a week or so. I am interested in the Black Arrow too, but I can't quite work out when someone will have them in stock like the Antminers. |
