^ Stokes bites the dust to Bumrah, his reaction showed it all. Bumrah has been torment to England batsmen as was Anderson to Indians, hopefully Rohit will continue to have him bowl so he can get the fifer, looks good on stats.

On other side, Mukesh has been very expensive today, he's having 8 economy rate from 5 overs bowled so far, that's just bad and that too in test cricket.

Bumrah got six wickets when everyone thought spinners will bag most wickets, that itself a proof of skill levels.

Mukesh is an excellent bowler but as I said previously he is a wrong pick for this venue, and he has no job to do and he got hit by the openers and his lack of pace is the reason why batsmen choose him to attack.

He became the third youngest India batter to get his double century. Before him Sachin and Shastri hot thier double hundred in test cricket at a young age.

Where do you get this from? They showed Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar as first two.

Yes, Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar still holds the respective position and he became the third youngest Indian better to score double ton in the test format.

Again Bumrah pulled things off and very good support from Kuldeep now put India in a commanding position but Stokes hanging around there hope Indian bowlers will dismiss soon to keep things great or he is a capable batter to score big daddy hundreds too.

Edit: Bumrah bowled Stokes too in the very next ball I posted this.

England wrapped up Indian batting line-up just before the lunch and thanks to the old fox who used his experience to take wickets when pitch is not offering much for his bowling. If we remove Jaiswal's score from Indian score board all the 10 players contributed less than half than he scored.

Now, Englishmen is blowing punches back and they are doing it very fast, India need couple of wickets to control their innings or else this lineup is ready for long innings too. Kuldeep got a wicket but Ash created few chances already and this session may decide how this match turns out to be.
324  Local / India / Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 02, 2024, 06:19:54 PM
Some of you may have already received the official announcement from the Paytm itself regarding their closure of Banking service today, but RBI issued a ban on their license a couple of days ago due to persistent non-compliance and significant supervisory concerns. But the news not yet reached to all the users.

So you guys, if you have any balance left if your Paytm bank balance then just withdraw them ASAP, don't wait till the deadline because we never know Paytm actually have enough money to settle all the payments when everyone starts withdrawing their balance.

paytm wallet will not affect due to this RBI decision, and you can also keep using their UPI channel to receive funds to your bank accounts.

You can see all the affected service in this news : RBI orders halt on Paytm Payments bank transactions: How will customers be affected?

I have a bad feeling that this series is going to end a couple of careers or at least they'll be dropped or might discover a niggle/back spasm soon (unofficial definition of drop from the team). lol

Just be straight and say the names bro. Cheesy

Gill and Iyer are at their verge of their test career, one more inning ahead of them to save their progress and I believe this won't affect the white ball career but definitely a lot of players are in the competition with good domestic records to finds an opportunity and this might be the chance to bring new talents to the red ball format if the existing players fail.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 02, 2024, 03:41:49 PM
Some might say that India has put 300+ runs on the board and looking okay but I believe India are in big trouble overall be it this test match or test series. Considering the injuries and Virat's unavailability and top of that every top order batter decided to go out of form in the same series. If we leave Jaiswal who was brilliant, it was a pathetic day for the Indian batters IMO.

England would be the happy side tonight because they got the 6 wickets and mind you, the first inning par score is here 450-ish and India are 1 wicket away from its tail.

Still, I don't understand why team management added one extra bowler when one of your premium all-rounder is not available to play. Gill probably has one more inning to bring his form, or he will be dropped and need to find his spot again with other performances.

Everybody had a start but none of them converted which is a worrying sign and this is what will happen when we have an inexperienced team.

At the time of tea, India were in really strong position but losing three wickets in the session 3 changed the way.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 02, 2024, 09:08:19 AM
Gill had decent start and We know the ability of Rohit sharma so I won't blame them as long as they can perform as a team and start winnings. As of now Jaiswal is looking strong and cruising towards his ton, hope he can survive the 90s with some patience. Iyer looks not comfortable, but he is hanging there, team India is at good position now and if they can play at this same rate until tea hen score will get near 200.

Today is the second test match of India vs England, and again Indian team is losing at this time but if Virat Kohli had been there so he could have made runs and led their team to win but BCCI didn't want he will play, and they also can't reject him from squad otherwise people stop to watch cricket so that's why they slowly finish his cricket and when the world cup comes so maybe they kept him in reserve or didn't pick him and about this matter, BCCI met with him and on that meeting, we can think that he will not a part of next World Cup maybe.

As you said India can make 200 runs, making 200 runs in the test match won't be enough but Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing well, and India will make a decent score. The Indian last wicket of Shubman Gill fell on 89 runs and from that point onwards we are seeing a very good partnership. Shreyas Iyer is playing slowly at 22 but he is giving good support to Jaiswal who is making all the runs for the Indian team at the moment, and he is near to his century.

It's Virat decision to take a break from the two tests for personal reasons and he did same in the previous weeks too, so the accusation of team doesn't want Virat to play is just absturd.

I said India will score 200 at the end of the session, and as I said they crossed 200 now another partnership is building up between Jaiswal and Patidar and both batsmen looks solid in defence while keep scoring runs with some attacking shots which is good to watch. 400 is on the scorecard now.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 02, 2024, 07:37:06 AM
India has 3 changes today, unfortunately none about Gill and Iyer.

Patidar replaces Rahul, Kuldeep replaces Jadeja — they didn't replace all-rounder with an all-rounder despite Sundar being available which is surprising and Siraj has been replaced with Mukesh Kumar.
Rohit Sharma dismissed.
Subman Gill dismissed.

Mr Captain, Again failed. The two top batsmen Rohit Sharma and Subman Gill proved themselves to be failures again. Rohit Sharma has been consistently underperforming and Subman Gill did not perform well in the first innings in the second Test as well.
There was no need to replace Ravindra Jadeja but can Kuldeep Yadav complete the duties of Ravindra Jadeja.

~snip`.

Siraj didn't do anything that costed India the match, it wasn't his day and didn't get any wicket but it was alright, it was largely batters fault and had India won the test we wouldn't be arguing about Siraj here at all. You can argue same about Bumrah too that his place could have been also offered to spinners but you don't cause he took wickets. Had Siraj was the one who got wicket and Bumrah came out empty ended, I'm sure you would be saying Bumrah's spot was waste.

I don't think you can blame Siraj for Jadeja's injury either, these things just happen, look at KL Rahul, he was included in squad as sole batter, he had no wicket keeping duty in the game, yet he was injured.
True, in hindsight, one can argue many reasons for the defeat but the main reason was a timid approach from the Indians. India has won plenty of matches where 2-3 bowlers were underbowled be it seamer or even in some cases spinners.

- Poor and defensive captaincy from Rohit.
- Batters throwing away their wickets in the first inning, we shouldn't forget 5 batters got out slogging. When you score 80 ish runs then batters should target for daddy 100s and not throw away wickets and in the second inning they went into shells.
- for a change Likes of Ashwin-Jadeja-Axar got outplayed by Pope. Poor fielding and bad captaincy did play a major part but there is no shame in accepting that they were outplayed and that's why test cricket is tough.

I won't rate the performance is poor. Yes India took defensive approach because that is what the mental stress when you have a target to reach and the performance from Pope shifted the momentum which disturbed the mindset too in my opinion. Well, this is a historic match and there is no fun if India win all the matches they play in their country. Smiley

Tomorrow, the actual test begins because of unavailability of three consistent performers and also eager too know India will continue to give chances to Gill then what is the point of other players who is doing extraordinary in their Ranji and waiting for an opportunity to showcase their skills.

Does India already have merit sources? If not, perhaps you can contact one of the merit sources to help your local board.
Two, if I am not mistaken, not publicly known but speculated.

Not just speculation, Heisenberg_Hunter himself announced that he was added to the merit source list with decent amount of merit allocation in his merit application thread.

Heisenberg's Merit Source Application for the Indian Board

But is he still a merit source? That he only can answer.

BTW are you Indian? If so feel free to post in my welcome thread, which has gone inactive.

He is from Indonesia which he mentioned in his post and I wonder how he find this thread. Wink
331  Local / India / Re: Which Country has the Highest Crypto Tax Rate and Which does not? on: February 01, 2024, 04:10:31 PM
I was going through the per capita income of Indians according to the state. Goa has the highest per capita income for 2021 which was above 4 lac and Bihar is the lowest which was 43k. A big deficit in earning capabilities between the two states, but the tax slab is the same for every Indian living in these two states. This is why you would find more Biharis working outside their home state as their earning are not sufficient in their home to survive every month.

Per capita income is just bullshit to me, because it is just an average value that represent the reality especially in our country where the financial gap between rich and poor is too wide than anywhere. Goa has the highest per capita just because the number of population is small.

In India, we can see every extreme, one can survive a day even with 100 rupees with 3 complete meals and also one can spend as much as they want with no limit and this is applicable to every state but the ruling government play and their policy towards employment creating plays important role in elevating the standard of life of the working class but sadly the system favors the rich people and the higher population makes the competition difficulty which let the one who is hiring the employees to exploit their hard work for very little salary.

I understand your frustration, and it is really hard when you give all the effort to make this place better, but the end result still looks same or even getting worse. But I am just trying to be optimistic even though I can be wrong, but I am not going to lose hope no matter what, I will keep contributing as much as I can, so I can say that I tried and failed which is better than backing out. But if boycotting is your decision then I respect that and no further argument.

All around the forum, not many forum members are technically knowledge about bitcoin even some of the most recognized members are not having deep knowledge about everything, and it's okay because everyone is here to learn something from others. Getting accepted into campaigns may have multiple factors which includes number of merits received in 120 days that depends on how active their merit sources are and how many active members they have which will keep circulating the numbers but as of now Indian board is having hardly around 15 active members and none of them are merit sources or having huge chunk of sMerits to spend.

And I just want to remind that all our efforts to keep the board active not went in vain, in Jan 2023 we were the least performing local board and made only 50 posts and sitting at the bottom of the table but in Dec 2023 we made around 260 posts and sitting at the sixth place from the bottom, climbing up 5 position is hell of an achievement with the very little resource we have.

333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 01, 2024, 07:53:30 AM
The squad played for India has complete batsmen upto no.9 who can play the authentic test cricket which including 3 best of current all rounders that gave the convenience of having two proper pacers who may need to do the job if the spin is not working as expected but it's not Siraj fault but he haven't been utilised properly so he totally bowled around 10 overs in both the innings.

Personally I prefer Siraj to play because his agression is positive thing to have in test format and you know what I am saying if you're a fan of test cricket when Kohli was the captain.

It was a tactical blunder to include Siraj in the first test. Not only did he failed to contribute, but also his presence increased the workload on the spinners (Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel). And this is one of the reasons why Jadeja got injured and had to be ruled out of the second test. England did the right thing, by including just Mark Wood as the pacer. When you are preparing a track that is tailor-made for the spinners, I don't understand the point in including two pacers in the bowling lineup.

Jadeja injured while he was batting and he bowled around 30 overs in the previous day which can't be an issue in terms of workload. One pace attack is never needed when 3 of your spinners is complete batsmen. Mark wood struggled and he did nothing because of the one pace attack and this pitch is traditional sub continent pitch not a complete turner that is why you saw Bumrah got more wickets in 3rd innings.

The second test will be really crucial for India and it is going to be challenging because Kohli, Jaddu, KL will not be playing and Gill and Iyer is completely out of form so who is going to play the long innings?

India should understand the importance of pujara and Rahane like players now. Atleast the replacement players is in good form hope they will play instead of Iyer and Gill or it's a big gamble.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 31, 2024, 06:57:32 PM

I agree about Mohammad Siraj because they have few choices which can bat well and also able to bowl 10 to 15 overs without any problem but here now we have to understand selectors were too much overconfident about their team, and they were also taking England very lightly which bring them down at this level, and they faced this unexpected defeat in this first test match only Bumrah were enough for the bowling and any batting all-rounder can bring better result.

In batting Virat Kohli's absence is also hurting badly with things could be more troubled in coming match as they will miss KL Rahul and now voices are rising about Gill's spot in test as well because he consistently fails in this format which is also problem so now they have to do things carefully.

335  Local / India / Re: Which Country has the Highest Crypto Tax Rate and Which does not? on: January 31, 2024, 05:36:46 PM
I am finding varied tax rate on every article I read from the internet, so I don't really know what are the actual tax rates in those countries but I know crypto tax in Japan and Canada are high but it is not limited to crypto currency alone, almost they have 50% tax rate which varies based on many criteria. And the one country is not available in the picture is US, they have huge crypto tax rate too just like what we have here and more articles mentioned US have tax rate of 30 to 37% on cryptos.

High tax rate is not really a problem as long as government is spending the collected tax for the development of citizens but as Indian I know most of the tax collected not spent properly and moreover politicians loot more than half just in the form of commission alone on multiple levels.

^^ Jaiswal playing defensively was a surprise but he should get the benefit of the doubt because he's a young batsman and someone from the management likely Dravid-Rohit told him to play carefully.

But my disappointment is with the Iyer. In the first inning, he threw away his wicket out of boredom, and in 2nd inning looked like a fish out of the water. He's supposed to be India's best batter of spin and the irony is that he is our best bat against spin, even on rank turner but jeez he looked hopeless and pathetic.

Regarding Gill, well he's just out of form and management needs to think about it.

Why Jaiswal and Hitman can't find boundaries like they did in first inning is because of excellent field placement from Stokes and he even mentioned in the post match presentation and he keen on watching the field placement from Rohit and followed it in the second innings. They challenged openers with long on and off and hit over them for six that's not the case in the first innings.

Iyer playing too defensive was also shocking to me, I thought he is gonna counter-attack the spin bowling, but he went into defensive shell and I am not sure its tactical advice from management or he decided on his own.

Both Iyer and Gill got very less figures in their 10 innings which should be addressed in second game and I expect atleast one change from the above two.
338  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 28, 2024, 12:53:15 PM
I was sure that this match won't go beyond day 3 but thanks to Ollie Pope for his unbeaten 148 and still look solid at the crease with their tails who are capable of hanging in the crease longer so even if the manage to bat for the first session they will take a lead over 230 but also the possibility to lose remaining 4 wickets like what happened today.

You were a little wrong with your prediction it went on for the fourth day and India lost. What a disastrous batting by the Indian team, they were not able to chase such a low target of 230 runs. These are the players who are known for their batting and they get paid so well by the BCCI and still, they cannot bat on their pitch. I do not know what happened today. Was it a bad track to bat? Was it bad batting? Or was it brilliant bowling by Hartley? Four more games left in this series and Kohli won't be available for the next two.

Indian batting order collapsed which I agree, but this is not very easy track to bat on, typical subcontinent test pitch on day 4 the scoring will be low, but India went too defensive after Jaiswal and Gill wickets. They should attacked here and there and if the scoreboard were ticking the bowlers will be forced to change their strategy but what happened today exactly what England wanted to happen.

I won't lose my hope and this team can win the remaining 4 matches in this series if they played well but they underestimated England and that is why the batting collapsed in the first place.

About Gill, I completely agree, he had been rewarded enough chances in test matches and he didn't score even one 40+ score in the last 12 innings and surely Patidar should take over that place in Test no.2.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 28, 2024, 12:39:04 PM
Today, Two back to back great matches on very same day and I want to say Test cricket peaked.

Windies broke the fortress Gabba against very strong opponents. But the great drama is Eng vs India, England won the match by 28 runs after giving lead of 190 runs to India in the first innings.

Ollie Pope played greatest test innings from a visiting nation in the modern era and contributed two catches at silly point and the heavily criticized debutant Hartley came back and came back hard in the second innings by taking 7 wickets and conceding only 62 runs in 26 overs. Indian lower order fought really hard after the top order collapse but couldn't get through in the final stage.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 28, 2024, 07:04:43 AM
England inning finally comes to an end with 230 run lead, Ollie Pope goes last at 196 with rather unnecessary shot, I mean all shots that player gets out can be called unnecessary, but the back swoop he tried to play was completely avoidable.

From looks of it i'm drifting towards India to win this match, if England can get early wickets, we'll see interesting chase.

Pope created some history today at India which is good to see, I didn't expect they will dominate the first session entirely and also their tai supported very well to reach this stage. Bumrah the man showed what he can do with his skill irrespective of pitch condition and he should be recognized more for his consistent performance in India and away series and he is one of the reason why India started dominating in away series.

I hope this is an easy chase for India but England's spin bowling got better from first innings which is good for the remaining test matches.

26/0, India needs 205 to win this match.
