321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I learned something new from Bitcoin today on: March 29, 2024, 11:43:37 PM

Should you see gambling for a means to earn, you would be doing it wrong. Even worst still, having to take money from an investment to gamble with it, that would be a robbing Peter to pay Paul sort of scenario and both ends in gross lose.  A practice that shouldn’t be condoned by anyone.

Firstly, gambling and investing are two different fields and that is when you ain’t the CEO of the gambling site or platform. It might have some rewarding power for risk taken but, it ain’t analytical like an investment or tracing is and as such, they don’t really come into context but,
should you be looking to choose between them both, your emotions should lead the way. When your about fun, clearly it’s gambling but, when your about saving your future, investing is what you should be doing.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 29, 2024, 11:29:40 PM
Crypto has been known for anonymity. During the early stage, we like to promote it using the words "decentralized" and "anonymous ", and it's the main reason why a lot of gamblers have chosen to gamble using crypto to gain full privacy, but it seems like things have really change a lot now as gamblers are looking for a casino that are licensed while some casinos who promotes anonymous gambling eventually act like a fiat casino that requires KYC.

What do you think about this one, where is are we heading? And can we still consider crypto casino different from fiat casino?
Cryptocurrency users happens to be one of the most concerned persons about their identity and how they let it out to a third party site. This has become a prerequisite about the space and what most gamblers do enjoy in the space.

Unfortunately, KYC has been some need to do requirement by most gambling casinos or sportsbook, it’s either required during the registration, in cases of big wins and cases of irregularities in the activities from your account. As terrifying as it could look to the gamblers, your likely to do that at some point and that’s the more reason why, you should be gambling with a well trusted sportsbook or casino.
Hence, in the event that this is required, you’ll be cool having to provide these KYC documents depending on what’s at stake and should there be no other means.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: March 29, 2024, 11:21:21 PM
If you are interested in gambling on sports, do you rely on prediction betting sites? Why?
What is the most prominent site you rely on?
I gamble the sportsbook industry very often and I must say, it’s a very interesting place to gamble given the fact that, it’s not entirely luck as, how well you know the game and the gambling market plays a role to your analysis on what is possible and what could be considered isn’t. Actually, all outcomes remain a likely possibility in a game  till the final whistle.

I don’t rely on prediction sites for anything, I know the game to a considerable level to come up with my own predictions and it’s the only prediction I could entirely trust. I might review which ever prediction sites if it agrees with what am predicting. When it doesn’t, I see reasons to look at the game more critically and from a different angle otherwise, I proceed to take a bet. That’s the most prediction sites could do for me, a reconfirmation purpose but, I just don’t go down that way though.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 11:11:53 PM
Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.
It’s not out of place that you tend to question the process when you’re at a loosing end, it just means you’re human. Supposing you were winning, am sure you would have had no reason to think differently.

The only time you hit it wrong was going all in. That and chasing your gambling losses have got some tight similarity. You always tend to try a recovery of all your gambling misfortune for that gambling session at a single get but, the reality is, the game remains both ways and you could still lose everything.
There are a lot of trusted casinos out here, I promote one in my signature, try it out for fairness but, ensure your gambling responsibly.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: How does one know and join the right community after a job loss? on: March 28, 2024, 11:47:57 PM
Working a job alone already has its own set of pressure. As a smart person, when you know your working for someone or you know there is a figure above you whose actions can affect you greatly, you need to feel the threat and realize that, things could go sideways at whichever time and when your not prepared for it, you would be hurt in the worst possible way. This should tell you that, you need to have your own thing going where you would be the boss and what you say goes. You don’t need to wait until your laid off your job before you start harnessing your skills, you harness it when you find it. If you were yet to find it before loosing your job, then the pressure that comes with loosing your job should aid you find it.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 11:40:45 PM
Wins and losses are common in gambling. Losing a bet creates a lot of human stress for many gamblers because there are many gamblers who bet such money that they cannot afford to lose.
What am about to say applies more to those in the lower and middle class very often. Most times when you find those within this social status gambling more than they can afford to loss, it’s probably because they’ve got plans of what they could do with the win money and as such, they’ve taken a step to go for less risk but more stakes. This would be some means to bring themselves closer to winning but in reality, the game could always play either ways.
In the event of a loss, you could imagine just how broken such individuals would be. More frustrated than you came. A lot of people have found themselves in a suicidal position with that. Loosing is never easy to get used to or suck up and as such, you need some know how at the game to leverage for your advantage.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: March 28, 2024, 11:33:22 PM
Does gambling needs experience or anyone +18, even the inexperienced one can also play? Though playing gamble has a limited age grade or age bracket and the accepted is from  +18 years and there are some casinos hall at the door post, it is written clearly that it is only people of +18 can play.
In nations where there regulations stipulates 18years of age and above to be a legal gambling age, your more than licensed to patronize the industry but, it doesn’t mean that, anyone within this age grade or circle should gamble. Everyone don’t deserve or should be gambling and this is as a result of the various ways in which gambling can affect you and you just might not be able to take it. It’s not always rosy about gambling, in fact, you’ll find more of the opposite than the later.

Someone that has got no job or source of income have got little room for gambling, such persons shouldn’t gamble. When you don’t have a heart to endure losses, you’ve got no place for gambling, it would subdue you and that is some terrible feeling.
Also, if your the type that could easily get addicted and have got no means to control once you develop a bad habit, then gambling isn’t for you as well.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 28, 2024, 11:24:06 PM
There's no such thing as a mistake in gambling because it's all abstract anyway, or in other words you'll never know what makes you win and what makes you lose, so there's no mistake but carelessness because I'm sure you wouldn't say it was a mistake if your session ended up winning, would you? And there is a possibility for you to try it again because you might think that "it seems like the right action to bring victory" and all that is said is that the mistake in gambling is when you break the rules that you have made yourself intentionally, and also losing happens not because you made a mistake but this is what is called gambling activity.
Well, I think this is subject to context.
There are context in which you might approach the topic and it would seem so, that there are no mistakes. For example; if we were to look at it on the bases of how a person makes his or her analysis to predict the result of a game. Mistakes could very much come in play here as greed could push you from what is plausible based on available statistics to focus on the gains by taking more risk.

If we are to consider a context where, we put gambling habits or behaviors to the forefront, you would find that several gamblers cultivate behaviors that could only earn them more losses and that in itself is a mistake that gamblers make. Most of them know this but, it’s just way too difficult to not chase your loss.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 28, 2024, 11:13:49 PM
I recently self excluded myself from a casino and I think it another form of restrictions but this time its self restrictions,  but the aspect of being restricted by the casino, I haven't experience such before and all the casinos that I have accounts on have never restricted before.
I don’t think that counts, really. Should you have stopped gambling, I would say you just started a step to fighting addiction and would have been a nice one but, this is you just finding a better alternative, isn’t okay with some of their policies and platform functions. I wouldn’t call that a restriction, just change of priority.

Meanwhile, I haven’t had myself restricted from any physical (local) gambling house before, I was well within age grade when I started gambling and haven’t fault the rules at any particular time. For the online Casinos or gambling platform, same applies and am cool with my practices so far.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: March 27, 2024, 11:41:22 PM
I believe that from a bettor's point of view, having the bet almost being finalized and selling it to someone else to take the risk is not all bad.  Since it only comes out with an advantage, this bet will certainly be sold for a fair price
The bet was sold for a cash out price but, it wasn’t a bad choice on the part of both gamblers. Now the gambler yo have sold the bet slip just couldn’t take it no more and was filled with anxiety to take his profit but still, didn’t want to do that and let it all go back to the gambling site and chose to share the risk with his friend. I suppose should the bet has gone side ways, he would have as well compensated his friend but, fair enough it didn’t and it was a win-win situation for both parties.

I prefer to see my bets to the end though, that’s the type of gambler I am and whatever results of it, I learn to do proper analysis next time but, cash out haven’t been much of a lesson for me.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: March 27, 2024, 11:30:53 PM
I think one of the mistakes gamblers often make is believing that you could win the house. This is a no, it doesn’t happen. Yeah, you could win few rounds and in times like this, it’s good you look for the exit or sign out but, continuing with the hope that, your going to beat the house would be a way to return your winnings back to the house and if time isn’t taken, you might as well add some funds of your own to be at a disadvantage. Losses aren’t easily avoidable and it’s almost a must happen in gambling but, it could be reduced by working on your gambling habit.
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum deposit on: March 27, 2024, 11:10:08 PM
That's one of many ways for centralized exchange to take customer coins legally, the best is to avoid CEX.
My focus here is about the legally!

Maybe they might have a term that justify their change of policy to be general accepted and effected from the moment it was enacted.
What I fined really disturbing is when they update these policies and don’t care to send a mail or give a period of grace for these adjustments to be made. It’s just so wrong of CEX and it’s one way to steal user’s Bitcoin. There isn’t any two ways about that, when you still either by policy creation, it’s still stealing and illegal.
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: March 27, 2024, 10:46:46 PM
Should you be out here hoping someone would advice you to sell off all your hodlings with hopes of starting some other investment and perhaps reinvest in Bitcoin later on in the future, you would be looking in the wrong place.
Don’t forget, Bitcoin it in itself an investment as well as a currency. So,

So in actual, what you’re proposing is that, you want to end one investment just to jump into another investment filled with uncertainties… is that it?

It doesn’t make sense to me. That would be a poor way to make a decision. In your bid to increase and solve problems, you try not to off any stream of income and this right now would be laying off your Bitcoin investment.

Diversification is good practice but, your not diversifying when you loss another stream of income. Best thing to do would be that, you sell just a part of your portfolio and startup a properly researched business. That would help you more.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is the language here different from what we use in the real world on: March 27, 2024, 10:43:26 AM
Good day to you all,  straight to the point.
Why is the terms, words and some sentences that are made in bitcointalk seems different and strange to newbies like me to understand, some time I have to do extra search to be able to comprehend some comments here this question have being disturbing me for sometime now. I have decide to voice it out,  because the fear of being unable to communicate in the acceptable manner in this forum have limit my engagement in some topic of discussions I fine interesting most times.
Your user name is coined with WH questions so, sure you would ask why from time to time, lol…

Anyway, that shouldn’t surprise you, not at all. Even in the real world you exists in, should you go to a different community, you’re sure to be introduced to different words, terminology and language. It’s just normal for engineers, doctors, lawyers, architects, archaeologists and many of those fields have different terms to go by.

Should you join here and hope to not be met by some terms that would push you into doing further research is a misconception. Don’t be shy about doing the work, you’ll get better as you go and it distinguishes you in a way based on this filed which you’ve now identified with.
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: March 25, 2024, 09:52:49 PM
Initially, I was to think merit is by chance ( i.e something that will just happen) or lengthy article ( i.e writing too many paragraphs and the rest of them), but I have come to realize that, it is more than that.
I have being discouraged several times because of my numerous posts and replies yet no merit then. Even now, some times I use to be discourage. However, the only way to get merit is by posting quality article ( that is what determines merit) which almost everybody is aware of now.
In summary, don't look at the quantity of post you have make so far but instead try to adjust, I mean improve in your posts, above all be consistent and patient that is the key.
Okay, haven’t come to this conclusion,

Do you call this a quality post?

I don’t know what you did intend to archive with this thread but, it’s so generic and have been seen one two many times. Come on, you could actually develop a thread more than you’ve done here. Perhaps merit isn’t given by the length of a post, there have been one liner post that made so much sense to be given the highest number of merits that could be given at any given one time in a month.  That doesn’t neglect the fact that, at times,

Your creativity needs to be seen in your write up too,
The length you go to state facts,
The time you put into your thread creation,
Your interest in what is been projected in your thread with respect to it’s relevance,
Your articulation and how you present your arguments and postulates,
And more of those…

It takes time for sure but, you get to learn these and more from users here, build on them and improve them. You wouldn’t struggle so much to come to certain realization while walking your Bitcoin journey.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 25, 2024, 09:41:07 PM
If anyone still thinks Bitcoin  is a scam and depending only on fiat currencies then he or she is a slave to fiat system and believe  it or not Fiat is brain rot.
There are so many things these peoples  must understand  to know why they are really  a slave to the fiat system.

I don’t even care much on what people believe to be their reality of Bitcoin. When you find someone who is so firm on what he or she thinks he knows and even you approach is met with a strong resistance should you even try, I leave it to them and don’t care even less. It is their reality and you don’t owe it to anyone to persuade them to see through your lenses because they wouldn’t.
In fact, they would see it for a calculated attempt to scam them and worst still, should they see their coins dumped if they bought, should they misplace/forget their private key, should they be phished, should an exchange go wrong on them and the many other things that could result in lost of investment. Then you would have brought their fears to life and they have you to blame for it.
It’s just a best idea to let them be in their vague idea of safety. It works for them and so, it’s good for them.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profiting from BTC: just luck? on: March 25, 2024, 09:25:23 PM
The beauty of Bitcoin is that if you believe in it, you can only profit over time.  If you jump in just to make money, you usually buy the top and sell at a loss.  With even a few minutes of research you should be able to identify the price cycle and if you have any sense and patience, it should be extremely easy to profit from Bitcoin.  It's literally the most simple asset to trade I've ever seen.
Obviously, little wonder why it’s viewed by most for a get rich quick innovation. That’s because, some of the guys that were hooked up early eventually found themselves in a moonshine with later adopters hoping for the same and ignoring the time it took and having to be a genesis player to what you never knew (for some) could be this important.

Most of it is already mined but the adoption of it is still very minimal which means, the in circulation would continue to create value and that is where buying where you find it would make a lot of sense. Meanwhile, you treat it for an asset by not selling just because of the least profit or you hope to realize what you can of it. It’s an asset of the time and if any one treats it more like it, that’s someone that is sure to see it’s dividends.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 25, 2024, 07:59:45 PM
Manchester City - Arsenal, less than a week to go... What do you say for this game? Do you believe Manchester City will manage to win this time after a draw against Liverpool?
We are approaching the end of the season and from few seasons ago, we are well aware of how Arsenal have been terrible in these times. The rest of EPL knows that and would be looking to capitalize on any fault in the team to kick in this syndrome once more. The bad news is, Arsenal this season and at this time seems to be at the top of there game, producing lots of goals in there fixtures and it’s very unlikely that they would be going down this season, worst still, to Manchester City.
I don’t like making predictions on games like this because, it’s got a lot of deciding about it and it’s approached differently by both sides but, I do think Arsenal could actually win this. Perhaps they don’t but, I don’t see them loosing either.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Betting Exchanges and Sportsbooks Which has a Profit Potential? on: March 23, 2024, 12:26:12 PM

I suppose this is mainly for those that own or are in some partnership with these organizations to give you the actual detail on what it entails.

One thing is for sure, your bond to make money in either of the investment. While you might have to pay some as retina in terms of winnings and promotions, the other you might have no need to pay out nothing rather than paying for promotions and the projects you might run for the business.

If I were to give an opinion, I would say gambling platforms remains some of the best. You get paid on losses, you’re sure to get patronage should your site gain a lot of publicity and it’s trusted. Meanwhile, a lot of persons are into gambling in recent times.
340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A curious Newbie!! on: March 22, 2024, 11:36:30 PM
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie with crypto knowledge though. I'm here to network. I see some beautiful profiles with lots of merits and I'm interested in being like that someday. How can that be achieved? Is it like a gift or something.. pls help 😎
If you like to see it for a gift, then to you it’s always going to be a gift but in reality, it’s just a tool to appreciate what could be seen as quality post, to promote quality post and to ensure spammers see the need to stop spamming while being more involved positively on the forum.

It’s a good thing you’re not coming on here bare and have got some knowledge about Bitcoin and the Cryptocurrency technology. It is what this space is about and having to share it, share what you know, drop update on happenings in the cryptospace from time to time, being articulate and constructive in your presentation, you would find yourself building a nice profile here over time.
