321  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Running a full node is starting to be a pain on: September 02, 2014, 07:15:49 PM
Not that im aware of, there are multiple websites that have all that information available freely without having to download anything.
You could also just switch to paypal and avoid all the complexity of that fussy Bitcoin stuff. Since you're apparently happy to trust oft-anonymous oft-judgement proof parties, paypal would likely be a big security upgrade too.

it doesn't seem right for a core developer to recommend paypal over bitcoin

I was looking at the services in the ANN and noticed that AltAccept.com doesn't accept CRD anymore.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do average people run full nodes on: September 01, 2014, 08:45:30 PM
Full nodes aren't for average users. Most average users that are running the reference client actually harm the network.

99.9% of the people should stick with a light version as their wallet and never care about how the network works.

I agree that thin clients are much better for 99.9% of people. I think that is clear and also intended considering it was in the Satoshi's white paper as well.

But I'm not clear on how an average user running bitcoinqt actually harms the network. How so?

Because they don't open all the necessary ports to run a full node and so they end up being leechers slowing down the hole network.

what are the correct ports to open? That will up the connections from about 8 to many more correct?

Start tweeting to c-cex, bittrex and poloniex if you want to get credits to a bigger exchange Smiley

Bittrex charges 2-5 BTC to get listed. That's reality.

through coin voting or what?
328  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multi-sig transactions with more than three signers? on: July 20, 2014, 10:22:31 PM
Am I right that Bitcoin is capped at 3 multi-sig signers or is it possible to do multi-sig with more than 3 signers?

Maybe even something external to source code like 3 groups of 3 signers all sign together and create their own key, meaning you'd need 9 signers.. or something like this?  I'm guessing no, but just wondering.

Thanks.

how do you set up multi-sigs within bitcoin?

just edited the ANN:  Write a Manual see details -> http://pastebin.com/vdYqkB9N 2000 CRD

I didn't see anything in bounties. Maybe we can get it added to the list.

as much as i know they are working on a very big wide spread giveaway, in form of paper wallet on streets, check the ANN bounties section

Is there a way to make a paper wallet for Credits?

Can I still claim the manual for the paper wallet?

331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to convert PayPal to Bitcoin on: July 18, 2014, 09:57:06 AM
Virwox accepts paypal, but there are big fees. but if paypal is your only way it will work.

Make an account at virwox.com,  you will buy SSL (Linden Dollars) then convert that to btc so the process goes like this

USD/SSL then
SSL/BTC

thats how you can safely buy btc with paypal.

thanks, I did it last night and it worked perfect
