322  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To hate Islam... on: July 30, 2014, 10:27:27 AM
But why pick on or single out Islam? It's when you do that people may start to think you're a racist or islamaphobe or whatever. Christianity has a darker history than probably any other religion. Christian fundamentalists probably kill more people than islam does as well, they just do it with bombs and other such measures.
323  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Lottery Free Tickets TO FIRST 10 MEMBERS! (2/10) Members! on: July 30, 2014, 10:23:24 AM
How would you know they were participating? They would use an alt/dupe account. And you can do trades in the Marketplace. Buy things, sell things, offer loans, re-pay loans, provide services etc etc.

Ok. Took my first step paid 1 of my referrals.

Who is your referral? And arent you going to be losing money if you're giving out free tickets? Has anyone bought on yet?
324  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $100 Starbucks Cards for $45! Trusted! Accepting BTC and Venmo. Paypal Soon. on: July 30, 2014, 10:20:41 AM
More errors with paypal! Sad

What happened? Did you get a chargeback? There are ways to get around this. Use a fresh paypal address and send the funds to your main one asap. If you get a chargeback dump that address and use a new fresh one.
325  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is More Evil? on: July 30, 2014, 10:17:06 AM
Islamic Militants.

Should never be ok to go after civilian and use their own for human shield.

Don't believe the propoganda you see or read in western media. The're not using civilians as human shields. Isreal are using civilians as target practice then blame the muslims.
326  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-30] Dutch easyHotel Franchisee Accepts Bitcoin for Room Reservations on: July 30, 2014, 09:40:32 AM
Is easyhotels from the same company as easyjet? If so i wonder if their airline business will start accepting bitcoins. That would be huge.
327  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-30] ZipZap Raises $1.1 Million to Grow Global Bitcoin Payments Network on: July 30, 2014, 09:38:22 AM
Already we have two major Bitcoin-based payment processors (Bitpay and Coinbase) and many minor ones. I don't think that the new processor will be able to compete with them. Sorry to say this, but they are late.

I agree. It's a good idea, but I can't see many people going to buy or sell their coins this way, but maybe I'm wrong. The one good thing about zip zap is the sheer number of locations but I still think you have to use an exchange with the  service as well so you can just cut out the middleman of zip zap any way.
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Mt.Gox....No Willy bot....No moon! on: July 30, 2014, 09:32:46 AM
Your mistake is thinking Gox was such a big influence for Bitcoin.

Gox prospered because of Bitcoin, not the other way around.

If it wasn't Gox, it would have been some other exchange. As long as Bitcoin continues to function properly, people will use it because of it's properties. As long as people continue to use it, there will be a market. As long as there is a market, there will be speculators. And so on.

But it looked like the shady dealings over at gox did cause or at least contribute to the price spikes. That's not to say that bitcoin wont rise again in the future. I think it will but hopefully itll be a more slow and steady natural growth this time. Only time will tell.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin overcome the actual currency? will the wolrd bank allow it? on: July 30, 2014, 09:20:19 AM
It doesnt even matter whether some government officially recognizes it as legal tender. It's a currency and people are using it so we don't need their consent. If people believe it has worth and is a currency then it is one. Let the people decide, not corrupt governments.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is a smaller block time worse ? on: July 30, 2014, 09:17:50 AM
It's my understanding that in order to successfully double spend you need to be able to mine your own block. And shorter block times makes that alot easier to do. So 10 min block time makes it very hard to double spend in bitcoin.

Yeh, a shorter time isn't safer and is easier to be exploited, though many alt coiners don't realise this. The time it takes to process transactions or get confirmations really isnt a problem and is there to safeguard users and strengthen the system.
331  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: ★★[35+ TRUST!] BUYING BTC (PAYPAL MP, WU, PRE-PAID CC, CASH DEPOSIT + MORE!) ★★ on: July 30, 2014, 09:11:04 AM
I would say just to be careful when dealing with members who advertise their positive trust rating. Remember that it is always important to use escrow.

If he has lots of positive feedback of course he is going to state so, though he also states he will use escrow, so I don't see what the problem here is.
332  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Job on: July 30, 2014, 09:05:33 AM
You need to post this over in the Marketplace section. You can offer various services there. There's also a page on reddit. Search jobsforbitcoin or something.
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Bitcoin would you like to have at the end of 2015? on: July 30, 2014, 09:03:50 AM
I would like to have as much as I can possibly get or earn. I'd like to own 10 bitcoins by 2015 but I don't know if I'll have that many realistically. I buy 0.1 bitcoins a week as an investment and also try earn them in other ways like signature deal etc. I might try sell some things on the marketplace here and also cryptothrift.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest Way to send and purchase bitcoin, fast! on: July 30, 2014, 09:01:34 AM
There's a typo in your name lol. Do you have any reviews or vouches from anyone? Hard to trust these sort of sites that just spring up.
335  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature & Personal MSG Campaign ★☆★ Newb,jr,mem Ref Bonus 10%! on: July 29, 2014, 02:48:23 PM
He's sometimes late with payments. They're often delayed in his other giveaway thread. Just give him time.

I don't know what is wrong, day are running any no payment made yet !!

You don't have the signature or did you remove it?

Is this actually worth it? like are people actually making good money from signature campaigns?

Of course its worth it. You can make a nice little bit of coin for something you would do any way, but I don't think you could make a living off of it.
336  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [BUY] Want to buy a Member Account/Senior Member account on: July 29, 2014, 02:39:08 PM
Yea I think you'd be better off doing that. You could probably buy two Snr members for the price of a Hero and Hero's dont get much more than Snrs on signature deals anyhow. There's plenty of people selling lower ranked accounts here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=704370.0 That guy has both.
337  Bitcoin / Press / Re: (2014-07-28) CD: Coinapult Launches LOCKS, a Tool to Eliminate Bitcoin Price Vol on: July 29, 2014, 02:36:18 PM
Oh, so they don't actually hold the btc, just the cash value of it you put in? If so, that does seem a bit silly but I'm sure it cant just be that and we've missed something here.
338  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is becoming a Western Union Agent a fast track to USA Compliance? on: July 29, 2014, 02:33:58 PM
I'm really struggling to see your point here. Can you do a condensed tl;dr version?
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2014, 02:31:06 PM
I really wish I had listened to my urges to invest in Bitcoin when I first joined the community, I would be seriously benefiting now. When I first joined I was making Bitcoin from faucets which were giving good amounts (1 Btc) to anyone who used them. I was thinking of investing $300-500 in Bitcoin at the time but, never did. Now, I do regret that heavily my profit would of been through the roof. A few months after not investing I lost interest and recently have seen the amount it's shot up to.

So will I make the same mistake again? Probably.

It's unlikely that you'll be able to make anywhere near the same gains again, but investing in a few coins or as many as you can afford would be a good idea, though remember bitcoin will never be a safe or foolproof investment. People who bought in at $1000 are still out of pocket by a long shot.
340  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling senior member account (open) on: July 29, 2014, 02:28:16 PM
Can the Icon in those elderly accounts be changed or is it permanent locked in?

The forum admin will remove them if you dislike it but wont change it to something else, otherwise your stuck with whatever avatar it has.
