321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 1 BTC!!! Give me just one alt coin! for 3 months on: June 03, 2017, 03:06:02 PM
I will put 1/3 in Ripple and 1/3 in ethereum, and 1/3 in an ICO. I love etherum. Invest in leading market and I strongly believe ethereum will grow bigger than BTC. Ethereum is more than a cryptocurrency. It's a platform where developers build on top of it, similar to how Google works.
Ripple is not even true crypto. Ethereum is centrally controller smart contract platform and bad payment method. There is an problem with ETH it can be bottle necked easily.
So far ETH is relatively stable because it has user base many times smaller that bitcoin has. Just wait when ETH network will be congested, it will happen soon.
ICO investing can be good - the problem is that it also can go terribly wrong. I wouldn't recommend any newbie to invest in ICOs.
322  Economy / Economics / Re: Feeling the burn on: June 03, 2017, 02:53:09 PM
I dunno what do ya'll think? Buy in at 2400$?
Just buy BTC, at any price really - $2400 is still fine price compared to our recent ATH price. We can be absolutely sure that BTC will reach and beat previous top price.
You lost money during your previous trading sessions because you were too impatient. If you would keep both BTC and LTC to this day your profit would be enormous.
If you want to earn fast buck focus on ICOs, pumping shitcoins. If you want have solid ground and profit for sure just hold BTC - position trading FTW!
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is forming a bubble and that is an indisputable fact on: June 03, 2017, 02:48:10 PM
The amount of institutional investors in bitcoin is still extremely small compared to, for example, any of the dow stocks. While the idea of giving away bitcoin to the hands of wall street billionaires may not sound appealing, it is the best way to stabilize the price. When something like 50% of bitcoins are owned by institutional investors, the price will definitely be significantly more stable.

Retail investors will always buy into manias and push assets up and down like crazy. They have weaker hands. Especially bitcoin investors. As long as people are out there trying to use bitcoin to get rich quick, it will remain too volatile to stabilize and grow as a currency.
The question is: do we really need institutional money to flow into bitcoin?
Of course, it would be great, but Bitcoin if just fine as being alternative asset - used mostly by people, not businesses.
Bitcoin is like stock - available for anyone, without need of contacting any middlemen to purchase it.
Price of bitcoin will be more stable over time, more people using BTC = less volatility.

324  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin & Trump on: June 03, 2017, 02:20:27 PM
I don't think that cooperation of Trump and Putin will be enough to stop terrorism. What can they do to stop terrorists attacks in Europe?
There is no way to prevent massacres like at that concert of Ariana Grande in Manchester or in Paris last year/this year.
I will ask one unpleasant question. What there is ZERO terrorists attacks in Japan? Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world.\
And according to the mayor of London "terrorist attacks are part of life in a big city".
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is still delusional enough to think miners want to scale? on: June 01, 2017, 05:06:54 PM
Majority of miners are greedy bastards, it would be better if they give up mining if they rather keep scaling in forever locked state.
Bitcoin is not some kind of temporary altocin , you can just cut out BTC it and switch over to another short lived pump and dump altcoin.
Miners are not idiots though, they know that current congestion of the network is nothing to trifle with, soon mempool would be totally overload.
If that will happen - mass panic will ensue. Price of BTC will crash->mining profits will be lowered.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: A realistic bitcoin price in a year on: May 31, 2017, 08:56:30 PM
I expect a speculative bubble to $10K
Based on what? I would expect rather the reverse situation linked to fear and uncertainty of scaling solution.
There will be major dump right before protocol changes will be introduced. Most people would opt to dump BTC in case something will go wrong with scaling upgrade.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hacked Again? on: May 31, 2017, 08:38:00 PM
I think this shows the stability of Ethereum, it's like a stacked deck of cards waiting to be blown over.
Ehereum so far was only faster than bitcoin because it was barely used, we can see what will happen when there will be larger number of transactions going on.
If one there is a way to successfully bottleneck transactions of ETH network then this coin have serious security issue.
When ETH holders will realize the truth current high price of ETH  won't last long - I expect heavy correction.
328  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The next step to impeach Trump. on: May 30, 2017, 06:52:45 PM
I bet my Bitcoins he will never finish his mandate. His senility is already catching up , that's a matter of time.
I wouldn't bet even 1 satoshi on that. Unless Trump do something totally ridiculous and outrageous he will remain president.
There is no way that he will ever be impeached, it is far more more likely that he will be assassinated though.
Personally I would bet more money that he will  win next presidential election as well.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price going below 2k$ on: May 30, 2017, 06:31:38 PM
Drop of 400$ in just two days and it will probably go below 2k$, is that China dumping or something else? Will it cause the mass selling and buying once the bitcoin drops as low as it will? Or will the acceptance of bitcoin in Australia of 1st July recover the price as it was a few days ago?
The higher overall price of bitcoin will be the bigger corrections are. It is only natural. In the next few years $400 daily price shift won't be anything special.
It wasn't China dump, it was accumulated liquidation of short positions. We will see soon bullish trend again, this time we can go even higher than $3000.
330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: May 30, 2017, 06:19:06 PM
We will see $3500 faster than you think. It will be exactly in the similar fashion we reached previous ATH, fast and out of nowhere.
There are massive number of positive bitcoin news circulating around: Japanese internet giant GMO launching Bitcoin Trading Platform in Japan.
One of the bigger payment processors in Russia will soon embrace bitcoin and add it to their system, not to mention future scaling solution.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exscudo scam or legit? on: May 30, 2017, 06:09:22 PM
If even one aspect of a new ICO is not clear and you have even slight doubt about the project then it is advised to skip this investing option.
We are not short of new ICO, there will be plenty of new project to invest in. I would invest in Exscudo only when it will have:

- coherent whitepaper - detailed description, with clearly expressed core elements
- open source - it is simple - no code, no proof that you are able to develop anything
- strong or known/experienced team

332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tomorrow 31th May (Japan time) will open internet giant GMO Btc trading platform on: May 30, 2017, 05:24:13 PM
I do not think japan is so dedicated. They are so brave to adopt bitcoin as fiat money. 100 stores in japan play to mine bitcoin, making many atm the most present now.

They plan to mine bitcoin? Did they get the memo that this is no longer profitable unless you have shitload of ASICS and free energy?
I guess they are only doing it to boost their reputation and not for money.

Great news today, first Russian payment processor and not GMO. Bull race will start soon.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea for Price Stability - Ban Robot Trading on: May 28, 2017, 08:29:03 PM
First of all, there is no way that someone will go as far and ban  bots/automatic trading.
Secondly it is totally impossible to make sure that automatic trades ban can be enforced.
People will exploit the situation and create sophisticated bots. How will you know that trades are 100% organic and human made?
334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: May 28, 2017, 08:18:11 PM
There are some guys, like Tim Draper, saying that it could be at $ 10,000 next year, and I could even agree... if the scaling problem had already been solved. But things are slower than predicted in that regard.
Tim Draper said that long time ago, if I remember correctly he was all hyped after that pump in 2013. It was nothing but will guess on his part.
$10000 will happen, there is no doubt about it, but I don't think that it will be sooner than halving in 2020.
But I heard some analysts saying that there is serious possibility for bitcoin to reach $6000 in 2017.

335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARAGON: The Ethereum based Startup from Spain on: May 28, 2017, 07:55:54 PM
It's quite funny that it is one of the biggest crypto projects now and the devs chose not to have the thread here. Not saying it is bad or good thing, just noticing.

It would be good if they had thread in here. But they publish informative blog posts regularly and other channels.
Some of the big projects not to choose to be in here lately. IMO it's always good to hear every ideas from every channels but sometimes it could be distracting and annoying too  Cheesy
It is plan stupid to not include Bitcointalk as one of your standard communication channels. This forum is one of the biggest information highways.
Either developers of Aragon are not familiar with the biggest crypto forum (unlikely) or they don't think it is necessary to have ANN thread here.
Anyway, it's highly suspicious that they decided to directly omit bitcointalk as advertising platform.
336  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: May 28, 2017, 07:33:54 PM
Just buying and storing bitcoins itself will help double your money, just five weeks ago the US$ equivalent of 0.0075 BTC was $10 now it's $16.
An this is exactly what op suggested. He just wanted to push BTC holding strategy to the limits, and don't even pay heed to news and rumors.
It is the best strategy for newbies and people who are afraid/too lazy to try trading (even simple: sell at ATH, and rebuy at correction trades can be scary).
There is rumor/prediction circulation around that owning even 1 BTC will make you rich in next 30 years. Won't miss it.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: May 28, 2017, 07:02:37 PM
Slots are not bad choice for a new game for vDice platform, but honestly I was expecting something more extravagant.
Other than smart contract mechanics vDice's Slots seems to be perfectly standard take on Slot game, no thrill here.

Do we know already how high will be House Edge on Slots or setting specific numbers is still work in progress?
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: China is dumping, prepare for crash. on: May 28, 2017, 06:48:04 PM
kwukduck can be right this time.guys don't think every time price will raise. If you have experience 2012 then you know what will can be happened.don't you think less than 1 year price increase 600% I think its insane.pump and dump= someone winner + someone loser  Grin

no the duck is not right, and you are out of your mind Smiley
it wasn't 2012 and it was 2013 and price went up 500% in one month, how hard is it to understand the difference i wonder! and besides by that time bitcoin was tiny compared to today. it wasn't really accepted anywhere and people were mostly interested in it because they could solo mine it with their PC and make a lot of money.

and in this year price has barely reached 100% rise and in previous years we have had up to 200% rises without any major mainstream adoption that we have this year!
Bitcoin prior to 2013 was totally speculative asset with almost no real life usage. Every pump and dump was orchestrated attempt to earn money.
Today situation is quite different, we know what we can expect, adoption is growing, we have scaling solution at hand.
Bitcoin is viewed as safe have asset, a solid alternative economy is forming. China is no longer leading force of btc trading Japan is.
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if I buy 3BTC now and forget about them for 10 years??? on: May 28, 2017, 06:35:19 PM
I am wondering, what would happened if I can get some cash to buy 3 BTC that means at the prices of this moment 1 BTC = 2,252 USD so would be 3BTC= 6,756 USD and forget that I Have them for 10 Years???

Will I be rich??
Will I have lost all the money??
Will I have just make a few extra dollars??

Would you do it??

According to Leader of @diginomics, Travis Patron: "Owning 100 bitcoins will give you the financial momentum to never have to work again."

and

"Owning even 1 bitcoin will put you in the top 1% financially within the next 30 years."

So yes, buy Bitcoin while it is still cheap. There won't be second chances, we are still early adopters.

340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 28, 2017, 06:06:59 PM
Bitcoin is not big enough to be dedicated payment method in cinemas. Don't get me wrong. I would very much like that idea and buy tickets with Bitcoin, but it's too early.
Who would buy cinema ticket with BTC? 1 in a 1000? That article about cinemas accepting bitcoin was linked to that movie Dope, but that movie was forgotten soon.

First things first, legalize bitcoin, make it legal payment tender - the way Japan did, and then we can add it as payment method in cinemas, and everywhere else.
