321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone here ever visited El Salvador and tried paying with bitcoin there? on: April 04, 2024, 05:15:40 PM
No mate, haven't been there but even I am curious to know how does things work there and I am curious to know how does they cope up wo transaction fees associated with it or they use it only for higher transactions. There are some stores which accepts Bitcoin as shared in this thread but using Bitcoin in a nation where it's legalised would be a different experience all together.

Anyone from El Salvador please share your experience
322  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Market yourself and become visible on: April 03, 2024, 09:53:15 PM
You have spoken the truth but we need to develop certain skill set if we want to prosper in that particular domain, only then we can market ourself as without skill if we market ourself we will lose business once and for all because any business runs on recurring relationship and transaction hence in order to have that we need skill and it doesn't has to be particularly about the crypto it can be anything and as simple as cooking.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin expansion, now set to hold a live conference.. on: April 03, 2024, 07:55:38 PM
Memecoins cannot prosper unless they work on providing more utilities and also we expect some unique features which has not been termed by other project but unfortunately most of the memecoins are so short sighted they just create it as a joke and win investment not based on their features but rather in assumption that there would be some huge profits for investors they sell by using the growth story of other memecoins like pepe. I don't think memecoins alone cannot sustain without some real development.
324  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No matter what don't let your life be controlled by three things on: April 03, 2024, 07:14:29 PM
Unfortunately, most of us are controlled by these very three things you have mentioned and it requires a strong person who has either experienced life by being controlled by these three things will be able to life without being controlled by these wherein others are living their life like an unchain slaves and that's the reality.
325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anxiety in trading (heart disease) on: April 03, 2024, 07:01:59 PM
Traders who are afraid of experiencing losses are traders who do not fully understand how trading works, all traders must have experienced losses either because they were inexperienced or made the wrong decision or also because the market moved in the opposite direction very quickly.
Dummy trading helps to minimize these losses before real time trading begins. Most people dont use it at all or are not patient enough to do it.

In trading one will always face some losses. But speaking of spot trading these are only conversions of one coin to another and hence you always have some asset to sell in the market. In futures and margin you will completely lose money if you dont know what you are doing with it.

Hence spot is always safer than the rest. But the risk takers will prefer the other modes.

I would rather never prefer futures trading because no matter if you have trade winning day for a well consecutively but one bad day and all your profits will be gone as futures is not for everyone it creates more losers than winners. As you mentioned if people practice trading with demo account it would help them understand the trading dynamics rather than directly jumping into itand losing money be it spot or futures.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 03, 2024, 06:44:04 PM
I have mixed opinion this time as halving will occur this month and we have already seen some price fluctuations thought not a huge but still this is enough to create panic for new ones. I am bullish on Bitcoin up until end of the year 2025 but at the moment I feel market may go down and recover it won't be a flat upward trend rather fluctuating one but moving towards upwards.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: Neo-liberalism and the crisis of Capitalism on: April 03, 2024, 06:08:08 PM
The emergence of industrial capitalism which commenced in Europe in the second half of the eighteenth century heralded two social phenomena such as; pervasive commodification ( all productions geared for sale), and monetization (the centrality and  the use of money for transactions). Sequel to this development, the entire human society became polarized into two social classes; the owners of production and labour. The latter became decomposed into different social classes such as; the middle class, working class, lower class, under class and lastly at best, though more often than not is never recond, the peasantry.
Thus, production is organized within these social complexities which is characterized with antagonisms arising from inequality, poverty, unemployment, inflation and hunger. These are the causes of the miseries in the human society in recent times.
The Great Depression in Europe in 1929 is as the results of these macroeconomic indices as stated above. Classical liberalism was not able to address the crisis, so there was a shift for the adoption of the neo- liberal paradigms such as; fiscal policy and monetary policy. These were operationalized to help manipulate aggregate demands as to minimize unemployment and inflation in Europe. It was achieved through Budgetary framework which shows the ratio of recurrent expenditures and capital expenditures and the directives of expenditures are specified accordingly.
Ever since the European countries, the United States of America and other advance countries are helped by this neoliberal permutations.
On the basis of these ideological persuasions, what really is happening to the African continent and other underdeveloped continents. Why are they not been able to liberate their continents from the contemporary crisis of global capitalism.
I would want the users of this forum to comment and contribute to this great debate. Thanks.

If you look at those undeveloped continent like Africa and most part of Asia, the suffering and poverty that existed within is not mainly cause by capitalism, socialism or any other form of government being practice by the state, The major cause of suffering in those part of the world is mostly cause by the high level of incompetence by our leaders.

I am a proud African, so I am saying this not as an outsider, I know what's going on within, most natural disasters most countries around the world are complaining about mostly don't happen here, our own disaster is not natural, it's man made, it's only few of our leaders that have the intention of even doing anything tangible for it citizens, they mostly care about their families and how to enrich their selfs through embezzlement of public funds.

so I don't think it's because of capitalism or any other systems that are making the rich to get richer, and the poor to get poorer, it's because of the bad leadership in the state.

Banged on the point. This is the perfect explanation of why underdeveloped nations remains underdeveloped and poor it's not because of capitalism as we need to think who allowed capitalism? Who is being benefited by it? It's all due to incompetent leaders as they should be held responsible and people should vote for development and you will notice more of ethnic or religion based violence in these nations which is orchestrated by leaders to retain power.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money vs Bitcoin on: April 03, 2024, 05:48:46 PM
Fiat currency has never been used as a store of value, because it can be manipulated by the government, and the government prints more money when there is low circulation of money. What are store of values are those valuable assets that appreciate over time, which fiat currency is not part of it. We only use it to buy and pay for goods and services, because it is a legal tender made by our government. Gold, estates and landed properties are known as store of value because they are used as hedge against inflation. Here comes bitcoin in 2009 the only digital currency that can now be used as a store of value or as currency reserve for the future.

Yes Fiat is never meant to be storing value because there are lot of factors which can decimate the value of fiat, look at the currency of Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. Gold and real estate are two asset to store value which has been in existence from centuries. I would say Bitcoin is one of the best asset to store value but that's not why it was created because even Bitcoin is volatile as it's best for risk investment and P2P transfers.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered staking? on: April 03, 2024, 05:28:00 PM
I have tried staking but it didn't work and the APY is too less and the worst part is you never know when the price of the coins will fall leaving you with more loss than expected profits. I have tried it multiple times and my experience was terrible except one time when I staked BNB and there were lot of projects launched in Binance which gave good returns as it pumped value of BNB.

Staking is a big no for me.
330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In a discussion, you discuss! on: April 02, 2024, 08:26:33 PM
I have also noticed a trend amongst newcomers, they take comments to heart and are very emotional when others do not agree with their opinion. They tell you not to comment in their thread if you don’t have anything good to say, which is dumb because only a fool will think he is always right. These set of users do not want a discussion in the real sense of the word. They just want supporters and responses that feed their ego.

I have noticed both sides of the story wherein either newcomers acting like they know everything and they can never go wrong and also how some new comers were bullied and they were questioned in a rude manner for their posts. It should be mutual wherein newcomers need to learn the basics and no one is expert they have to understand this fact and should be ready to accept feedbacks and shortcomings, at the same time the tenured users should be more tolerant unless a scan is spread by newbie.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Existing/established altcoins or new ones? on: April 02, 2024, 07:40:51 PM
I think it depends, some old and established projects are doing great, no doubt about that, and when you think about the security of your funds along with the potential profits you might get, you will think of investing in those established ones without a second thought. However, many of the newly launched cryptocurrencies have great potential as well, I'm not referring to meme coins because they are not normal cryptocurrencies but others such as JUP, ETHFI, AXL, PORTAL, etc.

I don't usually invest a lot in altcoins but when I do, I make sure that I do enough research to find out which coins have been performing well lately and then I check the projects behind them to find out whether the performance can be managed in the long run or it's just because of hype.

Yes that's the ideal way because it's like choosing between average profit with security which is established coins and higher profit with higher risk without security which is new coins so it's advisable to do a through research about everything right from their team to partners and previous works and whitepaper. I think we need to give a try to new coins as well but not the entire portfolio but rather 10% or 20%.
332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the countdown begin❗️ on: April 02, 2024, 06:56:08 PM
Yeah very much prepared with enough USDT already to ensure be if the dip or pump I shouldn't miss because already I have done DCA which has accumulated decent amount of Bitcoin and also at the sametime the USDT will be used to buy more if Bitcoin dips as there are bullish expectations but I want to be ready for both as it would be a volatile month for sure and we have already seen some fluctuations in past 3 days.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce inflation. on: April 02, 2024, 04:11:31 PM
Will keep is short the primary reason for inflation is the deficit in export and import, if the export of nation is lesser than import then it's obvious that there would be inflation and there are countries like some rich gulf nations who import most of their consumables but still they are able to balance it out due to exporting oils. Government should work in increasing its export in order to keep inflation under control.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find a best bounty campaign to join ? on: April 02, 2024, 03:56:48 PM
in reality it is very difficult to find a good bounty, no one can know in advance whether a project will be successful or not, the only things that can possibly be done are: see the credibility and experience of the bounty manager, prefer campaigns that pay with escrow and perhaps with weekly payments in stablecoins

Ye that's the right way because so many bounty projects get abandoned but there are some genuine and professional bounty managers who wants the weekly payments in stablecoins that's too they escrow it because that's the way forward instead of promising huge returns and dumping the project it's better to work for average payout with guarantee and if all the bounty managers follow this then the scam projects or projects that don't pay it's users won't be able to infiltrate this forum and even if they do the bounty hunter will get paid for their time and efforts and genuine projects won't mind shelling some amount for bounty.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 02, 2024, 03:28:00 PM
Agreed, we should never disclose our holdings or even say we have holding huge chunk and I rather prefer a very low profile when it comes to Bitcoin and don't even jump into conversations when people discuss about Bitcoin in real life as we will be the easiest target if someone happens to figure out we had Bitcoins and at gun or knife point there is no way one can get out without coughing up the information. It's advisable not to boast about your Bitcoin or any crypto holding with others as there may be third person observing it.
336  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Insight on traditional practices in Nigeria. on: April 01, 2024, 08:02:09 PM
I would just say there are some rules and your religion which are designed to keep you safe and prosperous but the problem here I we really don't bother Knowing the reason why they were made and jump into conclusions. I have seen similar practice done in other religions as well for 3 months but slightly differs like they are not required to shave their hairs, etc. There were some really nasty cruel practices like sati which were manmade invention and Haas been stopped.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold all my shib for litecoin on: April 01, 2024, 07:35:49 PM
That's a radical decision which you have made and I hope you would have taken calculated risk because selling BTC for any Altcoins are not suggested but yeah if you have a strategy you can go ahead because LTC may provide better return but I would not invest into it as I have not seen any recent developments in the project and other altcoins offer better speed now.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Elon Must not tweeting about any crypto coin on his twitter now ? on: April 01, 2024, 06:52:44 PM
He wanted to make some real quick bucks and then purchased huge amount of Doge, tweeted which creates hype and then he dumped it. That's the short story because he really never backed his words and just played with emotions of crypto users. Moreover, he should focus on his core domain instead of manipulating the price as it's better for everyone.
339  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israeli terrorists' usage of human shields on: April 01, 2024, 06:30:35 PM
They have proved time and again they are evil as Palestine welcomed them when they were massacred throughout Europe and then they are returning the favor like this and what's more saddening is the leaders are supporting Zionism and deafening silent of Arab and Muslim nation as they just use Palestine for political purpose like Iran claims they will attack Israel nd wipe them off but they don't as it's just a slogan. This will be recorded as one of the darkest period in mankind.
340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why most of Exchanges FAIL ? on: April 01, 2024, 06:08:01 PM
Partially agreed with your point as we can use cold wallets to store the assets and it would work for investors but what about daily traders they had to have funds into exchange and unfortunately we cannot sustain with DEX due to low liquidity and UI hence CEX is preferred to trade and store value hence it's a no way out for traders unfortunately.
