Teka We need to reach them after rev 2.5

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ_Cv4wEE-c

they were talking about fire-chat and mesh networks in this one. They said that all the technologies with mesh net do not offer real privacy. for the bloat issue and third party vulnerability.

XC is gonna blow their mind

Edit: I made a comment in reply of their first comment talking about xc bitcoin magazine article about xc meshnet solution for privacy and I wanted to upvote it with different google accounts but when i go out from my profile and enter the other one I cannot see my comment there.

that is my comment:

Hi Guys have a look at Xcurrency fully private anononimous meshnet implemented. First Crypto to do that:

bitcoinmagazine dot com/16436/xcurrencys-new-trustless-ad-hoc-mesh-network/

Watch the entire show, not bad. Some interesting points. Reddit wants it's own coin? Lets push XC

can you see my comment and upvote it?

I think sometimes on reddit they "shadow ban" comments, so only you can see it, no one else. maybe try post it again from different account.

on a serious note, just downloaded the wallet. talk to me...

Check instructions please

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=668886.msg9061502#msg9061502

To sum up:

1-Go to the "Receive Address Tab" and create a new address.
Label it however you like. Might makes sense to designate it your VoIP Address.

2-Right Click the Address and choose the bottom option "Set VoIP Account".

3-Go to "VoIP Calls" tab and click on the "REGISTER" box.

4-Enter the Address you'd like to call in the "Direct Calling/IM" box near the bottom.
You will see two tiny boxes on the right. Click on the "Left Tiny Box" to dial.

5-Watch the "Call Status" box, You will see it say "Calling".

Whoever is Receiving the call has to accept the call by clicking "Answer Call"
that will show in the box above the "Call Status" box.

To hang up simply click "Hang Up".

Plain and simple who wins the next communication Giant.... Shadow Chat has #1 UI for chatting with Encrypted messaging And its also the First HTML5 wallet.... Plus voice video and File support on the way!!! No one is even close on this front  Grin

Introducing Shadow, the wallet experience will never be the same.

XC & Shadow colab would be epic.

Why the fuck would they ever colab?...Their Zk snarks will end the annon debate

If im honest, Im not that clued up on shadow and haven't looked into the snarks biz properly (there's just too much to take in if you have a life outside of crypto!) but to me shadow and XC are what im putting my faith in. i know a colab ain't gonna happen, but u can't deny it would be a great combination of devs and tech if it were somehow possible.

Introducing Shadow, the wallet experience will never be the same.

After more than 500+ developer hours, we've completely reworked the Satoshi client framework from old and busted into the new hotness. Our initial goal for this release was to create a user and developer friendly experience, while keeping privacy a cornerstone of the project. We believe we’ve succeeded and our new interface is the foundation that will shape the future of the Shadow ecosystem.

Shadow resembles more modern application frameworks both on the frontend and the backend. We’ve taken a different approach to our privacy counterparts at DarkWallet. Instead of building a wallet into a browser framework, we’ve built a browser framework into a wallet.

The entire front end is written in HTML5/CSS3/JS using QtWebKit widgets and C++. The result is a more interactive and streamlined Shadow experience for the end user. We've made sure not to put passwords or anything insecure in Javascript or Html, so your information is just as safe as the prior client. To our knowledge, this is the first “cryptobrowser” to hit the scene. Although there isn’t actual web browser functionality, the application framework is there to build applications that run on top of the Shadow network. In the future we’ll be releasing a ShadowSDK for interested developers and entrepreneurs.

The new interface includes all of Shadow’s previous innovations: dual key stealth addresses (ShadowSend), encrypted messaging (ShadowChat) and our simplified payment verification system (ShadowLite). It also includes UI improvements on existing CoinControl technology.

Our next step for the will be integrating the new interface into our mobile line (ShadowGo) as well as adding features to improve upon the new interface.

ShadowChat

Shadow’s advanced P2P encrypted messaging system is back with a massively redesigned front end. The new interface is more modern and user friendly. Unlike other messaging platforms, ours has no central server routing messages; everything is encrypted end-to-end and P2P. Setting up a new conversation with a friend, colleague or business associate has never been easier.

To get started you’ll need an address and a public key.

     1. Create an address
1a. Your public key will be created

That’s it! Share your address and public key with your desired counterpart and begin communicating privately and securely.

To begin a conversation with someone, you’ll need his or her address and public key.

     1. Select the “ShadowChat” tab and click “Start Conversation”
     2. Enter their SDC address into the “address” field
     3. Enter their name or alias in the “name” field
     4. Enter their public key into the “public key” field
     5. Select the “Start conversation” button

All done! You’ve successfully created your first ShadowChat conversation! Enjoy chatting knowing that “Big Brother” isn’t listening in!

Does anyone know when Mintpal V2 is suppose to go live?

It was supposed to be yesterday:

Quote
Wednesday 1st October - 9:00PM UTC

The migration to V2 has begun, and the site will be unavailable for up to 24 hours as a result.

Which means another 48 hours or so.. but who knows.

It's quite funny. They keep saying sorry for the delays and things like "We wont give any more specific times, but will definitely still be done by the end of today" and then " ok, sorry again for the delay, we will just let you know when it happens. will definitely be by the end of the day though" etc etc LOL

lets just wait and see.

...And if this is the stage that you are at, you should not be telling us that you are collaborating, or even potentially collaborating with them.

I really appreciate being kept in the loop personally, whether it happens or not.

People need to stop cherry-picking my statements because the main point I was making is that XC has absolutely no business collaborating with a coin such as utilitycoin that is 1 week old, has an anonymous dev, and whose thread is only 10 pages long.

Seriously people? Come on...

I hope Dan doesn't give some anon shitcoin a decent code review, but like he said, he's just in discussion stages at the mo. What about the possibility that this new coin may not stay anonymous? who knows what Dans terms might be.

I much prefer him informing us of this rather than after a big pump of a shitcoin their dev comes out and tells everyone (in their thread) while the XC community are left in the dark.

I say props for the openness. (and the hard work Dan, appreciating the updates and looking forward to the nickname feature in XChat. As soon as we are user friendly Im gonna get loads of people involved!)

335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 03, 2014, 07:22:50 PM

...blah, blah, blah...

Again, no commitments have been made to do anything, as far as I can see.

Everyone knows Dan does code reviews and will collaborate with other coins.  That isn't a secret.  When he does, those coins get a pump on the market.  the issue in the past is that other coins have announced the review/collaboration before they were officially announced here.  When that happens, the XC Community misses out on the opportunity to ride the pump and make some money if they desired to speculate on that coin.

All Dan did was give a heads up as to which coins have contacted him for reviews or collaboration in case people here may be interested in investing in those coins to try and make some money.  That is it.  Plain and simple. IMO.

Exactly this.

Dan

Dan,

After the last time i asked did some research and now understand the need for re-entering the public key for Xchat.
But at the same time i feel this will limit the adaptation of XChat by non tech/altcoin people, just because its just a lot of hassle & they have no idea what a private key is. For many i know a XC address looks crazy enough.
Is there some (anon related) reason for not letting the wallet discover the public key by itself before encrypting the channel or do you think there is some way to build this tech into the core protocol before going public?

grtz

I have a different solution for this, using a basic blockchain 2.0 service, the user can register a nickname/alias assigned to the public/private key pair which eliminates that process altogether.  Thus you just add the "nickname/alias"

Dan

Also, this is great!  Smiley

Ah, there's old rdnkjdi ruining a decent discussion on reddit by spreading FUD as per usual because he was stupid enough to give his money away on a totally unrelated project.

such an annoying wanker.  >:

Telling someone who's lost thousands of dollars, having your marketing team try to defame him by calling him names, then double speaking about if they guy who stole money was/wasn't a developer is NOT a way to win friends for your coin.

I may start an XC FUD thread like I did with Monero to see if the XC people take it as well as XMR did.

It wasn't even Jasinlee who "stole" your money! He was just related to the project. Like I said, it's unfortunate, but is nothing to do with XC!

Rather than making a FUD thread, why don't you use your energy on something positive. perhaps try and earn some of that lost money back.

All this anger is pointless for everyone.

I trusted a dev to build me an ASIC.  You're trusting a dev to build you a world class closed source (that you can't see) privacy platform he claims exist.

We aren't so different.

The difference is I am prepared to take full responsibility for my own investment.

If Dan suddenly disappears off the planet and it all goes downhill, I'm not going to start following Synechist around and trying to trash anything he is ever involved in afterwards.

You made a bad investment, it was unfortunate, and I feel for you, but it's so annoying to see you talking the same old shit just because you are still butt-hurt.
