321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 30, 2024, 03:08:49 PM
It's simple, of course no team in any league really wants to see their eternal rivals to be champhionship, as well as Tottenham, of course they don't want to see Arsenal can end the season with a championship trophy because it will be a wound for Tottenham fans later, so in my opinion Tottenham will indeed play all out in the game but to win of course it is difficult for us to see because indeed I am quite sure if Tottenham will let Manchester City won to thwart Arsenal chances of champhioship.
This is like expecting Manchester United to lose to Arsenal so as not to let their neighbors to win their 4th title in a row.

Tottenham are looking to secure a Champions league spot this season, competing against United and most importantly Aston Villa. You honestly do not expect Tottenham will give up a Champions league spot simply because they do not want their rivals to win the league.

My expectation is that City will be too strong for them, City has struggled at this away matches with Tottenham, but at this stage in the season may be just too much. There's also too much focus on that match, Fulham away for City may be a potential banana peel.

322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: April 29, 2024, 07:00:24 PM
You should never trust someone you know to be a compulsive gambler with sums of money. You should actually never hand an addict, regardless of the addiction, huge sums of money you do not want to lose. An addiction is a form of mental health challenge and should be managed as such until the person has fully recovered from it.

The topic title is moot. There's nothing to do in this situation, the deed is already done. If you can help yourself, start some jobs, save up the money, then open up to them and apologize. If you cannot help yourself, open up and seek professional help.

323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting for reality not club affection on: April 29, 2024, 06:53:17 PM
This is very true. Emotions can very easily creep into our decisions in betting. I'm currently in a English Premier League pool and I'm an Arsenal fan. I do not think I've ever bet against Arsenal since the beginning of the season, but I have repeatedly predicted City or Liverpool to lose or draw even when all the odds suggested the will not.

Best option will be to not get on your favorite team or their rivals.

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about building a library on bitcoin? on: April 29, 2024, 06:23:26 PM
...because in humanity history, there are less than 200 books can be called world famous master pieces.
So, if we can build a self-circulation economic model. This may be true.
I'll argue this all day. There are at least 5,000 world famous master pieces that have been written since the beginning of time, don't ask me to mention them. You cannot limit our over 2000 years of civilization to less than 200 books.

Back to the topic at hand, as others have said, this will be too expensive to do on the Bitcoin network and is not the core purpose of the network either. We should get creative and look for more immutable way to store data.

325  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the real bull run begin? on: April 29, 2024, 02:28:17 PM
You can't or shouldn't be waiting for a bull run when you know from historical data one is not coming soon. You've been investing since January 2022 which was at the point when the last bull run was starting to lose steam. This normally leads to a bear market, the halving, some months of sideways movement and then the bullrun.

This market has been different in that we already hit an ATH even before the halving. If you can't be patient through one of the lowest bear markets, in terms of percentage drop and one of the quickest rebounds, this may not be the investment option for you.

That Pep felt stalked by Arteta. Cheesy
They're getting away at the moment. Forest have been the better side for me and created better chances, but when you switch off against this team like they did during that corner kick, you get punished. Still 45 minutes to go and then 4 extra matches to be played, I can just feel City will slip up in one of them, we just got to keep winning our side of the race.

Maybe i got just temporary ban don't remember exacly but i don't remember my password.
You did not get a temporary ban and even if you did, you are not still allowed to make an alt account to post when you have an account temporarily banned, it is evading the ban.

Quit posting with this account or any other alt you have and focus on appealing your ban.

Come on you Goonerz!!! Great win.

A week doesn't get better than beating both neighbors back to back. Lousy from Raya, but he picked himself up and played incredibly well after that. Whatever happens at the end of this season Arteta has set up a remarkable team with a great mentality.
Over to you Pep.

Ain't you also rebuilding? You won no single major trophy in the last 5 years,  we can't say the same for Chelsea. Arsenal fans having so much pride for finishing second  Grin Don't worry we're both going trophyless again.
Competing for the title in two consecutive seasons is not a rebuild, a rebuild is about getting back an identity and a way of playing, being consistent and getting staff, players and fans all on the same track. You can win a trophy and still be rebuilding, Chelsea almost won the F.A cup this season, that would have not changed the fact that your team is still trying to find its feet.

We are all sure that Arsenal will be back again competing for the title next season whatever the outcome is this season, that is not a rebuild. Also, we won the F.A Cup in 2020.

Again, good-luck with your rebuild.

I predicted 2-2, but how I would love it if WestHam made better use of some of those dead ball situations late into the game and won it.
1 win in 5 matches is terrible form for this stage of the season, guess we can all say Liverpool bottled the league this season now having led the table the longest. Have fun rebuilding reds.... and blues.

Liverpool announce their new coach for next season Arne Slot from Feyenoord, an unexpected name in my opinion, but there are not very many available top coaches in the market at the moment.
Making the announcement now could be indicative that they have given up the chances of winning the league this season. The club will otherwise have delayed, letting this season run out before looking ahead to the next era.

Big matches up tomorrow. Full focus on Tottenham, all we can do is win our matches and hope for the best.

I instantly think 'money laundering' when I see auctions like this, over $2 million dollars worth of Bitcoin has moved hands, probably will get liquidated and it is entirely clean money now. This is a thought I have for the entire art industry.

...Ever thought of that?
I do not know the context you or anyone else has said it, but for the big, scheming exchanges, people listen cause they want to trust something. The exchanges do not even need to try, but they do with SAFU and when they (coinbase) tried to create what they were calling a non custodian wallet, though it was very far from that.

I don't know how I can "move" my initial post to the Meta discussion section.  Do you mean start a brand new post with the same inquiry in the Meta section, or is that note intended for moderators?
Look at the bottom left of this page, right below this my comment (if it is still the most recent one when you see this). You should see 'move topic' and 'lock topic'. Click to move and then search for Meta.

Welcome to the forum even if you have already been here for sometime.

Did you intend to make the social media links clickable individually? I wanted to give the handles a look and check out some contests that may be there, but every click gets redirected to the web page. I still found my way to it, but it will be easier to locate it directly.

337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your favourite exchange can be nowhere to be found on: April 26, 2024, 01:24:24 PM
You do not have an exchange wallet, you have an account with an exchange that owns all the wallets. The exchange can block your account at anytime and for any reason. Only use an exchange to exchange and after you are done, move your funds to your wallet which should be:

  • Non custodian
  • Open source
  • Popular or reputable

I'd rather be like a few months ago where you had a sports betting contest for the Bitcointalk forum, is this coming again?
I unfortunately missed that contest, looking forward to the next one they run, if any. I do not mind if it is a free or paid contest, I have been on a couple of pool betting contests and will jump on any started by Shuffle.

339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AI Dino Game-Using AI to hack Bitcoin wallets on: April 26, 2024, 09:43:47 AM
... the "encryption" of the cryptocurrency wallet will be transparent to AI.
I was sure you knew nothing of what you were talking about, but this line, with the emphasis on encryption when you should be targetting an address not trying to "hack" a wallet, just confirmed that.

Go spam somewhere else.

340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The chink in the armor: traces of centralization on: April 26, 2024, 09:36:55 AM
This is the inevitable effect of adoption on a massive scale as what Bitcoin is experiencing. The other two examples of truly decentralized networks tor and torrent are no where near as popular and as used as Bitcoin or are on the decline in usage. People tend to go for easier to use alternatives, after-all, they do not consider centralization in their daily activities. Bitcoin does not have a real alternative, people want to use it, hold it and profit from it, but just not in the way it was designed to be.

Writing down your seedphrase, not being able to recover your sats if they are lost, checking the source codes of a software, running your own node and choosing your servers is not what a massive amount of the population are willing to do, but they are what create mass adoption.

I do not know what the solution will be of if there is one. The trends of closed and failed exchanges stealing people's money was not enough to scare others from centralized exchanges, cause they want to trust something. The exchanges can come up with "SAFU" and everyone relaxes again or were never alarmed at all.

Best case scenario will be to double down on privacy for those interested in it. Filtering fully open source softwares from partial ones and identifying platforms which are not as decentralized as they claim to be.
