I too do this.

I Always use EST,CST, etc.

The only place I use CDT, etc is on server configs where its required for things to work right,

I agree that most North Americans follow this as most have never heard of CDT, etc.

If we are at deadline, LabCoin can just freeze trades.
You know. make it easy. Tongue

When withdrawing from WeExchange I received the message "Could not connect to 2nd stage server" rather than "withdrawal succeeded". The withdrawal shows up in my transactions list, but has been processing for a long time. Is this normal?

Heya,

No, you should see your transaction.
Cab you open a support ticket so it can be checked?

Is that a second bonus??   Grin  Thanks Ukyo!

"Thank you" to all the BitFunder users Smiley (At least those with shares. lol)
325  Economy / Securities / Re: BitFunder - Lets grow together! A request to all users - https://bitfunder.com on: July 30, 2013, 03:43:19 AM
For the general public, depends on time.
Lot's of people like to create problems that take up time lately.
While I have started adding support staff, I am still needing programming and administrative help. (Which I am also spending time trying to solve.)

I am hoping api get's into the public's hands 'soon'.
Pretty much all api calls are passive(read only) at the moment.

A number of people already have access to these such as Namworld and Franktank.

I was hoping to see an email notification features, that everytime i managed to buy/sell shares via market order, i would received an email about Smiley

I am hoping to start the beta for the notifications center soon. Smiley

API keys with trading and account transfer capabilities would be nice.

Our BTCT.co integration works very well and we have several loans per week that have BTCT.co assets as collateral.

In fact none of the secured loans have ever defaulted (in the case you are worried about mass selling efects).

API Key's are coming along. A bunch of API urls have been released to the beta users.
327  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ukyo.Loan - Paying 0.05% daily. on: July 30, 2013, 12:53:26 AM
It was not an accident.

I missed my normal reasonably payout window, and with Bitfunder doing so well lately I thought it would be a nice surprise.

Neb, I will get to your payout soon Smiley

3 confirmations only required for weex.

this hinders a lot of growth and arbitrage, and is part of the reason why activemining isn't growing as fast as it should.

for large transactions, 6 confirms is fine, but for normal every day transactions i think 3 confirms is the norm. maybe have it scale depending on the transaction size?

thanks ukyo, as an investor i hope you understand my point of view. i want whats best for all of us!

Hey there,

Decreasing confirms for smaller amounts is being considered.

Thanks,
Ukyo

Is there some problem with Bitfunder ? It's hardly to access the website this week, often shows "This website can  not be displayed; error code :ERR_TIMED_OUT". Sad

Really?

What area are you in geographically?

This is the first report I have heard of this.

Is the server went down, because I had difficulty to open the website, I am in China.

I have heard of no other complaints.
Possibly a network problem over there?

Neither BitFunder nor WeExchange operates from the US or is incorporated in the US.

We have spent pretty much every BTC earned so far (and a larger amount of my own personal funds) on lawyers in multiple countries to ensure both site's are as legal as can be while we await final approval from one of a handful of government bodies we are trying to work with.
While I do not wish to give out the current incorporation of BitFunder, it is definitely in a country that is very clear that their first action if believed to be 100% in violation would be a cease and desist. However at this point 100% is about 70% away based on our proposed requests for answers.
While some may say this sounds fishy, the last thing we need is for someone to stir up trouble before we have had a chance to finish.

As I have pointed out to numerous people, as well as many many issuers of securities, and any who join BitFunder:

If you are a person, persons or business operating in the US, and unless you meet some very fine exceptions, you must seek permission to be traded online to be legal.
There are some alternative options which are available, all dependent on what the issuers are doing of course.
BitFunder does not offer legal advice to issuers but does make them aware that they need to do much research if they are insistent upon issuing from the US.
We have had many great asset idea requests come in. Impressive ideas. However they are still working on the legalization of their side of things.

To ease some concerns, the SEC made no statements that US citizens trading on any type of exchange outside the US is illegal.
The sole issues at hand come down to fraudsters and anything issued that obviously meets federal securities standards, barring special case exceptions.

We will continue as before, to finalize the legal standing for BitFunder and continue to build a strong service that the community can look to and depend on.
Some people are upset that the fee's on BitFunder are high. I can assure everyone that these funds are all going to lawyers to meet this end.
Having multiple large law firms whose employee's are former decision making regulators in multiple countries around the world does not come cheap.

I am sure you can imagine how many hundreds of hours a month must be put into research, discussion, and documentation all with many revisions to try to convince different government entities that we should be allowed to do what we are doing because of our special case.

Depending on which comes first, I am hoping to make some sort of announcement within the next 30~60 days with some good news.

I have no idea who he is, and no one made any mentions to me about making any assertions that have been made.

My last suggestion to SatoshiPoker was to get a reasonable number of active online players and income before listing.
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Poker starting to go viral on: July 25, 2013, 02:18:46 AM
To make things VERY clear.

I am NOT managing the SatoshiPoker asset, or have any control in or over it.

I do not know who lavafish is, nor did I authorize or suggest he make any such a poor posting or move for the asset.

This asset also has not been given final approval either.

@Ukyo

Please URGENTLY look at ticket OOB-09683.  I have found a huge bug with regards to executions on rewritten options.

Your ticket was responded to. Hopefully that shed's some light on your problem.

Thanks,
Ukyo
335  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 24, 2013, 01:38:22 AM
Well this is a random complaint, but when I click on any security and go to the bid/ask screen there will be about a 2 second freeze sometime in there. This is especially prevalent on mobile devices. What happens is that the whole page loads fine, then all of a sudden the thing locks up.

It's very off putting, yes. It's the graphing code I expect. Kills iDevices and it's slow on my Mac.

We are working on fixing it. An easy fix for the moment is to go to settings and disable the chart.

Ken,

Bitfunder sucks.  Can you allow us to exchange our shares from Bitfunder to BTC-TC?  We can wait till you get back from California.

Please?

Hi Noah,

What about Bitfunder are you unhappy about that we can try to work on?
It may already be in progress.

Thanks,
Ukyo

Sorry guys, I was using the morning to work on the new logging server since we had someone trying to fill the logs.
Unfortunately my backup logging took over on the local servers and they won. I am working on moving secondary logging to another system, as well as culling back logging that is being done. (This is mostly just system logging.)
338  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: July 20, 2013, 05:22:06 AM

Thx!

Sorry, I stepped away from the computer for a few hours.

This seems pretty safe if you are already invested at Bitfunder. Because if you can't trust Ukyo you can't trust any investment on there. Wink

Thanks Tinus Smiley
