322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do People Steal Hundreds of Millions in BTC And Still Get Caught? on: January 30, 2024, 12:39:08 AM
If scam is large and involves millions of dollars, the fraudsters may prefer to return the money, get a 5% rate, and work legally in a security protection company, but most of the fraudsters are lazy, do not like to work, and want a quick profit, so they defraud middle-class people because they know that their income is limited. The possibility of tracking currencies is more difficult because of their limited resources and they rarely target the rich.
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: $35K or $45K next? on: January 30, 2024, 12:18:27 AM
The price rebound upward was surprising. Last week, we were seeing downward pressure below $38,000, but as soon as it touched this level, the price rebounded quickly. Does anyone know of any positive news that affected market sentiment to this extent?

The possibility of returning below $30,000 has become slim, so we are talking about $32,000 as a bottom and $48,000 as a peak.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: Let the air out of economy and bubble will pop on: January 30, 2024, 12:08:33 AM
What properties are you referring to? The real estate market is Chinese, American, European, or what? Real estate is linked to financing and the dollar, and both of them may witness improvement in the coming months, so purchasing real estate now may be considered a good opportunity, especially with the possibility of paying off less debt.

It is true that it is wrong to spend money to buy a house, but what is true is that it is an investment, and with any investment, you need to have a background in it, otherwise it will be bad. Even Bitcoin, without experience with it, you are betting on losing your money.
325  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: January 29, 2024, 11:49:11 PM
The only thing that has been banned is advertising mixing services. In the past, advertising anything illegal was prohibited, so this may happen in the future, but the most important thing is that discussion about anything is allowed, so if that forum turns into scam, it must be banned.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Umbrel node stuck at synchronization. 0 peer connection on: January 29, 2024, 05:24:11 AM
Actually Umbrel 0.5.4 is the current version, so why do you start from an already outdated version?
The topic is a year old and btc_penguin solved the problem without informing us of the solution.
NotSur3 You need to create a new topic with a description of your problem because btc_penguin last login was more than a month ago.
327  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top 6 Crypto Ebooks You Need to Read in 2024 on: January 29, 2024, 05:18:53 AM
You have a section about https://bookzapper.com/audiobook/ but all the links are to copies for reading, not for listening.
Your list is good, but you need more promotion as a special discount for the forum, in addition to the fact that it is allowed to promote your service for free using the ANN topic.
328  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: technical explanations for a found site? on: January 29, 2024, 05:00:47 AM
That site is a joke and cannot be taken as a dark web site because they do not have Tor links, they use cloudflare Name Servers, it has Google trackers, and there is no serious person using it to manage any illegal activity, and I think they would be blocked quickly if they decided to do so.

329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The lessons I've learnt as a bitcoin long term holder on: January 29, 2024, 04:22:15 AM
It is true that there is no ideal time to invest, but there is a bad time to invest and buy, and a bad time. These times are ideal for buying, but if you ask me after a year, I may not prefer to buy more, especially with the possibility that there will be a major correction soon.

Following the price of Bitcoin will not make you rich, and if you are a trader, you can automate a bot to execute orders while you continue your normal life. do not consider trading a full-time job, but rather something additional to increase your investments.

Telling your friends about your salary and income rate is a bad thing, let alone your future investment.
330  Economy / Economics / Re: My view of economy and oil gold and btc and war on: January 29, 2024, 04:13:31 AM
The petrodollar agreement supported the dollar for long periods, but in recent years the influence of the United States and the distribution of the dollar and US bonds in all central bank reserves makes it an independent currency from oil and does not need it. Therefore, indeed, we have oil, the dollar, and gold, and all of them may not be completely linked to each other.

Shale oil mining and the huge quantities of oil in Venezuela will prevent oil prices from rising beyond $150 per barrel.
331  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 29, 2024, 03:44:20 AM
Patreon is also partly to blame. They had a very weak security protocol. All a scammer had to do was to sign up on their website using random email addresses of other people and without email verification, the newly created accounts were able to subscribe to scam accounts. Worse still, there would be notifications of posts to unverified email addresses. So the scammers figured that they would just create phishing messages that are sent as notifications to unsuspecting user email addresses. I hope they fixed the loophole.
I do not think that is that easy If it is that easy, then this is a big problem.
There are many famous services that you can use without verifying the email. However, we have not heard of any similar cases from them.  no matter how much these services try to develop, it remains linked to email provider. If that provider takes additional measures, I think that the phishing rate will decrease by 90% or more.
332  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: EncyptoNotes app on: January 29, 2024, 03:34:40 AM
The user did not respond to any questions, but developing such applications is only used by a small group that is interested in privacy, and therefore it is difficult for them to trust your application.

I can't find other tools on Android that can do this it seems only Openkeychain app is the only app available I don't know for IOS it seems it does not yet exist.

You can try https://keybase.io. It is open source and available on IOS and has end-to-end encrypted messages. IOS is a closed source operating system and they have back doors, so using it for privacy may not be a suitable option.

333  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Scammers use Patreon to send SPAM emails on: January 26, 2024, 01:09:07 AM
I saw a lot of similar complaints on Reddit. It seems that scammers have sent this scam to thousands of people. I hope that none of them lost their money, but I think it is time for Gmail to develop a little. In recent years, they have not provided effective tools to combat phishing, while there are other service providers that have provided many edits that can help mitigate such fraud.
334  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: EncyptoNotes app on: January 26, 2024, 12:59:06 AM
What you think? Is there anything like that exists?
Yes, it is easy to use any open source Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) code and then encrypt messages or notes, and there are already many open source programs that enable you to do this.
If you want to develop a closed source application, there is no guarantee that you are using a correct encryption algorithm with a good key size (bits), as it requires trust in you and a high risk with the presence of open source applications.
335  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: One more question regarding collisions on: January 26, 2024, 12:52:03 AM
@Peter Green has a good answer to this question which you can find here https://crypto.stackexchange.com/questions/33821/how-to-deal-with-collisions-in-bitcoin-addresses
The numbers may change slightly, but the probability is very small (1/2^37) and can be considered negligible, or you have a better chance of mining Bitcoin legally instead of stealing it through hash collisions.
336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin. on: January 25, 2024, 11:51:11 PM
The best advice is, if you do not know the basics of technical analysis and risk management, then HODLing $BTC, because simply the performance of your investment portfolio will not be good because of your risk in a high-risk asset and without sufficient knowledge. In return, Bitcoin grows on the basis of the dollar annually, and long-term investment for more than 4 years is a good return.
337  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should Binance users be worried over the exchange? on: January 25, 2024, 11:43:53 PM
Should Binance users be worried over the exchange? Just opinion when you put money on centralized exchange then you should worried about it, especially in this case binance has struggled to fight with the SEC and CZ to step down from the CEO position.
You do not have to leave any crypto in Binance if you do not want to trade. You can trade with an amount of 1% to 3% of your entire investment and withdraw profits periodically to your cold storage, as short-term trading with a rate of 1% to 3% will not pose a problem if you lose it all, in the worst case scenario make the percentage 20%.
For long-term trading such as BTC/USDT, you need to deposit and withdraw currencies after conversion and then do this every few months.

Tho Binance is such a big exchange and what happened to binance might sake the world of cryptocurrency. according to coingecko and coinmarketcap the binance still at the top of number one exchange in the world
This is true, but if a problem occurs, it may take years to recover the money, and you may not be able to do that, and the basis of cryptocurrencies is that you should not trust a third party.
338  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 🟦BitChanger - The best place to exchange Crypto on: January 25, 2024, 01:29:53 AM

Your exchange started operating last year in October according to you but by December, you claim it had already processed 1 million transactions? Wow! Very impressive of you in Just 3 Months, especially give that your first trust pilot review came just 7 days ago

They have pictures of the support team. The pictures are edited to make it difficult to follow and there are no additional pictures or information about the team. The service registration date has not yet completed 6 months, and if we dig deeper, I bet we will find more. Everything related to them is suspicious.

https://bitchanger.io/our-company

I made a reverse search and did not find any data about the team or the company registration number.
339  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Searching] No KYC Trading Plattform like Kucoin on: January 25, 2024, 01:19:28 AM
central exchanges begin by not requesting much data, mostly just the email and sometimes the username, with a100 bitcoin per day. As time goes by, the service expands, and regulatory pressures increase, they will be forced to make it have KYC restriction, so that it becomes 50 bitcoin, then 10, then 10k, then 1000 dollars, and then you cannot do anything and only withdraw is available.
Therefore, all central services that you will use in the future will have a similar story.
Currently Poloniex and MECX do not ask for a lot of data, but things will inevitably change in the future and the change will be rapid. Use them now with small amounts and keep in mind that they may ask you to complete KYC at any time.
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Move - Price Prediction on: January 25, 2024, 01:07:07 AM
A quick rebound from $38,000 may give a signal that we will not go far in this correction, as indicators such as (MACD) and (AO) are still interacting positively with the price, so at the present time we will not move much and we may test $38,000 several times until mid-February. Next, ETF news has become less interactive, which means that we have reached the point of consolidation now unless anything new happens.
