Just saw the thread for the first time. Really some really good skills to learn .
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A rather negative opinion on future of BTC on: January 20, 2015, 07:41:17 PM
I think that the infrastructure is great, but it needs to be linked to money people are familiar with, otherwise nobody will be interested in it.

I think a lot of new business are trying exactly that .That and stabilizing the price should lead to more adoption.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some reasons you think Bitcoin will grow in 2015? on: January 20, 2015, 07:39:43 PM
I'm keeping my eyes out for new ventures into the cryptocurrency world. But it would be interesting to hear what you expect of Bitcoin in 2015 (and don't bother commenting if you're just going to troll).

The world always needs drugs Tongue
With laws becoming strict, more people would buy them using bitcoin Wink
324  Local / India / Re: Now we know the culprit for the price crash. It is ButterFlylabs !!! on: January 20, 2015, 07:36:32 PM
There is no one reason for the crash. It was on a downtrend for a long time and sometimes there will be crashes like this followed by periods of relative stability.
A lot of people call that price correction. Not sure what actually caused the price to go down. But it wasn't just one factor.
325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 20, 2015, 07:35:02 PM
go reddit for "price doesn't matter", read that hundred of times there during the crash

they even say that at the last miami bitcoin conference (article on coindesk) Smiley
I guess its to only avoid people from panicking and dumping their coins.
I am sure everyone feels scared if the price goes down.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Ponzi affect the price of bitcoin ? on: January 20, 2015, 07:33:23 PM
hey, I just wanna ask to you all. Do you think ponzi affect the price of bitcoin??

Not really. Unless its a very big ponzi with 10's of thousands of bitcoins, then maybe. But people are able to see through those schemes and do not invest blindly these days.

Get investing people.

140% Returns In As Little As 5 Minutes

How can you say 5 minutes ? Doesn't it depend on people who invest after the person's deposit ? Or do you mean thats the minimum time after deposit confirmation ?
328  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [35BTC INVESTED] NextPonzi.com | Weekly Reset | 100% AUTOMATIC | 130% Payout on: January 20, 2015, 11:41:57 AM
Your site seems to be a complete copy of BTCPonzi.me... Are you the same admin though? Where do you guys get this script from?

I think all ponzi sites have the same script. Probably because of people reselling the same script , or  it being available online.
329  Other / Off-topic / Re: When did you get into bitcoin? on: January 20, 2015, 11:20:30 AM
When did you sell?

Might be best to create another thread for that.
330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 20, 2015, 11:19:36 AM
wow 2 hrs without comment

what is going on?
silence before the storm (up or down Huh Huh)

Been stable for a while. No storms incoming.
331  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever go over 600 in next 5 years? (Till 2020) on: January 20, 2015, 11:18:17 AM
I don't think it would increase without any news. The only reason it might happen could be halving or the ETF.
332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where are all those millionaires? on: January 20, 2015, 11:15:14 AM
They're already in.
There are 10 people holding 1 million BTC each, so half of the supply is in the hand of 10 people.

How can you know it?

(remember the same people might have multiple addresses)

Also the supply increases every day

Yeah I don't think that would be true. Because, then on;y 4 million bitcoin would be in cicrulation amongst all the other people.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mentally coping with Loss - Thread on: January 20, 2015, 11:13:22 AM
hodl

agree with you.

You only lose if you sell

Are you serious. I don't think thats true at all. Even if you had only 1 bitcoin, you would have lost 400$ on average in the last 6 months. How would holding have prevented that loss ?
334  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: BITCOINS FOR SELL AT CHEAPEST RATE FOR BANK TRANSFER on: January 20, 2015, 11:11:05 AM
hi, i did a successful first trade of 0.36 btc with ganee

https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/streetburner/

@LEGENDSTER

i think its better 2 have 0 trust than -ve one lol

I don't think just because you did trades with another person on localbitcoin, you would be clear to not use an escrow.
There is no risk for either of you having an escrow, and not doing it just points fingers.

Let's see how long this lasts...

Seems like it already closed in an hour. No idea why. Only 0.014 was deposited by someone.

337  Economy / Gambling / Re: Provably fair, correct me if I'm wrong on: January 20, 2015, 11:03:31 AM
Many bitcoin gambling sites state that they are provable fair.
Let's assume they are.

But what if they bet on their own game many many times, wouldn't they increase their profit by doing so?
If they create the highest betting volume, they have a higher stake in the whole game.

Do I miss something?

This probably applies to only invest only sites. I think thats a risk investors have to take. Some sites have tried to come up with a provably fair invest model as well. Not sure how successful that has beeen.
338  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: WeeklyPonzi.com 'v3' | 100% Automated | Secure | 130% Return | 700+ BTC Invested on: January 20, 2015, 11:01:03 AM
There's just not enough people playing. The timer is too hard to read, otherwise I would have profited again.

You're right. We need more people to play.

That's impossible, every week there will be less players since some of players already lost their bitcoin because they are late to invest
Next week you'll see less players than this week

I don't know how valid is that, as ponzis have existed since the last 2-3 years. So people who tried it then, would have lost money. But still went ahead and tried it this time as well.
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: return of the dead cat on: January 20, 2015, 12:16:38 AM
This is it, the top of the dead cat bounce. Put your sell orders and shorts now or lose massively.
You have been warned.

People have been warning people for the entire year .
