They are different and have enough room for both and others.
When Waves implement smart contracts and have many independent developers on the platform then we can think about it again. I don't think Waves has enough time and development to become decentralized so far. I like their visions though.

We've seen perfect ICOs returnings. And perfect trading opportunities lately. Seemingly combination of those two most profitable.
But I prefer to go with the long term. Maybe less earning but it has own advantages.

I used to invest more mostly but BTC went up too much and I'm more careful while investing in ICOs.
