Every now and then, some dumbass comes along and thinks the FBI will help.

This is one of those times.

Every time I watch that Marcello video in your sig, I LMAO  Cheesy

Regarding your FBI comment, it would be very irresponsible not to try to compile some info and submit it to multiple authorities. After all we are a large group of victims and Marcello or whatever the F his name is deserves to rot in jail.

Not reporting him, would encourage him and even others to pursue this criminal path, damage further the Bitcoin community, and eliminate any chances of restoration or closure.

If you are (a victim) "one of us" and are also angry, I suggest you put your energy into helping rather than insulting.

If you are not a victim, then you should say your "I told you so" and close the door behind you.

If you really need to, you can come back to say more "I told you so"s as long as you don't insult the victims  Roll Eyes

Neither Martingale nor any other strategy will ever work on a dice site. It's random, and the house edge is here to benefit the owners, not the players.
Hroub, one day your strategy will give you enough losses to empty your balance.

I'm sure of that, and that's simply because (using n choose k formula), as the number or rolls k approaches infinity, the probability getting more than 12 losing streaks (n>12) increases  Undecided

I just really hope this doesn't happen before I make the BTC1.3 that I lost like a crazed lunatic. As soon as my balance becomes BTC1.3 BTC,  probably gonna withdraw BTC1.2 and leave BTC0.1 to finally start making some profit... Or maybe I'll find a way to leave it there but not allow myself to touch it so that it gains the 4.08% APR... Until then I'll be training myself to remain cool and not get greedy again  Grin

EDIT: I think I have the n and the k reversed. I haven't done probability and statistics problems in 4 years... I think I should have said:

as the number or rolls n approaches infinity, the probability choosing k losing streaks increases.

Don Pedro is right! But still some people think that Martingale will work. Listen to the advice of the senior members here on the forum: gambling strategies such as Martingale or other strategies will not work.
Isn't that what I said in post above yours? You basically changed word or two  Roll Eyes

Since you quoted my post:
For everyone that rushed into concluding that I promoted Martingale:

Martingale by itself does not work!!!
Where have I used word "martingale"?

Besides, no one rushed into conclusion because you said:
Research game theories, betting theories like Martingale
It's harder than it sounds, but stick to your strategy with cool nerves.
Expect to zero your balance a few times before learning how to do the above 3
Roll Eyes

Hahaha. ur're absolutely right! You said "suggesting that it will somehow help him is wrong, such strategies doesn't exists. Strategy will work and all of sudden it won't" and I guess I wrongly assumed you were implying the one we talking about. (I don't want to say its name again, or the boogie man may show up.  Cheesy

I've been using this faucet but always end up with 0 when I try the games, any advice to actually build a balance?

Listen to this guy:

Very simple don't play hi-low game then you will not lose your balance.
Faucet money is very small and it can't last for long playing this game and also house has got high house edge and your balance will be eaten up faster. If you want to earn money then don't gamble either on this site or on any other site.
(edited in bold)

Don’t listen to this guy:

First, Accumulate at least 2000 satoshi. EDIT: make that 2048 satoshi, so you would still make profit if you win after the EDIT: 11th loss
Research game theories, betting theories like Martingale
It's harder than it sounds, but stick to your strategy with cool nerves.
Expect to zero your balance a few times before learning how to do the above 3

He is talking rubbish. Forget about Martingale, you risk more every time to earn little, and long losing streaks end up occurring, I’ve already explained it here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2107981.msg25261065#msg25261065

So this guy is telling him, not to listen to me. Therefore:
Do not accumulate at least 2000 satoshi (using the faucet. just let it go to waste)
Do not research game theories and betting theories (to learn how to bet)
Do not stick to the strategy with cool nerves (so u can bet like a maniac)
Do not expect to zero your balance

looooool great advice   Tongue    ... NOT

For the record, I never advised using martingale. I advised researching it and adapting it to your self (like I did).

Unlike Pedro, I won't tell you who to listen to and who not to. I will insist you do as much research as possible and listen to everyone you can before gambling your BTC

If you want to be 99.99% safe, then just stick to the hourly faucet. If you manage to roll 24 times a day for 30 days (with the 1000% BTC bonus from reward points), you should be able to make about $48 a month in BTC

Sorry, but I won't share my modified version of martingale in public
I fully agree with Don Pedro.
Advising to someone to do research about random strategies and suggesting that it will somehow help him is wrong, such strategies doesn't exists. Strategy will work and all of sudden it won't. If something is random and you can't apply math or long term strategy it is dice.

For everyone that rushed into concluding that I promoted Martingale:

Martingale by itself does not work!!!

A gambler must adapt it to his habits, luck and make sure he has enough Satoshi to survive many losing streaks, and think of little things like how likely would u get 2 streaks in a row, and how likely would u get 3 or more losing streaks in a row. the chance of losing literlay half everytime you lose, but there is still a chance, and u could use that to your advantage.

I'm not an expert or anything. since I started over 5 days ago, I only have BTC 0.00056093 in my balance... I waited till I accumulated 2000 sat, then just multiplied minimum bets (using a strategy somewhat similar to martingale) and increased my balance about 10% per day (trying to not be greedy). If I play for too long like I used to, I would lose my cool, get greedy and lose everything.

So again:

do not ignore anyone,
do your research,
figure out your strategy
practice with tiny amounts until u get the hang of it and grow your "cool tolerance". Its much easier to lose your cool/patience on larger amounts, but if u practice and lose using say 2-4k satishi you accumulated from the faucet, u'll eventually grow your balance and "coolness"  Wink

In the end, when it comes to gambling there are no guarantees, anything can happen and in this site (like most) odds are against you
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker v Other casino games online on: December 02, 2017, 01:03:36 PM
I mostly like to play Roulette, and sometime the slot machines.

Roulette is simple especially when you apply martingale strategy to the colors, either black or red or the numbers  either even or odd. I've made so me cool money that way but you must have an unlimited bankroll to be successful with martingale .
Martingale never works on any games , believe me its just luck that you came out victorious . I prefer other strategies though ( there are tons of strategies for roulette ) .

I doubt he is telling the truth. When you apply martingale what you do is the following:

You bet $10 (for example), and you lose, so you double your bet. In that second bet you are putting $20 on the table but you have already lost $10, so you have spent 10+20= $30. If you win, you get $40 but you spent $30, so you only won $10 (actually a bit less).

If you lose that second bet, you double it again, but again you have already spent $70 and if you win you will only get a net profit of $10.
So, what you are doing is risking more money every time, actually doubling your risk, to make little profit.

It would be interesting if he explains how he made so much cool money using martingale.

Hint: he said: "you must have an unlimited bankroll to be successful with martingale" which is why I mentioned you need to have accumulated over 2048 satoshi (and start playing with 1 satoshi). My modified version requires a minimum balance of double that.

It depends how safe you want to be. with a minimum of 2048,  would give you the chance to survive up to a 12x losing streak, with 32768 staoshi you could survive a 16x losing streak. with 0.00524288 BTC, you could survive up to 20x losing streak... and so on. All assuming your starting bet is 1 satoshi.

So he's not necessarily lying!

If he had lets say he has the following:

balance: BTC27:

starting bet: 10 satoshi

He should be able (by average) to survive a 29x losing streak. The probability of losing 29 times in a row is veeeery very unlikely

i just lost every btc that collect by week Sad .
can't controlled my emotion on lottery , especially multiple btc
what kind of game lol

Welcome to the club! I lost 1.3 BTC in here before I learned how to control my emotions and gamble. After that, I just kept rolling and losing everything at the end of the week for two weeks. Thankfully, I have made up almost 0.0005 BTC since my last post and loss(4 days ago) just by claiming the free rolls and multiplying, and striclty following a technique.

If you "need" to try and make some back:
- research gambling techniques. I keep forgetting the name of the modified technique I am using...
- Do not let yourself get greedy. It's better to play small amounts and be safe than to risk high amounts and be sorry. Patience!
- Even with the best technique and the coolest nerves, the game depends highly on luck and odds are against you. So if you consider yourself unlucky (like me) better not invest more

Good luck!
You got it right, it all depends on the luck, never ever try to be dependent upon the techniques that various people tell you. You'll always end up loosing your money.
Also , nothing against the website, but idea of gambling amounts as big as 1.3 btc on this faucets isnt very intelligent . The faucets offers very high house edge as compared to the already present gambling website with the same mechanism, so better to use website offering house edge of around 1%.

You're right. I was really stupid, weak, crazy and embarrassing moment... I was never a gambler until I met this site. In fact, I used to hate gambling and I think I still do. Since I don't dare to gamble more personal BTC, I'd rather stay here, claim faucets, carefully and calmly multiply and hope to win some of my losses in a lottery... one day... some day...  Wink

I know! I'm trying to figure out how to learn how to research and analyze BTC charts to be able to make an educated guess and buy BTC before the price goes to the moon. Can anyone suggest an online course or video that could help me understand and guess BTC chart projections? Thanks
334  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: December 02, 2017, 02:59:18 AM
For now its better to hold it right now because block halving will be done at july 11.. and the price of bitcoin will be double.. this is i think the best way and safe way right now to do to make a profit with your 12 btc..
As of now i never see trusted investment site for now..

Unless bitcoin's userbase becomes larger, bitcoin will not double in price. It simply won't be sustainable. If it doubled every halving, think about the price after the last halving, in 2140.

This.

Hype is mostly over by now. Halving hype is not that big and not enough either. The biggest hype was in 2013 (Gox Hype) and it was actually a scam. No more hypes after that. As long as bitcoin don't reach more people it will stay @ 400-450$ and i am being optimistic here. It will probably go down to 390$'s first. And if there won't be a new hype 300$'s won't be too far away.

And don't expect btc/1000$ for another 10 years if we see another huge dump. Because people gonna lose hope in bitcoin. What we gonna see maybe Satoshi will buy his own coins in order to lure people in again but i don't think that will work again.

Poor guy. He was soooo wrooong!    Cheesy Grin Tongue

337  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advantages of bitcoin cloud mining on: December 02, 2017, 01:20:09 AM

1. Start hashing immediately!
Escape the noise, costly electricity bills, and warranty headaches.

2. Stable
Mining deployment on a global scale 99.9% uptime guaranteed!
Detailed statistics provided.

3. Flexible
Start mining with even just one gigahash.
Trade and transfer hashrate with ease.

1. But i will get the electricity cost and the maintenance cost. What's the different thing? But i can make
2. I don't think so.
3 Just with a gigahash and I can't pay the transaction fees. The bitcoin mining will be worthy if we can get hundreds gigahash. Every cloud mining site was offering to trade his hashrate power and i'd like to call it hashmarket.
In my opinion about the cloud mining site is not worthy again right now. I will never meet my ROI.

Whether you will make ROI, not only depends on difficulty, but it really depends on your electric cost. If you are living in a country with expensive electricity, chances are you will make ROI faster with hashnest coud mining, because of their cheap chinese electric cost. only $0.07 per KWh currently... Whre I live right now its almost $0.023 per KWh, so mining here is a big NONO...

The best way to make a decision would be to compare your electric cost with theirs as well as Bitmain ASIC with Hashnests, to figure out your best choice for best ROI and profit. You should notice that an S9 is cheaper to buy on Bitmain and have it shipped to you, but chances are that electricity will cost you more than their maintenance fee...

Are there gonna be any new S9 or S9+ batches on Hashnest? Where should I be for such an announcement?

And where should I look out for the T9 release announcement?

Hey. Any new PACMiC coming out soon?
340  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining vs Hashflare Review - Which is better? on: December 02, 2017, 12:17:17 AM
The most legit, if not the only legit cloud mining is offered by Hashnest.

Hashnest is a Bitmain company that throughout the years has been producing the most powerful and efficient ASIC miners. Currently they sell the AntS9 (SHA256 miner), AntL3+ (scrypt miner), and AntS3 (X11 miner). AntT9 coming soon.

The reasons they have been able to stay legit in cloud mining:

1) Hashnest produces their own famous Antmain ASICs. Do not buy mining rigs from "middlemen"
2) They are based in China where electricity is sooooooo cheap. Therefore low maintenance fees (I believe if you are located in an expensive energy country like I am right now, physical home mining would be less profitable than Hashnest.
3) Their mining pool has about 20% of the global BTC hashrate.
4) Unfortunately i think they are trying to centralize or control bcash, so no room for any scams or they will fail in centralizing it.
5) They also have hash market. Where people could trade their hashes for BTC
6) If an ASIC becomes unprofitable, they give you the option to have it shipped to you (since it belongs to you), but you would have to pay shipping and handling fees.
7) Recently they created some lottery system where u can buy tickets with Bitcoin to win a miner like S9
Cool They also have the PACMIC contracts which are very low risk, but low yield (currently not offered because of the stupid forks)
9) They keep trying to reduce electric cost and making making announcements about it. Right now I believe is about $0.07 per KWhr. I remember it used to be $0.09 like 2 years ago and at some point they announced it up to $0.11 temporarily due to some disagreement with their power supplier, until they changed it as brought it back to $0.09
10) There is no HashNest referral program! (Usually associated with scams, ponzis, pyramid schemes HYIPs, ... etc.)

NOTE: passive mining at Hashnest is only profitable if you buy a whole miner from them (at lower cost per GH than the markateplace). You could make extra profit by buying low and selling high, but you won't make any ROI if you just buy hash shares from the market.

That said, although I already made ROI on 2 S7 miners in about a year (S7 still profitable on hashnest), I have been desperately trying to by an S9 miner since March. I was too late to the party when they released S9 contracts and there hasn't been any announcements of any further S9 batches. They are in huge demand and tough to grab. My only advice is to try to check daily for announcements and the Hashnest store for when a new batch becomes available for cloudmining. They used to release like 3-4 batches a year, but the more time passes the less batches they are releasing, which makes some sense. Usually mining operations need capital in the beginning, the more they grow their mining operation, the less capital they need from investors to produce more ASICS for their personal use.

Now my turn to ask!  Tongue

Does anyone have any insight or experience with NiceHash? I've been trying to figure them out but there's too many variables. I'm finding it hard to believe that NiceHash is profitable since there are 2 middlemen: the hashrate renter and NiceHash. Also, if someone has a mining rig with cheap maintenance, Why on earth would he rent it out rather than making all the mining profit himself?
