321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This PROVES market manipulation, 20,000 BTC order at same time on 3 exchanges! on: April 07, 2019, 07:35:27 AM
I think this is a move by the whales or a single whale in crypto. If I think someone confirms this and send a screenshot on how they play, we can see that this could be a trap by the whales. OP must send us:
  • The screenshot of the orders.
  • The exchange used by the whale.

During my research as saw this article.
The exchanges mentioned are: Kraken, Coinbase and Bitstamp. The article includes that that this is the craziest 5 minute chart they've seen. I think it's a trap. We've just been hyped. Grin
We are not trapped and we are still on course provided we don’t join people that will panic sell and release their holding to them for a token that would have fetched them so much more in future, if we can keep holding our coin and desist a little bit from short term trading, because that is one of the easiest way they get to investors.

If you are a very long-term investor, they will have no way to easily come in to your space and for short term traders, I wouldn’t say you should stop, just be very careful when selling, try as much as possible to watch their movement before making your own move, just play along with them too.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoin with PayPal payment on: April 07, 2019, 06:52:40 AM
Guys, we have recently launched an option in Raison.ai to buy BTC/ETC with depositing  from PayPal. Currently it is available and works great in mobile web app at https://m.raison.ai. We would like to know what is the demand for such service - PayPal->BTC. Could it be useful for you?
I just see using PayPal as an additional fees burden placed on one because PayPal also charges certain percentage per transaction to make use of their services, in the case of paying for goods, receiver could decide to bear the cost or the sender, but in this case, the sender will have to bear the burden, you will see pay for exchanges fee on that transaction too and if you are to trade with the money, you still pay additional trading fee again, aren’t these a little bit too high when one is not sure of the profit you can get on that transaction, except such transaction is juts for payment and not for investment, the sender can decide to overlook the charges.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trust in new crypto-trading apps? on: April 07, 2019, 06:19:47 AM
Building trust will take some time, for new exchange if that's what you mean we can use it and test if the business is for real, using small amount of your assets just to see how things works around this new trading site, all of those we called successful exchange also begin in small steps and slowly gather trust from their participants and supporters.
Must be a wise advice, sometime it is good to give them the benefits of doubt by testing them with our small assets because if we all keep away for them, how are we going to know how functional and solid they are, and we should stop pushing others to this, waiting for other to do the assignment for us, why can’t we be the hero and take the lead, then we can give the rest feedback for their further investigation.

These exchanges are nothing without the users, so how will they function properly if we don’t go into their arena. I just hope that some of these exchanges will start rewarding those who stood by them from the beginning because it takes lots of courage to do so.
324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here we are! lovers' of bullish trend. on: April 06, 2019, 09:13:33 PM
Also remember that just because we’re in a bullish trend temporarily does not mean we’re out of the worst of the bear market yet. This recent rally failed to break $5300 (more significant resistance at ~$5500 too), and might continue to break downwards from here as there does not seem to be a significant amount of supports below this price point as we rose so quickly in price. Best you can do now is to not be too greedy if you choose to be bullish or bearish, the market’s slowly shifting from bear to bull but we aren’t in a full blown bull market yet.
Right, now we have the chances of downfall on the bitcoin prices because people who bought the bitcoin at $3000 range might cashout now to get huge profits it will lag the bull trend to  continue.Hopefully we don't see much price fall in the near future that is the only way to bring crazy bull run again.
If they had wanted to, they would have done so, not many people want to cash out to leave the market permanently, they will only desire to cash out so they can buy more at dip, but because of FUD, they will continue holding because at the time they decide to cash out, anything might happen that would even make the price of BTC shoot up by 2x which will be too expensive to buy then.

Aside that, we also consider the ratio of people who bought t $3000, to $4000 and some even just bought at $4900, if we look at the recent spike, the investors that made this price shut so high came in when market was $4200, so the percentage of $3000 holders might not be enough to really pull the market down. There are so many investors by the door step even waiting for a little price crash and would rush in at any slight opportunity.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know the trustworthyness of a new coin? on: April 06, 2019, 08:16:01 PM
If I were you I would never trade a new coin. Because you can not know its trustworthyness. It is not so hard to find trustable coin, just check top20 in cmc website.
But, I would say trade a new coin but never have you invested in it for a long term purpose.

New coins are even the sweetest and fastest way to make money, every coin that enters an exchange newly seriously has the chances of getting pumped within few weeks, once you can invest in them before the pump, you will be lucky to make huge profit after the pump once you can catch it, though not the safest means but still the surest means of making quick money.

At the same time, when it comes to investing as long term, it is sure not the best way to get engaged in new coins except the project is a very good one that the investor can really vouch for.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solutions to KYC complain of some Bounty Hunters on: April 06, 2019, 07:45:33 PM
Here are my solution to growing complained by the bounty hunters regarding KYC.

1. As we all know KYC by its definition. We all know that we aren't obliged to do so. Since no fiat or investment we did to get the tokens which solely the purpose of KYC to monitor the funds ans circulation of token during purchase. Don't comply and don't join bounty with KYC! Simple as that.

2. If youre afraid of KYC asked someone to do it for you and gave him funds in return. I think this is happening on some cases ( But this is form of cheating)

3. Read again step 1. If youre still have complain and still want to join that particular bounty and you are really a nutcracker!
What you're saying is true. And what is the solution for projects that want KYC when the bounty campaign is over? Because they did not want kyc at the beginning of campaign.
I truly don’t know too, there is this project that I participated in then called AFCASH of Africunia Bank, I was surprised too that they didn’t ask us to do KYC from the beginning until after ICO has ended and they were about distributing tokens which was even for hunters.

I really don’t see sense in any of these policy, this is why we are not moving forward because of too many competition in this crypto investment, once one project hears that the others are doing something, they all tend to do the same without first checking if it is necessary or not. Why we are then in a decentralized system, if they still do all these things found n a centralized system.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alt millionaire on the next bull run on: April 06, 2019, 07:22:48 PM
Alt coin are doing great most especially when it has potential and a good eco system to support it, the future crypto millionaires are majorly going to come from altcoins investors because a good alt coin has the potential to give you 100% turn over within a short period of time.
Altcoins even have the tendency of given more than 100%, I don’t know of the altcoins we have as of now, but the altcoins that I know which I held some before the last bull run of 2017/2018 had their value even shoot up as high as 1500% at some poin.

So, altcoins are what you can invest with little capital and become a millionaire through it like you said, but we still have to invest in very good altcoins that have the chance of increasing that way with good products, otherwise, we will end up wasting our time with these shitcoins believing they will rise.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death Penalty to ICO Scammers! Are you favor it? on: April 06, 2019, 12:18:47 PM
I agree that this scammers definitely need to be brought to book but a death penalty is definitely extreme.Afterall the death penalty will not refund lost funds and this is the reason why I believe crypto- space require more regulations pertaining ICOs.
i dont think death is a good way to deal with scammers, no matter what we do to scammers, we can not take the money back, so instead of punish them, we should find another way to stop scammers and making the ICOs become more safer and better.
Mere scammers, don’t tell me the wickedness of this world has thought you lessons so hard that you have become heartless, is it because you don’t see these investors cry ? Maybe then, you will realized the extent of damage they do cause to some of these investors that has already fallen victim of scam.

Stealing is stealing and if caught, they should be put to death, it is just so unfortunate that they system is a decentralized one that creates anonymity, so it will be difficult to go after them, even if one wants to use whitepaper in going after them, one will end up killing innocent people because the faces we see on whitepapers are not the real face of these scammers.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: April 06, 2019, 11:07:02 AM
Thanks to all who replied in my thread to help me about the dice game. I have now scanned some posts and find that there is no way or strategy for surely winning a dice game. Only LUCK is the factor that can help to win a dice game.
That's good tot hear than somehow you were able to get the right answer.
You can now make a right decision in playing dice, you can enjoy it but never be too aggressive as luck is not going to be with you all the time.
When it comes to gambling, things do not work just according to the LUCK. This should be understood and I think that you still can play and come up with your own good strategies in the dice game. Half of the game depends on your ability to win and not on luck so if you are really interested in winning the gambling. This further depends on how many strategies can you make of the few common tricks in the market.

Dice must be a simplest way of entertainment thing for both gamblers and for gambling houses and I am damn sure that it was not innovated for profit making. It is purely an entertainment thing, and trying out it for profit making definitely will lead to big disappointments over the times.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler = Future's Failure on: April 06, 2019, 09:36:06 AM
Gamble responsibly and you will not become a failure.
Think of the entertainment, rather than the possible profit you will get in gambling, it's fun to gamble if you just play for fun than have a mission to win.
Some gamblers failed because their approach is wrong, you should know yours, understand that you are taking a risk.
The gambling responsibility sounds a bit hilarious because of the uncertainty in gambling which is a factor that cannot be exempted. But, I believe that gambling is not something that makes you a looser but an opportunist that is always fruitful in the rest of life.

I am part of sports gambling and I have made more than I have lost which means I am not a loser. So, this is very important to understand that you can make money if you are optimistic and agreed to learn. Keep trying where we have lost is completely meaning less but we should innovate where we could recover our losses and this is the reason I switched over to sports betting and I am not a future's failure anymore  Cheesy.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling responsibly, is it possible or myth? on: April 06, 2019, 08:35:53 AM
Whether gambling for fun or for money, if there’s no discipline, it will still lead to disaster because some people who are suffering from addiction today started by only playing for fun. Some never imagined it will get to a point in their life they would become so addicted to the game but if only it was controlled at the beginning.

If everyone can apply discipline in playing gambling, there will be no stories of how someone got ruined by playing gambling. So the idea is for whatever reason we gamble, weather for fun or for money, we have to apply discipline from the onset of the game and never gamble what we cannot afford to lose.
You have a good point because many times people just think it’s only those who gamble for money that gamble without discipline but the reality is anyone can actually gamble irresponsibly. In short it is possible that the highest numbers of gamblers who play without discipline are the so called gamblers that play for fun. Too much of fun can also lead to addiction, or why do we drug and sexual addiction. They all happen out of fun.

Addiction works with time. Those that spend too much time playing the game will someday become addicted so it’s better for every player to play moderately. Let’s always have it at the back of the mind that spending too much time on a casino site is wrong. Set alarm on how many hours we wish to spend each day.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling sites needs to be a mobile friendly or not? on: April 06, 2019, 07:46:50 AM
If i am developer of a site i will make my site mobile friendly. I think not only in gambling theme, but almost all site must be mobile friendly because nowadays a lot of people use their smartphone and carry it everywhere.
Yes, they do still things need to be improved. I have been reading a lot of complaints about how the gambling sites are not users friendly. Know you costumer has been an issue lately and though it is a form of anti money laundering regulation and is required to ensure transparency, it is not user friendly because many people around just do not find it secure to share their information.

Moreover, after transparency and user friendly there are certain gambling websites that are designed to make you lose no mater how hard you play. Is it possible to deal with it on the go with your mobile ? I guess, gambling from your desktop or laptop with full set up may help to fight against that kind of rigged houses rather than just trying on mobile on the go.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 05, 2019, 07:58:47 PM
Big players turn other players into what they need and the other players just become what is needed according to teams needs and just go with it.

I remember clearly it happened twice with Lebron for example, Lebron made Chris Bosh into a role player whereas he was a all around star at Raptors however dude turned into a shooter/rebounder with Lebron. Same happened with Kevin Love, dude was a star at wolves and was loved but when he moved to Cavs he became a shooter/rebounder because that's what Lebron needs.

When you play with Westbrook and you are a great player like Bosh/Love and in this case PG, you do not try to do what you can do at max but you just try to do whats needed from the team, PG just scores when needed and defends very well, that is whats asked from him and that is what he does, do you think he can't rebound more ? Dude is grabbing 8.2 rebounds on top of Westbrooks triple doubles but when he sees Westbrook he just runs because he knows Westbrook will pass to him if he is open and he plays that way.

Hell even Steven Adams who has been leading the league in offensive rebounds for many years now grabs less rebounds on defensive end just so Westbrook can get it. This is not "stat padding" it is just their system and that is all they can do at this point, maybe with a coaching change it will be different but with Billy Donovan and his system Westbrook will continue to get triple doubles forever.
334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash having nices days! on: April 05, 2019, 05:23:40 PM
Bitcoin has just crossed $5000 and bitcoin cash has recovered significantly and it is currently trading around $280.  I think we the lovers of bullish trend like what is happening now in cryptocurrencies market.  I just refresh https://coinmarketcap.com and almost all the coins in the first page are in green and litecoin has making gain of over 25%! I think 2019 is going to be a bullish year because that is the same process that happened in 2015 and 2017. April was when price changes directions in those years and I think the samething is happening again.  Goodluck to all the cryptocurrencies holders.
Thanks for reminding me of what April stands for in cryptocurrency, I almost forgot that it was about the time I introduced a friend to crypto which was my first time of convincing someone to invest, then I think it was just about $1200, so if Bitcoin is to follow same trend, I think it is high time we start accumulating more because this is just the beginning of the bull run, it automatically means that this year will continue to be green all through.

But, taking a look at coinmarketcap, most of the altcoins that are growing along with BTC are mostly the top 30 coins, does it mean that other coins are just shitcoins or it is not yet their own time?
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO IS WAY BETTER on: April 05, 2019, 04:48:40 PM
if IEO was not better than ICO, investors would not put their money on it.
The fact that the IEO in binance exchange always sold out, show that many investors are more interested in IEO.
Who would see fire and deep his hand in it, virtually every investors prefer more of IEO projects, the reason why we have not seen it shown all over the net is that much is because investing in IEO has some financial conditions too that needs to be met by investors which virtually not everyone will be able to meet it

Because, I understand that part of Binance condition is that the investor must put in minimum amount of$1600 and I guess this is one of the reason why most of these IEO gets sold out on time, although IEO will not be without its own risk too but not as much as the one of ICO which is scam.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A true crypto enthusiast must be courageous on: April 05, 2019, 10:07:30 AM
In some sense the courage that we might thinking might even bring us to go down, yes, risk taking is a key part of our crypto enthusiasm life, but we also have our intuition that will help us to determine the winning decision that we can execute. These skills should be well enhance, not all are getting successful just through being courageous.
Well said mate, I am of the opinion too that no matter how courageous you may think you are, if an investor do not choose his or her battle well, they will end up making the greatest mistake of their life.

The most important thing is the strategy one applies to an investment and also the purpose of an investment, I don’t think long term investors need courage to make decision of when to remove their investment because time will automatically tell about that but they only need the courage to take the risk of investing, while trader needs courage for both and at the same time, requires their knowledge and strategy to succeed.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: who are they behind ico? on: April 04, 2019, 07:15:30 AM
every ico has their own team. I don't think behind ico there is only 1 person.
and I see 90% of ico use the ethereum platform.
Team work is what really makes an ICO successful but if the OP is so much curious about the initiator, maybe he should do his further research to look out for the team leader and probably he might be the originator, but what we should be more concerned about is the project itself and its object, and also the thing involved in such project be it external body or internal body.

If the project has a very good working product and very sound and already successful intelligent team in place, then we have no fear of falling into the wrong project or being a victim of scam.
338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profit or keep the position open? (Bitmex) on: April 04, 2019, 05:24:31 AM
So many kind and constructive posts, thanks @ all!

Actually I closed the whole position yesterday @ 4700$.
Before going to bed, I reopened it, but with a smaller leverage - so I was still up 26% this morning. Yeay!

My balance increased from 0.026 to 0.065 in a matter of 48 hours. Am pretty impressed  Shocked

I closed the position again now. I am going to wait and see how the market moves.
Lucky you, I did same thing although I think I did more of gambling with mine, do I say gambling or intuition, I didn’t really make use of technical analysis before setting my trade again believing it will touch the $5000. I think I sold $6725 and stopped monitoring the price movement till it suddenly jumped on me to check my trade, luckily it coincided with the exact time BTC got to $5025, which I closed my trade immediately, shortly after I did, the price dropped below $4900, so I am still looking for the best spot to buy back again and I do hope I don’t get locked out, though I only sold certain portion of my BTC and not all.
339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3% loss 10% profit -> sell on: April 03, 2019, 08:53:30 PM
It all depends on how many coins you have and what coins you hold and will be profitable or not, if all of them support why not and it is more suitable for the daily trading system that you must always monitor.
and in my opinion what you do is good and at least you sell it when it rises even though it's a little.
Monitoring the graphs each time while we have invested our money into it is mostly what everyone follows. Also i don't feel that even selling the coins when it is just a little above the price we buy as it would not actually give us that profit excluding the fees we would lose into trading with them.

We should always be patient in our whole trading career and try to avoid greed as it would really end up giving pretty less or no profits. Stop-loss is a must for each transaction we handle because it really proves very useful for avoiding major loss. If you be careless and neglect after buying than surely you may end up with no profits so it is always better to stop-loss.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Should Be Exempted from KYC/AML Procedures on: April 03, 2019, 07:52:01 PM
Our point is very valid logically, but system wise it will give the company more stress doing so because most purchases done requires participant to register on the website of the project and in programming, they have to instruct the site to request for a details which part of it is KYC/AML and they use this same form for everyone making use of the site, whether bounty hunter or investor.

If they are to start separating bounty hunters, fine, programmers can do it by leaving an option for the person to choose either if he is an investor or hunter, what If someone who wants to use the system to launder money comes in to register as a hunter? That would have defeated the objective of the KYC.
