321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on the current market dwindling? on: February 06, 2019, 12:56:27 PM
that is the natural course of the market. it was pumped for a long time, nearly a year and now it is experiencing the dumping part of that exact pump.

it is always like this, when the altcoins are pumped, they need to be dumped first before they can be pumped again. so far we have had many altcoins that got dumped completely and have started their new course of pumps but the top altcoins (the big ones) are still not dumped completely which is why they can not be pumped yet.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ico should i get in for a long investment on: February 06, 2019, 12:43:16 PM
all these things you named here are just "ideas" ore better we call them false promises with no returns. we have seen all of them before too. it is not like they have come up with something new. it is the repetition of all the previous ideas that people may have found interesting at some point so they used it to get their attention and then their money.
there is no profit in ICOs anymore.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you ever wonder, this is what it costs to develop an ICO from scratch on: February 06, 2019, 12:35:57 PM
the only cost of an ICO is its advertisement. otherwise there is absolutely no other cost specially since 90% of the ICOs are just copying from each other and all projects being open source makes it easy for them to just create one at a snap of a finger.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: February 03, 2019, 01:26:37 PM
the possibility of a bull run this year, most probably in the first quarter is a high one. we won't see the ATH for a long time though but it will be a nice rise. and since the price is extremely low right now, any rise to previous values will be a very big one. for example to reach the previous bottom at $6k we will have a 100% rise and that is great.

then the next year's halving will be the icing on the cake and will help the price shoot to the ATH and beyond that will happen next. so in 2 years from now we will probably be seeing $100k at least.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One year celebration of my prediction!!! on: February 03, 2019, 01:15:54 PM
if you truly could predict the market then you wouldn't have wasted your time posting nonsense on bitcointalk. you would have instead started shorting bitcoin and made millions from it and spent your time enjoying your millions of dollars profit.

but since you are full of it, you are only trolling on bitcointalk for attention.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nvidia Made Billions From Ethereum Crypto Mining Says Analyst on: February 03, 2019, 12:54:36 PM
i think you have to ask this question in the altcoin mining board if you want a more focused audience but in my opinion that is a false statistics and since the source of it is not one of the trusted ones i am going with my assumption.
besides nowadays with the price drop in ETH and all the other mineable altcoins nobody is buying new GPUs to mine them. not to mention that with the release of ETH ASIC miners i don't think miners are going to risk investing in new GPU rigs that can be turned into brick!
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Security Tokens are the Future on: February 03, 2019, 12:45:16 PM

In our this interview Jamie H. Finn - Co-Founder & President of Securitize - tells us how digitized securities can make the trade of private placements more efficient by shortening it from a 12-Step into a 3-Step process

https://stocheck.com/blog/securitize-why-security-tokens-are-the-future
And then why most of regulators are putting utility at the top of everything? that doesn't make sense. Security means our shares in the company that means we have acquisition based on how much shares that owned by us and utility much more focused on the usefulness.

there should first be a company that you invest in not a bunch of kinds creating a virtual imaginary place and call that a "company". and a company needs to also produce something, either some kind of product or some actual service. and so far the concept of  company has been some dude raising money to release a smart contract which he copied from somewhere else. before it used to be called ICO and now it is called STO.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: am I wrong ??? on: February 03, 2019, 12:34:08 PM
that is a terrible idea and it will not change anything at all.
it is terrible because you are forcing people to hold your coin whereas you should have tried making them see the potential of the coin and choose to hold on their own. in other words if a project does that, then the developers are admitting that their coin is a shitcoin that nobody is going to hold unless they are forced to do so.

it is not going to change anything because it is not just the bounty hunters that dump a coin! it is everyone else. and you can't force everyone else to hold! they will dump. not to mention that when that date comes, the bounty hunters will also dump so you are just delaying the inevitable.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins follow the path of silver on: February 03, 2019, 12:24:40 PM
i don't think so.
the cryptocurrencies are still new and the technology has a lot of room to grow. but so far we have mostly seen terrible altcoins which have no other destination than death. and it has been like this for a long time too. a lot of altcoins are being created and they all die sooner or later to be replaced by new ones.
eventually though, we will see better coins  in about 5 to 10 years and then you can talk about which direction they are going to take.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can anyone or experts still predict/ forecast cryptocurrency nowadays? on: February 02, 2019, 12:52:15 PM
No. Check out forecasts of experts according to BTC price in 2018 year, all of them expected 30-50 k for BTC and only a few of them predicted 3000.
It is about luck and clear vision

nobody predicted $3000. don't be a fool. all those who said low prices such as $3k never stopped there, they were saying all kinds of nonsense about bitcoin. not to mention that they were saying it long before the rise even ended! for example most of those who have been talking about bitcoin drop were saying price is going to drop to $1000 back when it was $1200 and was rising up towards $20,000
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: it's hard for me now to be able to speculate crypto prices? on: February 02, 2019, 12:37:47 PM
the real question is that were you actually been able to speculate about altcoin prices before this? for example were you REALLY speculating about them in 2017 or before that?

i think the answer to that question is no, because based on your statement right now you weren't really speculating anything back then too. you just gambled and got lucky and won some of your trading bets and thought that was speculation. otherwise you would not have been confused today. there are lots of traders who continue to make profit this year and last year because they were actually speculating not gambling.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project in 2019? on: February 02, 2019, 12:17:20 PM
unfortunately the altcoins don't have any long term potential. specially the new projects that we have been seeing in the past 2 years almost all of them are clear shitcoins with 1 or 2 exceptions for the pat 2 years!
which means you shouldn't really bother investing in any of them in first place. of course when it comes to short term since the pump and dumps are involved you can make a lot of profit in a blinking of an eye but you have to also be careful to dump before others dump otherwise you will lose the same amount just as fast.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Exchange Run ICOs may be a bad idea on: February 02, 2019, 11:59:28 AM
not just that but it is also bad for the reputation of that exchange too. simply because all these ICOs are going to live for a short time and then turn into actual shit and when the coin is turned into useless pile of code in user's wallet that is worth zero, they will start blaming anybody who was involved in it including the exchange themselves.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All ICO driven altcoins will drop to zero in the longterm. Just by logic. on: February 02, 2019, 11:51:14 AM
ICOs are created for a short term profit making which is also more like a gambling game rather than being a real investment. and because of that their prices are only good for a little while although only those that win the "lottery" of ICOs can make profit, the rest will lose most of their money.
nobody has any faith in the future of them either, that is why everyone jumps ship at first opportunity they get.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XEM team scam peoples for millions of dollars on: February 02, 2019, 11:44:11 AM
XEM fall from 1400 satoshi to 1100 satoshi

from 1400 to 1100 is about 20% drop. i haven't really bothered to check the updated price since i don't own any XEM but if that is all the drop that it had then it is not a real "dump" it is a small one. a big dump would bring the price down to 500-100 satoshi
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your expectations for this year? on: January 31, 2019, 01:04:12 PM
The year seems to be filled with uncertainties, looking at the rate at which the market is moving.
What are you expectations before the end of this year?
Will there still be some positive changes, despite the present situations of the market?
Uncertainty is something that usually happens, it is impossible for something to always be a sure step in life. So with these uncertainties there must be factors that influence it, I just hope that this year will be the best year for the crypto market with the futures market by BAKKT, perhaps with success it will become a bull that will happen this year, but all is still uncertain and hope will always be the best.

Bakkt is for bitcoin and if anything it will affect bitcoin price in a positive way not the whole cryptocurrency market. although a bitcoin bull run is usually followed by some small percentage of it pouring into altcoins and also pumping them but it still wouldn't expect a full on market wide pump of the altcoins like 2017 anytime soon.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS and Ethereum might be pumped in China this year on: January 31, 2019, 12:52:05 PM
it is not news that China has been trying to push for these two centralized altcoins for over a year now. but they have been failing because nobody cares about what they are saying and the market is so much bigger and in control of the whales who won't let them do anything they don't want to if they go against them and right now they want to dump these coins and make money from shorting them.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bull run bring about the resurrection of ICOs and dead Altcoins? on: January 31, 2019, 12:33:09 PM
Hello forum members, this question of "Can bull run or bull market bring about the resurrection of good ICOs and also help some good altcoins that are almost dead gain their ground and run their project smoothly?"

How feasible is my reasoning? Kindly shed more lights. Thanks

The year 2017 is a good example of how a bull run can revive even the most deadest of projects. I saw a coin on ForkDelta whose devs have abandoned the project start to moon again.

would you mind telling us what that coin was?
because so far as i can remember a lot of coins were pumped in 2017, even the dead ones, but none of them reached "moon". it is simply impossible for a dead coin to reach moon unless you are calling a big pump as "moon" but that is incorrect.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Grin Coin : Not just a new currency in the list. on: January 31, 2019, 12:15:31 PM
grin is certainly an interesting project and it is exploring very interesting concepts in blockchain technology with its privacy focused approaches. but its economical design is terrible in my opinion. nearly a decade of experimental altcoins has proven that you can't really chose a big supply and a fast supply creation and also have your coin gain any traction in the cryptocurrency world

i am sure that if theymos never added grin to bitcointalk most people would have never even heard the name "grin".
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello all, I have some USDT but... on: January 31, 2019, 12:08:23 PM
Hello all,

I have some USDT but don't want to keep it on exchange, any suggestion for me to keep it safe?

I heard that there are some cryptocurrency hardware wallets, do they support USDT?

Thank you for your help!
I usually keep USDT in binance exchange, where my USDT is always safe and besides if I want to invest immediately, it will be easy to complete when my money is available there

keeping coins on exchanges is the least safe thing that you can do with them so when your coins are on binance then you can't say they are safe. binance will be hacked sooner or later. it is only a matter of time like the other dozens of exchanges that either got hacked or scammed their users.
if you don't want to lose your money then cash out.
