321  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: August 18, 2012, 12:39:18 AM
There is a clause in the contract allowing for late payments (with compensation) of up to 2 weeks.  I would not worry.

I am not too much worried (indeed I am not selling bonds), but since there is a bit of mess in the air, it would be nice to have more communication. If there will be a delay it's not a problem, but does it cost too much publish somewhere a warning, like "this week there will be a delay..." ?

Uhmm.. no dividends today?
323  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 16, 2012, 01:50:04 AM
Just to assure everyone: there are no technical problems, only some changes on the pools side. P2Pool payments come with a ~20 hours delay and yes, there is variance.

If P2Pool keeps having too low efficiency (compared to expected returns) I will switch back to PPS pool again. Meanwhile I am experimenting solo-mining with my personal equipment (not involved with Pyramining).

The site is always erroring as soon as I login and refresh the page or go to any other page.
Logged out, it all works.

Fixed. I confirm it was a browser's session size overflow, due to the high number of referrals. Now it should scale to hundred of thousands. :-)
325  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 14, 2012, 11:17:03 PM
PM sent.

I found the problem. To speedup things, the site tries to load all referrals data in the browser session. You have a lot of referrals, and the session grew up more than expected, and doesn't fit in its dedicated memory. I am working to fix it as soon as possible.
326  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 14, 2012, 09:01:18 PM
No. I can't logout beause all I get is an error. I have to close the browser.
This been happening for at least one month, altho it was manageable. Today just got worse. After login, no more pages open.
I tried with Chrome and Firefox. Same result.
I delete the cookies and it works, but after the cookie is set again after a new login it gives the same error.

It sounds really weird! :-)

Send me a PM with the deposit address used as login, I will try to do some debugging.

Maybe there is something dirty in the browser's session... could you try to delete cookies?

Does it happen to anyone else?

Why payouts is diminished so much? Just a few days before I got 0.08 BTC per block, now my reward is decreased to  0.004 Decreasing in 20 times for 5 days.  Shocked

Because I switched almost all back to P2Pool, since it seems that now Forrestv fixed the code. The difference is that on P2Pool block mined show ~24 hours after being found, instead of being readily available as in the previous pool. You should see your payout back to usual with a slight increase. I'll keep an eye open on that, anyway, just to be sure that everything is working as expected.

the description field is hard to follow, could it be possible to have a table insteasd?

The transaction log is made by an amount column and a description column, which describes how the amount has been calculated, so it is a text field, actually. I will put it in the to-do list.
330  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 14, 2012, 03:27:50 PM
Since the bug caused you to get more than expected (and not less), and since it's a small amount, I prefer to let things as they are and not ask you those 0.09xxx BTC back.

However it's not exploitable anymore since it has already been fixed.
331  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 14, 2012, 03:02:26 PM
Huh, another bug for you:
[...]
The second payout has a huge fee, and is most definitely incorrect as I should be getting approximately 3.3 btc back, whereas I only got 3 =|

It's the same bug. If you make a balance between all the fees, you still got 0.09709253 more than you should. Do you confirm it?
332  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 14, 2012, 02:50:03 PM
pyramining, I believe I have found a glitch  Smiley

Quote
2012-08-14 13:04:57 UTC   3.0   payout amount:[2.54205875] - fee:[-0.45794125] to 1HT16jvqEkx9SaT1UMwxQn9ZG5RBRQScbF

Notice the negative fee  Grin

Yes there has been a glitch, however the final amount seems be correct you got ~ 0.10 more than you should, but you can keep them. It's a display problem, happening only when an account gets it's last transaction (complete) and it has been introduced with the last patch (that allows to have payouts rounded to 1 BTC instead of 1 - 0.5%), and it should be already fixed now.

Also I checked all the transaction made in the meanwhile, and there is only one, in another account, which gives credit instead of taking it. Since the difference is very little, I will not modify it either. All other transactions are regular.

Thank you very much for reporting!

Is there any chance you would change the rewards address for me?

It's not possible to change the rewards address because I can't be sure that you are owning the account you claim as yours.
334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 14, 2012, 10:03:40 AM
I see an active deposits tab, what other features does the update contain?

If you make other deposits on the same account(/deposit address), a new entry is created. Subsequent deposits are not anymore merged all together. Every deposit has it's own life / activity. When a deposit gets fully rewarded, it becomes inactive.

This is useful to calculate the borrowed hash rate according to deposits:

Without this feature, if you deposited 1000 BTC, and your rewards was completed, if you added a 10 BTC deposit later, you would have 1010 BTC of infrastructure working until you get fully rewarded again. Now you would get 1000 BTC hashrate for the time that there is only the first deposit active, 1010 BTC hashrate when both deposits are active and 10 BTC hashrate when the first deposit is completed and the second is still active.

is it possible to refresh user stats more than once or twice a day?

Right now my data was last updated  2012-08-13 20:26:30 UTC

This is the last time something on the account record in the database changes. Now that deposits has been separated, it will change even less frequently. It's not related to other details (like the allocated hash rate, as an example, which is calculated each time it's needed). I don't think there is any reason to update it more frequently.

What are the details on the profile page that you want to see updated more often? I'll check which is the refresh time of those details.

Maybe I'll also change the description of the "last update" entry.
336  Economy / Securities / Re: Interest in Pyramining Pass through on: August 14, 2012, 03:40:04 AM
A Pyramining Passthrough could be valid in case you worked on your account and you have a lot of referrals and referrals of referrals.
This allows you to get returns much faster than average (you get a % of the mined bitcoins from your referrals). Then you can deposit BTCs in that account and get quick returns.
Other people should build their network of referrals to reach the same result, so maybe they could just join your PT.

In a few hours I will update Pyramining code to implement some new features.

Update complete. I tested everything and it seems it's working properly. Should you encounter any kind of problems, just report to me.
338  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 13, 2012, 07:51:50 PM
In a few hours I will update Pyramining code to implement some new features. The upgrade should last a few minutes, however since there are deep changes in the code, maybe it will require up to an hour to complete the task. During this time, the website might be unaccessible.

The new features introduced will be:

1) Separate deposits. Each deposit made will create a new entry in the account and will be active until completely rewarded. General behaviour will not change, it will inherit bonus from the account. This feature has been introduced in order to calculate the hash rate accordingly to active deposits.

Multiple deposits made until now will be kept all together as a single big deposit, so basically nothing will change for every active account/member/deposit. This will affect new deposits only.

2) Rounded payouts. Now a payout is made every 1 BTC and results in 0.995 BTC to be sent. After the update, the payout will be made every 1.00502513 BTC and 1 BTC will be sent.
339  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: August 12, 2012, 11:04:57 PM
If you think that my entry in p2pool is breaking up things, I can move my miners to solo-mining. I'm talking of around 250GH/s.

I joined having in mind to help p2pool to perform better, not to upset people.
340  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: August 11, 2012, 04:55:47 PM
I'm starting to think that links should be assigned randomly by the pyramining site when one joins so that new comers spread their coins to older subscribers in a more even manner.

I thought about this, but this would make it less fair for those of you who do more efforts in their "marketing/advertising" campaign. I think that it's right that who actively does something to reach other investors, has better chances to have an higher reward.
