321  Economy / Securities / Re: SANDSTORM: - A Collective Investment Vehicle for BTC. - on: July 11, 2013, 01:23:22 PM
As a side note, the newly issued shares will be available under the IPO section for Sandstorm, so make sure to put your order in that section to get in on the IPO (at the IPO price).

At the same time, people who own shares already can start listing them in the normal trading section at whatever price they want.  Cheers.
322  Economy / Service Discussion / Has anyone used http://bitcoinelectronics.net? on: July 09, 2013, 02:13:07 PM
Looking to make a purchase on http://bitcoinelectronics.net and wondering if anyone has used them and what their experience was.
Has anyone used them?  I see that WalletBit is closing down so not sure how they'll be processing BTC payments.
Cheers.

It's all market demand as its not linked to any government's financials or physical assets.  It could never go back down to $8USD or it could be $2USD next month.  As BTC matures it will stabilize and less prone to wild wings, but with more and more people getting into it there will be more people buying, which should keep prices at least at the current price if not going up steadily.

A friend was into it and told me about it.

Some of those require a US bank account, but some you can do by mail (visa cards, cash etc).  Always a risk of it getting lost/stolen in the mail too.  Check out Mtgox for an international exchange.
