322  Bitcoin / Pools / **UPDATED** Current P2Pool Server List on: July 30, 2013, 02:12:05 AM
P2Pool Nodes

Last Update: October 25th, 2013
(Hoping for this to become stickied, so that the old P2Pool list can be locked and die since it's not being updated.)

To become listed above everyone else as a "premium node", please message me so that we can set something up.  I would like to offer up to 2 spots of "premium listings" for a week/month long duration.

Format to PM to me to get added to list.  List is checked weekly for dead pools and is updated daily/weekly.

323  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SELL] USB Eruptor based miner - 3+ GH/s on: July 29, 2013, 09:24:36 PM
Well - you have a couple arguments there:

-Can you get a Jala/BFL anything at that price within the next couple days?

-Power consumption?

However, now that one can jump on a GB and get the UBEs at 0.45-0.55 BTC /each - so, you have to do the math on this deal including hub/fan or another UBE

Well, I do admit the wait time is quite horrendous for a new order of a Jally, so you do have me there.

Power consumption? Pretty good, 25-30 watts.

It's a good deal for the setup, it just doesn't seem to be worth is in terms of ROI is all.
324  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SELL] USB Eruptor based miner - 3+ GH/s on: July 29, 2013, 09:06:48 PM
Price slashed to 7.45 BTC for the last package, it is now selling way below the component costs!

I'd love to have some eruptors but paying nearly $700 for a mere maybe 4GH/s when I paid $163 w/ shipping for a Jalapeno and getting 5.5GH/s .. kinda hard to justify...
325  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: P2Pool Server List on: July 29, 2013, 07:52:17 PM
Adding BTCMiners.net to the list!

As you can guess we are mining BTC only at this point.  There is a 2% fee, this is for upkeep of our server on the Midwest side of the states effectively giving a low fee % to most of the Eastern USA, Midwest, Southern and some Western parts of the USA.  The server is hosted in Indianapolis, IN with 50+ Mbps downstream connection and a 30Mbps+ upstream connection on a dedicated server.

Miners Available:
https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=3878.0 - https://github.com/downloads/Kiv/poclbm/guiminer-20121203.exe *Windows Version*
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=168174.0 - http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/3.1.3/bfgminer-3.1.3-win32.zip *Windows 32 Bit Version*

Version 13.2 - Avalon/ASIC Supported!

To mine with us, point your miner to:

Host: http://BTCMiners.net:9332
Username: BitcoinAddress+DifficultyVariable
Password: WhateverYouWouldLike

**Explanation of "DifficultyVariable" in the 'Username' column.**
For 1GH/s and below use: BitcoinAddress+1
Between 2GH/s and 3GH/s use: BitcoinAddress+2
Between 3GH/s and 4GH/s use: BitcoinAddress+4
Between 4GH/ and 5GH/s use: BitcoinAddress+6

(Basically add 1 difficulty rating per GH/s in intervals of 2 respectively.  This should alleviate some bandwidth concerns and also give us a pseudo higher GH/s local rate which should in turn yield us more shares.)

Any additional income from fees outside of the minimum required amount needed for the server's upkeep will be once a month split between all the users (locally connected) equally!  So everyone who mines with us gets a monthly bonus, yay! Smiley

Any questions, please inbox me!

Happy mining,
BTCMiners.net

Funny how it seems only 2 people in the BTC world even knew of their operation,  BTCMiners.net and me... Starting to wonder if one of us is trying but failing hard at pulling a scam.

Is this "company" registered anywhere in the world?

I'm here and still around but once again, have nothing to do with this company or "company"

do you happen to know anyone who does?

you seemed to think it was a good idea to give these guys money, why did you think that?

When did I seem to think it was a good idea to give these guys money??

Just an example of the past few days.. I pointed my miner to a new address as I have a new computer now.  So, while it's mining on the new address the old one will still be receiving payouts but you can see what P2Pool has been paying me on this address.

Well (again, not defending them either way.. I could care less as I couldn't afford it) I don't think bad permalinks necessarily constitutes bad product.  Some of these "new" ASIC companies are basically running Drupal or some other blog site more or less with a simple checkout cart, open source on some.. just sayin'

Can perhaps someone with some more expertise contact them so we can find out whether or not based off of their responses and such if this is real or a scam, so maybe some people who can afford it could potentially find these people versus the big ol' SCAM tag at the top.

--

What if they were acquiring these 28nm ASIC's early on and stock piling them?? Isn't one of the ASIC companies I've seen floating around on the ads here using 28nm ASIC as well?
332  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: xEnergyLabs SCAM? on: July 27, 2013, 05:31:16 AM
Well, I've been watching the website over the past few days.  They're way out of my personal price range but it seems they're making progress.  Why haven't they advertised I wonder or perhaps they already have some IPO to specific individuals??

Since when did a few days equal only two days?

You would have had to start watching this site the first minute they went live to even come close to a few days. Their first post was yesterday, therefore I have to ask: You have any relationship to this site?

Negatory batman, I actually found it on Mr. 4Chan under technology.  And since this is night two, I didn't bother with the semantics of saying "Night two" versus the ladder of simply saying "few days".   Don't get me wrapped up in this, I'm just following it is all.  Good or bad, I have no clue.

pre orders for 128x 9GH/s 28nm ASIC Chips

hmm... 28 nm eh?

I'm not a so called enthusiast on this all, but what do you mean  "hmm... 28 nm eh?"  I mean, I know that the smaller the size effectively they could put more to use, correct? But 128 of them on each board wouldn't that be quite large?

Cut off date added, as well as a refund policy if turn out isn't as expected.
336  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [RAFFLE] Virtually Rent My Jalapeno for 30 days! on: July 25, 2013, 02:38:04 PM
BTCMiners.net, it would be a good idea to set a cutoff date for entries.

I am actually contemplating this right now, funny you had brought it up.  I thought this would go off a lot better than my initial assumptions..

There are a few things that I would like to address as, I have no trust; so I can see why perhaps some people maybe turned off by the initial plan.  Secondly it just simply hasn't built the momentum that I thought it would, as I do not believe anyone has ever done this before and I expected a better turn out.  I'll edit my original post, but perhaps the cutoff should be September 1st, 2013.  If not all BTC is there than I'll just refund all balances to everyone.  Hopefully that might gain some popularity among possible interested individuals?  Let me know your thoughts. Smiley
337  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: xEnergyLabs SCAM? on: July 25, 2013, 12:55:46 PM
Well, I'm not saying it is a scam but if no one in the BTC world has heard of them then well...

Anyway I was asking if anyone knew anything.

I agree, I've not heard of them.  I just hear the word scam being thrown around with these manufacturers all the time.  Some very well maybe scams, but some certainly not. Smiley

 xEnergyLabs Gen4 ASIC System
Submitted by xEnergyLabs Team on Thu, 07/25/2013 - 04:57

xEnergyLabs Gen4 ASIC systems has been working tirelessly to reverse engineer current ASIC technologies. Without getting into an in-depth theoretical possibility of what is out currently and what our ASIC systems are capable of; be sure they will be affordable, scalable and easy to upgrade with minimal expense.

Of course our systems will have a price tag attached to them competitively compared to other comparable models from other competitors, we are reaching a level of dedication to achieve nothing less than to leave other manufacturers behind in technology.

I'm not siding with either side, I found this last night lurking on Mr. 4Chan (one does what one does at 2AM... At least I was on Technology. lol) But being that they're not even accepting any sort of money I think that should be weighted into evidence before calling it a scam.  I have it bookmarked, not that I will ever be able to afford such a device based off of their initial pricing shown on the page.  But it just bothers me when someone automatically throws a scam tag on it because they're themselves are not aware of it. *rant over*. Nothing against you Chaang Noi (Goat) ช้างน้อย, just had to get that rant out. Smiley
340  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Was lurking... 3TH ASIC Rig in the making?? on: July 25, 2013, 05:45:52 AM
Was lurking 4chan.  Came across this:

http://boards.4chan.org/g/res/35514390

SO FAR, it's Bitcoin related.  But it's 4chan, so I cannot promise it will stay Bitcoin related....  we'll just assume it's NSFW just to play it safe, but it is in the technology area, which generally isn't /b/ ha

EDIT: In case you don't want to visit 4chan, the website it www.xenergylabs.com
