321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Altcoins Investment Experience on: December 09, 2023, 01:51:52 PM
I did invest in lots of altcoins and i received many tokens from bounties as reward. I experienced that, most of the tokens turns into shitcoin or dead after a few months. Some Altcoins performed very good for a certain time then all of those lost 90-95% of values and still traded on exchange with so called volume. Thus process is continued. Even top altcoins also replaced by new altcoins. 2017 vs 2023.

Moral: I think BTC and ETHEREUM is better option for investment, Can be trusted blindly, profitable for long. Low Ranked Altcoins, Memecoins and shitcoins are just headache and reason of huge losses in long time. But anyone can invest his money wherever they want.

99% of the contemporary projects goes to become nothing. In most cases it's wiser to dump you bounty coins as soon as you can in exchange of some top level coins. Though some coins becomes a success and could bring more profit than you expect.
Btc and eth are good options but there are a hundred more coins that I believe could perform better than btc and Ethereum in long term as well as short term.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 09, 2023, 02:05:35 AM
Crypto is mostly unexpected and we don't know which token will give us high profit. sometimes we expect a big pump in the token and we believe that this project has a lot of potential but this token performance remains low throughout bull and bear season just like DOT and Cardano while some coins we often called them scam and spam pumped hard like ORDI, Pepe, Floki. It's all about trend when trend end then no one want to buy these coins.

What is your suggestions about profit from altcoins. Should we rely on only buying long term projects or we should invest according to trend despite of looking that trends coin will have no value in future?

If you are in for trading, go for trends. Who would wait for years when you can double your money in months.
If you are in for investment and have no time for the hassle of watching prices move everytime, find a good coin and put some money in it and wait till it x5.
Both strategies have its pros and cons. And you can go with both getting the fruits of both trees.
Another way of passive trading+investing is grid trading where you get the profit of price fluctuations till your coin gets to the desired price.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin looking like sleeping gigant in this bull run season on: December 09, 2023, 01:25:36 AM
Well, it was popular and big, but right now it lost its spot. People are focused on BTC, ETH, and new projects now mostly, at least as I see it. Litecoin need something more than just being a good and quality coin to become really big again.

At first glance, what is said is also true. My experience last year when there was a market correction was somewhat different from this year. LTC prices did not rise too significantly and were still in the normal category. if I see. However, whether there will be good news for LTC this year, we should wait together.

Litecoin price has started to rise since yesterday. 6% increase over the 24 hours was better than bitcoin and many other altcoins. Now it's time for the litecoin hodlers.
The price is still struggling to get over the resistance of 80. And the pace of rise in other coins are already down. If you have bought below the price of 80 like me, it would be a wise idea to sell some around 98 to book a profit. Though I still believe the price would easily hit 125.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to invest in JITO (JTO)? on: December 08, 2023, 02:44:05 AM
JITO is the first MEV powered stake pool that allows unlocking liquidity on your staked SOL to use across DEFI while keeping self custody of your funds.

JTO is airdropping about 10% of their token supply to eligible users. While some exchanges also announced the coin listing and I'm sure that millions of dollar in liquidity will be added to DEXs and market. But Currently, JITO has 68,636 stakers in pool, 6,340,192 SOL TVL in pool and 82 Validators.

Do you think these amount of stakers and TVL are enough to have governance token airdrop? And is it advisable to invest in this coin?

Jito could be a good investment but this is not the right time. The price has been hyped due to listing on popular site while airdropped users are likely to dump their coins on the hype. Let other buyers take up the supply. The price drop that follows would be the best time to invest as a lot more people would have bought the coins at higher price. It has rose like 100% in a day, let the price come below $1.2 to buy it.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price before Christmas on: December 07, 2023, 05:14:05 PM
Hello,
If someone has made a loss in buying and selling Ethereum, what is your suggestion? Should he\she hold Ethereum?
Is it possible for the price to reach $2300 before Christmas?

Thanks.

Ethereum has indeed crossed $2350 before the Christmas. Hope you'll be able to sell at profit. Selling all of them would not be a good idea either.
The price rise was sudden an it's now time to see if the price supports over $2300. If it does, we could get a $2500 next.
Other coins are too are in a boost mode, solana hit $65. If the coins kept on breaking the resistance, there would be none till they break their all time high.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 07, 2023, 03:09:44 PM
From past few weeks whenever I open any browser or social media all I could see is some random blogs and news about Altcoins which will have massive pump and which coins I have to invest.

Folks, it's times to be more cautious than every and never go with any random prediction provided over telegram or through blogs as it's a routine that once the crypto market is trending upwards and bullrun is expected we see a lot of experts in the market via various channels like Youtube, Twitter, Telegram, Discord and WhatsApp group sharing random coins with catchy headlines like "Top 5 altcoins with 100x pump", "Whales are investing in these altcoins", "Altcoins which will go to moon", etc.

Please try to understand these are the same people who spreads fud during bear market and impersonates as experts.

Don't go with any such predictions and rather do your own research because I have seen people randomly investing into shitcoins just because it's mentioned over Twitter and the person who has tweeted has huge followers. There will be so much of deceiving as they will share some 10 coins and even if one of them prospers they will use it as upselling point.

There literally was an news article that said there was FOMO and YOLO on the market and opening it, it further suggested people to take risk.
YOLO could be fine in enjoying and spending time with your friends but is never a good financial idea. Your investment should  have careful research, diversification, and a long-term perspective.
It's not a bad idea to listen to people who know about the finance but you should also know that they may have their bias. You need to take decision for yourself.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of people claimed BTC Forks? on: December 07, 2023, 12:22:13 PM
Who here has claimed most or all of them and was it for you?
Did anyone here just kept their btc in exchanges and if so which exchanges and then just got their bitcoin forks through exchange and didn't bother with any of this?

I did. I collected all my btc and put them in my binance account. Back than I thought it would be a hassle for me to claim every forks personally. I was okay with using electrum like wallets but I was suspicious how my private keys would be used by different and newer wallets.
At some point in time, there were so many forks of bitcoin that it was difficult to track them. And I was actually satisfied what what binance did with my coins. I remember of getting forked coins like weekly and selling them for a profit.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo get 1 billion dollars lawsuit for his NFT failure on: December 07, 2023, 02:33:47 AM
Typical american's suing other for their mistakes. Ronaldo performed in an ad for a legal company and he helds no responsibility for the future of the company let alone someone losing on a product of that company. Binance might have clearly stated the terms and they still sue most probably in a hope to get something on settlement funds or are piloted by competitive companies. Binance would have to spend money to proceed. While in reality such case should have been closed on Prima facie and the applicant be fined.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is effecting Market? on: December 06, 2023, 06:08:21 PM
What are you talking abawt? Does BTC affect the market? BTC is THE MARKET. Have you checked the BTC dominance lately? It is 54%. 54% is no joke in a market where everybody create their own crypto every day. So when you ask if btc is affecting the markets, the answer is very obvious. It is always about btc. The other coins are only guests in this game. BTC is the main star. This might change if one day btc dies but i don't think that's happening any time soon.

Yes. BTC makes up more than 50% of market much larger than tens of thousands of other coins combined. And BTC would require to move in order to have an overall trend on the market.
There were and are alts that are increasing or decreasing due to their own reasons but when bitcoin moves every of the alts follow. Up or down.
It's been predicted that the bitcoin would lose it's market cap superiority for years now but they be holding.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: help me choose the best possible ALTCOINS for 2024/2025 on: December 06, 2023, 03:27:06 PM
Hello guys,

im looking into ALTCOINS i wont to invest into projects such as AI , GAMING , DEFI  - do you recommend any other SECTORS ?

what top 1-5 coins of each of the sectors would you recommend ?  which have a good background and solid fundamentals ? would you go for 1-2 top coins with big martket cap and 2-3 with lower marketcap ?

what would be the best time to start buying them ? now  ore before halfing  ore after halving ?  some of them are really low how low can they even get ?

what do you think if the ETF would dissalow BTC how would this impact ALTCOINS ?  how badly would they fall ?

do you think BITCOIN will revisit 30K before halving ? if that happens ALTCOINS could bleed heavily ...

thanks for replys

It's a good idea to diversify your investment in every way. AI, Gaming and DEFI are popular and you should also add WEB3 and metaverse based coins.
Get at least 3 of each kinds. Large cap coins are mostly stable and less risky while low cap and new coins have higher chances of bringing larger profits.
Predicting the market is hard. It's said that current rise is due to the upcoming halving of BTC and the price fall around and after the halving. So, this is time for rising.
But the bitcoin trend has not equally transfered to alts and we don't know if it actually it.
In my experience, Bitcoin would surely test the 30K resistance after the halving.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verified twitter, telegram account is the strong point for a new project? on: December 04, 2023, 05:33:36 PM
My friend informed me that at this time many upcoming project social account like twitter, telegram is verified.
Does that mean these projects can be trusted?
In fact many are encouraged to invest in any new project following this.
What is your opinion on this matter?

It's a basic thing a project should start with. There might be successful projects without verification or unverified community pages but they were either early or are exceptions.
Getting a verification does not actually add significant advantage to being trusted. Trust is built through transparency and delivering on promise. For something that has recently started, you need a mega idea with mega promotions and a good roadmap to get success in initial funding. Further funding depends on how you perform.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: December 04, 2023, 03:08:16 PM
Ethereum (ETH) has certainly established itself as a dominant player in the cryptocurrency market, often referred to as the king of altcoins.  Where Ethereum crossed $2200 in today's market. I understand that some people see Ethereum as a strong competitor in the world of altcoins. Its smart contract technology and decentralized applications have contributed to its popularity. We know it has solidified its position as the leading platform for decentralized finance, decentralized exchanges and other innovative blockchain-based applications. However, there are many other altcoins in the market that are capable of making a significant impact on the cryptocurrency market. Considering the current market hype, I think Ethereum is the only silent killer alt coin that can hold a unique future paradigm.

Ethereum in every expect is the optimal candidate to be called the king of Alts. Atleast for the time being.
Ethereum was the pioneer of sidechain network, smart contracts and decentralized applications. There were already the ideas and Ethereum was the first to implement it.
So, it had a head start than other altcoins. Most people who only considered Bitcoin as a crypto came to know of the Ethereum as an alternative.
Though not the first alt but it was the first alt to get huge institutional investments. And marketcap wise, it's 2nd for most of the crypto history.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which good altcoins can I hold along with Bitcoin for the upcoming halving? on: December 04, 2023, 12:24:23 PM
This literally the first halving I'm going to experience since knowing about bitcoin. So I've already started holding Bitcoin and lately the progression  has been going well!!.So I've some Lil funds with me but I'm thinking of which good altcoins I can hold for the upcoming  halving, that's going to also skyrocket too. I was thinking about ETH, BNB and SOL. But still, I  need recommendations from you guys about the best altcoins to hold for the halving please.

Another coin that halves with bitcoin is bitcoincash. Unlike BSV, bitcoincash has a large userbase. I have personally  seen merchants  accepting bitcoincash as payment. The transaction fee are low and the speed is quick. They are in the top 20 coins by marketcap and even if it's not as large as bitcoin, it surely has a larger potential for growth.
I'd not recommend ETH, BNB and SOL as ETH is already high and difficult to transact, BNB is struggling with Binance controversy while SOL is already x3.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 03, 2023, 05:25:15 PM
Currently Altcoins are start growing and crypto market condition is pretty good as every where is green. And many of us expected that, bull will come soon and so people already start analysis for which altcoins should buy and could be best investment for bull run. But as we know, market goes a little down when it comes to BTC Halving, which will be happened probably on 24th april, 2024.
So are you going to pick your altcoins Now??  Or During/After BTC Halving while you can buy altcoins with low price?

What I have realised is the rise in price during halving actually occurs 9 to 3 months before the halving. The price remains stable till the halving and falls after the event.
I personally practically experience it during the Litecoin halving of this year and backtesting for a few coins that have recently halved have followed the theory.
BTC halving is coming in April 24 so current bull is the preparation for that. Look from July 24 2023 to March 24 2024. This is where all the rising happens. The rest would be a correction.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: December 03, 2023, 02:27:15 PM
Some known popular altcoins are eth bnb ada xrp matic etc and so many are available in crypto market where eth bnb is common investment. But i saw some people, buy matic but don't want to go for ada! Some buy xrp but not Interested with solana!

What is the name of that Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore?? Example: i Won't buy TRON(trx) anymore cause it makes me disappointed several time with its stable price since 2017

When the matter of top coins that I would not buy comes, the first coin that comes in my mind is Ripple. Had some amount sometimes in exchange or grid trading but haven't bought it as an investment. The reason is the coins nature, it's price and the way operates don't resonate with me.
Another coin I bought some in past and never going to buy again is ADA. They were hyped for like a decade but there were all talks and no visible action.
These two are what comes in my mind at first, there maybe more but I don't have permanent bias or grudge about anything. I may change my mind if convinced otherwise.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So we got new CEO of Binance on: December 02, 2023, 05:09:58 PM
The new CEO Richard Teng says Binance will now act different then when CZ was in charge. This means there will be a board of directors, physical address, and financial transparency.
These are all things that Binance never did have with CZ as the CEO. He says there is a 'robust timeline' in place for it to happen.
https://www.binance.com/en/feed/post/2023-11-27-richard-teng-transitioning-binance-into-a-conventional-financial-company-with-increased-regulation-and-transparency-612563312369

I guess that's what would be good for all the users. It don't mean CZ and the leadership were harming its users but more transparency and regulation are always favorable to the users on the long term. Even though we might have to trade of some perks and probably a higher fees as their operation cost and taxes increases. It may seem counterintuitive at first but it may prevent any large mishandling of Binance like the one done in FTX, where people lost huge amount of money trying to save a fraction of the fees.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Blockfi, Nexo and Celsius Pay Back Their Customers? on: December 02, 2023, 11:23:58 AM
They are to some extent providing not full but a compensation amount to users who are able to provide proper documentation. But most of the required documentation is absurd and most people are not being able or not willing to provide it.

Of the four, I was active in FTX, Celsius and Nexo. I bought FTX token during the hype and FTX was my primary exchange due to the low fees.
After the first news, I sold my FTX token at 80% loss and withdrew just before they stopped letting users do that. It was a good choice.
I would have never been able to provide the absurd documents they want like my salary and tax statements.

I was saved from celsius disaster to some extent. I had a good amount of USD on their platform staked for interest and they eventually blocked my region. I needed to use a VPN to withdraw all my USD to nexo. I lost some of their tokens which I held for better rates.
After the bankruptcy of Celsius, I was wise enough to empty my Nexo wallets.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: December 02, 2023, 09:57:54 AM
The US government and the cryptocurrency market are having a lot of ups and downs, and it seems like they're headed towards a very important conflict. This conflict will determine the fate of many people and companies involved in cryptocurrency. They might have to shut down or move to a different country.

How much we may belittle the government and praise the anonymous and decentralized governance in crypto, what we must realize is if government specially the US really cracks down on every form of crypto, the adoption of crypto would reverse to the extent of de-existence. There would be some crypto being traded between a small shady group of people but the normal people, traders and investors would not use it. So, we should appreciate the governments around the world that are letting this technology for economic freedom flourish which outright going to bring them larger challenges.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Compounding altcoin profits in bull run? on: December 01, 2023, 04:20:45 PM
I hold quite a few altcoins and some of them have almost seen 100% profit in less than a week lately and it got me thinking how I can make the most of this volatility.

I am thinking of starting with £100 and compounding profits jumping from one altcoin to another.

For example starting with £100, i see 100% profit so then put £200 onto another altcoin which also sees 100% profit so i now have £400 and just keep doing that until I reach an amount I am happy with.

I know this is risky as it only takes one altcoin to go to zero to lose my money but I am ok starting with £100 - does anyone else do this?

The thing with crypto market is almost everytime, they follow the same trend. i.e. if they are increasing, all of them would increase and when they decrease, all of them does.
Still we can profit on finding what coins could probably have a larger chance to increase than the average.
I made a significant profit of x3 last month on Solana, No other prominent coin got x3 in the current bull, and I booked my profit there. Solana is a good coin but I'll take the risk of waiting it to correct.
The profit I got from Solana, I invested on a coin called KP3R, which did increased 8% but I don't think I'll be able to get x2 on that.
