321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Altcoin Faces Further Declines In the Near Future on: August 24, 2023, 03:08:21 PM
This fate of cardano was in the making. It was an active project but never achieved the adoption and developmental progress as promised. There can't be hundreds of coins just for speculation and pump and dump. For that their are meme coins and Bitcoin. The success of a utility token depends on how successful the network is and just like some old coins like Neo and NEM, it didn't really made any progress on adoption as a utility coin.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: August 24, 2023, 01:20:32 PM
I have more interest in altcoins than bitcoin because they give more ROI, but we are not in a bull market yet and Ethereum gas fee keeps surging since yesterday, it is fair if you are sending ETH from a wallet to another but the real deal is when you plan to send tokens from a wallet to another, the gas is high and this makes me wonder what will happen in a bull market, because most of my tokens are on Erc-20 chain, what is a good way to be prepared for this?

There are many options now trying to solve the problem. We should be able to switch to better options if we want to go into a bull market. The current sidechains network that support tokens are both expensive and slow for transactions. When they have this type of congestion in a sideways market with low rate of transactions, they would is no way keep up with when there would be a bull market. There might be no bull if we still put our tokens in Ethereum chain.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: August 23, 2023, 02:28:03 PM
The entire crypto market is falling again today, but is this the first time? Didn't it fall the same way in 2021 before the new ATH? And remember what was the level of greed and fear at $40,000 a year ago and now? I see this drop as an opportunity to buy fundamental tokens at a good price. I bought NEAR, Sol, Aurora, Harmony, Link, ADA.

Also a good reason to believe that this is just a correction is the fact that the largest venture capital funds continue to invest money into the market. For example, a month ago Three Arrows Capital bought 156K ETH, or just recently A16z, Alameda, Three Arrows Capital held another round of investment and invested $150M in NEAR Protocol, which indicates that serious guys like a16z and Alameda still believe in growth.

This post is now over one and a half year old but it's as relevant now as it was at that time. For the last one and a half year, crypto has been under a bear and a sideways trend. There's a huge resistance now established and there's a lot of accumulation from both individuals and institutional investors. Buying and holding is the way ahead. There's not much to lose now and every small investment at the moment would count when ultimately the bull arrives.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: August 23, 2023, 01:48:32 PM
Crypto is a digital currency that comprises different coins. It's important that we understand how this coin works and which to invest in. How do we identify the best coin and the period to invest in these types of coins?

Unlike any other investments, crypto offers a lot of options for both investors and traders. Short terms or long. There are options to get you a reward just for holding.
Crypto is a vague name for different blockchain based tokens that plans to achieve different feats and solve different problems. Some are here just for fun (memecoins) while some focuses on solving and aiding complex problems. A lot of them are just speculative while some have digital and real life uses.
Not every good coins are good for investment and everyone should do their own research before an investment. But what I can say for sure at the moment is any popular altcoins investment at the moment would yield you good earning as a bull is approaching.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young people should take more advantage of the crypto space. on: August 23, 2023, 01:19:35 PM
Young people are willing to take more risks as compared to older generation. They are quick at adopting new technologies and learning new knowledge. They have better idea about what the future of finance and technology would be like. So, they naturally see a good scope in crypto space both financially and as an integrated technology.
They with their calculated risk can be more successful than their average older generation. And with advanced financial instruments in their hand, they can reshape the future of finance and financial structures.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ASIC or Anti-ASIC? on: August 22, 2023, 03:42:30 PM
I don't think it would matter much for a 51% attack whether it is ASIC mineable or not as there are currently many large players involved in industrial grade mining.
Though I always support a mining thats as decentralized as possible as they would be distributed to a larger mass of people and would be more legit way of distribution.
Many coins are already doing steps to counter development of ASIC grade mining device for the Algo and they are much popular to individual miners.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What features are now expected from cryptocurrencies? on: August 22, 2023, 01:13:09 PM
There are a lot of cryptocurrencies on the market right now, from those that focus on privacy to those that focus on development.
What other features or technologies are out there that people are hoping to get?

Feeless (minimal fee) and quick transactions would be a good selling points for cryptocurrency of the future. NANO, BANANO are some decent examples but we specially need them as utility tokens for dapps and dex. No one would mind paying a minimal fee like a cent when the transaction are fast but our current options have an ever changing fees and the congestion increases when there's a market trend.
So, I believe a ETH competitor with a fixed minimal fee and quick transactions is what we all expect.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: August 22, 2023, 11:51:53 AM
Privacy is a necessary feature in my opinion, but why hasn't Monero become a main coin?

There are no any privacy focused coin as popular and widely accepted and used as monero. Privacy coin is itself is a low demand genre. And most of it's demand is supplied through monero. There are a large number of privacy focused coins and once there was a trend of issuing privacy focused coins but a lot of the so called privacy focused coins have some flaws compared to monero and some had made compromises that have threatened the privacy of its users. And monero is the one actively working for its users privacy and making it a compelling coin for trade.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: August 21, 2023, 02:52:05 PM
I can guess why people are sad with tron. There were a lot of expectations from the project and it delivered nothing much in meantime. Even a large and well know crypto can go to oblivion and become when they fail to deliver. NEO is one of the popular coin of its time which failed to maintain its popularity and price. Although  they are still tradeable and active, a lot of people don't know about them. Ripple could be the next NEO when they being and utility token are not welcome in both official and unofficial uses. Tron's sister project BTT could be another big disappointment.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: August 16, 2023, 03:01:42 PM
This has always been talked about and paying bounties in USD or popular coins is not only beneficial to the bounty participants but also favourable for the team, the coin community and the future of coin overall. There would not be any need for worrying about the price drop due to bounty selling. But still projects are not confident about the future of their own coin and prefers to provide generated coins than sending collected funds.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Appeal may take away XRP recent gains. Here is why on: August 15, 2023, 05:00:11 PM
$0.61 has been a strong support for Ripple for months now. And at the current moment, it's testing it. Ripple with its huge market cap and institutional investors would be hard to move into any direction. And with nothing working on the positive direction for this centralized currency, and with an evil eye of SEC over them, they have nowhere to go as they have always advertised as a utility coin for inter bank transfers.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: August 15, 2023, 12:37:01 PM
I too have a bad experience with futures. Its nice and good profit till it goes according to your plan and it stays good in a sideways trend market. But when there are rapid highs and lows, you are doomed. You don't even hold the coins at last. Everything is lost.
If you believe in future of a specific coin, its better to buy them and hold and trade rather than go for futures, as if price go down, you have the coin to hold for selling at better price at later time and if it goes high, you have a profit on dollars. Maybe less so than in future but you are never in complete loss.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Whitepaper just Buzz Word in Alt and Meme coins? on: August 14, 2023, 04:30:21 PM
Most of the times its just copy paste from some other similar tokens and means nothing. But what they change of is the token supply and distribution method and overall tokenomics. Which gives us the fundamental idea of how the tokens are issued and how they are going to get distributed. From the effort a specific project made for the whitepaper, we do have idea how serious the team is about the project. A well written  and unique whitepaper is what I look for.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: August 14, 2023, 02:47:42 AM
Both are good if you can afford. Altcoins mostly don't pay you an interest and most of the investment are long term specially till a bull run. The profit targets are huge. Bank interest don't make you rich, sometimes they even are a loss due to inflation. But there are a good option for saving as its easier to withdraw when you need it. That's why saving means bank to me while investment means crypto. Trading is an another league and they are in comparison to banks.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: August 05, 2023, 02:27:37 PM

Yeah it's funny how tokens with value below $50 are useless and permanently stuck in my wallet. Unless there's dramatic decrease in price of ETH or they come up with some great update that they haven't been able to pull up in years. And this situation is in a sideways market, guess what would be the situation when bull arrives. I believe and hope that ETH would no longer be the leading platform for dapps in next bull.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need a privacy coin that can only hide transaction amounts ? on: August 05, 2023, 01:24:44 PM
There are already some privacy coins, such as Monero, but they don't seem to be widely popular. At least not as popular as ETH, LTC.
Is it because privacy is not a necessary requirement? Or are existing privacy coins not good enough?
Or is it because of regulation? Or is it that privacy coins make the public feel that they are always connected to criminal activities?

If a coin only hides the transaction amount, will it be popular?

When I was using Monero, I found that for offline cold wallets, it is a troublesome thing to check the balance. You have to wait for the wallet client to scan a large number of blocks to find all transactions associated with the account. If only the transaction amount is hidden, this problem will be solved.
Of course, this semi-privacy coin is also more friendly to supervision.
Will anyone be willing to use this kind of coin ?

Monero is still the favorite for privacy focused people specially the market in dark web. The regulations had made it difficult for normal people to trade on it but it has became a crypto currency in true sense with its own value. The popularity of bitcoin mixers is another example how large the privacy based market is.
Hiding just the transaction amount would not be a solution as monero implements Stealth Addresses, Ring Signatures and RingCT to ensure every of its users are anonymous.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussion about ETH on: August 05, 2023, 11:07:46 AM
Sometimes I think..
If now we have a fast network with ecology as prosperous as ETH and low tax
Why we need L2 network and ETH..It seems like a deficient network repairing itself constantly.
And POS is without justice that the strong will always be stronger.Blockchain need justice and every one is equal.

I want to see you mates' opinion. And if possibile, please recommend me the best cryptocurrency undervalued now thx. Kiss

I too am not optimistic about the future of Ethereum as a utility token. They have been trying to fix problems for years yet the chain is still unusable with large fees and congested networks. Newer alternatives provided better performance and efficiency in low price. And with interoperability and use of similar languages to code, there's no lack of experience. We'd see ETH lag behind on coming bull.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Durning bull market we will received many good bounty? on: August 04, 2023, 09:10:01 AM
The bounty time almost death now so if bull market will coming then we can received lot of good bounty!
There are no good bountys available to earn money right now. So what's your target? When we will received good bounty?

When the bull arise, each and every coins available to buy increases in price. That's why there are many people launching a huge number of tokens everyday. And with such money in stake they'd want to do a lot of advertising as advertising would easily payoff and yield more profit. And in that case, each and every of the tokens would be willing to conduct a bounty. During the sideways market, theirs no certainty that a token won't go below the ICO price. Most tokens even fail to reach their hardcap which would make the bounty expenses useless.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the best Altcoin for this moment to accumulate right now? on: August 04, 2023, 06:02:35 AM
I want to find a good Altcoin to invest in before the bull starts, also have a non-custodial exchange. This means, that we have complete control over our funds. If there is, please help convey it, because a lots of new altcoins was born every day.

Accumulation is a good strategy as the current market is in lower side trend. Any investment today could bring good results within next year or two. There are a lot of alts with a good number of promising options. You can't go wrong with the top 20 altcoins, but it would be better to invest in coins with low cap and low price as they can easily go x10 or higher on bull. Even new coins in their early sale with a solid base, team and community could be a good investment in long run.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the largest meme coin ever? on: August 04, 2023, 12:48:16 AM
What is the largest meme coin ever?
It should be Doge coin
Doge coin is the first meme coin, right? Meanwhile, other meme coins like Shiba and others only followed suit when at that time the price of the Doge coin suddenly rose drastically. So many people become developers and make meme coins. but unfortunately as usual, the new meme coins will end up being shit coins. Because after all, when you just imitate or follow things that already exist, the results won't take long in the end. Maybe currently only the Shiba Inu is still surviving and getting into one of the top coins. While other meme coins are only temporarily and they will drop after reaching thier top very soon. but when compared with Doge, I'm sure if Doge is larger.

I believe Doge coin was the first ever to coin itself as Memecoin genre as we know of such. There was literally a coin named MEME coin that predates Dogecoin in 2013 but there's not much info available about it now. There are a multiple of meme coins available at the moment. The most popular, with the largest market cap being Dogecoin. But memecly, the most expensive memecoin is Doge Killer from Shiba Inu.
