321  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Do you see any problems with this shed design? on: July 27, 2014, 03:08:13 PM
well, i'm venting about 3-4kw out my basement with a 1300cfm attic heat exhaust fan Smiley works great...you could just use that for your exhaust side...course it is about 14'' big...but that should vent the heat and provide suction for the intake as well since if i have the basement windows closed it sucks air from upstairs thur the bottom of the door...and not just a light breeze either...it is amazing what ya can do with high cfm fans Wink well good luck on your project
322  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WANTED: I need a Neptune or Jupiter Controller board. on: July 27, 2014, 02:41:19 PM
Hello, I am looking for a controller board for a Neptune. Mine stopped working after a few weeks. Does anyone have one to sell me? I am in South Florida. Delray Beach.  Thanks!

Or would you know why in the backend of the Neptune. It says STOPPED ?  I tried everything to start the miner up including replacing and flashing the Beagle Bone Black. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again. Please email me at Donald@crjewelers.com

did ya msg knc about it? no warrenty on the controller card? are you using a jup. controller card to get the nep working now?

by  that doggie means Ker-plunk down she goes.....

heh no refunds on anything made batch 3 on (and likely no more neptune refunds anyway now that they are shipping)

90 Warranty now vs previously 1 year

large data hall now vs none last fall

much has changed since KNC went to the dark side....you could say they "BFL'd us customers" for the betterment of KNC ...heh

maybe I really don't want to win the lottery...I could end up being a real 'prick' if I had big bucks if the above slide is any indication!

Searing

just cause you win the lottery doesn't mean you'll do a BFL or KNC...its the greed monster that does it...so if you win alotta money and don't feel the need to get tons more money you should be fine Wink money changes ppl but ppl never change money...which should happen...the old saying goes, money is the root of all evilness Grin
324  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: $850 40MH/s FREE Month of Hosting! No Electricity Costs or Noise 99.9% Uptime on: July 27, 2014, 05:19:22 AM
Buyer Beware, ZenCloud is not a traditional hoster where you can actually control your rig.
ZenCloud operates like pbmining does, everything is automated and there is no proof of actually mining.
You can choose from 5 Different pools. They are in the process of getting some pics!
Buyer Beware, the miner you actually purchased is in fact mining!

i have 1 war machine hashing away with them right now...looks on the up n up too me Wink

It's a fantastic deal!!! Cheapest deal around! We are running them so cheap in honor of our new ZenMiner partnership! I will not be running them this cheaply to much longer!!!(:

from website "we will point your miners to whatever pool you specify. "

so that isn't true? and if it is true...then how can you deduct the hosting cost from it?

okay I have a thread I use  zen cloud I will post the link.

  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=698679.0

read my link is should help you to decide.

I went to zighash site this is the best deal I can find right now.

http://zighash.com/collections/zenminer/products/1-month-free-zenminer-hosting-1x-falcon-and-1x-black-widow-40mh-s

it is 40mh for 900 dollars.  1 month free hosting. my opinion is that deal is pretty good.  assuming zighash pays the coins due.

my deal was 27 mh for  600 dollars and 3 months free hosting. Also gaw miner gave me a courtesy gridseed blade hosted.

I have purchased 6k plus from them  and stopped using them.

Frankly 40 mh for 900 bucks is pretty good.  I have a question to zighash was this the discounted miner you offered? Or is there a bigger discount.

so then right there on their website they lie? that isn't cool Sad and thanks for that thread philipma...if i can't choose my own pool, doesn't make it a good deal anymore...whats the point in owning the hardware if you can't choose where it mines?

well they give you a choice very good pools but not a choice of every pool.   I would not say that is lying .

I would say it is lawyer talk not the same as lying.
If it was my website and it is not I would write the 5 pools you can pick from right now.

I would also say they may change.

the pools you can pick are :

 COINKING ------------- https://www.coinking.io/

 NiceHash --------------- https://nicehash.com/

 CleverMining ----------- http://clevermining.com/

 Multipool.us  ----------- https://www.multipool.us/

 Wafflepool -------------- http://wafflepool.com/

Then people would feel safer to use the site.  Now the above pools are all good as far as I can tell.

But I have been playing the mining game for a few years and something simple no lawyer talk would be more effective for a sale.

I will bookmark zighash and check it now and then as the deal they offered 40gh for 900 bucks was a good deal. It would have been likely to roi.

not hard to not lie about it...could have easily said "we will point to whatever pool you choose in our list" that wouldn't be a lie and wouldn't deceive a new customer right away...yes i agree with your most likely to roi...no reason to say that on their website thou

a lie is something not true...they won't point it to whatever pool you want so that is a lie...doesn't need to be lawyer talk or whatever

Yes that was the best deal currently available! That deal has expired and is no longer available! We still have bottom dollar prices on our website right now!

so you reply to him  and don't address the lie on your website? lol nice
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My pool experience with cloud zenminer dot com on: July 26, 2014, 03:35:52 PM
nice a free blade Smiley lucky man, but ya pretty soon they are going to be giving this stuff away at the price drops they are doing to just sell the miners lol

You can buy that amount of hash for $1800

http://zighash.com/collections/zenminer/products/1-month-free-zenminer-hosting-1x-falcon-and-1x-black-widow-40mh-s

Buy two of those

Prices are dropping!

it probably ain't the same power usage as the A2...but oh well...that is a good deal...thanks for posting that...think i might pick me up 1 or 2 of those Grin

Small bump on this.

I've just paid for another months hosting, so this is for sale with 4 weeks hosting.

Willing to listen to offers as stated above.

No one will offer anything close to what you want for it...but glwys anyways

But just in case I'll offer 5btc Wink

Thanks, but no thanks.

The price I'm asking, or willing to accept, will ROI within 4-5 months, which for any ASIC would be fantastic.

I'm literally only selling because I need the BTC for various other ventures. If it doesn't sell, it'll carry on earning for me.

says you Tongue i doubt it will ROI at that price...new hw coming online everyday will make it impossible for that to happen Smiley
336  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 3 x Antminer S2 on: July 26, 2014, 12:58:06 AM
unfortunately no, i specify "shipment on buyer" in first post.

Anyhow the attractive of S2 depends on how much the upgrade kit will cost, abd how much the S4 will be. At hashers it will be i guess at 2.5 TH (10xS3 optimize boards)

holy crap...i forgot about that...aww nobody gona pay 2k for 1th/s dragon miner then lol...wow still can't believe ya can get that much for it...when a new dragon hosted is only 1350...gratz Smiley

This all this new Hashing power added to the pool, one would think the number of blocks found would also increase.

8 new blocks in 24 hours is extremely low, for that amount of processing power.

HMMMM.

Just my 2 cents worth.

True but luck is down...we've been having great luck for the past few weeks...just hope this slump doesn't last for weeks

B looks like it would get rained on. I assume Madrid does get some rain, at some point in the year..

Yeah, right, and this year more often than any other year.

Covered area with roof (area A) its the chosen one i think Smiley I will just have to buy something to protect shelf from sun the few hours that sun hits that area Grin

Here is my open air setup of S2s running on an empty apartment that I own.
(Local laws WILL make me loose the apartment if I rent it, thatīs why I mine there).
It has been running without issue for a few months. It has rained over there a few times without issues so far.
The only thing that really becomes an issue is the dust. I do need to go over there every 3 weeks to clean them with an air compressor.
The image has low quality because I took it from the security camera. I could take better pictures the next time i go there if youīr interested.
The rack itīs located at about 2.5 meters from the balcony.
Cheers

dam your lucky to have an empty space to mine in...nice setup...if i only had the space n power n money to go bigger Sad
