Never thought, it runs GenEthOS from USB flash, no hard drive: ~$ free total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 2047824 1818436 229388 103580 261136 1131976 -/+ buffers/cache: 425324 1622500 Swap: 0 0 0
So actually 0.42GB of physical RAM is used. A bit more including cache, still under 2GB. And no swap/VM. AFAIR, 16GB of virtual memory is the requirement for Windows systems only. PS. What makes this miner different from others is its ability to generate DAG file directly in the GPU memory. This saves a lot of time, main RAM and drive space.

I run it on ubuntu with 2GB of RAM.

Windows 7 + Catalyst 15.12 Windows 10 + Catalyst 15.12 Windows 7 + Crimson 16.X Windows 10 + Crimson 16.X Despite many answers suggesting 15.12, see also msg #1834. I still have not seen any evidence that latest 16.5.* drivers work worse than 15.12. Maybe there were issues with initial 16.* releases in the past, but if all works with the latest, I usually prefer them. i did not find any hashrate or stability issues with 16.5.1 comparing to 15.12 (cards are 7950, 7970, 390X, Win7 64 bit).

Is there any way to mine dual mode: 1. without Eth profit loss 2. without gpu temp increasing ? Last time when I try to mine dual mode my cards overheated, luckilly protection worked.. but I don't want to risk this issue again. Regards! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) 1. Yes, on some cards more, on some less. Play with -ethi and -dcri to fine tune. 2. For every extra computation you pay with power consumed. Play with -dcri to reduce extra load, but no way to do a lot of work and do not pay for it.

.) Possibility to add some CL options like --cl-global-work ?
Page one of this thread, miner manual (or README.txt): COMMAND LINE OPTIONS:
-ethi Ethereum intensity. Default value is 8, you can decrease this value if you don't want Windows to freeze or if you have problems with stability. The most low GPU load is "-ethi 0". Also "-ethi" now can set intensity for every card individually, for example "-ethi 1,8,6". You can also specify negative values, for example, "-ethi -8192", it exactly means "global work size" parameter which is used in official miner.

Let's put in my 5 cents... I'm on r9 280x... My fine point is about with dcri 45. Eth hash grows till this point. If more or less hash on eth drops. Sapphire Vapour-X & MSI Gaming...
Exactly! I also found that in some cases mining in dual mode gives more ETH hashrate than mining ETH only.

I'm new here but wonder every time why no-one RTFM? Ok, not the whole thread but at least the first message with manual and known issues. The issue of temp order mismatch is asked literally on every page of this topic and is well described in the manual on the first page of the thread as well as in the README file of the miner.
This is a known issue, thanks to AMD driver developers. Use -di switch to fix it.

wussup guys, here I am happily paying 2% to claymore I suppose ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Here is my question. I used to mine at dwarfpool, have my backup at coinmine but I wanted to try out ethermine. anybody mine there with claymore ? I cant connect to the stratum server, anybody have any ideas ? -esm 1 ?

270x = 13.4 Mh/s 7950 = 18 Mh/s 280x = 18 Mh/s (!) gigabyte ones, 1020/1550
when i try to set -cclock or -mclock values, the miner fails to start and closes itself. My 7950 (Asus) had the same 18MH/s at current DAG size if not OC'ed. At 1050/1550 they hash at 20.150MH/s (including Decred). My 7970 (MSI) has around 22MHs at 1150/1500, it had only 18.7 before bios update to latest Spring 2013 for my card and didn't want to OC. I use MSI Afterburner for OC (also added some power limit option) on Windows and use only -tt miner option for cooler control.

CAn we mine EXP or KR or other Eth based coins?

What I cannot understand is why do you want to use miner with proxy if it can work with pools directly? It will reduce effective hashrate by 1% at least.
One of possible reasons is a centralized administration which was also promised for your miner as an utility but I believe is not yet implemented/available.
You have non-zero effective hashrate - it is calculated using your submitted shares. So it works.
Use wallet.rigname instead of just wallet for ethermine/ethpool to have shares displayed. Shares usually shown in 5 minutes of runtime. And do not forget add -esm 1 for this pool.
In the epool file, I have the POOL: us1.ethpool.org:3333, WALLET: 0x2xxx, PSW: x, WORKER: rig1, ESM: 1, ALLPOOLS: 0
note the rig1 with WORKER. Will that work with ethpool.org?
Assuming it is the same as for ethermine.org, it should work and show rig name, but do not show share stats (invalid/valid/percent). I use WALLET: 0x2xxx.rig1 to see stats. WORKER: is probably optional, but I didn't try without it.
Probably you are right, I just did not try to specify worker in both WALLET and WORKER, it's senseless for me. Agreed, it was the legacy from my conversion from command line (with -eworker) to autogenerated epools.txt. Anyway, it makes no sense, still doesn't hurt.
2. Some pools don't require worker, but if I remove WORKER option then some people will have problems if they change the pool name and will not know about WORKER option. For dwarfpool WORKER is not necessary because if you use it you will not see hashrate on pool. Instead, add workername to the wallet address as dwarfpool recommends WALLET: 0x...../YourWorkerName.
Actually, WORKER option may be in place and does not break hashrate reporting on DwarfPool. But WALLET: 0x..... /YourWorkerName is REQUIRED for that.

And of course install 15.12 or its dll-s at least.
I saw many times that 15.12 is the best, but no real evidence. I tried both 15.12 and latest 16.5.1 on my rig with few different cards (7950, 7970, 390X) and saw no performance loss/gain. What exactly is wrong with 16.* apart from they use different software architecture inside?

seems nice with this one. but i'm not any good at scripting. it had been nice with a .bat file like this one but for ETH only and how to set OC options like core/powerlimit
To disable DCR completely just set all '0' values in tails of decred pool lines ('Enabled' column), and dpools.txt generated will have no pools, so no decred mined. For OC using miner options just add them to GPU_OPTS line. It now has as example some options to order GPU list of 4 GPUS and target temperatures. You may add/replace with own OC options. PS. Backup your dpools.txt/epools.txt if necessary - this script overwrites them.

After testing 48 hours CDM and Genoil Ethminer - back to Genoil. For me it works better than CDM. Tested on coinotron and ethermine. Now I'm testing the new Version 1.0.8 of Genoil.
Wondering what you mean saying "better" - higher hashrate (or effective hashrate after subtracting DevFee), colder cards, better fallover, etc, etc. Just curious because I used Genoil miner, now using CDM in dual mode.
