321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How gambling sites can cheat you on: January 28, 2019, 03:27:53 AM
Thing you need to know about probably fair websites

1> you control your part of secret
2> website has its know secure text, you get hash for it, so it ensure that there can not be any alteration to the server secret

so a bet roll is generated using 1 & 2, which ensures there is no cheat.

Now consider this

1> your account is hosted on there website, all it takes is 1 command to database to delete your whole account and you will not prove anything.

suppose a user deposited 10 BTC, the website can simply delete his account and claim its never been created, so what use are your secrets hash.

2> or they can alter your password and claim its been hacked and its your responsibility

[ remember : password is saved as hash in the database, so they cannot know your password but they can definitely change it , and claim its been hacked]

FOR NOW THE ONLY SOLUTION SEEMS TO ME IS TO USE , A SMART ETHEREUM CONTACT OR USE BITCOIN ON-CHAIN BETTING.
Scammers that uses fake gambling sites can do that. Don't blame some other gambling sites because of that, it is already been done to you? There are lots of trusted gambling sites now and it is better to search for the gambling sites first before putting a huge amount of your bitcoin. We can also put partial of your bitcoin in gambling site because I think it is safer than to out it all. And play only the amount that can afford to lose than losing all your btc in just one click especially if you enter a non trusted gambling site.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A quick cancellation can make a profit? on: January 27, 2019, 06:17:37 PM
Most people don't know when to walk away.  Casinos bank on the fact that people will always continue to play losing back any significant wins that they achieved.
Most addicted gamblers don't know when they will stop the game most especially, if they sometimes taste the victory, for sure they wanted to achieve it again and again because they've already known the feeling of winning.
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $10 million? on: January 26, 2019, 10:20:50 AM
These guys say that if there's another global economic crisis like there was in 2008 that the price of Bitcoin can go through the roof:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nShdlDc2B6M
Too impossible for bitcoin to reach that $10 Million, it really takes a long long time or maybe it cannot be reached at all, $1 million is already a hard time for bitcoin to achieve what more is $10 million. It is more possible to earn million if you have a good strategy through trading or investing but not by holding your bitcoin in a long term.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICO'S Scamed since last year on: January 26, 2019, 05:25:27 AM
In 2017 the price of cryptos went high so ICO investment also become very popular and millions of money poured into new projects so whcih get attracts many scammers to do the same thing by creating fake site and fake team just because they also want to make that millions in easier way.
I agree. The year 2017 was the most scammers make the fake team for ICO's and they use bitcoin to scam big investors so that investors will invest to them not knowing that their capital is really not direct with bitcoin. They just put their money in a person that is not trustworthy.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with normal games on: January 25, 2019, 06:43:14 PM
It's difficult to find friend want to gambling because most of my friend, avoid gambling !
When I try to tell them about crypto, they are also avoid as well because crypto trading is risky activity.

What would I do ?
I try to find another day and try to show my trading portfolio about crypto and they start thinking about it...
You can still play gambling even without your friends especially if they are not interested in gambling and crypto. Do not force them to get into crypto, it is not your loss anyway. You can still play gambling with normal games with other people if you really want to.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your most common uses for cryptocurrencies? on: January 25, 2019, 02:19:33 PM
I use cryptocurrency to pay bills but most of the time, I use it or encash it because of our daily needs or in emergency uses like hospital bills or for school purposes for my son, but if an online transaction is what you are asking then I mostly use it to pay bills.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: January 25, 2019, 11:30:24 AM
I think it is impossible to do making log records of what you win or what you lose. LOL. It cannot be applied for sure, but if you know how much money you've already lost then you are also the one who actually know if you need to stop by now.

Nope, I doubt that mate, if you really want something to do then you can, unless you're full of excuses. Just before you play have a pen and a paper, and mark it whether you or lose. But still this has nothing to do with the current play offs. It's all within the player whether he/she would continue.

Though having a notes will make you have some good memories of your plays Smiley
Well maybe some gamblers can make log records on what they win or lose but not all can do log records on their own. Not because they have a lot of excuses but because not all the time we have a pen and a paper with us all the time to monitor our games.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: January 25, 2019, 09:32:14 AM
I get now the point of big gamblers, like me i'm not that into big stakes, and just this morning i placed bets on both side of the team not really thinking i just rely on the odds and the teams, i both placed bets on max stakes. just to know what it feels like to really gamble, i think that the point of gambling is to be ready if you'll lose or win, bacause it's gambling everybody wins everybody loses.

And if that person ready to accept whatever the result, he will not become curious or wants to play more and more because he knows that it's not guaranteed for him to win. After he accepts the result, he only needs to focus with the game and forget everything, and maybe with doing that, his luck will come, and he can win in the next round.
No one can guarantee us to win in gambling or any kind of gambling games. It really depends on how we will accept the result of our every gambling games. Sometimes even if how much focus we make in games it will not guarantee us to win, most of the time gambling is more on luck so don't expect anything with gambling.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: January 25, 2019, 08:16:36 AM
I’ve won dozens & dozens of bets in the 10-15 years I’ve been gambling. I don’t keep a record but I have to admit I probably am at massive losses if I added it all up - Wins vs Losses.

Gambling is just a hobby to me though, I play with amounts I can afford to lose.
I don't know if I really won or loss of all the gambling games I played if I will put my games together all and my wins and losses I don't know how much I win and loss, but the most important is, I know that when at the point of being addicted to gambling, I've learned to stop and move on, on all of my losses.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin on: January 25, 2019, 07:45:15 AM

Here's a not so high definition picture of an island i went through last week to keep you investing in Bitcoin and not losing hope.

Bitcoin funded this tour through my hardworks for the year 2018 including my combined earnings through signature campaigns, trading and holding. Those stressful 12 months are all relieved with this wonderful nature. I didnt see any hindrance with the bloody market, thus, finding a way to still earn.

Its not bad rewarding yourself for your hardworks even once a year. Hope i can go somewhere with snow for my earnings this year. Keep investing people !

Update:
For those who wanted another photo, Here is the other picture captured by my partner. This is the view deck but Not a good quality also haha. Resolution problems.

I also had my 1st travel with my partner because of bitcoin, I earn some bitcoin last 2017 and then last January 2018 we travel together because I have earnings with bitcoins and some of my partner's earnings with his job and it was really an amazing experience and we  also wanted to travel again once I have to earn again with good amount of bitcoin, but as of now, I just need to earn more. I just recently gave birth to my 2nd child (daughter) and we need to focus 1st on her needs than to travel. Well, it is still worth it. Another blessing to us because I already have a son and daughter. Well, still thankful to have my earnings with bitcoin because it really helps us a lot.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revolution or a new start? on: January 25, 2019, 02:37:32 AM
Finally US company pay his business tax via BTC so, we can say it's a good start of BTC in future..

I think this company started new revolution so that other company too think of paying tax or payment via BTC. If companies started pay via BTC then other country definatly accepts BTC too.

What you guys think of Overstock participate or I can say start revolution in BTC world.
For me, it does not depend on how US company pays via BTC, it still depends on how companies will get interested in BTC. Still, a lot of company does not accept bitcoin maybe because of its changing value. It is really hard to rely on bitcoin and we don't have any assurance that bitcoin will truly recover. Maybe even if the US makes to pay tax via bitcoin that doesn't mean that other countries will accept bitcoin too.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: January 25, 2019, 02:14:29 AM
The sowing season may not be a friendly and palatable season but every wise farmer knows it is the best season of opportunity to get prepared for the looming harvest. The present dip in crypto market is a fertile ground of opportunity for investors to lay hold on as many coins as possible at cheaper prices to store up for the bumper harvest that is imminent in the crypto market. This market dip is a blessing in disguise for me because it affords me the opportunity to buy coins which were before beyond my financial capacity. We must be determined not be distracted by the shout in the crypto market as regards the dip but rather focus on the great profit  we will get from the market .I will not quit investing because I don't want to stop harvesting. If we focus on the shout of the dip in the market, we won't want to invest but if our focus is on the profit output from the market, then we will keep investing.

Well, that is your perspective in terms of investing in cryptocurrencies. Some other investors especially big investors turn their back in the crypto market after they got scammed by the scammers because of using bitcoin. Scammers use bitcoin when bitcoin is at a good market and makes ATH's because of that, it is the time when big investors will get interested with bitcoin because they believe that they will get profited in a short run. After giving their capital to that scammers they didn't get back their capital and even their profit.
It is good to invest with the crypto market if you will not rely on other people and just give your capital to them. It is good that you have your own strategy than to rely on others.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: So I played again recently, i noticed something.. on: January 24, 2019, 02:11:35 PM
So i recently posted a thread here where houses always win in every game. Here's the link.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088278.msg48816442#msg48816442

After that, i visited again our local carnival last night and i noticed something. If you are observant enough you can cheat the game. Warning: Its not applicable to online games.

So heres what i noticed.
1. The game is what i told last time where there is this ball and wherever the color that ball lands, its the winning color and the price would be quadrouple your bet. So i noticed that theres a certain color that almost win. The color red. Its not just coincidence because last time i checked, it happened again. The color holes are somehow tilted and its not 0 degrees on level and the color red is what it will gonna hit on that position.

2. Color games with dice. So usually, this game consists of three dices , 6 color each (dice have 6 sides). The odds are less because it has more chances of winning. Ex. The dice turns yellow, blue and red, then all the bets will be x1 in that colors. The colors other than that is lost. If the 3 dices turns blue for example then all 5 colors are lost then blue is x3 and so on. If you will notice, the house always shuffle the dices before it roles and put those not winning color in place so that it will have less winners. Look at the position of the dices when it puts on the rolers, then usually, the color below or the color you did not see wins. I usually bet after the dices are arranged so that i can see its position.

I take home triple my gambling capital this time. If you are observant enough, you can somehow cheat. This is not 100% sure but it helps a lot on deciding a bet.

Happy Gambling Smiley
It is not actually can be called cheating, it can be called as a strategy because you are saying that it is how you observe the flow of the game. Or maybe can be called as analyzing. Being observant is also good like analyzing and you applied it by playing gambling which is good that you triple your gambling capital.
If that is the color game that can be played with carnivals, then it is also good, you don't need to go on to the casino just to play and win jackpot prizes.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why does coins change price constantly? on: January 24, 2019, 12:33:00 PM
Why does coins prices fluctuate so much and it is never been constant making predicting price much harder and much riskier and holding on to coins can be the best way right now.

why does it change prices constantly and never stagnant?
Yes, it is better to hold our coins right now because of the dips especially for those who invested in high price but it will takes long time for sure for bitcoin before it will recover. It is because of the demand of the people for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that's why the price is changing.
335  Economy / Speculation / Re: The point of no return on: January 24, 2019, 09:35:19 AM
At which price do you think bitcoin will not be able to recover from? There is strong support at $3500 but is now at risk of being breached.

Is $3000 the low point after which there is limited chances of it returning to the glory days?
No one can tell when bitcoin will return on its glory days, even if bitcoin price will decrease until $3000, there is no assurance or no one can guarantee us that bitcoin will recover after that. As of the moment, we already experience long time stable amount of bitcoin, maybe because no big investors are getting interested again with bitcoin.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: January 24, 2019, 08:43:39 AM
Yes I can resist myself being addicted to the play by niw and hopefully I can control my willingness to bet within my limits in the future too.If you really love to get adrenaline the play low bets and get the feeling of excitement for too long.
The rush is addicting for sure. You can feel the palpitations when the high multipliers are hit and you feel your fingers go numb and ears blocked. Setting up a stop limit is a good thing to keep a control on these. You would not want to "overdo" is because thats what leads to addiction. Once you get a medium to large sized win you should stop.

Keeping a log record of what you win what you lose will also be good. It does not need to be discrete but a daily profit or loss amount should give you an idea whether you are wasting time and money or making it.
I think it is impossible to do making log records of what you win or what you lose. LOL. It cannot be applied for sure, but if you know how much money you've already lost then you are also the one who actually know if you need to stop by now.
337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin above USD 8000 on: January 24, 2019, 02:38:08 AM
After January 2017 we saw a lot of pumps & dumps but after every pump we saw a major dump, result was that bitcoin is almost at bottom.
From here we can aspect a positive re bounce on bitcoin so we can hope now market will green for long term.

We have yet to see the last dip before the recover, usually, the price moves out of the box or our expectation. Remembered when people said Bitcoin has bottomed at $4000 before or even higher than that? in the end, the price declined a lot from where we were expecting it.
do not put too much your hope into our current market, the bear has not done yet.
Predictions have no assurance at all so it is up to us whether to believe those predictions or not. As of now, bitcoin value is in the dip and in my opinion, it will take time before bitcoin value will improve or recover again. If you are an investor, I can say that this is the right time to buy some coin and hold for a long term investment because as we can see bitcoin value is not moving like as fast as the year 2017. Let's just don't expect more with bitcoin and have patience.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is going to rule crypto! on: January 23, 2019, 02:25:18 PM
I'm not updated anymore on what's the movement of crypto's on China after the ban they made for ICOs and trading but what I know was there's still a good number of crypto people out there, including investors and businesses.

They did even ruled and control the market before and right now, looks like they are pushing for more adoption to blockchain and crypto's.
I am also not updated on China's how they accept crypto to their country, the last time I heard is that they banned ICO's and trading that is why bitcoin value drops as the news I heard last year if I am not mistaken. This is also one of the reasons why bitcoin value drops but I guess there is also some other reason why bitcoin value drops so hard. If China is going to use crypto then that is good, there are many of us and in China still believes in the potential of bitcoin.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cyptocurrency never be great again as it was? on: January 23, 2019, 11:42:26 AM
The cryptocurrency's price on the market is still going down... i just wanna know what you guys are thinking of the future of the crypto, would it be great again? or would be at the bottom of the market? or would it be forgotten? tell me what you think and why
in my opinion the current crypto price decline is a common thing, because crypto prices are not stable at one price.
what I'm thinking about now is that crypto will definitely improve again even though it takes a long time.
crypto can't be abandoned, but many people don't just focus on crypto.
Many people doesn't really focus on crypto especially if the value of the market is in dips just like today, but once that the market started to improve or to make another ATH's, that's the time that many people or investors will get interested again in cryptocurrencies which they didn't do when the price is low.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in active projects on: January 23, 2019, 11:17:59 AM
Here is a good source to decide which altcoin to invest in. I would never buy a dead altcoin with no development except Doge. Doge is unique and will be successful without much development.

Source: https://twitter.com/el33th4xor/status/1068856384983363585?s=21

dead alts are:

- Verge
- Holochain
- Bitcoin Private
- Pundi X
- Poet
- Decentraland (MANA)
I will still stick with ETH when it comes in alts since it is the most usable coin in alts and as we can see even if the price gets low, it still continues to use by many people because it is usable when we need to convert our tokens to bitcoin. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the good coins and also Monero is also good in altcoin as what we can see in the graphic but ETH will be the main coin for altcoin for me.
