Mintpal is bent as hell?

Most people trust it, but I'm ready to listen to contrary evidence if there is any.

That doesn't work. It takes specific know-how to run masternodes (someone who is just used to mining for example couldn't just do it without extra study), and if you do it half-assedly you get your 1000DRK stolen. Most of the DRK of which you speak are owned by exchanges, or not particularly techy whales, or not particularly darkheady whales or others who don't intend to run masternodes. Most of that DRK isn't in the hands of those who would run masternodes, and won't be until they bid high enough to prise it from their current owners' clammy mitts.

In that case...

How many masternodes are there now? (Bearing in mind this.)

How many DRK would need to be bought for masternodes to get the number up to 1000 (not even counting any panic buying etc that would cause).

What price will that bring DRK up to when that much is bought?

That should make your 1000DRK investment even more profitable as long as you buy it soon enough.

10% daily gains for 4 months is over 9,000,000% gain. As for at least 10% daily gains for minimum at least a few months... I think someone's exaggerating just a smidgen.

Anything could happen, but I'd hope there'd be a big rise after the fork, from relief & excitement when it works this time, publicity about the update and masternode payments, and maybe a rush to buy masternodes because as previously discussed they might be 3 times more profitable than expected the last time. But yeah, there'll probably be buying beforehand from people who know enough to expect it to go well, so they can buy before it goes up.

One interesting thing that might affect the price somewhat after the 20th... due to a bug (now fixed in new code) that caused masternodes to still look as if they were there when they should have been removed from the list, there are a lot less masternodes than thought, which means they'll be a lot more profitable than expected, which means there'll be a lot more demand for more darkcoin for more masternodes.

The fork is a good thing, the price should go up. Especially afterwards if all goes well, which it should do this time. *crosses fingers* There's certainly been plenty of good testing talent thrown at it and the recent outlook is positive.

Has the actual time been decided, and is it definitely that time zone?
