321  Economy / Speculation / Re: are bitcons getting old? THE STATE OF BITCOINS. on: April 28, 2013, 10:06:19 PM
With the amount of money I've been making there is no way this is getting old. It just keeps getting MORE exciting. I've been here since a couple weeks before the June 2011 crash.

VERY NICE! good job man, please dont let me "start date" fool you.  I have been in bitcoins since they were 2.50 BEFORE the crash. i was buy and using them. i used up all my coins and was doing life things like getting married and all that fun stuff when i went back to BTC i was likeWFT why are they so expensive! five bucks!!! I had no idea that they had gone all the way up to 32 and dropped, i was buying when the dust was just settling, i would buy and use or sell just a few here and there maybe a few hundred worth ya know like 58 coins here 230 coins there. no big deal. then the steady climb started and didnt take it sirious till it was above 20. and at 40 i was like ok i gotta get some more....and keeeep them this time. so at 60 ( it was going so fast then ) i got me some.

i loved the climb and even the dip, though i lost money, was exciting. now its just kinda... there.

like the old saying goes "if it aint got that swing, it dont mean a thing"
322  Economy / Speculation / are bitcons getting old? THE STATE OF BITCOINS. on: April 28, 2013, 09:40:30 PM
are bitcoins getting old to you.  for those that have been in it at least a year or more what are your feelings on bitcoins?  Are you still excited for them? about them? still see a future with them? are your board with them? getting old? same old bullshit kinda up kinda down....its a huge bubble its going to go to fifty cents....its going to be ten thousand dollars in three weeks!!!.

all this is starting to get over played dont your think? what can we do besides cashing in and walking away....or cashing out.

let me know your thoughts on THE STATE OF BITCOINS?

so mods let shit like rabid dogs bolshit bitcoin around and shit everywhere and piss on everything and thats fine but when i make a poll to see who and where and age and all the demographics stuff it gets put into "off topic" fucking kidding me. this forum is getting weeeek ass. im trying to do constructive research but we cant have that. all we need is peole spreading FUD and hate and fear and BULLSHIT everywhere. thats fine. WTF!!!!!
324  Other / Off-topic / Re: demographics poll. lets see what has changed since last poll 5M ago on: April 28, 2013, 09:31:29 PM
I've been using Bitcoins since I was only 14 years old! (I've been doomed to begin with...)

ha thats awesome. good for you.... make wise purchases Wink

If only I were smart enough to stock up on them back in the days... I could've been a filthy rich 16-year-old!

me too! except boy lol
325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come some people all of a sudden are willing to pay so much for bitcoin? on: April 28, 2013, 07:42:29 PM
It doesn't need to make sense. As long as people are greedy or fearful about one thing, there's money to be made.

yes some people who buy BTC are greedy. but you cant always say that they are. its funny cuz everyone who uses BTC want others to use it because they like the concept of it. so to use it they have to buy it but that makes the price go up a little. then they get mad and say oh well you just want to get rich off of it.... ha catch 22
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping Bitcoin Decentralized! on: April 28, 2013, 07:37:26 PM
I have been around Bitcoin for awhile now and have been an investor for almost as long. I really believe that Bitcoin has the potential to be the worlds decentralized, inflationproof store of value, really electronic gold, and it's only been in the past few months that I've been reading Peter Todd's and Gregory Maxwell's writings about the bitcoin blocksize and how important the 1MB limit is to keeping Bitcoin decentralized.

Peter has a new project to create a video/website explaining the limit and how important it is to Bitcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189792 I just donated 1BTC to it myself.

Bitcoin as a payment system just doesn't drive up the price in a long-term stable way. It's just basic supply and demand and as using Bitcoin as a payment system becomes more efficient and the velocity of money goes up, the overall demand for Bitcoins goes down. At the same time you're investment is subject to the risk of alternatives that provide the same low-fees and no-refunds policies that make Bitcoin useful for payments. It really worries me to see the foundation mainly funded by companies that are invested in payments rather than Bitcoin as the store of value that it could be.

I don't think the people in Cyprus, Russia and China care about payments. I think they care about anonymity and the inability of anyone to take your coins from you. We can't let that be risked for the sake of SatoshiDice.

I like your post. thank you

in statistics it is best to take out the two outliers to get the most accurate reading. so all delete three from each side so three 16-18 and three 70+. people that mess with polls always pick one extreme or the other. pollsters know this and adjust accordingly. also that why we put in to extreme variables.  also we don't care about the 16-18 cuz they have very little money, same with 70+ they money they do have they are living off of and are not interested in a "get rich quick" or "risky" investment.

So far, everyone seems to be coming from all over the place Tongue

ya but need a sample of at least 50 to get a decent idea of the market.
331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: whats your age? what do you think the avrage age is for people who buy bitcoins? on: April 27, 2013, 10:14:00 PM
I'm *attempting* to get involved (if you want to help me get involved help me solve my problem reply https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189234.20 here.

But anyway, I want to start things like this and I am really interested in technology related things like this. Neat poll!

thank you. it a good idea to let the corporate side of bitcoin know what the demographic is. it will help BTC grow imo. lets them know who there target market is. so if your company sells depends, maybe its not the best idea to accept BTC. on the other hand a product that is suitable for 30ish probably males will be lucrative.
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if in america, what part on: April 27, 2013, 10:09:46 PM
ha yep.
333  Other / Off-topic / im gunna speculate that.... oh ill wate i dont want to skew the data on: April 27, 2013, 10:08:29 PM
ok im going to

speculate that

most all

bitcoiners are

male. ya wild guess hugh. 84-88% prediction
sorry to make it like those stupid fucking emails but i had to have my prediction far enough down so people wouldn't pick female just to prove me wrong. I bet you that at lest ten ( in the age groupe 18-21) pick female becouse its just so funny to pick that when you are that age.... oh kids will be kids.  ------we will see 22 females in all and ten will be fake so 12 will be true females. maybe???
334  Other / Off-topic / Re: demographics poll. lets see what has changed since last poll 5M ago on: April 27, 2013, 10:00:34 PM
that's clearly an average age speculation. 32 seems to be a huge wall, only very bearish minds think they'll get any younger!

hahaha damn thats my age!!! maybe it can go a little higher but not much.... 20s suck ass anyways.....you only figure that out when your out of them. 30s are good. but maybe ill be a bear after that  Cheesy

haha seriously funny my man!
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: whats your age? what do you think the avrage age is for people who buy bitcoins? on: April 27, 2013, 08:02:31 PM

337  Other / Off-topic / Re: demographics poll. lets see what has changed since last poll 5M ago on: April 27, 2013, 07:58:09 PM

...and just wtf has this to do with Speculation sub-forum?

nobody goes anywhere else. if i want a good sample size i gotta put it here. I know it not speculating but I thank you for your understanding.

I could speculate though so it qualifies....... BTC will go to 850 then drop to 25 bucks then back to 32,897. and stay there forever.  Grin
338  Other / Beginners & Help / if in america, what part on: April 27, 2013, 07:54:28 PM

this will be good info so businesses know what and who to market to. I will probably make one for location too.
