Was just wondering, if it doesnt matter if theyre joined together or not, then what would be the advantage of ever linking them in the first place?
The main reason being that you only need a single ethernet cable instead of one per Giant.

Am I the only one that gets pissed off with posts like this? DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! Take some time to use www.google.com and search the threads in this forum... If you can't be bothered to do a simple search, you're never going to make a profit mining... no, you're not, always im reading this forum, i'd like to ehm... Then why look the thread up and comment on it? It hadn't received a reply in three days.

I don't know, I had some connection issues at home (my connection is way worse, like 20/2Mbps adsl) with 2 rigs, I guess they collapsed the upload so I don't want to suffer the same problem with 20 rigs, or at least I want to know how much would be my internet connection expenses. Also, I don't know if this mining programs establish a lot of connections like a p2p program, because that behaviour kills connections easily, not like a bandwith problem, in the case of multiple p2p programs I think is more about the router being unable of attending hundreds or thousands of connections.
I have three rigs mining on a 20/2 Mbit ADSL connection. They're not making any difference to the connection at all. Perhaps you had a shitty router or something else was wrong. One thing is for sure though, the mining wasn't the reason.

You basically got it all right.

This will be my first time mining.
Does it matter whether you parallel up all the machines or not?
Say i was in a mining pool and i had 10 Giants all paralled up, for a grand total of 9Gh/s...
If i were in the same mining pool, but with 10 Giants running separately @ 900Mh/s, Would i be mining the same amount as the "above mentioned"?
10x900 is the same no matter how you look at it. Last time I checked, that's how math works.

PinIdea sent me an email a couple of hours ago saying that they'll get their DR3 in Stock next week.

How do you plan to connect and power a GPU through USB? It's simply not possible.
External GPU's (or rather, cases for them) are a lot more expensive than a single motherboard.
So to answer your question - yes.

baikal, do you know when approx will be the baikal miners again on stock?
No, they don't know.

I just purchased a Giant from Baikal, so I'm looking forward to receive it. I'm hoping I'll get it late next week, but I'm counting on the week after that.

I'm about to purchase a Giant tomorrow, so just wanted to make sure there isn't going to be another group buy in a week or so? It's a risk I take instead of waiting, but if there isn't going to be another group buy in the coming weeks/months, I'll just buy it tomorrow instead.

This looks interesting, I might give this a go when I receive my Baikal miner. Great work!
By the way, "sended" is not a word. "Sent" is what you're looking for.

It is crazy. Why can't you and I do a purchase together and buy 3 Giants? Why they make this limit of 1pc...
By the way don't you want to wait for another groupbuy? The guy who organizes this mentioned that there's something on the way...
I'm assuming that they're limiting it to one per customer in order to "get the word out" and when everyone has one Giant, they'll be tempted to purchase more when they are available. Instead of some people buying all stock and the rest goes to a competitor or buys nothing at all. Of course I would like to be in a new group buy, but I have the feeling that it'll take quite a while before another one appears. Like the organizer just said, they're almost out of stock which means that there's not enough stock for a group buy. I might get unlucky though and who knows, there might appear a group buy a week after I purchased mine, but we're taking risks in the crypto world all the time.

From baikal website? Go ahead and check if that's possible. They told me they are out of everything. I couldn't buy 2 Giants and later just 1. That's what they replied me: We are out of stock of our miners at the moment, we do not have any infomation yet on when our new stock of miners will be produced. Yeah, I spoke to them today and I can purchase one Giant (and only one) because I'm a new customer. I asked if I could get back to them tomorrow because I need to purchase the BTC and it was fine.

1 Giant has 2 boards.... on the picture you can see a total of 8 boards. I have 4 Giants hooked up together.
Right, that makes sense. Thanks for confirming. I'm about to purchase a Giant myself tomorrow, so that's comforting. Too bad I missed the group buy opportunity though, could've saved quite a bit.

Hashrates after 24hours running 460 MH/s seems quite a long way from the advertised 900 MH/s. Or is that 4 Giants together?
|
|
|
I'm kind of interested in purchasing a Baikal 150 MH miner. I'm thinking about getting one of those instead of another GPU.
Do you guys think that's wise?

I don't think the site have good design can make people interested to gamble at the site, that's only a little factor but the most important how do they treat the customer. for example like bitcoin.tm, in my opinion they have great design but now see they are scam site.
Well, the design does matter to me. I don't want to spend time on an ugly website several hours. Just like I don't want to spend time in an ugly and disgusting bar. I'd rather spend my money on a website that looks good, just like I would rather spend my money in a nice bar. Of course, it needs both. Customer service is of course important. So is a low fee and fast payouts.

I'm pretty sure KingDice counts as dice rolling (and absolutely not unique), which I clearly stated that I am not interested in.

Thanks for blatant advertising without even reading the thread. I wish these things were prohibited. Apparently I need to clarify the original post.

Hello,
I'm looking for new venues to spend my BTC (and ETH). I honestly don't care much about house edge (though the lower the better of course) and other specifics.
I do, however, care about the games being fun and that they look good and sound good (if there are sounds).
As "fun" and "looking good" are both subjective, I'll mention the few sites where I've actually spent my money. They are Satoshimines, Bustabit and BitKong. One could argue that Bustabit and Satoshimines really aren't lookers, but they were fun. I also tried BubbleCoin but that didn't satisfy my needs.
So any new fun game suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Please note that I'm not interested in poker - or any card game, baccarat or similar, dice rolling or HI-LOW, slots, lotteries or sports betting. No casinos unless they happen to have a unique game like those mentioned above. I'm also not looking for games that are close to exact copies of said games (like flinch.io). Simply put - something more unique than what everyone else already has would be preferred.
Thank you!
