322  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people dump their Bitcoins ? on: October 11, 2015, 02:47:45 PM
some buy, some sell, some hodl
miners dump for most part to cover costs
others trade to try to get more coin

many different angles

324  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Halvening on: October 11, 2015, 01:10:26 PM
Halving is overhyped. W can only speculate what will happen after it. Standard economics, law of supply and demand would say that bitcoin price MUST go up. But here is a problem, Bitcoin is not exactly under influence of standard economics laws. Personally I would be very surprised if bitcoin price skyrocketed as a result of halving.

agree to a point, especially with alts

however, mining costs are so enormous and industrial for bitcoin
it will definitely affect price, pretty much as they won't autosell
we are pretty much at break even now

life inside china bitcoin mine, motherboard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8kua5B5K3I

I will be amazed if we are not mid to high xxx btc in a year, min

not just based on the halvening
325  Economy / Economics / Re: The $1 Million Dollar Bitcoin on: October 11, 2015, 12:08:21 PM
no never, ever
unless a loaf of bread reaches $200 each maybe

realistically I can't see ever over very low xx,xxx and that's max
326  Economy / Economics / Re: Lets prove to the world that money is an addiction on non-scarce things on: October 10, 2015, 09:59:05 PM
Bitcoin is objectively the best form of money

the problem is we lack the insane monstrious infraestructure of the state, and that's violence monopoly and basically mass acceptance. Those two things are the only things that aren't allowing making 1 Bitcoin = 1 Billion dollars, where it should be if people used the objectively, best, most updated version of money we've ever seen.

great post my friend

'they' are trying this whole, its the blockchain, not bitcoin thats important, right now
wanting to build their own blockchains
good luck with that lol
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: October 10, 2015, 09:45:45 PM
the fact he was doing this whilst in the U.S is the most extraordinary thing.

he had like 100 million in btc at one point maybe more.

plus he was cordinating a marketplace for literally anything to be sold. overdoses, deaths as a result

wasn't like a bit of weed being sold

it's a tragedy in many ways as he seems very likeable and very smart but how naive was he to think he wouldn't be caught

like people who go on about tor, u.s navy invented it decades ago. you think this is secure? lol
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Halvening on: October 10, 2015, 09:39:56 PM
yes, I like the title too

like 'the quickening' in the highlander  Cool

331  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: btc-e.com is a scam on: October 10, 2015, 12:25:09 AM
Hello everyone,

www.btc-e.com are thieves

I would like to warn you all that btc-e bans without legit reason and then because of the ban (which is set to forever) you cannot post in chat boc on the webpage, but you also CANNOT WITHDRAW YOUR MONEY OR COINS! So basically, if someone denies withdrawals of funds for eternity, they actually stole that!
I can still log-in to my account, I can even set orders, but I cannot withdraw my funds.
When I contacted support, they just keep repeating they banned my account because they think I posted links in chatbox  on  the webpage that led to some virus. Although I said I dont know anything about any virus, they didn't tell me exactly what was that link that I suposingly sent in the chat(even if I did send something, like a link, it was as a response to someone elses post). Anyway, if we assume that I really did post something in that chat box, I didnt do it with intention but am willing to accept I cannot post in it anymore, but I cannot accept that I cannot make a withdrawal, 'cause then that is stealing done by btc-e.
Considering they haven't answered to my ticket in over 7 days, does anyone know what could I do and to whom and how to report this crime?
I emphasize thay I have US Dollars, bitcoins and litecoins on my account and that they deny withdrawal of anything. I cannot withdraw MY funds... ever! Stealing btc-e

yes, has same thing
I have been with them years too

they have many scam mods, not just unscrupulous but downright criminals. main one was koolio but he is long gone now
paul is a nice guy, if anyone knows if he's a member here let me know

as had same thing, luckily only have some namecoins on there, but is principle
couple months back was trlling having a laugh in the 'trollbox' famous for trolling it is
mod was on period it seems and got not 1 hour ban, but 6 months!

same as you opened support tickets etc.

well it will hurt them more if we open threads every day and cover google with their thefts
I mean I can actually wait 6 months it's no big deal, like watching paint dry over there, as long as I get my coins or will report them to authorities in whatever country theyre in

dont waste money on legal threat, just flag them up to powers that be

too many loose cannon exchanges out there. cryptsy are even worse

we really need some better people running exchanges it's too wild west

let us know if you get sorted

nb: yes, I got accused of the malware thing too which is utter crap. there is trollboxarchive.com btw to prove your case to them
I told them this but you never hear back from second support ticket

bottomline these aren't people to trust. keep the bare mimimum on exchnage and keep out trollbox is moral of story
but yes, get coins back
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy 2.0 **** New UI **** Most wanted features **** TODAY on: October 09, 2015, 05:52:00 PM

- More selective Order management
- Market lists reflect 24 hour gains and losses
- Market pages reflect gains and losses and order book spreads.

- User profile pages
- Private messaging
- and much more!

So join us for the launch, and thank you for using Cryptsy.com

more wallets than I can count been down for 11 or 12 days!

support tickets not being answered

people being banned in chat raising legitimate concerns

cryptsy twitter silent, not answering concerns

wtf is going on at cryptsy?
you have refuted everything coinfire have said but you are doing a very good job at zero customer support, looking incredibly inadequate at running an exchange at the very least.

so answer first question, how is it possible to have these tons of wallets down for almost 2 weeks. people can't withdraw
333  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: October 09, 2015, 05:13:36 PM
cryptsy support not answering tickets
many , more than can count wallets been down for 11 days!
bigvern ignoring tweets
chat mods incapable of doing anything

I had a gut feeling something was wrong just before site update and got some coins out, not all

just waiting for wallets (if ever) to be out of 'maintenance) then will leave cryptsy for good

they are very close to being sued by many people

334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man Behind Week-Long Bitcoin Attacks Reveals Himself on: October 09, 2015, 07:18:55 AM
Why the member who love bitcoin is trying to break its network or working system? Is it only for security test or just to get bitcoin down? Everybody here i think loves the way bitcoin work but why all of these test or attacks going on by the people who love bitcoin.  Huh Huh

try reading the article by visiting link
he doesn't love bitcoin
335  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Devastation on: October 09, 2015, 06:20:21 AM
Don't mind me. Just tagging this legendary and important topic so I can read regular updates on it.

It still shocks me how many people "prefer" fiat because they feel better with bankers controlling their destiny.

One of the saddest things about humanity is most of them don't want freedom - they want safety and comfort.  Freedom is hard because you have to think for yourself and do ideological battle with others.  Being a slave isn't as lucrative, but it's much less stressful if enslaved to a competent master.  All your needs are taken care of and you have no question as to your purpose.

very well said

the other thing that is said, is when someone is enslaved but can't see the bars. they think they're free!
most of the sheep. maybe they are lucky. ignorance is bliss!  allegedly  Cool
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man Behind Week-Long Bitcoin Attacks Reveals Himself on: October 09, 2015, 05:48:44 AM
thanks for link to story tokeweed

very annoying but does need addressing
I have little faith in the core developers or foundation to agree zip these days
plus it takes them months, years to even code something small, then they make out their genius'

maybe this guy is doing us a favour in a way
but what if multiple people start doing it? what if he makes his 100 line code opensource

exchanges like cryptsy can't even get basic wallets for alts resynced in over a week. then shut down btc wallet for withdrawals due to this issue for days

shows how fragile things are right now

it would only take a few of these guys to affect price in a bad way, add block debate to conversation too
337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the final US Marshals auction produce a pump, a dump, or a flat price? on: October 08, 2015, 05:40:53 PM
maybe news will make price go a tad higher, but pretty flat
hopefully buyers, who have to jump through all hoops and have details with authorities are hodlers

nice knowing they will be out of 'authority' hands
less huge chunks around owned by one person the better
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: October 08, 2015, 05:37:07 PM
closer to $10k than other figures.
it is more like 4 years away,2020
I expect to see $8k each sort of range
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: [prediction] Next spike $560,000 14 months from now on: October 08, 2015, 12:08:13 AM
very entertaining thread, have read it all
tbh $560 before year end would be very nice and not that surprising, but VERY overdue,
last 2 years or so have been HARD

tbh, even $1k+ is not beyond realms of imagination by year end but I really, really doubt it

when thread was posted year ago or so, I too felt in a year surely we would be past old highs, sadly not
truth be told none of us mere mortals are in control of the price, all you can do is buy, hodl or sell, it won't affect price

we'll see what ahppens, but I do expect some fireworks soon

the global economy is indeed unravelling (about time)
I just hope when btc is worth $5k, that a loaf of bread doesn't cost $250  Wink
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: quiet before the storm. $18000 coming! on: October 07, 2015, 06:17:24 PM

if this happens in 2015, if btc touches $18k I will blow you live on cam to all bitcointalk members, and I'm not gay
so that is how sure I am it won't lol
lovely thought though..... hitting that price I mean  Grin

Let's hope an early adopter with their fiat cannons loaded doesn't take a shine to your tight buns then.

lmao

if it did hit 18k each in this time, which no way on earth it can, less than 3 months from $250, I would also eat my hat, coat, sofa (probably) lol

I do think, becuase of everything happening, including economy which should have crashed into ocean along with stock markets STILL faking it, added to btc being wildly underpriced along with some other cryptos, we could see $1k before year end. possibly, I would be surprised not to see $500+ range
