321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How stable is Bitcoin. on: May 21, 2018, 09:08:04 AM
Bitcoin is quite stable technically, but price wise it is still quite unstable and this volatility is due to no regulatory over watch and the markets being open 24 hours for trading. Also as the market cap increases of Bitcoin it will become more stable and the price volatility will keep on decreasing with it.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why many banks hate cryptocurrency ? on: May 21, 2018, 09:03:04 AM
Most of the time the reason for banks banning crypto currency transactions is cause they say they don't know the source of the money and that it could have been an illegal transaction. Also crypto currency is something that threatens the monopoly of banks over money and banks would try to hinder the progress of crypto currencies as much as possible.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long Bitcoin can survive in cryptocurency industry ? on: May 21, 2018, 08:57:34 AM
Bitcoin can survive in this world quite easily as its decentralized and even if few governments ban Bitcoin its working wont be effected and it will be working as usual. But how long Bitcoin can be the king and survive in the crypto industry is a question that I'm not sure about. As so many new coins with innovative technology are coming up that can make the Bitcoin tech obsolete.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 21, 2018, 08:51:13 AM
Well it would be great if crypto currency is taught in schools and universities but I don't think the governments would allow that. As crypto currency is decentralized and that is something that the governments are very against. Although I'm sure that online courses would become extremely popular with the masses.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Strategy on: May 20, 2018, 02:19:39 PM
You are trying to invest your hard earned money into a risky market like crypto markets and you aren't even sure about how you should invest it. Why would you believe someone on a online forum cause they are most likely going to recommend the coins they hodl or something they are looking to dump in the market.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: May 20, 2018, 11:08:12 AM
Bitcoin is actually the opposite of Ponzi scheme as its creator even after having such a large hodling of coins hasn't touched it, otherwise he could have sold just a small portion of it and made millions of dollars. Also ponzi schemes don't last this long and you don't have institutional investors investing in it.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can FUD destroy bitcoin? on: May 14, 2018, 06:33:20 PM
As innocent and silly as it all may seem, a tweet capable of obliterating 10% of an entire market is objectively a very dangerous thing. I can't say if FUD wll destroy bitcoin completely but it does temporary damage every once in a while. This is precisely why cryptocurrencies must become mainstream and spread into the hands of the ordinary people.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can buy KFC chicken by Bitcoin on: May 14, 2018, 06:29:36 PM
Yes, I read about it few months ago. The move is a first in the restaurant world. While select franchise locations of other restaurant chains accept Bitcoin as payment, this appears to be the first time a parent company has embraced the digital currency.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank? on: May 14, 2018, 05:37:33 PM
Banks are safer for average people, for the most of the time at least. Average people would rather "buy" BTC from banks, trust their public keys to their hands, because holding your own keys means you are responsible from them, you can't blame your stupidity to someone else.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pakistanis Find Alternative Ways to Trade Bitcoin Citing Ban on Crypto on: May 14, 2018, 05:35:06 PM
That's really fascinating to know. I love it when people go against the norms even if there are hundreds of difficulties. I still wish Pakistan and other countries who banned cryptocurrencies should lift the ban.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe bans crypto trading on: May 14, 2018, 01:07:07 PM
The moves by Zimbabwe’s central bank are particularly unfortunate for local cryptocurrency users, as many of Africa’s underbanked population use the coins to pay for transportation, buy food, and top-up cellphones. It seems to be an attempt at consolidating power, as the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies has allowed them to become alternatives to weak, local fiat currencies that are facing rampant inflation.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: May 14, 2018, 12:49:40 PM
The problem is anyone can give ratings on ICO rating sites. There are no barriers to become an ICO reviewer and give ratings on ICOBENCH and some other ICO rating sites.

You have to register a profile. No KYC, of course, so you can pretend to be anybody. Then you have to “Apply for Expert” in order to be granted the privilege to assess ICOs.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung has now entered the cryptocurrency world on: May 13, 2018, 12:55:28 PM
Samsung isn’t the only one exploring possibilities of manufacturing hardware for cryptocurrency mining. There’s also Kodak, which hasn’t garnered as much interest. Nonetheless, the news of Samsung entering the mining hardware space is likely to stir things up.
334  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook ‘Exploring’ Making Its Own Cryptocurrency, Media Report on: May 13, 2018, 12:49:34 PM
Yeah, I read that too. Facebook has over two billion users globally and launching cryptocurrency will allow them make payments using a virtual currency like Bitcoin.

There is double standard of facebook though, first it banned cryptocurrency ads and now it is launching its own cryptocurrency. May be they had planned it from start only. It is  a good news for all of us nonetheless.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is Bitcoin used to extort people? on: May 13, 2018, 11:46:19 AM
People can use any kind of currency to extort others. I think with bitcoin, it has kind of become easier.

Authorities have had trouble estimating the exact number of victims because many do not report their problem and quietly pay the price. The Federal Bureau of Investigation said it had received 992 complaints related to just CryptoWall alone between April 2014 and June 2015 with losses totaling $18 million. This figure does not include plots involving other programs.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin valuable? on: May 09, 2018, 03:05:58 AM
The value of something is derived from the demand it has. Now as we all know that the demand for Bitcoin had reached the sky during the last years bull rally and thus we got to see that in the price of Bitcoin. Similarly if the demand gets low than the price gets low too. So if anyone says that Bitcoin doesn't has any value than ignore him.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you forget your bitcoin wallet password? on: May 07, 2018, 06:34:40 PM
Than you will be responsible for the lost coins as it is mentioned a thousand times to keep your password and private keys safe and that you will not be able to recover them later on if you lost them. Also no matter how much you try you wont be able to recover your password or wallet and anyone saying that they can recover is just trying to scam you.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook banning All crypto ads!! on: May 07, 2018, 06:26:16 PM
What facebook is banning is ICO ads and thats actually a good news for the crypto industry as most of the ICO ads running on facebook and other social medias are nothing but scams. Also there is pressure on facebook from government agencies to crackdown on crypto related stuff and promotions.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: May 07, 2018, 06:19:50 PM
Why are you arguing with your friends? When you get your next expensive car or house from the earnings from bitcoin they will realize themselves that who the fool is in between you and them. Ponzi schemes don't last this long and doesn't attracts billionaires to invest in it. Just ignore them.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 07, 2018, 05:45:33 PM
The answer is quite simple really, why would governments allow something like Bitcoin flourish on which they don't have any control over. The governments make anything illegal that they cant control or have any power over. And if you are waiting for the governments to make bitcoin legal than you will have to wait a long time.
