3204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do gambling websites start investigating accounts only after big wins? on: February 15, 2021, 09:49:05 PM
Gambling website are operating to make a profit just like any other company, so it's not a big surprise that they check someones profile after he had a huge successful bet or when he requests a big payout.
Especially if it's a newly registered user and it's his first bet or something. If they investigate an account for no good reason or trying to refuse to pay out money that was won with a legitimately placed bet than that's definitely not ok and illegal.

Huh
3206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk tweet causes Dogecoin holders to dump on: February 15, 2021, 04:30:06 PM
I hope elon musk realises that he is in a position where a simple tweet of him has big impacts on the life of some people.
First he tweets something positive about dogecoin and makes a lot of people very happy with nice 10x.
Now probably a lot of people bought into dogecoin because of his recent shills and the associated media exposure and now he is criticizing it make the price dump 20%.
3207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: February 15, 2021, 03:23:26 PM
The best thing is to set yourself a clearly defined price where you sell for example 20% of your holdings then a price target for the next 20% and so on and to keep a small portion of your investment just for the case the whole crypto market really goes crazy and does a 100x.
But i'm also not following this rule strictly to be honest and it served me well in the last few months/weeks. I invested in a few projects that did 20x and more so i am happy right now that i haven't sold when they were at x2.
If the market crashes today than i'm at loss of course.

I'm also surprised Nadal won against Fognini in straight sets. Expected it to be a bit tougher for Rafa.

When i tuned in fognini just made a break in the second set and i thought that, fognini woudl take the set and then everything would have been on course for a great and close match.
But then was very unlucky in the game and rafa immediately managed a rebreak, and everyone knows that once fognini is in a bad mood it all goes down the drain  Smiley.

3210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If a project gets too complicated on: February 14, 2021, 07:38:28 PM
Ideally the whitepaper is written well enough that even "normal" people can understand the benefits and key features of a project without having to google every second word in it.
If a project is really all about new tech than the best thing is to publish a normal whitepaper and additionally a technical whitepaper where interested and knowledgeable folks can dig deep into code, parameters equations and so on.
3211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: February 14, 2021, 05:20:53 PM
Online education is already the standard i would say, at least for universities.
When i wrote my master-thesis i was only once at my university an that was to hand it in.
All the books and stuff that i needed where also available as digital copies and i could access my university library from home or work via VPN.
It's hard to imagine, how learning was like 50 years ago when you couldn't look stuff up everywhere everytime.
3212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some 16000 usd but need to know investment portion on: February 14, 2021, 02:14:35 PM

i have done many jobs and hard earned 16000usd. If i invest on INJ , ETH, DOt or any other potential coin. What is the investment amount or ration that would you all recommended ?

1000$ or 3000$ or 100$ or any other amount?

Well first of all, only invest the amount in cryptos that you can afford to lose.
The next question is what kind of investment do you want to make? Are you looking for relatively save and stable investments than i would put a big part of your money into BTC. But also projects like ETH or polkadot like you already mentioned should be doing fine.
If you want to go for high risk investments in hope for quick x10 or more than you can try to join one of those investment pools for example and join pre-sales, but you need to understand that the risk of a total loss of your funds is way higher this way.
3213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 14, 2021, 01:50:57 PM
Cant believe Thiem lost against Dimitrov and 6-0 in the 3rd set. its like the life was sucked
out of him in the match against Kyrgios.

Yeah i was hoping for much a closer and longer match than that. But when you keep in mind that Thiem had a very close 5 set match against Kyrgios before while Dimitrov only had to play 1 set against Carreno busta before this one gave up its not that surprising.
If Thiem could have managed to win one of the first two sets than maybe he could motivate himself a little more but under this circumstances he was completely done in the 3rd set.
3214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 14, 2021, 12:26:13 AM
De Minaur is playing against a tough Fognini.

Waiting for Thiem vs Dimitrov later, it's good that I can watch it live during my time.

It's concerning the status of Djokovic, but he should make the right decision. If he aggravated this injury then it might hurt him in the long run. So it's better for him to rest or just retire in this year's AO, (this is just me). He is still very much on the prime of his career and he can still chase AO in the next 2-3 years.

I am also looking forward to the match of thiem vs dimitrov i just love to watch players that are using a one-handed backhand. It just looks much more elegant than the two-handed variant.
Regarding Djokovics injury, i think there is also the possibility that the injury isn't that bad he isn't injured at all. I watched his match against Fritz and he moved ok and djokovic is known to be a little drama queen sometimes and taking medical breaks without even needing it.
3215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 13, 2021, 06:13:15 PM
Bundesliga is really not doing that well for gamblers at all, it is really at a place where everything is quite shocking. Dortmund has a tie once again, this time around with hoffenheim, and I expected them to win it easily. Leipzig won which was expected and I won that one but unfortunately it was in a multi so eventually got nothing, leverkusen somehow got a tie with mainz, which was the biggest shock to me honestly, this week that is the game I am most shocked about unless Bayern ends up losing.

Yeah this year is pretty unpredictable. Even bayern lost a few times and had some draws. Leverkusen having a draw against mainz was completely out of nowhere because leverkusen played great last week.
Dortmund is the biggest disappointment this season. At the moment it seems that the bvb is not playing in the champions league next year. They really need to change their strategy and stop to only buy young talents that are not yet good enough to play for the real big clubs yet.
3216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 13, 2021, 04:20:16 PM
I have always been interested in mining cryptocurrency in a very long time and my biggest obstacle has always been the financial resources to purchase mining rigs and electricity required however remaining crypto-currencies became almost impossible for me because of the high cost involved and very low profit margin so I am pumped to ask that with the recent pumps in crypto prices and everything going to the moon is it profitable to mine Bitcoin in 2021 or any other altcoins please let me know.

A good source to check how much you can earn at the moment with mining with different gpu's is https://whattomine.com/
But generally you can say that if you have to pay for your electricity than it's probably not really profitable to mine especially when you also have to buy your gpu's for the full price first.
In that case i would just buy coins for the amount of money that you were willing to invest in a mining rig.. probably better.  Smiley
3217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH COIN IS THE NEXT ETHEREUM ? on: February 13, 2021, 02:14:30 PM
I think it's getting harder and harder for new projects to overtake ethereum in terms of total market cap. If i remember correctly XRP overtook ETH for a few days or so sometime last year.
Regarding new ETH in terms of functionality there are a lot of projects that are doing similar things like ETH and maybe some of them do it even better than ETH because they could learn from it's flaws.
ETH is still the market leader of smart contracts and it will definitely stay that way if the transition to ETH 2.0 is successful.
3218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: February 13, 2021, 12:32:33 AM
I don't own any Dogecoins myself but i always liked that project because it just seems to be sympathetic and fun to me and it kinda represents the freedom and independence of the early crypto days.
That being said, i would never invest in Dogecoin right now, the fact alone that it's supply is uncapped discourages me to invest into dogecoin.
3219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk said he bought Dogecoin on: February 12, 2021, 11:37:14 AM
Just half an hour ago, Elon Musk tweeted that he has purchased Dogecoin. This is hilarious. Finally he is getting into crypto (may be he was here for long ago). I just got the reason behind his shilling lol.
Here- https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1359519541219500033?s=19

His shilling wouldn't make sense if he only bought in now after he made the prices increase lol, but i'm pretty sure he bought soome Dogecoin before he began with his tweets, he's not that stupid.
You can also see that his last tweets did not have a positive positive effect on the price anymore. Which is logical because the first wave of surprise of him shilling doge are gone and the price per Doge i still very high.
3220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about new projects on: February 12, 2021, 08:24:23 AM
I also think that a lot of newly introduced crypto projects would have a much faster and wider adaption if they wouldn't create a own token that users of their platform need to buy first and would instead use BTC or even FIAT as payments.
Projects choose to create their own token because so they can freely decide about the distribution of those tokens and if your project is successful and you as the team own 20% of the tokens you made it.
