i'd like to see some buys were pretty darn close to the launch pad line.

but who buys bitcoin on a saturday??

 Tongue

Hahaha, maybe people who read this forum on a Saturday? Tongue

(But I guess we're all bought in already Smiley )

hehe Smiley I must say I don't remember when I bought some Bitcoins Smiley
It is mostly because I am earning them from time to time and I haven't got money to buy and HODL Smiley

But I want to buy them everyday Smiley doesn't matter is it Friday, Wednesday or Sunday Smiley
3205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People need to stop calling Bitcoin "a virtual currency" on: July 05, 2014, 10:24:17 PM

I agree and use the terms crypto and digital similarly.

There are dozens of turn of the century crypto / non-crypto digital currencies. (If you want to learn a bitbabout the history, check out my history lectures here: https://www.udemy.com/bitcoin-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-crypto/ )

Thanks for the link.
This seems very interesting.
There is quite a lot to listen and learn for listeners -  good job.

+10 for doing those 6 sections. (I see you are just about to record SECTION 5: Bitcoin Wallets - that will be very interesting I need to ask you a question about those records - PM sent)

I will listen to some of them for sure.

Regards.
3206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TOO MANY BITCOINERS on: July 05, 2014, 09:57:28 PM
I think everyone should stop mining and let me claim the current 15k prize every 10 minutes, sound fair?

That would be nice for you, isn't ? Smiley

Be the only miner Cheesy  wow.

There will be more and more miners and more and more Bitcoiners.

Gavin didn't want to say "There are too many Bitcoiners. People should stop mining."

People should mine Bitcoin if they want and nothing will stop anyone as everybody can do it.

Problem is with ROI but well ... people need to calculate their profits reasonably and there is always a possibility that something might go wrong if you are thinking only about huge profit.

3207  Other / Off-topic / Re: [CONTEST] win 0.28 BTC - guess the magic number 1-100 on: July 05, 2014, 09:42:16 PM
I meditated a little and saw 59 number as the winning

Huehue xD

This thread is starting to be good for yoga xD

Everybody will meditade to see an answer xD
3208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People need to stop calling Bitcoin "a virtual currency" on: July 05, 2014, 09:37:20 PM
September, 2013, Bitcoin Foundation to Federal Election Commission: "Bitcoins are often referred to as 'virtual currency.' The Bitcoin Foundation prefers the term 'digital currency.' "

https://bitcoinfoundation.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Bitcoin-Foundation-FEC-filing-CAF-Advisory-Opinion.pdf

Virtual currency is a term defined by FinCEN; it encompasses digital currencies, tokens, pre-paid gift cards, etc I suppose...

…"virtual" currency is a medium of exchange that operates like a currency in some environments, but does not have all the attributes of real currency. In particular, virtual currency does not have legal tender status in any jurisdiction. This guidance addresses "convertible" virtual currency. This type of virtual currency either has an equivalent value in real currency, or acts as a substitute for real currency…

http://www.fincen.gov/statutes_regs/guidance/html/FIN-2013-G001.html

This seems like an answer to the problem.

Well I must tell that I was saying about the Bitcoin that it is a "virtual currency" as some people understand this term better than "digital currency" when you want to explain what Bitcoin is.

But nowadays I used to say "cryptocurrency" - is a 'digital currency' really the best choice as Foundation prefers that one or is it just a matter of what we like to say better.

I think both terms seems good.

Crypto currency
Digital currency   - in both cases name include a deep meaning of what it really is.

Maybe we should **join them together and say  Digital crypto currency Smiley

What do you think about it?

Regards.

**Edited : I wrote "split" instead of "join" Smiley

I closed my eyes and imagine a while paper with black numbers written in Times New Roman and I saw 65.

65 is the answer. ;]

I don't get it ... your "website" is some pool ...

"Re: New website for everything on Bitcoin" is pretty wrong title for posting that kinda link to some pool ...

So where is the point? Advertising?

1st question - when blockchain.info was down today?

blockchain.info was down about 2 hours ago, and I was given a "Error 520".

Thanks for letting me know Smiley I didn't saw that.

Well it happens occasionally. Very occasionally that's why I did asked when this happens cause this is always interesting when they're down Smiley
3212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: July 05, 2014, 08:31:19 PM

3213  Other / MultiBit / Re: Blockchain json wallet backup, can't import in Multibit, error on: July 05, 2014, 08:11:26 PM
Okay so today Blockchain.info was down and I desperately wanted to send a transaction. I have the json file wallet backup and tried to import it in Multibit but they dropped support for this it seems.  I tried an old version where I could import but it got me errors.

is there any Client which supports these wallet backups?

Thanks

1st question - when blockchain.info was down today?

And the answer to your question is here :

"(...)You can also import blockchain.info wallet backup files by changing the file type in the 'File format' drop down combobox.(...)"

Seems like till Monday it will stay @ ~$630 ..

I have never see such a flat day.  I bet the $ has fluctuated more

Very flat indeed ... it happens from time to time during this year ... but today's very flat indeed ...

I predict Sunday will be similar.

I bought some more yesterday, because they are really cheap.

You have done right thing Smiley there is always possibility that price will do down a bit more, but in my and not only my opinion there are more chances for profit than to lose.

Good job. I wish to buy some but I am broke at the moment Sad
I hope when I will have some cash price will be lower than 1000 Smiley
