3201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 13, 2022, 09:38:31 AM
How ready would a hodler be? I'll say, always safe and always prepared. The best that could be done is to buy more before the bullrun fully surface. Your coin haven't been saved as usdt before hand, you might as well bring new funds into the market to make the most of it.

It's not an entirely hunch, at least you did your analysis to build a resistance point around those candles but, I think the bear market isn't done with us just yet. I mean, its way too early but it matters not to a hodler. Which ever way it turns, I keep buying more if I've I've the spare cash and don't think twice on hodling for a long time.

Whenever I see this type of comment from newbies, asking for someone to contact them via telegram, I smile because I know something is about to go down. It doesn't really matter whatever sob story they come up with...

Somebody is about to scam others or get scammed.
Everything went quite well for him or her until that last line. Paving a way for scammers and fraudsters to go off prying eyse that would have been looking and scrutinising. I see it and I ask myself this,

What is wrong with the means the user has just begone? I don't think you can make a lot of money as a trader because you have a lot of money.
This is nothing short of the truth. You don't make a lot of money in trading because you have a lot of funds to trade with though, it has its advantages in terms of a multiple on what could be gained. Upon that, traders ought to understand that, it always goes both ways and as much as you can gain, you could also loose significantly.

I lost a lot of money as a trader for a year, so I gained a lot of experience in trading.

But now I have no choice but to stop trading

Of course, I don't know if it will be possible in the future.

I failed,
Losing money to gain  experience, it doesn't mean there is something lost. Its like a trade, money for some knowledge. Where it becomes a Lose is, you not making use of the knowledge you've got for some purpose . Maybe to earn with it or impact on others.

It's still okay to know ones limit and when to call it off. Anyway, kudos to you too and you did good trying.
3204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 13, 2022, 08:55:04 AM
I think Manchester City after the draw of Chelsea and Liverpool is quite away now and it would take a miracle to happen for them to lose the Premier League.
Apparently, funny enough, they had to crawl all the way up unnoticed and now, they are not just stayed at the top @Manchester City and with some significant point difference between Manchester City and Liverpool who could have been viewed for a rival. With just a hand full of games left, I doubt anyone still hopes for any surprises in the league over the league trophy. Manchester City isn't the kind of team that plays around very much.

In the EFL yesterday, it was a Spurs 0-1 Chelsea  that pushed Chelsea unto the finals, today is going to be Liverpool vs Arsenal. I don't see Arsenal having much of a chance in this game. Its going to be a Chelsea vs Liverpool.
3205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting vs Fiat betting on: January 12, 2022, 10:24:15 PM
They both are almost the same thing. They follow same betting principles which deals about winning or loosing and probabilities. It only comes with certain differences in the sense of convenience. Which is most convenience to you as a gambler. From understanding cryptos and how to actually fund your bet account to making withdrawals on wins. Now, fiat betting could be a little easier for some users because, its everything traditional and may not necessarily require much of a know how. Cryptos, you might need to calculate the fiat equivalent of what your staking but, fiat's doesn't need non  of that. Again, your funds or winnings in a crypto bet appreciate with the price change in the market but fiat has got non of that. In the end, its really up to a gambler on which to prefer.
3206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 12, 2022, 10:03:12 PM
West Ham increased their dominance in the second half and secured themselves by scoring their second goal. And they won the game by 2-0 comfortably. Norwich are still not able to be a big competition for the teams and they are much likely to relegate from the Premier League if they go on like this. And in the second half of the Tottenham - Chelsea game, I didn't see a much eager Tottenham as they even had less shots compared to the first half. And it wasn't too hard for Chelsea to win as a result.
West Ham has rely upped there game and with each game, they keep getting better and better, holding there spot in the EPL. Norwich City today didn't prove to be a match at all, they were just bad all round and West Ham didn't fail to make the game there own. For Norwich City,  I won't say if there aren't careful could get relegated because they are already at the bottom of the table and with a one ticket off the EPL.

On the other hand, I fell Chelsea should have scored a few more goals against Spurs but, they chose to defend there single early minute A. Ruediger goal from first half. Up to the next one, its a final and I see Chelsea lifting the trophy.
3207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 12, 2022, 09:28:19 PM
What a match it is! I didn't expect Barcelona to resist Real Madrid this much.  Actually, Real Madrid got ahead two times but Barcelona still equalized the score and we are in the extra time now. And Valverde carried his team ahead once more in the 98th minute. Barcelona are trying their best in the second half of the extra time now as they are 2-3 behind. But I think that Barcelona won't score the equalizer once again. Real Madrid will reach the final.
Well, Barcelona have been nothing shot of amazing with the level of play in this game, I didn't expect anything less as it is Super Cup but, judging from there bad play and stands in the Laliga, this is a good play. Though, the game is lost already as they are lagging by a goal and with very few minutes on the timer. I would say, they did there best but, Real Madrid now is there better and very much deserve this win.

Edited: the final whistle is gone after extra time and it's a
Barcelona 2-3 Real Madrid.
Nice game for both sides, very entertaining with the goals and replies.
3208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 12, 2022, 09:16:01 PM
Spurs already did put themselves in a very difficult situation from the results of there previous fixture with Chelsea, after loosing 2 goals to nothing in a game they scored both goals by own goals from the defense. Today's game from the first half result, it has come to be a very bitter experience dir them because, Chelsea isn't giving them any chances to make runs. Most of their passes are been intercepted although, a few loosed balls have proven  to be dangerous. Chelsea is on a serious look with that, especially A. Ruediger that isn't letting any one close to the 18 yard box whole standing. It's second half already on the goal and it's Spurs 0-1 Chelsea.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 12, 2022, 03:36:41 PM
Tottenham v Chelsea's 2nd leg will be held today in the semi final of EFL Cup. Chelsea won the home match 2-0. Tottenham's performance was very poor. My expectation in today's match was that Tottenham will play well today. However, one of the most important players in the team is Son, is injured. So I don't think Tottenham will be able to win today's match. Because the Tottenham team is badly dependent on Kane and Son to score. So that I think, Chelsea will dominate and win today's match as well.
I expect nothing less from a Chelsea win in today's fixture between Tottenham vs Chelsea. Its sure to be a difficult game, looking a the fact that, Conte is Chelsea's formal coach, his experienced with the teams pattern of play and knows some of these players haven't managed them. For this reason, Thomas Tuchel would be putting everything out to ensure Tottenham doesn't make the 3 points in this encounter. Too bad Spurs would be missing Son in this one, it kind of limits their chances but, I'll be expect nothing short of a beautiful performance from both sides.
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling addiction?! on: January 12, 2022, 01:32:21 PM
Just yesterday over a transistor radio, I was listening to a comment section against the AFCON kick off between Egypt vs Nigeria hours before the game and it was a section that centered on an extremely risky bet from a serious addicted gambler. This gambler has just put out the only property of real value to both himself and the family on a bet that, Nigeria was to win.

It became an real issue to be talked about because, the wife didn't go easy with it. The wife actually reported the case. At first, she thought he was joking to have said, he was putting it out for a stake, after carry documents to summit to an escrow and she followed up then saw how serious it was. When she quarreled him on it, he simply recounted that, 'its through gambling he owns most of the properties he has today and even married her'. Should he loose,t the family would relocate to a smaller rented apartment and should he win, they would own two houses!

Now, thats some serious addictive gambler right there and his reasons counts for some gambling addictive behaviour. How could someone take such risk! What happened to the principle, 'stake or invest what you could afford to loose'. He took shelter on the means to what his wins or what he has gotten out of gambling and not taking notes of what he has lost. Big and little wins comes with promises that addictive only addictive gamblers see, they fail to recognise the caution their loses put out to them.
3211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup of Nation Discussion Thread || Current discussion: Group Stage. on: January 12, 2022, 09:50:08 AM
I think the problem with Egypt is; they aren't as solid as the other teams, yeah they've Mo Salah, but they aren't even using him in his best position. Seems to be played predominately as a center forward, which don't get me wrong he's suited to it, but playing on the right instead of the center suits him better, because he loves to cut in.
This was just a tactics gone wrong. I'm sure the coach had te thought of him playing fron the center would enable him to coordinate other players and to drive a sense of focus from the wings and defenders to feed him @M. Salah with enough balls to cause some real damage but that was far from it wit the Nigerian team. They ensure the balls weren't coming neither was he given enough chance to express himself on the pitch. Its a good one for the Nigerian team and thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho for that early goal that sealed the game up. This was a much anticipated win.
3212  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: African Proverbs in Pidgin on: January 11, 2022, 12:41:23 PM
Proverb for pidgin: Your face no show and shoe no shine for the ama
Meaning: you are not being recognized in the street.
MaryKeller, I sama Oyo-yoo for you as you take enter this corner o. I no sure say I don dey see you before but, anyhow e be, Oyo-yoo to you as you carry enter. E get small something way I go still clear you and some of us way still turn up for the corner. That na to say, slangs no be the same thing as proverb. FA Cup thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5368690.0

I used to watch FA cups but I find it just a distraction these days. Top Premier League teams do not even see it as a priority since they only send their second tier teams to compete most of the time. It's also not surprising when they lose to Championship teams because of that.
This is what the case has often been before hand, now, times have changed. Just like the Bundesliga where we've got a Bayern Munich dominance of the league, the EPL has turned out to be confined to very few teams in the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.  No other team counts so much and you can be almost certain that, these 3 would always be in the top 3 spots while the other teams struggle on whatever spot is left.

Looking at this fact, the rest teams have redirected there energy and force towards the FA and Carabao Cup for there chance of going home with a trophy. Even Europa now has become difficult, not to mention the UCL. So, its not really a game for second eleven anymore, just a slight change but, you could be sure the big dogs would be out once the time is running out.
3214  Other / Off-topic / Re: KYC is the biggest scam on internet on: January 10, 2022, 10:12:25 PM
~snipe~
KYC simply means 'Know Your Customer' and I'm sure we all know who a customer is to a merchant, service or network provider. That being that, these persons for verification sake and to have some means of tackling or dealing with fraud on there platforms haveade this step mandatory at some levels and attach with it certain benefits.

NIN which means, "National Identity Number " is a complete different story and to a large extent in Nigeria, its an important document for every adult looking at the validity and the function  attached to it. Even with these many functions attached to it, it doesn't really mean it's a one way free pass on getting some things done. Biometric Identification is still required in some functions, physical facial confirmation as it displays on the time of registration and more. So, its not really a one way pass and as such, no need to be too scared.

This though, doesn't exempt the dangers of your details in the wrong hands. The Nigerian government haven't put much in technologies as the level of dependency on foreign expatriates is too high. I hope this event could direct there concerns and fix up the ICT of the nation.
3215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make your plans and follow it, the year has started running already on: January 10, 2022, 09:52:24 PM
Apparently, I created just a similar thread New Year Plans and Resolution (HNY-2022) in the politics and society board to commence and mark the new year. In the.es like this, most persons fails to understand how time flies. The year always comes with the impression that, you've got a whole lot, a whole 365 days ahead of you and so there is always time to meet up on your goals, to plan the rest of the months, etc. Well guess what, its no longer 365 days, its 355 days now and in few hours, it would be 354 days left to work out on your aims/objectives or goals.

For sure it's never too late to start on your goals but, how easy you start and good too, determines how much you could archive. It's the way it is and so, you e got to be up and going already. Not just about making the plans but, already reaping off it. Time waits for no man so, make the most of it while you have it.
3216  Other / Meta / Re: Ban request for user: franky1 on: January 09, 2022, 07:42:59 PM
How can you just move an individual post? Can't you only move threads?
You can't move posts from one thread to another. The whole thread has to be moved. At least I have never seen something like that in the past. If that was possible, posts that are off-topic in one sub could easily be moved to a different thread in a sub where they are more appropriate. But that isn't happening. However, maybe admins could create a new thread for an off-topic post in its appropriate sub. I doubt they would be interested in doing that as it's time-consuming.
I think moving a post is possible but, we just won't consider it as moving, just the way we do with threads. Like, mods won't want to go through  this because, it would be time consuming looking at the fact that, you not only have to search out an appropriate board but, the thread on which to paste the comment post. Though, this might come handy for the poster if he or she could realise, he or she has made an off-topic post.
Should the user see the post to contain some valuable information, with the fact that, not so many topics are lacking in the forum, the user could edit, cut and delete old post, while pasting it in a thread of value that discusses said topic. The issue here could be that, the reply wasn't inspired by that thread but that could be moving a post in a way.

Chances that Manchester city would be loosing a ton of games is pretty much zero and just as you said, it's also going to be a lot more difficult for other teams too to gain in points on all there games to give them a chance of meeting up with Manchester City. Looking at the covid thing, it pretty hoes both ways. As much as Manchester City could be hit, Chelsea and Liverpool could too but, I really hope not, so we could see a beautify game in the Manchester City vs Chelsea fixtures. Won't want a sentiment based result.
3218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 09, 2022, 07:17:17 PM
Don't bet more than you can afford to loose. That's just a rephrase of the principle, don't invest more than you can afford to loose. It's just the same exact thing and to be sincere, very few if any follow through with this principle at all. Gamblers and investors are always stuck on the percentage they hope to gain or how much far they could double their funds as per staking power that they fully forget the risk of loosing.
The reality is, you could always loose. That's why the other team or person has got an odd. That's the risk factor right there looking g at you and in some circumstances, it does come true and get expressed.

When it comes to how much a $2000 monthly earner can gamble, I'll say 5-10%. Anything off that could be considered out of line for me!
3219  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: January 06, 2022, 08:50:19 PM
Baba you dey very correct native language like Yoruba and other Nigeria language go give us strong ground to fit get our own board, I dey always wish say I understand language like Turkish but I must value my own native language.
This thing where dey guys dey try to talk for Yoruba dey very correct despite the fact say me no too understand Yoruba but I pick some words.
E for sweet me say, this thing way you write now, na for Yoruba you write am. The whole matter just be like say, e wan stir up something abi, the info na for only the Yorubas way dey forum. Person fit say, na this one be for all naija because, na watin we all understand than the other one, I no even fit read, talk more of to u destiny the something.

Nobody dey argue say, language no go give us edge or strong base but, e still gets be language way everybody way call enself Nigerian go understand. Them Chinese, French, Portuguese, Germans etc, I sure say, them get one language way unify them and that no mean say, them no still get some kind mother tongue from there rural locality. Even like this cef, me never really code my pighin but, if na to code am, e fit still turn up unique.

E just be like say we dey drag the matter wey no worth dragging for, I hope you people fit understand the reason I post this. No need for a king to dey fight saying he wan be king na  Grin.
No reason am tight man, we still dey together for the struggle. All follow to make the place active and I just dey try talk the one way I feel say e go sure for all of us. Before we go turn naija local board now to tribal board!
3220  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: January 06, 2022, 05:40:30 PM
Translation no sure abeg are person no scatter this place for us. One naija!

If we get that person reach 5 for this place we for dun get strong case instead of the English wey they flow here. If you dey use chrome to understand wetin e dey write e no hard na Yoruba. I prefer other languages than English because na strong case for us be dat. To dey read things for English just tire me here. Make I say dem plenty wey dey use their mother tongue not minding the language then we reply with pidgin we for dun get wetin we go use argue no be to tell dem we want board wen wetin dey here na English no make sense at all.
I still maintain say, e no sure. Imagine say, I begin dey drop my mother tongue for here now, how many person wan understand. The worst be say, many of our Nigerian languages then no get reference or source for the Google cef, way be say, person for wan translate. When you speak language way your people cef no follow, I wonder if the person cef fit stand talk say, e don communicate because, na the whole essence of the forum and pasting whatever. Na for communication and when person pass information without anybody or make I say, majority understanding nothing, the person don successfully spam the board. E go sure say, we write our pighin well, core pighin than this one way person go carry mother tongue drop for here.

I fit remember say, one major criteria way dey necessitate local board na when, threads way relate one particular nation don too many for a particular board. Upgrade00, Charles and Mpamaegbu don reason this matter before way I capture.  Like for other languages now, we don get our naija corner, con still get our naija proverb thread too and others fit still come up. If we get Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo or even Fulani thread with something way point out to forum say  na naija something, e no for bad. The bad thing be say, even the indigenous tribe way dey forum as e be now, them no go even reason to make am active. So, how them wan carry reason us...? Even if na to translate some matter way sup for the main board come for that side, e for sure because, e go active at least. Than for for to dey speak watin the next man no go understand, that one cast.
