3202  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: August 19, 2015, 04:49:26 PM
Hello? When is 11-18th term going to get paid?
3203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SABR monitors multiple blockchains to identify and locate criminal activity on: August 16, 2015, 11:11:21 PM
The thing is, probably anyone with a lot of money could bribe the exchanges to release personal information on accounts and transactions to try to link up things to people, you can never trust no one. Who knows if this is happening already.
3204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Consequences of the ongoing core vs. XT battle. on: August 16, 2015, 11:09:27 PM
Don't think it was good idea to release XT that way, but the final decision is up to miners.

What way? the only way to do this was to release it into the wild and let things develop naturally, let people vote. It wasn't possible any other way. It would always have created disruption.
3205  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is it possible to estimate the kwh / hash ratio? on: August 14, 2015, 04:46:03 PM
Here is a very useful website for this:

www.coinwarz.com

It seems it takes data in real time in terms of difficulty and you can calculate your gains depending on electricity bill, hashing power of your gear etc. Im not completely sure if this is what you are asking for but just in case i drop that link.
3206  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How would you prove that you own >= X BTC without disclosing addresses ? (ZKP) on: August 14, 2015, 04:42:41 PM

Currently, you can prove ownership of coins by signing with
the private key of an address where coins are stored.

Is there a ZKP (Zero Knowledge Proof) way of demonstrating
that you own at least X BTC ?

That'd be a killer feature for credit-worthiness type applications
of bitcoin.

I don't think this is possible at all. To prove it you would always need to show something that ultimately links whatever that is to you address. And if you present something that cannot be linked to the address it's pointless. I don't know, I think it doesn't make much sense.
3207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Advertisement places on: August 14, 2015, 04:39:28 PM
Signature campaign may be a bit expensive as a newbie to pay for people (not sure) but it's definitely worth it. I discovered Primedice and Bit-x thanks to people promoting it on their posts and years later im still using Primedice and still using Bit-x daily.
3208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe BITCOIN in ONE word. on: August 14, 2015, 04:27:03 PM
I have been checking the thread out to see that no one has said a word that I wanted to say but I think everyone has already said everything so I don't want to repeat myself.

Edit: Actually I just checked again and I think the word I wanted to say wasn't said already so my word is: disruptive
3209  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: August 14, 2015, 04:05:46 PM

they do:

lol how much did you pay her for that? did she accept BTC? because im sure you paid in form of Paypal or in form of Amazon giftcard, i doubt she knows how to use a Bitcoin wallet or even what Bitcoin is. What would she need to tho, she is probably already rich from doing that fml.
3210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Windows 10 and Bitcoin Discussion on: August 14, 2015, 03:50:54 PM
i will try to avoid that shit as long as i can  Lips sealed#

Ubuntu is my friend.
I was considering Ubuntu myself but apparently Ubuntu isn't fully safe, it had some advertisement in-built on there that could be considered if not spyware then maybe adware or something the lines. What about other distros? can anyone recommend a distro that is easy to use?
3211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ItBit Reveals Bankchain Project Won't Use Bitcoin on: August 14, 2015, 03:40:55 PM
Any benefits to the end-user? Transparency is screwed up if end-users can't connect, even in a read-only manner.

There are no benefits to the end user. It's still closed source crap where you cannot see if the fees they ask you to pay for make sense or not. All the extras of decentralization aren't there. These fucking scammers are back at it. Did you really think banks would use Bitcoin? wake up people, this is a war and to be on the good side you need to be on the Bitcoin side.
3212  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: August 14, 2015, 03:37:34 PM
I'm surprised by the number of senior and hero members that claim to have less than 1 bitcoin.  How can this be when there are so many different ways to get coins for 'free'?  I'm looking at the signature campaigns...
maybe they just don't have at their wallet but instead have put their earned bitcoins into an investment to make a long term profit instead

Well, in that case they are under big risk to lose the bitcoins. If you don't have your Bitcoins on your wallet, then you don't own them, period. If your private keys aren't stored in your local wallet, those Bitcoin aren't yours. Also signatures don't pay that much to make it a simple ride to get 1 BTC, it's still a challenge.
3213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: XTnodes.com added a new chart: The number of mined Bitcoin XT blocks on: August 14, 2015, 03:25:54 PM
Good luck with it it but the XT nodes vs total nodes graph show a really marginal amount of nodes vs the core ones. I think it will be near impossible to reach the consensus needed to get away with a hard fork. It seems most people are too lazy to even care about the blocksize debate and they will keep running Core out of habit.
3214  Economy / Economics / Re: This is how 0.037 Bitcoins looks like in Venezuela on: August 12, 2015, 05:11:39 PM
Hoe much costs a house in venezuela? How much dollat will a hooker cost? Lol, i am curious about that, t
That people are so cheap in such countries Smiley

If you are thinking about going there to feel the king of the hill I don't think it's a good idea. The place is probably very insecure and the life quality is probably shit unless you live on the richest parts and even then I think Venezuela has the highest crime rate on earth.
3215  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin really save Greece? on: August 12, 2015, 05:09:39 PM
Even if Greece does not decide to go full Bitcoin the fact that it is being considered validates crypto currencies and their potential
I don't think it's being considered by any political party, all i've heard is some news headlines entertaining the idea and some diehad bitcoiners, not much more. Unfortunately we are way too ahead in the game for that.
3216  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 12, 2015, 05:08:12 PM
Are you inspired by those bitcoin millionaires? Are you thinking of filing a resignation letter on your day job (if you have any) and focus on bitcoin instead?

Me? I do have a day job and I consider bitcoin as my side job. I don't want to lose that another source of income just because bitcoin is awesome.

I would love, but to do so I would need a monthly income that allows you to pay all my expenses.
sharing bitcoin all over the world would be a very interesting work

I say its very rare for someone to go full time, because like you mentioned "expenses" can add up and the value of btc is far too low still to cover it.

The person would have to produce or have more btc to make up for the low value, overall.
But in getting 100% with btc, a person have no limits on earning.
and also in case of some signature campaigns there is no limit on earning bitcoin and we have to decide that how much we want to earn weekly/biweekly/monthly
Leaving your job to spend full time on signature campaigns is nonsense. You will never make enough money for it to be worth it and it's a dead end, once you reach Hero or sometimes Sr Member because most of the campaign runners are paying the same for Sr than for Hero and Legendary, you can't really make any more money. If you post something ridiculous like 100 post a day or something is just not worth the time, any regular job pays better. If one could outsource this somehow and make passive income and keep growing it would be worth it, but it depends on you being basically all day churning out posts which is impossible long term.
I think he is referring to creating much accounts and then doing signature campaign from all those.
But in my opinion it will be very very easy in first but as time passes by you will regret your decision of quitting your day job.

Even if he did that, it's way too much work, at current rates you would need about 2500 post a month to resemble anything that compares to a minimum wage in the european countries (and im talking about the south european countries, forget about making as much as germans etc).
The time spent would be insane. Literally from morning to night with no breaks from weekends. I don't think that's viable long term. Also again, you would need to tax your money, because how are you going to pay your bills then?
And if you want to buy a house or a car, you can't unless the money is taxed. You can only buy other less expensive stuff and hope you never get audited.
3217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Mark Karpeles in jail now? on: August 12, 2015, 05:03:03 PM
I think investigations are still ongoing and he isn't fully on jail now. Apparently he will be on jail for at least 7 years, which is nothing compared to what would he have gotten in US. He will leave in 7 years and by then the Bitcoins he has stored (which im sure he has undetected BTC stored somewhere) will be worth millions.
3218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the downsides to 8MB blocks? on: August 12, 2015, 04:54:41 PM
afaik some bandwidth problem for miners(chinese) and probably the fact that 8MB is not a final solution, because you need to fork again in the future, that will arise all the same problems, that we are facing right now, for this size increase
There will never be a magic final solution. The technology will need to be changed to scale it up over time. The 8mb increase every 2 year scheme by Gavin seems like the most reasonable approach.
3219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin could bring about world peace? on: August 12, 2015, 04:53:20 PM
No bitcoin will not bring peace to the world. Money is one of the reason why many wars and battles start. Bitcoin is make to take place money. So it is like money.

but the difference is that bitcoin is a global currency so in theory it should unify the world and destroy the differences, also it can work as a good way for poor countries, if they adopt it as their main currency, because they can take advantage of its high price thanks to other country and be healthy again, i think it could bring a transitory peace if this happen
No one cant guarantee us if bitcoin change fiat, it can make this world be healthier. If bitcoin is adopted as main currency, the scamming, war, robbing, corruption, bribing, etc still happen, because bitcoin is a currency. People will do anything to get it, no matter what the effect he will give is for his surroundings.

True, but at least illegally founded wars will be more difficult if the goverment is forced to show their public money movements over the blockchain, but because of this I doubt they will want to accept BTC as the official currency, because it would show their scams too much.
3220  Other / MultiBit / Re: How to create a new wallet via Multibit and then deleting the old wallet on: August 12, 2015, 04:52:07 PM
I have one wallet I don't to have it anymore.
Do i need to create a new wallet first, transfer the money from my old to new wallet and then delete it ?

Give good explanation. I have gotten some BTC from an illegal trade (regarding arms trade) and want to delete the traces. Please be fast.
Yes, transfers your funds from wallet A to wallet B and then delete wallet A (i wouldn't delete it tho, just in case). Never export import wallets, not safe.
