3201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 07, 2021, 07:57:50 AM

But when this match is exactly going to happen? I cannot still find any information of the date when this match has agreed to happen.
They did not mention the date yet, maybe they are still working on it.
I did some search now and I could not find any information about the date and the venue, but only found this one (https://www.ringtv.com/627430-reymart-gaballo-says-hes-ready-to-face-idol-nonito-donaire-in-mandatory-fight/) which is interesting.

In that article, Gaballo said he is ready to face his idol in boxing, that's 100% respect but I hope he will show his skills in the fight and give his best to remain undefeated although people believe that he will just loss easily.

3202  Economy / Economics / Re: China Is making Fuds Since 2017, But BTC Always Gone higher on: October 07, 2021, 07:07:56 AM
no matter how strong the FUD from china will not be able to destroy the crypto market, the crypto market will rise again and again. few days ago FUD from china almost made the bitcoin price touch $40k, but the market recovered quickly and even after that the bitcoin price was able to break through the $50k. so when the bitcoin price goes down due to FUD all you have to do is buy so you also get a cheaper price and get a bigger return.
China always makes controversial statements about cryptocurrencies, and we believe their power can move the bitcoin market in particular, but we also have to pay attention that it doesn't last long, until the market finally recovers. indeed the best thing is to buy while there is a chance
As we can see, the FUD was just short live, the market now has recovered and starts to be bullish again. Bitcoin is trading at $54 at the moment, but when the FUD happened, bitcoin dump as low as $40k, so with the current price now, you can tell how fast bitcoin has bounced back and I have a feeling that the uptrend will continue until the end of the year.
3203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 06, 2021, 09:56:09 PM

If Porter will be smart and fully prepared on this fight, he will give a very good toe-to-toe fight with Crawford, who is the heavy favorite on this match.
He always give a toe to toe fight to his opponent, I did not see a fight that Porter is not the aggressor, he is always in attack mode and if his opponent gets tired, that's the time he will take advantage to it.

So Crawford should really be prepared as well as not to lose that 0 record. For sure, Porter would not come inside the ring without a plan and just let Crawford dominate the fight. He is the challenger so let us see if he will be the aggressive one on this bout.
Porter has fought champions although he loses in the fight but he was never KO.

Against Errol Spence Jr, it was a split decision and against Thurman, it's a UD. So KO will not happen here as both Thurman and Spence are great boxers but they were not able to KO Porter. Terrence will use his quickness, his advanced boxing skills, but will be careful as he might get hurt and will experience his first loss.
3204  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 06, 2021, 09:20:51 PM
Was there any news to make the price shoot up? I saw a few nice pieces of bitcoin news when I saw the price had pumped a few thousand dollars, but nothing that would make me think people would suddenly start piling money in. Maybe just resistance break or sentiment change after bouncing off low $40,000s once again?

I posted this in the other thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5363454.msg58072021#msg58072021

Maybe investors saw this as a positive news, SEC delaying their approval, so still 50/50 if an ETF can be approved next month or not. A indication that SEC is really looking at it like in a microscope that's why they need additional 45 days, to make a decision. Imagine what kind of FOMO we are right now, and what if US SEC approved it? would be crazy price increase up to the end of the year and maybe see the price into the 6 digits. So everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.
This is a classic case of “buy the rumor, sell the news” if investors wait until this becomes official then the price would have increased too much when they finally get to invest in the market, so what they are doing is they are buying the rumor expecting that there is an approval and then they can take advantage of the positions they took early, and if this does not happen they can sell for a small win as the market is forming a small rally right now.
As always, it's been the nature of the market, the pump is already happening, we might continue to pump it longer but of course, we never know what would happen next as it could be a bull trap only. I'm not bullish or bearish, but it's nice if we understand how the market work so we always make a matured decision, not a newbie decision where we eaisly follow the hype and dump when the panic starts.
3205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 04, 2021, 09:10:56 PM
With Crawfords style I can see him ending this one either by ko or tko.  Haven't seen the odds but if Crawford stoppage gets good odds I might lay on it.

Be a decent match up but I can't see Crawford losing this one.
The odds now in my bookie is 1.17 for moneyline, so for stoppage, I don't think it will be over 2.00, probably 1.70 to 1.90, and I think it's still a decent odds if you think Crawford will not loss in this fight, at least you only have to think if he could KO Porter which is really strong though boxing skills is in below level compared to Crawford.

Is it ppv?
Yes, Terence Crawford vs. Shawn Porter agreed for ESPN+ PPV main event
3206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Dogecoin Is Crypto's Most Dangerous Joke on: October 04, 2021, 08:00:10 PM
That happened due to Elon's attention.

And look where he is right now, he's quiet about it and probably sold at the top and that's why those who have bought at the top maybe are taking the regrets of being hyped.
They probably feel how hyped has been ruining their life and made them lose. Not to wonder that Elon Musk makes benefits from this as he is the one who controls its prices and these people who come and follow him got caught in the trap.
I'd never heard Elon being active in crypto space after playing the market. He is gone taking the money of innocent people who come and praise him without knowing his real intention. Even though this project has been in the market for many years, it is never been in my mind to invest in this nor I have the interest.
They have learned it the hard way.

They have to dealt those losses for them to learn that it's not always what they think when someone popular has shilled a coin like Dogecoin.

It will always be a dangerous ground for all those who have believed in the hype and look at it now where the price of dogecoin is going. Its price is never as valuable as before and with the absence of Elon, everything will most likely to come to an end. And right now, i know those people who have been lured by the hype are already in regrets seeing themselves lossing  while selling at a lower price. I hope this will serve as a lesson to those investors who are eager to make huge profits even if it means investing in those coins that have less potentials compared to those solid and well established coins.
3207  Economy / Economics / Re: Future economic fear of the rich and poor. on: October 04, 2021, 07:31:52 PM
Poor is the one that has future economic fear than the rich in the country. During the covid-19 virus, I came to discovered that most of the rich men didn't worry much about the dump of the economy. The poor where seriously worried about the things the covid-19 virus has caused for their environment and their future during the pandemic that reduced the world economy to zero level few years ago.
Rich people have more to invest in bitcoin because they believe so much in risk taking and what will involve in the future than poor who don't have more to invest in bitcoin and they are so afraid with the little one they invested in the future. The poor don't have different sources of income like rich men who have different sources of income in cryptocurrencies.
I think both of them have their own fears when it comes to the future economic crisis. But it will be more fearful on the part of the poor people seeing there is always a high inflation that continuously growing which makes more increase on the prices of basic commodities. I know it will get even worser in the future. I think looking at this scenario, poor people will have to make bigger adjustments and find more means for survival. The rich people have also fears of loosing their investments but they still have all the chances to acquire them again knowing they have the money and resources that will always give them an edge from the poor ones.
3208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: October 04, 2021, 07:08:56 PM
Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin?

I don't think speculation and volatility are a problem at all to bitcoin. Both aforementioned factors are what makes bitcoin what and where it is today. In my opinion, speculation and volatility are actually beneficial to bitcoin's price value making it profitable to the users who are investing, trading, and holding it.
Speculation is what triggers the volatility and volatility is the one that is in charge of the trend of bitcoin on the market. I think both play a great role in maintaining bitcoin's value and popularity to the masses. With speculation, people will start to wonder if it's a worthy investment and with volatility, they will be encouraged and enticed to risk into it based on what they have researched.
If we look at a non-crypto perspective, speculation and volatility are terms that may bring negativity. But in the eye of a bitcoiner, speculation and volatility may mean profits. They are the reason why bitcoin value reach any heights and fall into its deepest dip. And without them, the crypto market will not be as exciting as today because these two meaningful words has kept bitcoin and the whole crypto market alive and more interesting especially for newbies. Volatility is what giving us more opportunities to gain good profits particularly if we started it from long term holding until we witness its new all time high.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 04, 2021, 12:52:26 PM
Nunn's excessive dribbling at times could become a serious problem during the regular season. He's got the skills but he needs to work more on his floor management. Meanwhile, it's nice to see Aldridge still got that mid-range jumper. He won't be able to play a lot but that J could be very helpful every time he's called.

I also noticed that even back in his Miami days, but it's not gonna be a big problem for the Lakers because he'll most probably be in the 2nd squad, and the Lakers 2nd squad could better use of Nunn's style of play.
I'm kinda excited on what could the Lakers do this season, as well as the healthy Nets. I'm also looking forward for the Nets revenge against the Bucks in the coming playoffs.

They will certainly make revenge, they lose because they are undermanned but they'll try to be healthy and face the Bucks in the ECF if Bucks are lucky to qualify again. As revenge, I think the Nets could sweep the Bucks as they almost did that to them if Irving was not injured.

I hope to see that, but the Nets have to stay healthy, especially Irving because despite he is a problem sometimes, we cannot deny that he contributes big time to the success of the team. Harden will always be a contributor also, but he can't contribute well if he is not healthy, just like what we saw in the ECF when the Nets bet them and Harden was not able to contribute his usual numbers.

That's hard to guarantee, maybe Harden and Durant will stay healthy, but I'm not sure with Irving as he is so fragile, I watch him many times in the playoffs and he can easily be injured. I saw him injured in Cavaliers, in Celtics, and in the Nets, so it's really hard to tell. Well, let's just hope but based on his injury history, let's just be ready of what could possibly happen, I'm sure the Nets also knows that.

3211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 04, 2021, 10:19:19 AM
If Fury does the same thing as the last time but still anticipates any changes in Wilder's fighting style, I am pretty sure that we're going to see this trilogy close with Fury as the winner.
Wilder did blame his costume, so I guess he will not change his style in boxing but will only wear a light costume so he will not be exhausted once in the ring. We saw the talent of Fury, if Wilder can't hit him, he would only loss his energy in the end and might likely suffer a defeat again as Fury has the power to KO him.
3212  Economy / Speculation / Re: No BTC Holding is risky on: October 03, 2021, 09:55:26 PM
BTC Holding, in my opinion, is the winner. You must be able to keep it up-to-date without having to continually monitor the market to make judgments. Bitcoin should be something you hang on to for a time to ease tension and worry caused by significant price volatility. When it comes to investing, consistency is crucial. Assets retained for more than 5  years will have a significant influence on performance.

When you say holding, better HDOL it. It's very popular to us that "HOLD ON DEAR LIFE" already made lots of investors become rich. What we are witnessing now is another market crash, if we don't have the trust to HDOL, we will be one of the investors who will do panic selling and later regret.

Short-term traders may panic now, but if we are real long-term holders, what is happening now is nothing new to us.
long-term holders will always experience a lot but it is certain that if they are patient and don't panic, they can certainly enjoy a period where prices will increase. because holding bitcoins is a common thing and will always end with the best, but usually many are impatient or who absolutely do not have the capital to hold for the long term.

because it takes funds that are not used for other purposes only focus on bitcoin, which is now quite high in price and it's not easy to do it.
maybe only the true have been doing this for a long time because they always save for the next stage.

It's the basic requirement of HOLDING your crypto, you need to have patience and you have to understand what you are doing. Holding means you are aiming not only for a higher price but for a bigger price because you believe that the longer you hold your goal will be achieved, however, you also have to understand that you have to set your goal to be realistic first in order for it to be achievable.

For example, if you hold because you believe that 1 BTC will be $100 million each in the future, then I think you are not being realistic.
Holding bitcoin will not just ensure big profits in the near future but it also takes more patience to understand the market deeply. There will always be price fluctuations that will eventually test how long can you stay in the market. And if you end up panicking, then you might lose your hard earned bitcoin. So its not really an easy task to hold bitcoin that is why you only need to invest on your extra money. But one thing is certain, the process may not be easy but the result is all worth the risk. And it will be a lot more risky if as of this moment, you don't still have any hard earned bitcoin to hold.
3213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't miss this opportunity to buy and hold BNB on: October 03, 2021, 09:11:38 PM
Crypto market is unpredictable.  We think one thing is different in reality. All coins up down related to bitcoin. While Bitcoin costs $65k, BNB costs $680. According to your prediction, when BNB is $1500, the price of Bitcoin will be much higher. So why don't we invest in Bitcoin?
For investment, usually some people put it on several coins and that is also included in Bitcoin, because if they only put it in one basket like Bitcoin, they will also cry when Bitcoin is corrected even though others will follow suit.
OP does not literally mean that we should only invest in BNB, of course bitcoin will always be a priority but isn't it more profitable if we diversify our investments into the most potential coins today? And since BNB has high potentials to be worth something more in the future, then we should not miss the current opportunity to buy it when its still not expensive yet. And definitely hold it for long like we always did with bitcoin and ethereum. So that if altcoins season will be here again when we least expect it, then by that time we are already in huge profits with BNB.
3214  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin slumps as China bans all cryptocurrency transactions on: October 03, 2021, 08:30:17 PM
Slump? Lol. It fell by a small percentage and quickly recovered soon after. Currently, it is trading in the $40K - $45K range which has been its average range for sometime now(Way before the ban).
And....the slump has reversed itself, and bitcoin is climbing back toward $50k as I write this.

The China news was pretty big, but I figured it wouldn't affect the price long-term.  Bitcoin has survived and thrived through pretty bad news events in the past, from exchange hacks to EFT rejection to strong governmental regulation changes.  I never expect it to move upward in a straight line, but I've come to expect that bad news doesn't keep it down for long.
This has happened a lot of times where big news come to affect bitcoin negatively but after a couple of days, bitcoin's value starts to recover again as if nothing has happened. It is only a proof that no matter how big or small the impact is, bitcoin might get slump but will always get up and move up again. And with this recent FUD made by China, i have seen that bitcoin has experienced a minor dump but it does not stay long because i know bitcoin won't really stay in dips. It's trend will always come up rising no matter how many times its value falls back. And as of this moment, bitcoin is already $48,726 which means its now close reaching its new ATH.
3215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Quitting Bitcoin Mining Is Very Positive in Long Term on: October 03, 2021, 10:17:13 AM
Very positive because not involving China by any means would not affect the market once there's bad news about China. This is a statement that no country could ban bitcoin because others will take the opportunity to mine, and with that, the miners will still be able to profit and the blockchain will continue to work. With the regulation against crypto, no miners will survive doing their operation in a said country.
3216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake vs Bet365: The Live Streaming Battle on: October 03, 2021, 09:15:19 AM
It would have been nice if you could have increased the size of the "Live Stream" window, because on notebooks with small screens... it is almost not worth it to watch the streaming session.

I find that Stake sometimes lag a bit, but with 10 000+ users being online over a Saturday, when the Weekly are paid out... it would be expected that it would lag a little bit more than usual. (Unfortunately most of the Sports are played over weekends)  Wink

The experience on both sites are good and linking my notebook to a large TV... help to solve this problem.  Grin

That would be better but I think there's a reason why they can't increase the size of the screen to give the viewers a wonderful experience. The live streaming is free, so we can't expect it's like the other paid live stream, I don't know, maybe stake has an answer for this.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 03, 2021, 08:35:23 AM

No, it cannot be postponed again, the fight was first announced last January this year, so we waited many months to finally see this fight. If one of them gets infected with covid-19, I think the council has to penalize them because it's already big negligence of not protecting the money invested in this fight.

One thing is for sure - this fight will not be happening next week. I also don't think there is enough time to do it on the 16th. They only have two weeks remaining and tickets aren't even on sale. We will probably see Matchroom take over as promoter and hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

That will really be horrendous if the fight are going to rescheduled at a later date. The last time I check, those who bought that tickets before the initial date has been refunded. So not sure if the new date has open up the ticket sale or not. Regardless, Triller is to blame for all what's happening in this fight, if someone snatch it from them like Matchroom or Top Rank, then it will be too bad as they have shell out huge money in promotion, and even for the reservations of the venue.

I'm wondering why the betting lines are still not available for this fight?

I just checked on my favorite bookies and I still could not find it considering the fight is going to happen 3 days from now. This fight should be a popular fight as Lopez is defending his belt, so I'm just curious why until now the odds are not yet displayed in the crypto sportsbook.

It's because of the moving schedule, sport crypto bookies doesn't want to displayed it and then people betting on the fight then suddenly it will be move again. Doesn't give a good taste for us bettors, so I guess they have to wait for the final date if ever the fight are going to happen this year or not.

There are too many postponement and rescheduling and it's almost a year now that we don't know if the fight can happen. It's more frustrating to the the fighter as well, after all the trash talking, they still can't punch each others mouth.  Grin

But this is happening on October 5, right? Or I'm just not updated any more that the fight was move again or postpone?

This is not fun anymore if that would really happen, fans are waiting for a year just to see this fight, and now when the date of the scheduled fight is approaching, a postponement is gonna happen again?
3218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 02, 2021, 09:40:56 PM
I'm looking for Donaire to win but also a bit of concern that Gaballo will now have its first loss. In the end, I like Gaballo instead to win because it's his era now. If Gaballo wins, another Filipino boxer will be more popular again. More opportunities will come and might be Gaballo's ticket for a much bigger fight. Donaire already achieved his dream. It's the time now for a young boxer to enter the high stage. Donaire doesn't need to prove something. He is a reputable boxer for Pinoy boxing fans.
If there's someone who will be popular to follow the footstep of Donaire, I don't think it will be Gaballo, yes, he is still young but he doesn't have the skills yet that could be a champion and would beat the best in the Division, especially Inoue.

Pacquiao was beating Mexican champions during his prime, but this time it's Inoue who are beating Filipino boxers, and it needs to stop and I don't think Gaballo would be able to do that.

There are many rising young boxers in the Philippines, Casimero is still young, at least IMO I will consider him young and still in his prime now, so I would just count on one boxer for now and if he continues to impress the fans, then he would likely be the next Manny Pacquiao but would never reach at 8 Division world champion.

There's still one hindrance for Casimero now, he has to beat the beast and he will become the king of the bantamweight division.
Imagine, beating the top 2 in the pound for pound list, I guess the world will be talking about him, and with his trash talking style, it's easy for him to get noticed.
3219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 02, 2021, 09:15:07 PM
The current situation is I would say not legal overall, I mean most of the gambling businesses are mostly controlled by foreign owners although in paper the owners are local, and our government has the law that it's illegal for the locals to gamble since gambling is only for foreign. I understand the intention as they don't want people to get addicted to gambling but the government wants to benefit from the taxes they collected from casinos.

I don't know if it will change but in times of pandemic, maybe it's possible as the government will certainly find a way to increase their revenue and probably they see already the potential of the source which is the gambling industry.
3220  Economy / Economics / Re: China Is making Fuds Since 2017, But BTC Always Gone higher on: October 02, 2021, 06:58:10 PM
It's actually funny that it's even a coincidence at the same time because after some time when China does something that's negatively affecting bitcoin, just waiting for some time is going to result in a big pump.
It's just like when China seems to create more FUDS so that people will stop investing in bitcoin, but it even keeps more people to get interested in bitcoin. And what the Chinese government is doing right now is that they expect that after what they did the crypto market will dump, but it even created more chances to pump. This proves that bitcoin is no longer affected with China anymore and even if how many times they will ban bitcoin and other crypto transactions, bitcoin price will never get back into $20k or below than that.
