3201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: December 27, 2021, 11:26:02 PM
It is always been a question of who is controlling the market or are we manipulated or not in which it was no right/wrong answer as we believe that the market itself making prices fluctuates as its own. In fact, we all want to see the market in bullish but the bear season still comes.
How the manipulation comes when we know that Bitcoin is decentralized?

Everything looks different compared to 10 years ago. FUDs, manipulations, whales participation...got to see that it wasn't fully decentralized as all of these things I've mentioned are really affecting the entire market, not only for Bitcoin.
3202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 27, 2021, 08:56:01 PM
<..>
Inoue vs Donaire is a good match if it will happen I think Donaire must focus on training so that he has a chance to win against the king of their division. Inoue must be careful also cause we all know that Donaire is a counter puncher.
Back to the topic about magsayo and Russell yes This is the big fight of Magsayo's career and they must be trained harder. In this fight I will bet magsayo too.

I remember watching Mark Magsayo's fight against Julio Ceja where the former landed a right hard punch on round 10 which sealed the deal and eventually won the entire fight. According to boxrec, Magsayo has an undefeated record of 23 wins. I do think that Gary Russell is a dangerous opponent given his destructive power, size, and speed on the ring.

There was this article that featured Magsayo, stating that this fight might be his biggest so far. Although I do fear for him, I am at full support towards this fight as I do believe that he will eventually come out as the winner at the end.

In a fight like this where a Filipino is a challenger for the championship, it's good to support and put our bet. I guess we all see how Magsayo adjusted in his previous fight, he did not get frustrated although his opponent is leading the scorecard, instead, he finds ways to make a convincing win and that is by knocking out his opponent. So, anything can happen in this fight, he might replicate that kind of victory although his opponent now is a champion.

Go with our "kabayan" no matter what the odds are. This is an opportunity for a Filipino fighter again to be a champion, and Magsayo has a shot in winning since his conditioning is very much efficient, he is actively fighting and now he is given a golden opportunity that he should not miss and has to win.
3203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Crypto Projects Will Be 100X In 2022? on: December 26, 2021, 01:10:12 PM
If they go 100x most of them will end up taking over bitcoin. That is not going to happen. Not anytime soon. Or maybe never.
What would happen if any coin surpass bitcoin in terms of marketcap? I do think that nothing would happen other than the top position of coinmarketcap. With massive supply any coin or token could do that because marketcap is just a number and it got nothing do to with any of real time valuation of a coin. So, I am not expecting that bitcoin to enjoy the first rank forever.

I am trying to get more of that coin as fast as possible while it is cheap and will keep it until the hype comes and its value grows.
You may able to accumulate as much as possible and more preciously you may able to buy even cheaper than you could assume but there will be no guarantee for the hype to come back again to make you rich. I am not talking about any particular coin but if you target any one of two coin then you may surely will be disappointed sooner or later.
Even though it will happen, nothing helps for the price and makes Bitcoin dump as it is totally impossible. It is truly lucky for us to have coins that surprisingly make x100 next year, even today, as we never know which one. Because if we only that will happen to a particular coin, what we can see is that people rush to it and even to buy all of them. So, this is why everything in crypto is unpredictable, DYOR is the best thing to do than asking OP.
3204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELON MUSK BECOME AN INFLUENCER on: December 24, 2021, 09:56:43 PM
His actions are entirely unpredictable though, so you wouldn't have a systematic way of predicting his thoughts and profiting off of them.

But you're right, him and Jack Dorsey are the biggest CEOs out there that are currently becoming financial influencers, and I wonder if the SEC would tighten their grip on these people.

For now though, the altcoin market volatility pretty much solely depends on what Elon/Jack Dorsey talks about on a daily basis, which is almost absurd.

SEC would not be able to touch them if they will just stay as an influencer, they are just like marketing a certain brand of assets so no responsibility as long as they are not marketing scam projects. However, if they would decide to create their own, that's where the SEC will enter as Elon and Jack have to follow a set of guidelines just like any other business regulated by SEC.

For now, we can listen to them to agree or disagree, it's up to us, besides, we are in the crypto space and we have the freedom to choose what we think would make us profitable.
3205  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 24, 2021, 09:33:08 PM
Still too early to conclude, he needs to be accomplished step by step..

This is his first step actually, so he needs to win here so the other champions will consider Canelo a huge threat. Maybe they are still complacent now because they believe they are stronger than Canelo who is going up in weight, but once Canelo proved that to them, I'm sure things would change.
On the other hand this is a very good thing for Canello to show himself in a new class, when talking about experience, in this class Canello may lose but on the other hand it doesn't apply in the ring because indeed when in the ring what matters is punch and strength . who stands to the end, who is strong he wins.
this is Canello's first step and he has to be serious in his training this time, because this is a new class and he still hasn't fought with boxers in this class before so knowledge about each other's opponents can't be known much apart from watching their previous match

Canelo is always serious with this training that's why he became an undisputed champion in a division where he reign for many years. Now, trying to push himself to the limit, he is going to a heavier weight class and judging by the betting odds, you can tell that the fans are still supporting him and believing that he can still dominate here.

Agree with that, because he won't become an undisputed champion if he is not seriously training in every game. I see him as a good example of a boxer, the discipline is there and he is very ambitious to achieve his goal, I mean he is trying to make history here and since he is still young, I expect him to achieve more success in the long run.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu is a good ifght to witness, but just like a regular fan, I'm going with Canelo who never fails to amazed me.
3206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 24, 2021, 09:11:31 PM

I'm also more inclined to think that we won't see any furious boxing, most likely it will be a show where the winner will be decided by decision of judges and in all likelihood it will be Mike Tyson.
From what i understand, the winner can be decided only if the opponent is knocked out and there is no winner if the fight goes to the decision.
That's what I read as well, so if there's no KO in this fight, then the result would be a draw. Thing is, Logan Paul IIRC, he was not been KO in his boxing career, while Mike Tyson is very popular because he can KO a boxer back in the day, but this time, I'm not sure if he still got it.

So it looks like they could agree in a contract that no KO is going to happen, in that case, I'm not sure if they'll still announce a winner.

Quote
Should Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson be a ‘no knockout’ fight?
Logan Paul would have zero to very less chances of lasting against ‘Iron’ Mike back when he was champion; however, ‘The Maverick’ is young, can move more, and can possibly even land bigger shots now that he is fighting a much older Tyson.

On the other hand, Mike Tyson is highly unpredictable. To date, he has the mindset of a champion, and seeing him return to his old fighting style would not be the most unexpected thing ever.

This begs the question – should there be a clause in Paul’s contract that would bar him from knocking out Mike Tyson and vice versa? Absolutely.
https://www.essentiallysports.com/boxing-news-logan-paul-needs-no-knockout-clause-against-mike-tyson/

From what we can read since this is just an exhibition fight, they can put any clause in a contract, besides Mike is old, he might not be able to absorb power punches from a young boxer.
3207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When bear market? on: December 24, 2021, 06:38:02 PM
I've made huge amount of money in crypto space since 2020 and now I'm more interested in bear market, with the way things are going now it looks like accumulation rate will keep getting rid of bears for a long time, I'm just curious is bear market really coming? If yes what do you think will cause the next bear market?

Sorry if I sound annoying 😅 I just want me some top altcoins at cheaper rate for next halving season
You don't need to get curious about the situation as we are not yet in a bear market yet, in fact, we are still in the bull market. Maybe we could think about the short market correction as per to see. Might consider this as accumulating opportunity if you have the money to invest just like what I did now. From what I see, it never bothered me and to think negatively. We are not that close to the bearish season but instead, pumps will about to start after this holiday season.

We shouldn't have to miss this chance, anyway.
3208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Airdrop or ICO project? on: December 24, 2021, 06:07:43 PM
I want to know how to find airdrop or ICO project...how to check scam or real and how much profit airdrop can make...and if u have experience about airdrop or ico things can u share this exp in here:Smiley
Airdrops? Well, that was not hard to know if they are scams as the majority of them are scams as well. Maybe, ICO projects but not all of them are worthy.

I guess you have to forget about airdrop as it was just a waste of time and effort. If you were looking for projects where you can make a profit, then you must have not going to choose ICO either. I suggest investing in new platforms as they are having a huge chance to pump than these ICOs that are already obsolete and dying.
3209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if I don't know how to trade on: December 24, 2021, 05:43:31 PM
If we are interested in something, it definitely needs to find a way to make it and learn how to do it, this can be applied to trading.
What if I don't know how to trade? Then must-have to know about trading! That is the thing we should have to do in the first place and we keep asking, reading books, searching online, and etc...to further enhance our knowledge and get some ideas.

because if we just do nothing, no way we are able to learn to trade. Maybe, it was also the time to ask ourselves if we are willing to learn even it takes months or years, or if we just give up.

3210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: has bitcoin achieved its goal? on: December 24, 2021, 12:40:25 PM
I think Bitcoin does have some specific goals. And its inventor(Satoshi Nakamoto) did not explain anything about its limits or goal. But This is the perfection of his invention that Bitcoin is going to rule all over the world. It denies accepting some border limits. Its network is spreading very fastly. This business has a unique interset & psychology that it is popular among all classes of life.No one can explain about its goals but future will decide about it.
Doubted that it is going to rule over the world as it was not intended to be like that. The reason for its creation is to give an alternative out from fiat to digital currency and it looks like we are going to that way, not just too fast to its way. Being one of the major currencies that we're able to use someday is a big achievement and able to fulfill the dreams of the creator.

However, if we are going to assess the current situation like it was said we are yet rolling to make it possible. Not to replace fiat (as people think), no, it was just a currency.
3211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 24, 2021, 09:39:14 AM
That's a lot of bet man, can I ask a question? did you analyze all your bets? because if you do, that means you don't so fast to come up with a decision on what to bet, and looking at the betting slips, that's all winners so I'm impressed.
Yes, sir. I do analyze it to increase the winning chance. Then, a part of it is also because you watch games regularly to know the players you should bet for.
Like for example at my wins, Batum is known for his defensive strength, and steals is a norm for him. I cannot even count how many bets I won in his player props for steals.
The Haliburton win was because the Kings do not have their firepower De'Aaron Fox so he had been stepping up his game for the past 3 games.
21/27/24 points. Hitting 16.5 is easy for him.

76ers versus Hawks - 76ers -10.5 Hawks in deep bad shape to even lose against the Magic. Embiid will definitely have a monster game on this one.
Mavs versus Bucks - Bucks -4.5 Both stars are out due to Covid. KP also questionable. Bucks on the other hand have DeMarcus Cousins who is stepping up his game. This will be good for him.

That's enough statement for me to be convinced that you are really doing well, without Knowledge, you won't be able to analyze everything in just a short span of time, congrats to you mate, whatever struggle you have in the past (if you have), it's paying well right now because you are winning games.

My journey here still continues though I don't reach my target consistency yet but I'm more than inspired from people who loves to share their winning picks because it takes an effort and not being selfish to do it.
3212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 24, 2021, 09:05:56 AM
From Coaching staff to all of their players, just keep up the good work! Like I said before, their record is hard to achieve and I'm sure no team in the league, even in the future, can surpass their record. What a milestone at this franchise.

Lol, they are making history in the easiest way and something that the franchise cannot be proud of. I think we already see the effect of the owner's statement on planning to sell the team, players and coaching staff are not so hungry and it's okay for them to lose.
3213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delusional or not? on: December 24, 2021, 07:05:23 AM
Licensed could work but newbies will keep getting trapped by non licensed projects, I'm sure many of them won't be able to tell the difference until they fall for scam, also the licence idea will erase Decentralisation from crypto world do you know that? Coins like Monero and others (privacy coins) will become a joke
They'll get in trapped and choose fake projects if they blindly invest in projects that are scam/fake. Perhaps, it wasn't new to the newbie and if this comes to real and strictly complied by the developers, this would possibly lessen worthless projects to exist but can never stop it. Whether we like it or not, these scammers, fake developers will continue their evil doings as long as they can and as long as there are greedy people around who wants easy money.
3214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: December 23, 2021, 11:24:55 PM
When Bitcoin moves 95% alts dumped. BTC moves up or down, Alts goes down. where we invest and no one can predict the market movement.

So what would be the right strategy of Diversifying Crypto Portfolio...
Altcoins are NOT the right option to go investing with for the reason of diversification. Because, altcoins may induce your risks against rewards as 99% of altcoins do not survive over the time. So, never try to diversify your portfolio within crypto space.

You should go for diversifying your portfolio with all types of investment opportunities which includes skills and personal-development. If you develop any innovative skills then you can easily earn and save which must be a greatest investment for entire life. If your skills working for continuous income stream then probably you may never need to worry on ROI as you can wait for any good returns.
Because as Bitcoin drops, altcoins will follow, and selling Bitcoin just for the sake of investing altcoins have no sense at all, we just lose than making a profit. We'd rather invest more than diversify our portfolio that unless if we sell altcoins for long-term Bitcoin investment, that gonna be a good decision.

If I have $10,000 as capital, I sorted it out to different potential coins but then I take a huge share of Bitcoin 60/40 sharing. We have to invest those coins that have the ROI potentials so there is no need to diversify our portfolio but rather to keep adding more to it.
3215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: December 23, 2021, 10:25:43 PM
Well, some people think that holding makes them profitable in the end. Just like to say that we hold for 5 years and after that we sold them. We can be in huge profit if that day the market is in bullish but if turns to bearish, just a waste of time.

I admit that I hold some but it was just during the bearish season, I'm not in long-term holding as I sell them once we recover and see a profit on my end. Maybe I call myself impatient but I guess it was not as we just look for every opportunity comes and we don't waste much time waiting for nothing.
3216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: December 23, 2021, 09:51:35 PM
The main reason behind buying altcoins for me is that I missed out the Bitcoin train when it was in its baby steps and now I can't make enough returns by investing in Bitcoins. So if I am a little bit lucky then I can surely bank big by investing in altcoins and then I can become financially stable and maybe never have to do a 9 to 5 job in the future ever. But sadly it isn't any close to becoming true till now.
never just rely on LUCKY but have to trust the coins of your choice. It probably you have chosen the best and most promising one so, you'll be expecting a profit. And besides, some altcoins are more profitable than Bitcoin, and if time gives you the chance, you'll probably make more than just investing in Bitcoin.

As I bought some altcoins, I'm also buying Bitcoin. Well, I'd look for long-term and short-term investment so I consider buying Bitcoin even the price is not cheap while taking these altcoins ideal for a short-term deals.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 23, 2021, 12:08:14 PM
How about the PBA or the Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5169983.0

I am also active in this thread and I have some familiar names that I follow.

I always look at @bisdak40, @harizen, and @mirakal.
That's just a local games and it's different from international level of entertainment like NBA, Boxing, Tennis, F1, NFL, etc. But yeah, the topic is all about who's who are gambling expert in the subforum of gambling discussion. I barely follow some of them since I am not that a heavy player when it comes to gambling but since the Op mentioned some of the people he/she trusted the most when it comes to betting strategy, I might have to bookmark these people on list to see how great they are with their skills.

Correct, because if we add PBA in the list, that means other local basketball league in every country will be added too. We are just talking of big leagues here and for basketball, it's NBA which is the biggest therefore it should only be the one that has to be listed.
3218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 23, 2021, 11:56:01 AM
Lost my internet connection during the 3rd quarter of the Kings vs Clippers game but thankfully my bets hit.

I took most of it during the first quarter and I didn't know how it ended.  Grin
Same with the Nuggets game vs OKC as I missed the whole 3 quarters. How come they lose and why they didn't let Jokic come in the 4th quarter while the lead was cut down to 8? Was he fouled out?
Celtics on the other hand dominated the game with Jaylen Brown leading the offense at 34 points.

That's a lot of bet man, can I ask a question? did you analyze all your bets? because if you do, that means you don't so fast to come up with a decision on what to bet, and looking at the betting slips, that's all winners so I'm impressed.
3219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: December 23, 2021, 09:48:40 AM
According to the article here, that Tommy Fury is dealing with an injury even before it was announced leading him to pull out of the fight. That rib injury was caused by what they called an idiot on that gym that punch Tommy Fury with a bare knuckle that leads to a broken bone.

I can't imagine why that event happened in the first place? Not saying Tommy Fury should be able to handle it but did he receive the punch without paying attention? But regardless, at least his body should be strong enough to handle the impact even unaware and defense less.
Oh, that explains why Tommy Fury's team decided to pull out few days prior to the fight as he is badly injured and needs immediate medical attention. A rib injury is indeed a painful experience especially if it's caused by a bare knuckle punch, even if it's equipped with gloves a rib injury could still happen. Ofcourse that punch came from a much stronger guy with a motive to help Tommy endure the pain and make his body strong enough to withstand consecutive punches, it was just too sad that his body can't handle that much.
Maybe he also felt that he can't win against Jake Paul if he is not 100%.

On the betting sites, Tommy Fury was listed as the favorite to win the fight, but with him dealing an injury, I'm pretty sure the underdog will win. Boxing is a very physical sport, if a boxer has a problem with his body like an injury, his opponent will notice it and will easily exploit it to defeat him.
3220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: December 23, 2021, 07:40:46 AM

That means that they already accept Bitcoin directly from at least 2 countries: Mexico, and El Salvador. Some of the other countries in that list could potentially be the next one.
They did what it is supposed to be. They are adopting Bitcoin in the first place and so they have to allow their people to enjoy it. Like being accepted in big establishments like in supermarkets, that is something it leads to encourage small business to offer the same. It gonna be a chain of crypto development and this is what it mean to be and to be consider as a currency, finally happen in Mexico. And we supposed to see it in the other countries who have been promoting and accpeting Bitcoin.
