3201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crash in Trading on: January 30, 2021, 12:52:47 PM

Did anybody lose because you could not sell off all the coins in time before the crash?

Not exactly I was losing all the time because I'd never continue selling if there is no one left to buy my altcoins, I'd rather have to keep it instead. That only gives you more losses if you were able to catch the dip and sell your coins even you know that you are losing.

The fact that you are believing that this coin will eventually grow after the crash, why not hold for a while? It sometimes happens that a trader can be a holder as well. Not often, but that is what I usually do when bearish had come.
3202  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop an opportunity to buy on: January 30, 2021, 12:00:33 PM
As BTC is dropping now I feel this is a good opportunity to buy and sell for short-term there are lot of news coming across as miners are selling and this could be the reason for drop in the other hand institutions are investing money in BTC.

As biden is planning for a change in SEC I hope this could boost the market in upcoming days and the possibilities are more for a good movement in BTC, share your thoughts.
The fall in the price of bitcoin to $ 30,000 can hardly be regarded as a good opportunity to buy it in the current situation. Bitcoin will inevitably fall in value and lower. We see that its price volatility is very high right now. Price fluctuations happen very quickly. It is better to wait a while and look at its further price movements.
The correction will always be on the way, if we got this drop and buy during that time, you are making a return right now as the price moves back high again. That to say that every drop is an opportunity but you are facing the high-risk as well for it has a chance that it continues to drop. The good thing is that many institutional investors are helping the market not to drop as they are increasing the demand.

I don't think that Biden will be opposing crypto, that is why crypto holders are so much hopeful of his support. If that happening, expects to continue the bullish season this year or the years coming.
3203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: January 29, 2021, 10:47:16 PM
Yeah, a lot of people wanted to become rich but the question is, are working it to become real? It possible that only a few of them while the majority are just setting down and keep dreaming. If people had come into trading because of wanting to become a millionaire, then they are right but they should have to know that it can't be made in just a day and also depending on how you trade.

It is very unfortunate that many traders had come into trading without knowledge, of course, they will lose instantly than becoming a millionaire.
3204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters are getting axed harder on: January 29, 2021, 10:24:29 PM
There is nothing to be done about it, because cryptocurrency companies that conduct bounties knows that if something will go wrong, then bounty hunters will not be able to do anything, and therefore a lot of cryptocurrency companies that conduct bounties deceive bounty hunters and it is very difficult to deal with this, therefore, you need to get used to it and try to study each bounty project in which you want to participate in as much detail as possible.
Apparently, most projects look so promising which makes us undecided or even not sure if the project is truly promising till the end.

A lot of bounty hunters wasting their time doing this, crying for not being paid. As the market keeps growing many projects have been created almost every day but only a few of them succeed, which means that majority did not, and of course, the majority of these projects give nothing to their promoters, even the Bounty manager can't escape from this.
It is like repeating the situation in 2017 when the market experienced quite good growth. more and more new projects are growing and offering new ideas or interesting developments. but we ended up seeing so many projects that were just ideas without the reality of the products developing on the market. which clearly makes regret even though we are waiting for the results of the bounty payment that we get, it turns out that it doesn't give us anything for us to enjoy.
looks like this year will be like that too. we must be wiser in choosing projects to promote it.
I hope to see a profitable years for bounty hunters but with more solid projects, people have learned from their mistakes, they have matured now so they will not easily invest on projects, but who knows if there's a new platform that could attract a lot of investors, we might again enjoy the bounty hunting like we usually do in the past.
3205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 29, 2021, 09:58:26 PM
Anyone here betting on the Jazz vs Mavericks game?

What's your thoughts about this game, I like to bet in this game, I'm a mavericks fan but I'm scared with what the Jazz has been doing, they are still the hottest team now with 10 win streak, can Mavericks stop that streak tonight?
3206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: January 29, 2021, 02:18:43 PM

What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? Will you sell all of your Bitcoin for cash? Or will you go long in the hopes of Bitcoin reaching higher prices on the market? Will you donate your profits to a charity? Just curious to know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Still undecided and don't have a plan yet. Well, that is something out of reality...

Anyway, if the moment that Bitcoin will reach to $1mil, I will sell all my BTC and start for business. Of course, I don't leave crypto but much better to secure first our money. I know that it will never last long at $1mil, it surely drops again, that will also be the time to start buying again.

That will be my plan for now, but as I said first, still undecided and can be changed anytime depending on the market behavior.

3208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 28, 2021, 10:55:48 PM
some of us such as me, for over 30 years, 100% of my entire income has been from gambling. when u are autistic and unemployable because u make everyone so angry with your weird beliefs and fears with no work history since the min wage was $3.35 an hour, at age 19, and now are 51, u really have no other choice but to gamble for a living.

i dont regret it, i make about 50k a year now and used to only make about 25k when i knew less about poker than i do now, and its far better than what id earn at mc d or walmart so i dont regret it for a minute.

if u dont believe me i have a very famous blog that documents it. follow sevencard2003 on twitter which includes the link
Thanks for sharing your story. At least we know now that there are several people out there who are earning a lot in gambling. $25-50k is pretty huge money and only a few people can get and credits also to your skills on playing poker because you wouldn't get it if you're not good at it. Well, it's very inspiring for some but the average person who doesn't dedicate themselves to learning gambling shouldn't risk their whole money because it might go to waste.

You need the passion in order to be successful in gambling, and of course you need to learn how to calculate the risk so it will not be a problem for you if you will experience loses along the way. It's really a tough journey if you'll try to follow his way, that's the reason why most of us are not successful in gambling because it's simply not for us.

We either loss big time and regret or just do it for fun and loss what we can afford only.

it's always up to us.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 28, 2021, 10:23:14 PM
What do you guys think about LeBron’s foul against Embid last night? Is Embid right to say if it was the other way around he would have been ejected? It was definitely a dangerous play and probably the first time I’ve seen LeBron do something that deserved an ejection. Seemed like he was ready to hurt Embid to avoid being put on a poster. You usually don’t see that sort of pettiness from LeBron.

Watched the replay on Youtube and man, that was really dangerous.

IMO, Embiid's opinion if it was him who committed the foul, he could have been ejected is exaggerated. He think that the official only call a flagrant foul on James because of his status but forget to realized that he is too, a star in the NBA. I've seen lot of hard fouls on the NBA but seldom see an ejection.

Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXS5GeZVikQ

Lots of funny comments, people are not happy about the call. I thought it was Gasol who fouled him but when I watch the video again, it was clearly an intentional foul when Lebron is not anymore after of the ball but just to push Embiid to prevent him from dunking the ball.

This is so TRUE! Can't blame the Haters.

3210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN RIPPLE SURVIVE? on: January 28, 2021, 09:49:13 AM
Only time can tell, those who are investing in Ripple despite of the lawsuit news believes that Ripple will survive but those who see this risk might think Ripple will fall in the future so they are pulling out their investment.

Your question is answerable by yes, no, or maybe, you can't expect one answer only as being an investor, you area always bias.
3211  Economy / Gambling / Re: which are the safest sportbooks to play? on: January 28, 2021, 09:28:15 AM
I see many people give advices, and I am sure that 60-70% of people who gave advice don't gamble!
It's not a problem to bet on sports on any crypto sports book, if your bets are not big, you will not have problems with any casino (betnomi, stake, bitdice from recently...and many others)! They are all good, and fast... The problem comes with higher bets! Not every casino gives you a chance to place high stakes, and even if they allow it you can have problems with collecting rewards and withdrawing (you will be asked for KYC and other stuff)!
Many pro sport bettors gives fiat casinos advantage... and they say there's no crypto sports book that can come close to some big fiat sports betting names!

That's very true. What I noticed here in the forum, there are actually a bunch of reputable sportsbooks here. If I may add FJ, bitsler also. Never had any issue with them. I am a small time gambler by the way.  Wink So don't know if you will be in the VIP status or high roller status, that's when you need to be careful. But those mentioned sites, are quite trusted ones.

Me, I will never become a VIP in a certain site as I don't really gamble a lot, but choosing the right gambling site, it's so easy, we have a community that are willing to help everyone, by checking the ANN thread and the trust profile of the OP, we can already tell on the gambling site's reputation.
3212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: January 27, 2021, 09:54:26 AM
not sure the market is saturated - i think a lot of cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap are shitcoins, and a lot of nice (and not nice) defi tokens are coming to the market and transforming everything

No, you have to understand that although De-Fi projects are increasing in popularity but their marketcap is still way lower compared to the marketcap of bitcoin and ETH which is the most popular in altcoins market.

Look here https://coinmarketcap.com/defi/.. the marketcap in total is only $34 Billion while bitcoin has over $500 billion and ETH with over $100 billion.
See the difference? There's really a big difference.
3213  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: January 27, 2021, 09:12:41 AM
I believe it will not happen, banking are purely for centralized system, not for decentralized.

Maybe other institution but for banking institution, that's a complete insult to them.
Government, banking institution, and other related business all of them are regulated, once regulated it's always centralized.

They would not trust bitcoin on their future because reserve suppose to be stable, strong, and not prone to manipulation, bitcoin does not possess all of that.
3214  Economy / Gambling / Re: which are the safest sportbooks to play? on: January 27, 2021, 08:56:08 AM

Looks like Playbetr.com  is not added on your list mate? They are also a good sportsbook provider.

They are also a good sportsbook but since I don't usually play with the site, it's in the last of my list, and I think 4 is enough and there are still sites that are being recommended in this thread, so it's not really a big deal though.

Browse here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0

The sportsbook that I'm using now are as follows.

1-sportsbet
2-stake
3-Nitrogensports
4-Bitsler

I'm not endorsing it but I'm just sharing my personal choice as I never face any problem with these sites, and I'm sure people here will agree that these are good sportsbook.
3216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: January 26, 2021, 11:40:21 AM
Evaluate your purpose again, if I'm not mistaken, you buy bitcoin so you can sell it high for profit, it should not changed. If the current price does not give you a profit, why sell? bitcoin price will not be stuck, it maybe dump a bit or big time, but it's likely to rise again based on its development and you can also see on its price history.

Always remember that the longer bitcoin exist, the higher its value will become, and that is because of the continues adoption.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 23, 2021, 02:04:13 PM
1 game only and that is against the same team who beat them last night.

But here's what happened, when Harden arrived, he played with Durant and they won 2 games in a row, but when Irving came back, that's where the problem starts, they are in a 2 losing streak now and Irving has not won a game since his return.

It is also interesting that Harden had 30+ points in the first two games with Durant, but after Irving's return, he scored an average of 20 points per game. Anyway, they played only four games with Harden, and I guess Nets' leaders can improve team chemistry closer to the middle of the season.

Harden had a triple double in his first game so we thought he is really a real deal but things change when Irving came back. I think eventually they'll developed that great chemistry but I hope the coaching stuff will not only focus on developing the chemistry of the big 3 but the entire team most importantly.

look at the other guys in the roster, they are not effective anymore. One good example is Shamet, this guy is a shooter but in the game against the Cavaliers, he was scoreless with 0-5 beyond the arc, that's not him, maybe the rotation is not good so he has not adjusted from it.
3218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non successful projects find it hard to pay on: January 23, 2021, 01:48:22 PM
If the project is successful then there will no problem to pay bounty hunters, of course the team successfully raised their target funds so they should pay bounty hunters for their work but if the project is failed then don't expect that you will get the token, but if they still distribute the tokens then it will be worthless. It is really hard to find a good project nowadays.
Not every time, there are still bad projects that will not choose to pay their bounty hunters despites being so proud to raise their hard cap. These are the so called real scammers in the crypto space, they are not afraid that their reputation will be ruined because at the very beginning they already planned it.

sometimes bounty hunters would just shift to btc paying campaigns though the pay is quite low compared to bounty reward because they don't want to take a high risk anymore.

This is true, I agree with this completely, like 100%.
3219  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: January 23, 2021, 01:20:19 PM
After a year, the vaccine began to be released slowly. We are still vaccinating. I think over time, the virus will gradually decrease, the epidemic will gradually end, and life will return to normal times. Cool
Hopefully there will be no other virus that will come out, and these vaccines created are really effective and safe on the health of the people. We will never forget this covid-19 pandemic, but we are still thankful that it made our experts aware and finally they found the vaccine so people will be safe from the virus. I read that there's a new variant of covid-19, it's more stronger but I believe experts will also find a vaccine against it.

We have to learn from this, still follow the protocol and as soon as possible as the vaccine is available, we should not hesitate getting vaccinated as that's the only way to get back to our normal life.
3220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim - February 27 on: January 23, 2021, 01:00:06 PM
This is a mandatory fight for Canelo before going to Billy Joe Saunders. Yildirim had a strong left hook and body shot technical but he had a weak defense either. because of that, he got KO in the last fight. Canelo had should know Yildirim uses an inside fight strategy where that makes it easy to KO-ing in the first round.

Seeing how Yildirim performed on his last fight, i think this would not go the distance. If the betting odds for Canelo to KO Avni inside the 6 rounds then i would go for it.

This is just some sort of a tune-up fight for Canelo before his showdown with Billy Joe Saunders in "Cinco de Mayo". Hope no untoward things will happen as to not derail this fight.

6 rounds is probably a max for Yildirim, especially if he will engage with Canelo. I guess I'll also go with the round 1-3 KO win by Canelo. This fight is just all about what round Yildirim get KO because as a fan of boxing, not a bias opinion, we already know Yildirim has no chance of winning.
Of course in terms of experience and number of matches Yildirim is very far from Canelo, and if Yildirim can keep his distance to avoid Canelo's deadly blow it looks like it will last a long time and will likely be more than 6 rounds.
and Conelo will still win the match against Yildirim which in my opinion is not a balanced opponent.

After the Triple G fight which happened twice in 2017and 2018 respectively, after that, I did not anymore see a fight that I think interesting, I always thought that the Triple G fights was the best fights of his career and if he will not give Triple G a chance to fight him for the 3rd time, I think we will only see a low caliber boxers fighting Canelo until he retires.
