Thanks for this unexpected initiative. You are very generous  Smiley

Previously, all the scammers I caught talking about personal dislike, now they will say that I caught them for money  Grin

You didn't know this was going to pay off like that. Unexpected gains don't count.

This is very motivating. I wish all campaign managers were doing it. On the other hand other managers aren't facing such a big wave of spam in their campaigns.
This has to be the biggest campaign on Bitcointalk so far. If it doesn't have the largest number of posters which I think it does then it at least wins with the most banned users.
3202  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-18] Bitcoin Has Failed But Global Stablecoins a Threat, Say BIS and G7 on: October 23, 2019, 10:24:19 PM
They are retards who traditionally see a store of value as something that doesn't change value and bitcoin to them is a failure because it gains value. If you offer me government bonds that will remain relatively stable or bitcoin that can go up by 200% in one month I'll always take Bitcoin.

It doesn't matter that it can also lose some value in the short term. The important part is that in the long run it goes up.
3203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down...now at $7,654.85 on: October 23, 2019, 10:18:19 PM
Very interesting article from Pro Hashing about the situation in the cryptocurrency world:

https://forums.prohashing.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6695

This bit about mining was very concerning:

Quote
Miners continue to declare bankruptcy and leave the industry, and IPOs and fundraising for new ventures have been put on hold. Prohashing's daily revenue declined from $260,000 on February 13, 2018 to $11,250 in early October (it should be noted that some of this revenue was mistakenly paid as a result of bugs that are no longer present as the system has become more stable, so the actual reduction in profit is not proportional to the decline.) Litecoinpool.org's hashrate declined from 100TH/s to around 22TH/s today. We recently contracted a person to write a report whose job is to sell miners to large firms, and he said that almost all of his business today results from liquidations.

It's possible that today's flash crash was caused by someone liquidating all their coins in order to pay bills before they exit the industry.

Watch some miners on youtube they are doing ok. Also if you have enough money to hold on until the halving you will make profit.

There's not much lower Bitcoin can go. I just don't see us doing the same thing we did in 2018 and breaking through 6000 dollars. This was a very strong support and will act as such support again. We're going to be held there for months if it happens to even go that low.
3204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s Rise Neutralizes Bearish Mood on: October 23, 2019, 10:05:43 PM
~Skip
how low will we go? $7k? lower?! that bounce off $7300 doesn't look like a bottom to me.....
Before and after halving the price of bitcoin will still go down, this is proven based on the data. Today, in fact, bitcoin is falling fast and I think this is only temporary. The market will recover this week, I don't think the price will drop below $7,000. Actually this is surprising, but the last few days bitcoin looks stable and in my opinion this is a sign of falling prices, in reality prices are down on Friday quickly. But I think the price will recover soon.

I think you got confused. The history is showing us that before the halving Bitcoin pumps and then loses some value right after, and then usually pumps again when fresh coins mined at higher difficulty enter the market.

I see this dump today as a reaction to the Libra inquiry that was supposed to happen on the same date. The price doesn't dump just like that on its own without something significant happening in the world.
3205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy a car with bitcoin cash on: October 23, 2019, 09:55:50 PM
The biggest problem is they aren't trying to sell you normal cars only those super expensive that people don't buy often. For them it's always a win if they get someone to buy because dealer's profit is very high.

Not only do they get a high profit because the car is expensive but they also can hide some additional fees in exchange rates and such. When you're selling a car for 20 thousand all you can hide is maybe a few hundred dollars but in a car for 200 thousand Wink
3206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: October 22, 2019, 08:40:52 PM
There are safer and more dangerous ways to get more BTC. Safe ways are working for it, trading things for it, participating in a signature campaign.
More dangerous ways are trading or investing in safer projects like casinos and exchanges
Even more dangerous is gambling and trading with leverage.

In the end the choice is always yours we can only give you some options.
3207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy a car with bitcoin cash on: October 22, 2019, 07:41:31 PM
I'm not interested in BCH but that lambo costs 47 BTC. It's a ripoff if you ask me. If I had 47 BTC i wouldn't spend it all on some car that's too expensive to do anything with.
Some simple facts about a 47BTC lambo:
It's fragile. If you get hit by another car your lambo is going to fall into tiny pieces.
Every scratch will hurt you because a scratch on a new car worth 20k USD already hurds and a scratch on a car worth 400k USD will hurt 200 times more.
It's going to burn so much fuel you better have 1 BTC left just for that.
You're going to have sleepless nights worrying that somebody could steal it or damage it. You won't be able to even park it at the street.
If Bitcoin pumps 10% you'll know that you lambo lost 20% of value in its first year and Bitcoin went up 10% that's a 30% loss for you.

Bad idea!
3208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: who else think Litecoin will go huge? on: October 22, 2019, 06:57:50 PM
LTC is doing bad because it's not good for anything. It got popular due to a few things.
It was advertised as silver to Bitcoin's gold.
It was the first forked altcoin.
It had scrypt mining which at first was a new and interesting thing.
It had Charlie Lee who was very active on social media and knew how to run LTC like a business.

Now people see that LTC is boring. It isn't used anywhere. Its founder sold his coins and left to another project. It's not going to be the altcoin silver. ETH is more likely to achieve that.
3209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2019, 06:47:22 PM
Other people are just going for bounty and not for crypto curency. As a result, the bounty scam has weakened and people have gradually lost interest with the bounty! So the only left is anyone who knows crypto and is here for crypto and not just the bounty or the money that can be earned here.

WTF are you talking about. Bounties are an altcoin thing and OP was asking about losing interest with Bitcoin. You didn't even read the title of this thread yet you have answered some shit to get paid for posting. Shame on you!

People aren't losing interest and the uptrend we've faced a few months ago is a proof that i'm right. We went from 4 to 14 thousand dollars. Is that a loss of interest to you? Not many traditional assets have bull runs like that in their whole lives.
3210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just turned 40 today and want to be part in BTC Community (Beginner) on: October 22, 2019, 05:43:48 PM
40 is not a lot. I know many people close to that age who are involved. In fact, I know less people below 20 who are into it than people over 30.
Welcome to the forum and I hope you will not get discouraged by FUD and the bears and continue your crypto journey. Good luck and remember to keep your coins safe and avoid scams.
3211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: October 21, 2019, 09:15:01 PM
Chances of crypto going zero is none. Unless some software deletes everything from every computer and permanently whips out bitcoins and others from the surface of the world. I think crypto is really here to stay, even though bitcoin is seeing it’s dark days, but it will surely rise again.

This is correct as there will always be a glimmer of hope. People will want to have some crypto in case it goes up again. Some will want to have it to remember. Some are already hodlers for life and will not sell everything even if it goes to a million dollars.

0 is metaphorical in this matter. If a cryptocurrency would go from being worth 1000 dollars to 1 dollar we could say it went to 0 because it's no longer worth anything in comparison with former price.
3212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your crypto before death? on: October 21, 2019, 08:59:16 PM
Before that happens, you need to tell your family whatever you have in the world of Crypto, including the e-mail address and password that you use on each Exchange. Preparing yourself with that way I think is the last resort to save your Crypto assets.
It's not a great idea especially if you have a large family and a lot of money.

People get unexpected problems in their lives like debt or addictions and knowing you have a lot of money and your passwords they could try to steal from you. Your brother who you trust now could become an alcoholic in a few years and think only about another bottle. I don't trust people so I wouldn't share my passwords with my family only with 1 trusted person like a husband.
3213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who do you think will win the fight? on: October 20, 2019, 10:06:02 PM
Doesn't care on whose gonna win on the fight. The only thing I do hardly believe is that these Wrestling/RAW fights are totally fake.  Grin
You're half right and half wrong. It's not entirely fake but yes there are some fights that are fake and there are also real fight. Do you think it's fake when a wrestler got hit by a metal stairs and bleeds?. Well, not that I don't like your opinion but it's what I believe and tgat's what you believe so it's a win win situation.

99% of it is fake and when they bleed it's usually an accident because they often jump on things and you never know how you'll land and throw things at each other. Sometimes they set it up to look more realistic and have a short real fight but that's a minute in a 5 minute match where the other 4 minutes is two guys stomping screaming and chasing each other from one side of the ring to the other.
3214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: October 20, 2019, 09:59:12 PM
To fight hunters not being paid their attitude has to change. Demand money to be escrowed and demand to be paid in tokens that are already listed on exchanges. Don't agree to work for something that could be listed because this is not work ut gambling.

To fight scams you have to be less greedy and spend more time researching projects. Greedy people are taken advantage of in real life and in the Internet.
3215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins are a Threat for Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2019, 09:55:10 PM
I don't know why people think that stable coins are a threat to bitcoin. Infact they are playing a bigger role to helping to solve the problem of high volatility in the cryptospace that has left most traders with losses.

The threat is in the potential fallout from the companies behind these coins printing too much fake money and going bankrupt. USDt was supposed to be backed 1:1 by usd. People were asking them to show them proof that it's backed and got none. Finally the company admitted that some of the USDt in circulation is not backed. Who wants to be the last fool to turn their USDt into USD? Not me.
3216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP! I want to invest but don't know which and how. is DigiByte ok? on: October 20, 2019, 09:43:37 PM
Digibyte is not a very good coin even among the second rate altcoins. The rule is that when you're starting your journey you should have BItcoin. Spend at least half of what you have on bitcoin and the rest on an altcoin project. You could also go 100% bitcoin which I would recommend.

If you choose altcoins there are top projects like ETH and less popular but still interesting altcoins like Dogecoin. Choose something of that sort and don't waste your time on the rest.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 20, 2019, 09:27:18 PM
I'm a little superstitious so if I won big on a lottery I'd spend some of the money doing good. I believe that when you do good you get blessed by those who received your help and it will protect you and allow you to spend the remaining part of your money and have fun. I would help my friends and family first and then donate some, especially to animal shelters.
3218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now Bitcoin today on: October 20, 2019, 09:18:05 PM
And it looks like we have launched. The RSI was again showing a buy opportunity and people took it. I hope it's not going to be short-lived. We could use a few green dys right now.
If you ask me if you should buy today I will always answer yes. Smart people are dollar cost averaging just to hold as much as possible when we enter real parabolic rally like you've never seen before.
3219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people use facebook libra coin? on: October 19, 2019, 10:40:02 PM
how will people use libra,

Like a stablecoin with the addition to being accepted for payments through FB and its affiliates

Quote
and when will libra be available?

We don't know. When the regulators give it a green light and for now they are more inclined to giving a permanent red Cheesy

Quote
did you think that libra will overtake bitcoin and other crypto coins and become the number 1 coin in the crypto market?

No. It's not a rival of Bitcoin but other centralized coins like XRP and XLM.
3220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it help bitcoin if we shift funds to it ? on: October 19, 2019, 10:02:17 PM
This is what happens when people notice the real value is in Bitcoin. Altcoins had their boom when Bitcoin was pumping and people were fooled by altcoin gains that could go from 0 to 500% in days. Bitcoin with its 1000% a year gains looked weak compared to that and people are greedy. Now all the bagholders are thinking about dumping everything and going back to Bitcoin which isn't that great because when you lose 80% of your investment the worst thing you can do is panic sell. The time for panic selling was when you were 30% down.
